The winner of the ABC presidential debate was President Donald Trump, not because there was anything he needed to say in order to win the debate, but simply because the transparency of the ABC debate bias was too visible to assist Kamala Harris. [SEE HERE]
It is really not worth discussing because no one in America pays attention to corporate media any longer. However, David Muir and Lindsey Davis both spent all their time attacking Donald Trump while running interference operations for Kamala Harris. The insufferable nonsense was so transparent that even Megyn Kelly was angry, albeit accepting her influence and affluence are now tied to being pro-MAGA.
It is a little funny to see MeAgain Kelly calling out the connections between ABC officials and the Harris campaign in this debate, when factually in 2015 Kelly played the role of Lindsey Davis on behalf of Fox News debate director Bill Salmon. In addition to Fox owner Rupert Murdoch trying to support Marco Rubio, Bill Salmon’s daughter Brooke Salmon was the communications director for Marco Rubio’s 2016 campaign.
Rupert Murdoch and Bill Salmon used Megyn Kelly to attack candidate Donald Trump in the August 2015 debate (sexism), and then Murdoch paid her off via a book deal through Harper Collins publishing which he also owns. So, it is a little funny to see Megyn Kelly clutching her pearls at the bias exhibited by David Muir and Lindsey Davis. WATCH:

The moderator is not correct though because it wasn’t that long ago that we were learning what goes on *when babies survive abortion attempts*.

The moderators’ conduct alone is enough for me to conclude that Trump won the debate. Even though he didn’t perform nearly as well as he could have, at least he didn’t cheat. What we saw last night was Kamala cheating because instead of debating all by herself he had to rely on the moderators to do it for her.

i watched the entire thing – his technique of immeidately addressing her branding with boomeranging it back on her made her blush it was so good. she was shocked her planning is on her face so quickly and with some ease he repainted a new way to see things.

He could’ve done more than that. He could’ve focused less on “then” and more on “now.” Most of his first term accomplishments have been undone by the Biden regime, and due to the effects of those accomplishments being undone he would have to implement different strategies in order to get them back. But he didn’t go there last night. Instead, he just said what those accomplishments were and just left it at that. He also missed opportunities to both promote Project 47 and disavow the talk about him signing a federal abortion ban.
And then there was the usual rhetoric on Russia. He should know by now that the war started because Biden was aggressive, not because he was weak. But he keeps framing it as “Putin attacked because Biden is weak.” That’s not true, and I don’t understand why he acts like it is. Biden is a warmonger, and the problem with warmongers are not that they are weak, but that they are aggressive. Trump could’ve pointed that out, but he didn’t. On top of that, he acted like the Nordstream Pipeline being shut down was a good thing. It wasn’t. It was exactly what the neocons wanted. Why do you think they later blew it up?

I subscribe to her channel. I find her an interesting commentator on current events and, at the moment, very much pro Trump and the MAGA agenda.
No question she went after him in 2016 and no doubt she was following her boss’s agenda. Most people who want to remain gainfully employed do so, as long as they can maintain their integrity.
But two things to remember here. 1) She was the unquestioned star of Fox News at the time with a record for head hunting. Trump was the biggest head in the game. 2) She hit him hard on his biggest personal issue, besides political inexperience, which was also a well known hot button issue with her …and he hit back with enough moxie to quell the issue in a lot of minds. His ‘Only Rosie O’Donnell’ one liner response became legend.
MK vs Trump evolved post 2016 and she became an open supporter of his policies. I think we should not be attacking her on 2016 without recognizing her current very public support for him.
Everyone has an agenda and MK can certainly be a drama queen …but the posted video is a pretty good takedown of the debate and pretty much exactly as I saw it.
Which is why I subscribe to both MK and Sundance.

As much as I enjoy The Treehouse, the penchant of many for going back years in a person’s history and finding a reason to slam them, even when they’re ostensibly fellow travelers with us for the moment, is too frequent. Why in the world expect better of people if them at their worst is all we’ll ever credit them with? If that were my criteria, I never would have supported Donald Trump.
Now, my personal feeling is that Megyn realizes that the Left will never accept her and that to find a home on the right, she’s got to throw in with Trump and support the agenda. And support it she seems to! Whether you like her or not, Megyn has a sizeable platform and to use it to excoriate ABC for what happened last night? Kudos to Megyn!
I don’t know about some of you, would you rather that in her post-debate spin she had ridiculed and raked Trump over the coals? I’ll accept the support until it’s clear it’s unwarranted. Frankly, that is Trump’s general outlook on life. Think what you want about her, Megyn is no Lindsey Graham.

I think the concern (oh! that word!) may be that people like her will just turn around and bite again when the time is “right” for them to do so.

Seems to me this is PDJT’s general approach – with a lot of discretion and that oft-abused word discrimination applied.
I’ve never been a fan of ‘realpolitik’ but I’ve accepted that it’s our world – not to accept saintly behavior from those who aren’t saints, but to acknowledge, practically, we have to find a way to come to common terms for a greater good. If people of otherwise questionable allegiances can unite on the goal of defeating Marxist Kamala, then so be it, on to victory. Not one principle has to be surrendered in furtherance of that goal.

I don’t ever waste my time trying to ‘reconcile’ my views with those of others. I do try to learn from them and oft update my views based on what I learn. Within CTH, if I don’t precisely agree with Sundance’s view on a particular topic or entity …and consider it worth posting my own, I will …one of us will be right and the other wrong but, either way, we’ve both had the opportunity to learn. Implying MK’s audience members are all stupid is, imnsho, just Sundance having an off moment. He’s human, it happens. So are we all.
OTOH, I certainly didn’t pretend that I can speak for most of MAGA (I tend to defer to Trump in that regard). Nor did I expose total ignorance of MK’s current very public positions re Trump by stating with surety that those familiar with them would not have been surprised if she had raked Trump over the coals.

Harris surprised me in two ways. She was coherent and she managed to get under Trump’s skin. She has no policy and is a liar, but does it with style. Sad state of the republic.

I couldn’t agree more. Trump is very poor at articulating his positions and pointing out the shortcomings of hers. When baited about people leaving his rallies, rather than trying to refute it he could have just laughed and said something to the effect that if what she said is true, it must be painful for her to know that the small percentage that leave his rallies attended by tens of thousands is larger than the number that attend hers. He could also have mentioned that the only way she can get people to attend her rallies is by bringing in popular entertainers and the large number that come for the free concert often leave right after the performance, before she even gets on the stage. I think Trump is an extremely poor debater, but the fact that he has drawn so many to him would seem to indicate he’s actually a pretty good politician.

The US is a Constitutional Republic not a parliament. Parliamentary
skills are good in Prime Minister’s Question time, major debates on policy
in the House of Commons before votes etc.
The current format of the debates is a distortion because you have two
questioners involved. Even formal debates are not normally presented in this
manner – you have a motion and speakers FOR and AGAINST the motion as
well as their seconders.
A better format is probably town hall meetings with members of the US
voting public having an opportunity to, on person, question candidates.

We talked about debate for about 2 minutes at lunch and a table of six all agreed it was a complete waste of time because of the moderators. Kamala looked small offering nothing of substance while allowing the moderators to argue with Trump.

Well, I do have to hand it to them. They have quickly figured out the solution to food inflation.

ABC oh yeah they are all very fine people. Take a list of all the BS lies Kamala threw at Trump last night that they always use like J6 BS and find 3 word counters to all of them every time they are used and run fake journos into the ground when they use them. This low down slander has to stop.
This “debate” worked out for the best for Trump. Not only did the president make his points, but in that one debate he challenged Harris in a way that the combined state media hasn’t so far, and labeled her the Marxist that she is. And he did it all while being seen fending off not only the mad Cackler, but her surrogates sitting in the moderator chairs.
Any honest viewer could see that the so-called moderators were in the tank for Harris, in a big way, and that some of her answers were rehearsed, which suggests collusion from moderators who gave every impression that their jobs there were to help Kamala debate Trump. That kind of thing sticks in the craw of many Americans, who expect a fair contest, no matter the outcome. If Kamala, who has run from every press conference or serious interview since usurping Joe’s nomination, cannot even debate Trump without an assist from the moderators, how on earth is she expected to stand up to Putin, or Xi, or the ayatollah?? She’s like a little girl being pushed out on stage and told to perform. And unfortunately for her, she simply is not up to it.
The truth will always out. What we saw was that Kamala is not ready for prime time. And all of her smirking, leering and weird facial expressions just remind people of how genuinely unlikable a person she is, something many former staff workers of hers have discovered.
Contrary to whatever plan the Left had, and the fakestream media’s visible determination to carry her across the finish line, presstitutes that they are, they will learn, too late, that you cannot stand up an empty pantsuit and not expect it to crumble.

I watched her for a little less than one min and was like, “yeeaah, noo, I ain’t watching you”.
I watched Harris closely during the debate. To my eye her appearance seemed to change as the debate went on. Her skin got looser and more pale, and her irises became larger and blacker. Had the debate gone for another hour, I believe she likely would have looked like a classic shrunken head with luxurious hair. There is something deeply, deeply wrong with her.

I agree. She was running out of steam at the end. I thought she might have slurred a few times near the end. Having to actually speak and answer questions is hard for people like her.
SD, my 2-cents …. what you say on facts concerning Megyn Kelly is undeniable for what she did to PDT. I do disagree that currently it is hypocritical or that she believes her audience is stupid. We do not know when anyone who realises their hypocrisy by God’s grace, repents. For those in the public sphere, the past is an indictment. Her closest concession to what she did concluding from her own experience conceding to her Fox employers.
It is rare to rebound from pretenses and hypocrisy when public indictment overshadows one’s current stance publicly. She has to know she will be attacked from the ‘indictment of her past and loss of ” her audience”. .. chose to do it. God’s grace – spiritual fruits; no matter if the whole world is against us.

When will the candidates learn they are going into a fair fight and get some training on how to handle that unfairness. I heard thet Trump bragged about not practicing for this debate. Well, he got smoked by the 3-1 attack on him and maybe next time he will be ready. If there is a next time. Still, he did OK but OK was not what we thought we’d see.
