People don’t listen to the media spin any more.
I think POTUS needs to be the way he was at the speech on the economy yesterday–all business, sharp, talking policy to get people’s pocketbooks back to normal, to help American fulfill her promise, to enable economic upward mobility.
When she attacks him with something other than his policy positions, he should remain calm and say things like, “People have seen how far your party will go to destroy people.” He can tie in what they did to him with their attempts to censor OUR speech, not just his.
One thing I hope POTUS realizes is that he should, in my opinion, speak often of the train wreck that has become HER PARTY. That is how he should refer to it: HER PARTY.

Lastly, each time he reminds the audience that “the Dem Party” has ignored them and their needs, he makes it more likely that when they fill out their ballots, they will not only NOT vote for Harris, they will NOT vote for a person with a “D” on that ballot.
Tie her to the party. Tie the party to her.
House and Senate members will appreciate that.

I have been voting in New York State elections since 1976 when I turned 18. I have never been asked to show ID.
In Texas you give them your Texas drivers license and they scan it, look at the picture on the screen look at you and ask your address that must agree with you DL. Then they give you the paper ballot for your district. Giving them your voter ID doesn’t work, it must be your DL or TX State ID that they can scan in.
That’s the way it should be.
That was what was behind the push to give drivers’ licenses to illegal aliens.
Your signature was your ID. It had to match the signature you gave when you first registered to vote.
It worked pretty well until they started registering people who weren’t eligible at the DMV.

The Biden administration is condemning Tucker Carlson for his two-hour interview with “a Holocaust denier who spread Nazi propaganda,” calling the sit-down “a disgusting and sadistic insult to all Americans.”
Earlier this week, the former Fox News anchor hosted podcaster Darryl Cooper on his show. Cooper suggested in the interview that Nazi Germany’s mass murder of Jews was an accident and that the millions who were systematically murdered had just “ended up dead” at concentration camps because of poor planning.
Carlson, who said Cooper was “maybe the best and most honest popular historian in the United States,” hit back at the White House on Thursday.

Statistician Nate Silver on Friday released his latest 2024 presidential election forecast, which shows former President Donald Trump at 61.5 percent and Vice President Kamala Harris at 38.3 percent.
The rise in Trump’s chances of 15.4 percent is a flip from Silver’s forecast on August 23, when Harris’s chances of winning were at 53.5 percent and Trump’s at 46.1 percent. Those numbers came right after the Democratic National Convention, when the vice president was still enjoying a mainstream media honeymoon.
I am curious about Silver’s polling methods. The media honeymoon has not ended. The coverage of her is just as glowing as it was from the moment Biden was given his walking papers. Silver prides himself on getting it right and accuracy so he is the single Dem pollster that I pay attention to.
I read his book (or get the title right now) but aside from the political crap it was good.
He used weather forecasting to prove a point. The cone on a hurricane is very wide when landfall is many days away; however, the cone is very narrow within a day and hours. This is because the statistics of the models allow a narrower interpretation. I probably botched that, but that’s the gist: the target moves based on new information.
The nuclear reactor in Japan that had issues during the Tsunami was built to withstand a 9.8 earthquake (not exact but it’s close, I’m going off pure recollection) because that was the largest magnitude quake they thought possible in the region. Nate explained that using linear regression a 10.2 (again, not exact but the gist) was possible (predictable) based on historic records and geological data. They misapplied statistics and under built the facility.
Where polling becomes suspect is it’s a pseudoscience in my opinion because the data can be manipulated. Nonetheless, I believe it’s a positive sign Nate’s models show a big shift towards our very stable genius PDJT.
