I’ve instituted a day of fasting every week for the last month and will do so thru the Election (and inauguration, should God grant us mercy and PDJT is restored to the the people’s White House). It is not a food fast or a caffeine fast, but rather a fast from all media (internet, TV, any music streams, news sites, etc.–yes, that also means CTH). The time I would spend with any of these is spent in prayer before Our Lord, praying for our country, PDJT and JD and their families–the list goes on and on.
I share this not to blow my own horn, but to encourage all of you to set up a day of fasting and prayer in lieu of whatever activity you are fasting from. Spend the time in earnest prayer for something greater than an Election Day victory in our nation: a return of hard hearts to their Father.
I know many of you are and have been prayer warriors far longer than I have been, but if the next couple years (or more?) are going to be tumultuous–and I believe they will be–I feel a personal need to step up my efforts and storm the Gates of Heaven more than ever.
