Lead singer Marilyn McCoo (she’s in the stretch white pants on the right) married singer Billy Davis Jr. (he’s right behind her in that video) in 1969…and BOTH are still alive AND still married to each other. She’s about to turn 81 on Sept. 30, and he’s 86!
The other female singer in that group is Florence LaRue and she is not only still alive at age 82, she was still singing with the latest iteration of the Fifth Dimension in 2018, wherein all the other members are not the originals.
And of the original men, only Ronald Townson has passed (2001). The other male singer besides Billy Davis Jr., Lamonte McLemore is 84 and also still alive.
Must’ve been some good genes among that original group. But also they always presented a very positive upbeat performance.

I showed my husband yesterday’s story of the fawn seeking help for her dad whose antlers were stuck in a tree – and now this.
I promise – I never lecture anyone about eating meat. Half my family does. And, I’m a shooter (of paper targets and cans). Many of our friends are hunters, but these faces of sentient “wild” animals seeking help are why I just can’t eat meat.
Meat must be cooked like it never breathed, saw or walked.

“How have you proven your own feeble inadequacy time and again?” While I fully agree with the fact that all our Godly works are only through, and by the grace of the Lord our God – We now being vessels from which the Creator will show His light. However, I have a problem with this constant reminding that we are at best worthless and inadequate. While this may certainly be true of ourselves BEFORE our “surrender” to God (in a good way), however, from then on we are “partners” with God, servants of the most High, and we (hopefully) do try our best to serve Him. We must no longer consider ourselves inadequate, feeble or worthless, but as Lions – confident, proud (in a good way), and strong. One cannot be a worthy servant, a trusted partner, a friend and ally, if we ourselves see ourselves as worthless. “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.” Be strong, your God lives inside of you.

Oglala Sioux chief (Battle of the Little Bighorn), dies at 37
Biography: Crazy Horse was a Native American war leader of the Oglala Lakota tribe. Known for his courage and ferocity in battle, he is celebrated as one of the greatest and most recognized warriors in the history of the Native Americans. His commitment to preserving the traditions and values of the Lakota people led him to resist white encroachment into the tribe’s lands in the Northern Great Plains.
One of Crazy Horse’s most famous battles was the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876. Here, he led a group of warriors in a fight against the 7th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army, led by Lieutenant Colonel George Armstrong Custer. The result was a tremendous victory for the Lakota, Cheyenne, and Arapaho tribes, and a devastating defeat for the U.S. Army.
Despite his successful resistance, the increasing pressure from the U.S. military eventually led to Crazy Horse’s surrender in 1877. Later that year, while under military arrest, a guard mortally wounded him during a struggle. Today, Crazy Horse is remembered as a symbol of Native American resistance and freedom, and his life continues to be celebrated in books, films, and a monumental mountain carving located in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Albanian-born Indian nun and founder of Missionaries of Charity (Nobel Peace Prize, 1979), dies of cardiac arrest at 87
Biography: Mother Teresa was a Catholic missionary who gained international recognition for her humanitarian work in the slums of Calcutta. Albanian by birth she went to India as a nun and missionary, where she received “the call within the call” an “order” to help the poor, sick and dying.
In Calcutta she established orphanages, hospices, hospitals and schools, projects that spread worldwide with her fame and reputation. By the time of her death, she was operating 517 missions in more than 100 countries.
Despite some criticism concerning the quality of care in her hospices and the spending of donated money, she was widely loved and in 1979 awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
A miraculous healing of a tumor was attributed to her, allowing Pope John Paul II to beatify her in 2003 – bestowing the title ‘blessed’.
Pope Francis recognized the healing of a Brazilian man with multiple brain tumors as a second miracle attributed to Mother Teresa and canonized her in 2016. She was declared co-patron saint of the Archdiocese of Calcutta at a Mass in the city in 2017.
Crazy Horse was an Indian.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Couldn’t stay around. Must be a long meeting. The Pauls have a long standing relationship with Hostettler who is running for 8th district in Indiana and apparently doing some campaigning together. I have no idea who the car belongs to but I stayed as long as I could to find out. Hostettler was a energy guy prior to politics and graduated from Rose Hulman. We have a rather interesting energy broker in the building so wondering if they’re all together. We have lots of weird in the building though.
Did I mention they replaced the Carmel fire chief with a department of homeland security guy?
Indiana politics is filled with Rinocrats.

I have been laughing for the last 10 minutes at these Cursday offerings.
Of course, the thing that makes things really funny is their relationship to reality. I can’t open the refrigerator for anything without a cacophany of kitty and dog noises appearing out of thin air.
And you should see how long I can stretch out closing the microwave door! 😃 😀 😄 😁 🤣

USHCN = United States Historical Climate Network. These are supposed to be sites which are “pristine”, meaning not effected by the Urban Heat Island effect(UHI) or asphalt roads or other possible distortion by infrastructure.
What I think Tony is saying here is that now more than 50% of these stations are “ghost stations”. NOAA claims the sites are there and active and pretends to report “data” from them, but actually they do not use their data and just “interpolate” the data, or IOW estimate what the temperature at the site location would be based on other surrounding stations. That’s dishonest and bad enough, but the thing is many, if not most, of the stations they are using to make that estimate are NOT in pristine locations and are effected by UHI or other infrastructure.
NOAA has made the USHCN network worthless for climatology, which was it’s intended use in the first place.
Kinda like what Weinstein said about science …, huh?!!?

Tuesday Sherry made Rotini pasta with mushrooms and meatballs and spaghetti sauce. We had a lot left over. So she sliced up the meatballs, put the mess in an 8″ x 8″ glass dish, and put tons of shredded mozzarella cheese and some parmesan cheese on top and baked it.
I liked it the 2nd time around better than the 1st time.
