I’ve noticed that ‘autocorrect’ often adds an apostrophe to change a plural to a possessive when it isn’t warranted.
An apostrophe connotes a possessive, ie.. Tim Walz’s dog Scout. So the usage in the article is correct.
Not correct, Judith. The phrase on the tee is “Walz’s for Trump,” and that imho is incorrect. It’s not possessive; it’s pluralized. The possibility that it was auto-corrected may be true, but if I got delivery of those tee shirts, I’d return them. I don’t like to appear dumb. Here are the rules for making singular and plural POSSESSIVES.

This opinion about God’s feels reminds me of the way historian Paul Johnson summed up Tolstoy; “he seemed to believe he was Gods older brother”.
Inflation is: – too many dollars (people) chasing too few products because leaches on the government dole don’t add anything.
Over the long haul Interest Rates are striving to reflect the Inflation Rate because no-one’s going to lend money unless they get at least as much back – so the erosion of the Purchasing Power is reflected directly in the Interest Rate.
Like all scientific truth it’s all very simple and elegant. The excess money injected into the system causes Inflation to rise, and then the Interest Rate will rise correspondingly with it.
Milton Friedman said it best: “Keep your eye on how much the government is spending, because that is the true tax.
There is no such thing as an unbalanced federal budget. You PAY FOR IT either in the form of taxes or indirectly in the form of Inflation.”
Inflation is the Transfer Tax paying for the policy of arbitrarily putting money in the pockets of people who haven’t earned it.
This is axiomatic, if it wasn’t moving from producers to parasites the creation of money wouldn’t be showing Inflation – but it always does because bureaucrats and politicians always use it to buy support – the created money is always moving in an unproductive direction – the movement never stops until everything is intolerable.
If you keep integrity in your money it keeps integrity in every other element of your society – and vice-versa if you allow corruption in your money it injects corruption in every element of your society – and then everything collapses.
They were all bought off decades ago – this is why fiat money is so dangerous – it creates this permanent disconnect between the policy that reality is demanding and the policy which is implemented as a result of the flow of fake money.
The problem also includes indirect payments to people like broadcasters and athletes through advertising Subsidies (the Subsidies reach every aspect of society now).
Maintaining a level playing-field instead of promoting special interests is the magic wand that puzzles Barack Obama so much.
All the waste they claim to be so concerned about would rapidly fall by the way-side and you would witness Conservation like you’ve never seen before; it would become part of the profit motive and inject frugality into the culture.
The exponential advantages are tough to express in words. The impact would be everywhere. Add some basic manners into the equation and the lives we could be living in the 21st century would be hard to express in words also.

First they shorted the products then they gave everyone a little bit of money. They produced the pandemic where a large part of income was spent on useless mandatory masks and toilet paper because . . . oh, you know the thing. I bought a favorite frozen egg white breakfast to have on hand for an encouragement to eat breakfast. At first I thought it was a different product as the box was considerably smaller and costs way more. No it was what I wanted just smaller and more $$. So I only bought two for special treat.

Your definition is a demand-side point of view, but we are not experiencing demand-side inflation, we are experiencing supply side inflation, all based on Malarky restricting the supply of hydrocarbons to the US in various ways.
Although a restriction in supply has the same effect as an increase in demand, that is not what is going on here.
We always have inflation under Democrats because they print money for themselves to rob the rest of us of our assets. The general public has to sell to pay bills and the Communists have unlimited money printing to steal our stuff.

I’m sure it’s already been stated, but while watching the Q&A portion of this event, I couldn’t help but think that there’s absolutely no way Comrade Harris could’ve answered the technical economic questions that were being lobbed at PDJT.
I watched most of PDJT’s speech live, and all of his question-taking. Very impressive, his presentation was pitch-perfect for the topics, the occasion, the audience. He was very well received by the NY Econ Club.
I suspect a lot of whispering going on all over Manhattan about how people realize PDJT is actually who the nation needs. Whispering that may turn into some percentage of NY ballots going for PDJT. Which may save those NY GOP House seats. Maybe bring NY into play? Miracles can happen in politics. The H.S. cannot be stopped.
My grandfather used to say, “I’ll take a thief over a liar any day.” I never quite got it, but it’s so clear now what he meant.
