The phrase “old-fashioned liberals” is key. I’m one of those liberals! What that term means today is nearly the opposite of what it meant to my uncle and my father. Liberal ideals are: equality before the law, freedom of speech, pro-working class policies, transparent government, opposition to war, regulation of large corporations, clean environment, opposition to authoritarian policies. With some exceptions, old-fashioned liberalism is more at home in the Republican Party now than it is in the Democratic. But really what this election is about, is bigger than a clash of two parties. It is about building a popular coalition to overthrow a corrupt establishment.
I wonder if the last Blue Dog Democrat that had been in Congress, former Virginia Senator Jim Webb has jumped on board the MAGA tsunami. He has previously stated that the Democrat party no longer represents the working men & women of America and was beholden to foreign lobbies and special interest groups.
Also of interest is the author’s views of the cultural marxist DEI-Critical Race Theory that along with “Democracy” destroyed Rhodesia, South Africa, and many cities across America & Europe, and eventually Western Civilization itself. They disparage Webb in the article, and having lost jobs to less qualified candidates, this article and Webb’s calling them out during the 2016 Democrat Primaries resonated with me bigtime. These people hate us, and if Treepers have children & grandchildren going to enter the job market, this should alarm them as well, because it hit me all the way back in the 90’s when I faced this unconstitutional anti-american marxist bs policies.

Monument Avenue in Richmond, VA has been destroyed by BLM. It was once a gorgeous tree lined boulevard with magnificent HISTORICAL statues down the middle. The black grievance industry simply could not have it, so now, none of us can either…
That is such a shame. It has been a while since I visited Richmond–My parents married at the Jefferson Hotel in 1945 before he went off to war. Mother’s family was from Staunton, her ancestors go all the way back to William Ball. Virginia has always been near and dear.
I visit the German restaurant in Staunton whenever I am heading north. Eustace Mullins was from there also.
The Shenandoah Valley is the most beautiful stretch of I 81.
Agree and I love seeing the real America that the back route exposes one to driving it. I have some restaurants in PA that I hit but the one in Staunton is nostalgic as Sauer Braten is a childhood favorite of mine.

That’s where I learned to drive; going down Monument Avenue and dealing with the circles, roundabouts, around the monuments was when my Dad said I was good to go and get that drivers license.
A friend’s mother along with other women, had chained themselves across sections of Monument Avenue to stop the city from removing the paver stones and laying down asphalt. We ended up with a nice pile of those pavers years later after the city finally did remove them, set them in piles to be dumped, so a bunch of people went and rescued those pavers, some of which ended up as part of our circular driveway.
Good memories and it really does break my heart to see what has happened to that beautiful boulevard.

It is heartbreaking, I agree. I was born and raised in VA. My daughter went to college and grad school in Richmond. She settled there after college.
Through the years of visiting regularly I saw the city gradually deteriorate, after so much was spent on revitalizing the riverfront district downtown, Cary St., Old Town, Church Hill… now its overrun and crime is rampant.
Now? Daughter and family moved out to the country where they have gates and guard dogs.
I despise the evil ones responsible for all of this.

Oh, and on the grounds of the Virginia Museum is a statue of a fictional black warrior riding on top of the Statue of JEB Stuart’s horse. That is to say, the new statue of a fictional black warrior, with a man bun, was plagerized from the work of a the French Artist who designed the Stuart Memorial.
The statues followed classic style. If the horse had one foot off the ground, the warrior died in battle. If the warrior was facing North, he died in battle, if South, he survived the War.
Matthew Fountain Maury, and Jefferson were not warriors, theis Statues faced due East.

In October and November-1969 there were two massive protest marches against the Vietnam War, “The Moratorium on the War”.
In one, they bussed in college students and handed each a sign with the name of a soldier who had been killed or was missing in action in Vietnam and a candle to march with.
The entire obviously political event was staged at Arlington National Cemetery and our march started there and continued across the bridge and onward to the Capitol.
No one ever said anything about this being a violation because it was political. There were hundreds of thousands marching.
I have several pictures of Arlington National Cemetery taken over the years and we took a video of the entire service for my mother.

I think I felt angry when I heard of the murders here in our country by illegal migrants. But, it kind of passed over me quickly. I’ve been sad since I heard the news last night about Hersh and the other hostages. Maybe it’s because we now know that they were alive until a few days ago; that there was a chance they could have been rescued if our leaders had tried.
Well, he won’t protect Americans in America, so it’s no surprise that he won’t protect them abroad.
Why is protecting citizens abroad more important than protecting citizens at home against the invading hordes of gangs?

I have been wondering about this for a long while; who in the 2020 Trump campaign told him to not give his victory speech on election night and wait until morning? That is the snake within, because by doing that he left it open for the massive ballot fraud that happened at 3 am. It would have been a lot harder to convince people it was legit if Trump would have made his victory speech…and mentioned how everyone, like Karl Rove, had already congratulated him on his victory.
That is an EXCELLENT question, Littleflower! Did someone know that the ballot drop was coming and they wanted to preclude President Trump from claiming victory while he was ahead? Just another of the many things that did NOT add up in 2020!

We probably can do wonders today with ear cartilage injuries today….in burn care, it was always the most difficult part of the body to get to heal via the normal bodily process of innate healing. We tried diligently to save that body part.
In the late 1980’s, a company in MA had mastered culturing and growing skin, from the patient’s own skin cells…we used it in a burn unit for an infant who was badly burned and did not have the surface area for the amount of skin grafts that were calculated to be needed. And it did not take very long…less than a couple of weeks if my memory is correct.
I am sure that progress in medicine, wound healing and plastic/reconstructive surgery has tackled that—I mean look at what they do the genitalia of the gender disoriented—-…and until O’Donnell gets her board certifications in plastic and reconstructive surgery, she needs to STFU. And no we don’t regrow but we do heal. One of the magnificent processes of the human body.

A Walmart employee was recently fired after he was stabbed during an attempt to stop a shoplifter from stealing merchandise.
