Shawn Thierry was recently defeated in the Texas Democrat primary run-off for re-election to the Texas state house by an LGBTQ+++ activist who was funded by the Democrats. This is the lady who stood up in the Texas House and made a speech endorsing the legislation that banned gender transitioning of minors. Of course, she had to be punished for publicly crossing over and voting in opposition to a project so near and dear to the elite Democrat funders.
Shawn Thierry has joined the Republican party. I don’t think she is attracted to the GOP so much as she is disgusted by the what the Democrats have allowed their party to become. She left the Left. There is no reason to expect her to be a full-throated DJT cheerleader.
On the federal level, Al Green represents the congressional district that takes in her state district. Al Green is 76 years old and is running unopposed. It is too late for 2024, but Shawn Thierry might be someone who could knock him out in 2026. I’d love to see her yank that congressional district away from the Democrats.

As both a committed pro-life voter and a committed pro-Constitution voter, I am deeply troubled by both Trump’s open support for Florida’s Amendment 4 and by Lila Rose’s subsequent threat to actively campaign against Trump. Neither of them are conducting themselves the way they should be on this issue.
On Trump’s part, he has every right to vote for or against Amendment 4. However, he shouldn’t have publicly announced how he was voting. Now that Dobbs has superseded Roe as the law of the land, Trump has no reason to weigh in on the issue at all, aside from reminding the public of the following cold hard facts: (1) Abortion is a state issue; (2) The federal government has no say on the issue; (3) The President has no say on the issue; (4) The only way to change that is through a constitutional amendment; and (5) The President has no say on the outcome of a constitutional amendment debate. Furthermore, Trump should’ve declined to state whether he would lobby behind the scenes for the outcome of any abortion debate, be it at the state or the federal level, and instead say that let the chips fall where they may. By going any further than that, he risks rocking the boat and costing himself the election.
As for Lila Rose, she should know better than to presume that Dobbs’ very existence means the federal government can now outright ban abortion on a whim. As long as a constitutional amendment hasn’t passed, it can’t and it therefore won’t. With that in mind, she should not be making this about Trump, Kamala, or any other presidential candidate. She should instead be focusing on the states legislatures, the state governors, and Congress. That’s where the real battlefield is. By making this about the Office of the Presidency, she risks rocking the boat and costing Trump the election.
The conservative movement at large needs to get its act together and take the ramifications of the Dobbs decision more seriously than it currently is. The game and its rules have changed in a very specific way, and people need to acknowledge that.
I’m going to state this for the hundredth time. Abortion is not the juggernaut voting incentive people make it out to be. MOST people are against it.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Are you seriously arguing that the overturning of Roe was some part of some anti-Trump conspiracy?
I thought Roe being overturned was God forcing the American people to show whether they were for baby killing or against it. No more hiding behind the supreme court keeping abortion legal.
It seems to me the majority of Americans are for abortion, and, sadly, that includes Donald Trump. He never attacks referendums that would allow abortion to the moment of birth, but woe to any state that tries to stop abortion. President Trump will publicly attack those efforts.
Florida 4th is a state level amendment that matches exactly Trump’s personal views, whether one agrees with his view or not, and as he has espoused, to include very recently on an interview.
He is also a resident of Florida and has every right to voice an opinion on a state amendment in the state that he lives in.
It’s in his nature to be outspoken and it’s his 1st Amendment right to do so.

Just because Trump has a First Amendment right to speak favorably about Amendment 4, doesn’t mean he should do it. Especially during a campaign. By speaking favorably about Amendment 4, he has sent a message to the pro-life community that he would support similar amendments in other states, and perhaps even at the federal level. Whether that was intentional or not is debatable, but if he wants to win the election he needs to stop sending that message, right now.
Meanwhile, pro-life community leaders like Lila Rose need to start acknowledging Dobbs and stop advocating things like Congress passing a federal abortion ban. What they advocate is unconstitutional, and it makes Trump look bad. They need to be more reasonable with their demands and acknowledge that there is a right way and a wrong way to get things done.

Bharat Rama appeared on CNBC’s Squawk Box but ended up being humiliated by the show’s hosts.
While appearing on a network that’s supposedly friendly to the Harris campaign, Rama tried to sell the vice president’s Communist-style tax plan.
Rama sought to convince the audience that a key portion of his boss’s socialist $5 trillion tax plan “provides opportunity” for Americans.
He attempted to explain to the hosts that taxing unrealized gains was fair, only applied to a small number of rich people, and was similar to a property tax.
However, Harris’s tax scheme includes a new minimum tax of 25 percent on traditional income and unrealized capital gains for taxpayers with more than $100 million in total wealth.
While supposedly just targeted at the rich, such a tax would create widespread economic damage.
Economists warn that the plan is unworkable and blatantly unconstitutional.
