Former Democrat turned Independent Tulsi Gabbard, a former congresswoman from Hawaii, today endorsed President Donald Trump against Vice President Kamala Harris.
Representative Gabbard served Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district from 2013 to 2021 but announced her exit from the Democrat party in 2022 after denouncing it as an “elitist cabal of warmongers.” Gabbard previously supported Bernie Sanders when the DNC worked internally to undermine his campaign in favor of Hillary Clinton (’16) and Jor Biden (’20).
Gabbard is a former Democrat who ran in the 2019 Democratic presidential primary against Harris and was recently recruited by President Trump’s campaign team to help with preparation ahead of the September 10th debate against Kamala Harris at the National Constitutional Center in Philadelphia. So all they want to do is play gotcha. And JDV hands it back calmly, with a polite little smile. That’s quite a talent in itself.
I do wish he’d refer to his boss as President Trump, rather than just Trump.’ Aside from the issue of respect, every time uncommitted voters see ‘President’ and ‘Trump’ next to each other, it’s a plus.

Not surprising. Been predicting this for awhile. 2024 represents the end of the traditional 2-party Dem/GOP construct as it has existed since the civil war.
Neither party represents anyone who is actually an American citizen anymore, unless said citizen swears unwavering fealty to the State.
The last big change in the party system precipitated the election of Abraham Lincoln and 4 years of violent civil war.
The GOP might lumber on a bit longer. But if Trump prevails, he can start deconstruction the GOP to form a new party (as RFK and others want, too). If Trump loses – or more accurately is blocked from office – there is no more need for the GOP because no more democracy. Game over. On to the next thing.
Expect the US to launch major wars in Europe and possibly the Taiwan Strait next year. I would wager the decision has already been made. WW3 will become the rationale for suspending “our democracy” indefinitely.
