No doubt. First wife was a nightmare. “Fun” at first but she was never “happy” enough. That’s the first really bad sign. If someone is constantly complaining of being bored? There’s a problem that needs to be sorted out.
Imagine a sine wave diagram. Apply that to emotional states. The area in the middle/average region should be where people “live” but if they crave extremes of the peaks constantly? They will see “middle/average” as “BAD” and will do everything to try to maintain peak. The problem is eventually “peak” will not be enough. And when they cannot get any higher? They will resort to the VALLEY to gain stimulus.
I have a BORING WIFE. She’s diligent and works well, has little in the way of humor and is mostly attracted to the middle and seems quite happy and healthy living within that band. I don’t need thrills and extreme stimulation either. I worry about people who think they need that.
That’s the biggest problem with people and their “look at me” social media. They all seem to act like addicts and nothing is real to them any longer.

In Scotland up until the seventies schools in our part of Scotland had what was called the “ tattie ( potato) holidays.

I still do work in my raspberry patch every summer. Was out there this morning pulling out bull thistles and American burnweed about to go to seed. Lots of twisty exercise for this old lady, and lots of sun and fresh air.
I am seriously addicted to gardening… Wish more young people of my acquaintance would get into it. Those microbes in the dirt protect from disease!
But I do suspect I would feel a whole lot worse about it if it were not my own raspberry patch and I made only slave labor wages for it (in the second example above) or none (in the first example).

When I was young ALL the young guys worked on farms in the summer. It was the only work available. No industry and people mowed their own yards.

Lovely thought, but expensive. Very expensive. When my wife and I raised chickens and goats, nothing tasted better, but the eggs would up costing us about a buck a piece, and the goat milk, probably 15 bucks a gallon. Small farms are so much less efficient. They will barely keep you alive until your feed runs out and then you starve. It was really fun and fulfilling, but it was never anything remotely serious. We did much better growing crops, but it was still really hard and in Texas, the bugs eat everything. We need big farms and smart experienced people to run them. We have since moved and have concluded we will do what we can, but you just can;t get by on a small farm you need at least 10 acres and a permanent water source. We had a well, ran Solar to power most of it. But we still would have been walking scarecrows after a year. We decided to augment our life with stored staples a good defense plan and just plan on hanging on for a year or so. That’s better than most would do. My neighbor is a trained sniper (Retired), lots of very good people around us. so God help anyone who plans to come and try to take what we have. He’s a really good guy to have around. We are a pretty tight community, and we are way out in the middle of Tejas with a nice view of the terrain around us. We sold the farm and now just plan on hunkering down for the worst of it. 2 lakes close by, lots of pseudo forest and space, and the goods to last. Still hate what America has appeared to become. I never thought I would see days like this. We have open communists running for power in America! Un-be-freakin’-leivable.
By the way, I am assuming that the people in power will NEVER give up their power without burning the place to the ground… Scorched earth.. Who knows who they will invite in to back them up. Preparing for the worst and praying for the best… It will definitely get bad before it can get better. Maybe this is all just a paranoid fantasy on my part, but all the signs are there, better to be not-surprised than to be surprised. If I dont need to be concerned, then by golly, I’ll be the first to rejoice and admit that I’ve been a damned fool.

It was extremely broad ranging legislation, not only covering the details if machine voting, it covered the legakities for CHALLENGING elections.
And one of the key provisions involved STANDING; in addition to the standard definition for any civil suit (in order to have standing to sue, you must show you were, in some direct way harmed) this legislation required anyone challenging election results was required to show, BEFORE any opportunity for discovery, that the alleged irregularities in the election caused the count to be “off” enough to have effected the results of the election.
At 10-14 days after the election night (ALSO required time limit from this legislation) it is NEARLY impossible to show that, in court with admissable evidence.
99% of those who gripe about cases being dismissed due to “lack of standing” do not understand this.
The Courts, including SCOTUS do not write the law; they interpret the laws THE LEGISLATURES, both State and Federal write.
Not defending SCOTUS, but if we turn our anger about “Standing” on SCOTUS, and then throw our hands up because there is nothing we can do about SCOTUS, we are missing the boat here, entirely.
CONgress passed the law to authorise millions to be spent on voting machines, and State Legislatures passed this package of laws WRITTEN BY THE MACHINE COMPANY LOBBYISTS, and such laws CAN be rescinded or changed.

I have told this story before, but here we go. During the 1996 GOP Primaries, candidate Pat Buchanan ran a Populist campaign on very similar to PDJT’s MAGA platform. He was doing very well in the caucuses before the first primary in New Hampshire (which had paper ballots). The “polls” had him coming in 5th or 6th, he won.
In 1992 he spent $30 for every vote he got. That is unsustainable beyond a small state that you can saturate for months. He had no legs anywhere else, because he focused only on contesting one primary and had n0 resources to carry on a campaign beyond New Hampshire. (He basically skipped Iowa.)
So in 1996, he had some residual strength in NH, but nowhere else. You can’t use NH as an example of Pat Buchanan’s appeal.
The whole point of my conversation with rharkonen113 was about the polls, nothing about whatever you are talking about.

Exactly the method I suggested here costing a mere $250,00 for TWO postcards sent over 120 days to, in my example, 500,000 suspicious voter roll entries. Twice that for one million, this showing that actually cleaning voter rolls is easily possible, quick and affordable.

Earlier this week, the mystery surrounding the origins of SARS-CoV-2 took another bewildering turn when the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic revealed that a “multi-decade, senior-level, current [CIA] officer” stepped forward to claim that when six of the seven specialists tasked by the CIA with investigating the origins of the virus concluded with low confidence that it likely came from a lab in Wuhan, the CIA paid those scientists hush money to reverse their decision. The six experts who were offered “financial incentives”—otherwise known as bribes—eventually concluded that the origin of the pandemic was uncertain. For its part, the CIA has denied the whistleblower’s claims. This denial was issued by CIA spokesperson Tammy Kupperman Thorp who, until just two years ago, worked as a journalist for CNN and NBC News covering, among other things, the CIA.
What we still don’t know is what exactly was covered up. China isn’t a U.S. ally. So why would the CIA want to hide evidence that the virus might have come from a Chinese government laboratory? The answer may have to do with the fact that funding for the infamous Wuhan Institute of Virology came from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)—which is relevant because USAID, while nominally America’s foreign aid agency, has decadeslong ties to the CIA and a history of acting as a cutout for the intelligence agency.
This is not the first time questions regarding America’s intelligence agencies’ ties to the Wuhan lab have come up. In June, I reported that one of the earliest gain-of-function experiments done at the Wuhan lab—where Chinese virologist Shi Zhengli houses what is likely the largest collection of bat-borne coronaviruses in the world—were funded by USAID. The aid agency’s funding was initially omitted from the paper that published the results of those experiments. But these new whistleblower allegations, which come from the CIA itself, present the first plausible evidence connecting America’s lead intelligence agency to efforts to sway official assessments of the pandemic’s origin.
Why would the United States government want to give Chinese researchers, who answer to their CCP bosses, the ability to conduct research that could potentially lead to mass deaths? And why would they want to fund it? One answer lies in Fauci’s true role inside the government. Contrary to the popular depiction of Fauci as an altruistic public health official, he was in fact deeply embedded in the U.S. military establishment through his role as the first head of U.S. biodefense, which made intelligence gathering essential to his work.

Dr. Malone: Here’s the story that I have had confidential verification on that I’ve never I’ve discussed once as a theory, but I’m now hearing that this actually has very strong merit and validity. What happened was that we had a breach of security in our intelligence community (in China). Our eyes got eliminated and I used to speculate about this but I’ve now heard internal confirmation that what happened was that there was a quid pro quo set up basically out of desperation and we transferred technology into Wuhan Institute of virology and the quid pro quo was to allow a limited number of human assets to have visibility about what was going on there.
So the logic is we’re in a bad situation. We know that these guys are doing stuff. We want to know what they’re doing because we want to be in a position we can develop countermeasures for that and so we want to do anything we can to get intelligence and we’ve now lost all of our eyes. What are we going to do? Well, we strike a deal. The deal appears to have been that there was technology transfer associated with Ralph Barrick and that whole program involving a modern advanced recombinant virology and recombinant DNA technology and known research having to do specifically about coronaviruses because if you go back in the literature, coronaviruses have been identified as one of the leading candidate agents for biowarfare for a very long time.
So we knew that China was doing stuff, we didn’t know what they were doing, we wanted to have eyes and we engaged in a quid pro quo that involved both funding transfer and technology transfer and Tony Fauci knew all about it. We give them a bunch of technology, we give them tech and money and they develop all this, and then we’re supposed to be able to see the results, right? So, how does it play out? It plays out that it it appears, so this is speculation, this is the chain of events as I see it. Okay, there was technology transferred from Eco Health Alliance and Ralph Barrick having to do with this furin cleavage site, the specific mutations, the engineering of the virus some potentially passaging in a humanized mouse strain, etc, that gave rise to a cluster of coronaviruses that were kept banked and, by the way, they have a massive bank of other coronaviruses that is there and untapped. We don’t even know what the contents are that they’ve been collecting in China for years and years and years but they came up with a a portfolio of recombinant viruses and they were testing those recombinant viruses so they were doing something, somebody got infected and the current timeline suggests that this happened in November and the CCP (PLA – W) came in and basically cleaned out the records and threw away the samples and did everything they could to make it so that you could never trace what had happened. I think we’ll never know.
Oh, I think we will know.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – China killed or imprisoned 18 to 20 CIA sources from 2010 to 2012, hobbling U.S. spying operations in a massive intelligence breach whose origin has not been identified, the New York Times reported on Saturday.
Investigators remain divided over whether there was a spy within the Central Intelligence Agency who betrayed the sources or whether the Chinese hacked the CIA’s covert communications system, the newspaper reported, citing current and former U.S. officials.
