Hello, Treeper friends. This is our customary Treaper Churh, Sunday benediction. As many of you already know, several years ago our friend Bet and I had an epiphany . . . Our Open Thread had attracted a population of strong believers in Our Lord Jesus. As a result,it just seemed obvious to us that what we shared here was a church. This is how the Treehouse Church came into being.

What we have hoped to create is a small place for find solace. Our benediction is intended to celebrate a gentle closure of the week. It is also intended to recoginze the beginning—and hope—for a new week. We hope everyone who comes here will share with us our intended shared solace. Be well, Treeper friends. Israel update:

Israel detected a planned attack of thousands (possibly 6000) rockets and drones into Israel at 5:00 AM. Aimed mainly to north Israel, some to central Israel (Tel Aviv area). A half an hour before the attack Israel launched a massive preemptive air assault to destroy the aimed launchers. Some 100 Israeli jet fighters attacked in Lebanon and destroyed most of the launchers and managed to defuse most of the threat. Yet, Hezbollah did manage to fire a couple of hundreds rockets and drones to north Israel. Iron Dome stopped most of it. A couple of injured Israelis. Hezbollah is reporting that “the first phase of the revenge for the assassination of their Chief of Staff was successfully executed.” They report hundreds of attacks at some 11 IDF bases in the north intended to thwart the Israeli air defenses as a first phase before a massive drone attack.
While they can call it “successful” we know that the preemptive trike was very successful and left the Hezbollah confused and most of the attacks were not -effective. Israel is expecting another wave. The US is backing Israel up and the Secretary of Defense said that they are prepared for Iran.
Note: It’s possible that Iran was supposed to attack after Hezbollah exhaust us.

Scottish inventor, mechanical engineer and chemist (steam engine), dies at 83

Biography: James Watt started his career making mathematical instruments in Glasgow. By 1757 he was working at the University of Glasgow. While working on a Newcomen steam engine Watt had the idea of a separate condenser that would vastly improve the steam engine’s efficiency.

Entering into a partnership with British inventor John Roebuck, Watt built a test engine and filed for a patent. Birmingham industrialist Matthew Boulton latter took over Roebuck’s interest and the two formed a successful company, building pumps for the mining industry.

Watt went on to make several improvements to his steam engine, invent a rotary motion, his sun-and-planet gear, and later a pressure gauge. The commercial engines that resulted were much in demand by paper and cotton mills and were to sit at the heart of the Industrial revolution.

The international standard unit of power, the watt, was named after James Watt in 1882.

Often intrigued by what Garrison describes as “Bone crushing joy” and assuming of course he is referring to that “moment” when God touches your soul – when at that moment, there is not a shred of doubt of His existence and glory. Just bringing this to peoples attention, as an investor friend has just brought it to my own.

Hand-in-hand with the great reset comes “The Great Taking”. This recent documentary appears not to be well-known, judging by the relatively low number of views on video platforms and as stated directly by the producer in the film.

The documentary describes how, over the past 60+ years, the legal framework has been stealthily and surreptitiously implemented worldwide to crystallise into reality the “you will own nothing” part of the W_E_F’s signature trope.

Example:
You buy a new vehicle from a dealership and pay for it outright, so you own the vehicle, right?
Wrong! In law, the vehicle still belongs to the dealer because that dealer will have acquired it using a line of credit. The law concerned with credit default obligations (CDOs) states that the vehicle can be repossessed at any time from the “owner” because it still belongs to the dealer, legally.

The same law applies in relation to property, including land and buildings, stocks, bonds and all other assets.

Knowledge of derivatives and other financial instruments will help in understanding the content of the film. It’s duration is 1hr 12mins.

Note: there is a gloomy musical soundtrack which runs throughout the entirety of the presentation. It distracts from the content somewhat so do whatever you need to to tune it out.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me. 

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

You see a snake in the garden. It is bright and beautiful, with red, yellow, black, and white markings. Is it the poisonous coral snake or the non-venomous milk snake? You try to remember the difference. You recall that the venom of the coral snake is considered to be second only to the black mamba snake found in sub-Saharan Africa. 

You make the choice to just let it live among the flowers, hoping that, whatever it is, you will not encounter it again.  

You may not have a clear understanding of the differences between the two snakes. Checking your reference material, you see that the skin of the coral snake has defined stripes, but that of the milk snake is blotchy. Snake expert Clint Bartley warns, “However, do not assume a snake is not venomous simply because it has blotches. You should still stay away from a wild snake to avoid getting bitten.” 

There are “snakes” in today’s churches—dissenters who will say, “I’m not really sure that God meant it when he said…” or those who claim, “It might have been right for Paul’s first century culture, but it’s not for today.” One commentary notes, “Paul is not referring to believers who have differences of opinion over non-essentials.

In every church, there are those who outwardly and perhaps in many other ways appear to be Christians but are not. They are counterfeit saints.” Keep an eye out for them. They are dangerous to you and to your faith.

Stay in the Word of God, so you can discern the differences, which are often subtle. Theologian John MacArthur warns not to “become engulfed in dialogue with ideological error,” making your walk with the Lord ineffectual. Rather, do as Paul urges in today’s verse, “avoid them.”

My first Yellow-throated Vireo in my yard yesterday afternoon. This would be an early migrant as I believe there were 2 high up in my neighbors tree, and I also saw a Blue Grey Gnatcher in my Yaupon Hollies, which is a yard second and another more than likely semi-local migrant probably from the mountains nearby. Also had my local female Ruby-throated Hummingbird
sit in my Blackhaw Viburnums which they seem to like to sit in, and than come back a few minutes later and feed off of my Cardinal Flowers. Also had the local wandering gang of Bluebirds come into to use the Birdbaths & the Goldfinches hitting the baths and wildlfowers. The weather this past week has been spectacular, no humidity, breezy, and high 70’s, making it feel like early fall weather. Keep your eyes out for migration , its starting as I saw some Warblers last week.

Lord of Peace, as evening falls, I seek the calmness only You can provide. Quell the storms of my mind and replace anxiety with Your peace. As the world quiets down, let my heart do the same. May Your presence envelop me so that I may know tranquility tonight and always. Amen.

Serenity at Day’s End

Heavenly Father, with the closing of this day, I ask for serenity. As the night sky displays its vast beauty, let my soul mirror its peacefulness. Help me to let go of the worries of the day and trust in Your loving care. May Your peace reign in my heart and home tonight. Amen.

There is a group I’ve been involved with in the past called Bible Study Fellowship. Non-denominational, deep dive studies into Scripture.

They have met since 1959 and are now starting their next series on REVELATION. (I thought they had celebrated 100 years but not quite yet!)

Everyone leaves church denominations at the door and only the Word of God is studied. It is SUCH A GOOD group and I really enjoyed it.

The study is administered all over the world at exactly the same time… so if you were randomly traveling to London.. you could join the London study and be in the exact same place as your home study.

Savannah and I are joining. It’s available online and in person at varying times morning or evening availability. Women and men’s groups are split up.

The book materials may be printed off from your online portal, or you can purchase them reprinted for you… saves ink… for about $17 to put into a 3 ring binder. They accept a free will offering for the sponsoring churches, but that may consist of just a very small donation each week… there is no minimum and no judgement.
