One of the options for volunteers is to be a poll watcher. Some people may not realize that you can’t just sign up on Trump Force 47 and then get called. Each state has its own rules, so you may want to check these out:

I strongly suspect this is happening at the voter level on a MUCH wider and deeper scale that anyone is admitting, including and esp. among leftists who don’t want to be ostracized by or kicked out of their social circles. Not just for an issue like this one, but a number of issues/reasons.
They also don’t wanna hear “toldaso” from anyone to their right. So, they keep their mouths shut…but they are done with the democrat party, at least for this election cycle.
At least 6 State Democrat Legislators, including one from Californicate, have announced they were switching parties, and not just to “Independant” (not counting Kirsten Synema!) but that they are registering as REPUBLICANS.
They would not be doing that unless they were convinced their previously Dem majority electorate, had also switched.
