Representative Clay Higgins is a member of the congressional investigative task force looking into the assassination attempt by Thomas Matthew Crooks against President Trump. Rep Higgins was also doing independent research prior to his appointment to the congressional committee, and he released his preliminary report findings today [SEE HERE pdf].
There are some remarkable revelations in the 6-page pdf. One detail outlines how it was a Butler County SWAT officer who fired the initial shot that stopped Matthew Crooks after 8 shots fired. The Feds did not initially stop the assassin, the locals did. Another detail highlights how the Butler County coroner was not aware the FBI quickly released the body of Crooks for immediate cremation.

Shot 9 hit Crooks’ rifle stock and fragged his face/neck/right shoulder area from the stock breaking up. The SWAT operator who took this shot was a total badass; when he had sighted the shooter Crooks as a mostly obscured by foliage moving target on the AGR rooftop, he immediately left his assigned post and ran towards the threat, running to a clear shot position directly into the line of fire while Crooks was firing 8 rounds. On his own, this ESU SWAT operator took a very hard shot, one shot. He stopped Crooks and importantly, I believe the shot damaged the buffer tube on Crooks’ AR. I won’t be certain of this until I can examine Crooks’ rifle, but I’m 99% sure based upon reliable eye-witness ESU tactical officers who observed Crooks’ rifle before the FBI harvested it as evidence. I find this uncertainty in the report to be an example of how this investigation is a foot-dragged cover-up:
The 10th (and, I believe, final) shot was fired from the southern counter-sniper team. I will not be 100% certain of this until further investigation.

Where’s any info about whether Crooks was on meds? We know the lead agent was female, one deemed incompetent from past experiences with her, but was it the short, stocky one who couldn’t holster her weapon as shown in videos as claimed in other forums?

No. That’s a gross overstatement and very unhelpful. True, what we have had since the Obama years has been an intensive rise in lawlessness, which he signaled, for those that were watching closely, by putting a tax cheat in to head Treasury and calling the Cambridge police stupid. Since then, maybe since 9/11 there has been a weaponization of government agencies and increasing corruption and compromise of a number of legislators and other government officials. In actuality, though, this process goes back a century or more and is baked into the cake of human nature. Granted, the communist infection has poured fuel on that smoldering fire since the middle of last century.
On the other hand, the rule of law has been preserved in important places and situations, notably by SCOTUS anti-administrative state findings last month and the failure of anti-Trump lawfare schemes. Powerful, pro-law forces are now obviously competing with the schemes and structures built over a period of decades by the commies and their useful idiots. That’s why Tucker was able to interview Putin and Musk was able to flip the bird to the EU several days ago. The MAGA movement and Tea-party before it has, thus far, been totally lawful, (much to the dismay of the lawless ones that have repeatedly tried to provoke and excuse for a truly repressive, totalitarian state), and we have reason to hope that the corrupt systems are being broken up at long last and that there will be lawful efforts, like Youngkin’s in VA, that have the potential to derail the current plan to install another figurehead administration by fraud. Even if that effort fails, the fight will continue.

Exactly! The term “lawless” is not an overstatement because of the differing tiers of justice (justice for thee but not for me). If laws are enforced differently depending upon who the defendant is and what their political views are, then we might as well have no laws at all. In other words….lawless.

A few weeks ago a Biden-appointed lesbian judge in federal court in Colorado ruled for Shawn Smith, Ashe Epp, and Holly Kasun that their canvassing in 2021 was not racist. The judge scolded the prosecution for having a pathetic case, and in the end no evidence at all. (Their only witness was from a different county than the canvassing, and admitted the prosecution had told her what to say.)
This week a jury ruled Tina Peters guilty of 7 of 10 counts which had nothing to do with elections, and none of which should have been ruled guilty anyway. The judge allowed many days for prosecutorial witnesses, but upheld objections against defense witnesses so most of them did not even get to testify and most of those who did were able to get out only a few sentences on side topics. Very little of the case information was presented before the jury.
The judge said any evidence as to why Peters did what she did, or what she found, was irrelevant, including the Sheriff Dar Leaf collection of Dominion emails showing that Dominion’s Serbian employees in Serbia were able to remotely record votes in Colorado.
Even this judge said that Peters committed no crime in making an image of the election machine, but now the media is now trying to portray the verdict as a judgement that there is no such thing as election fraud.
There is still rule of law in some places, and I do have hope that it is increasing. But when it really matters to the narrative, the courts are still bringing out their double standard.

This was clear when first photos showed “SS” personnel who shot Crooks had POLICE on their shirt backs.

and two – the disclosure the other day about the SS agent who brought her children to the latest rally and without telling anyone else in her detail decided to sneak off to breast feed her child is a mind-game meant to manipulate President Trump into not trusting any of his SS details, whether those details are there to protect him or his family.
Am guessing the purpose to get President Trump to not trust his assigned SS detail is so that when they do give him an instruction to actually protect him he will second-guess them so the real threat can have an open field and should that real threat succeed then the federal agencies can say “see, our SS is just fine, it was him (PDJT) that refused to follow orders” and then wipe their hands clean.

This report by Higgins contradicts what President Trump said in his interview with Musk. PDJT said the shot that killed ‘shooter’ was approx 400 yd single bullet shot by CS.
He also said (same interview) that same CS “had been with (PDJT) for 23 years. Did anyone else hear this?

What method was used to identify Crooks? Anybody get the DNA before cremation or was that the point. I believe I saw a photo of Crooks with a leg bullet hole, perhaps he got off three measured shots and with the leg wound fired 5 wildly before being killed.
Higgins does not contradict President Trump. He clearly states that the kill shot was from that USSS sniper team. THe closer team didn’t have a clear line of sight due to trees.

Now reading elsewhere, that they cleaned up all the biological evidence at the scene/on roof that day, which is apparently unheard of.
Crooks must have had some extensive training to get his brass to nicely stick down and stay in place on that sloped roof.
If they were dummy rounds the only ones on the roof would be those he ejected trying to make his rifle work.
And yes, they would have stayed close by, they wouldn’t have been flung off the roof to be lost or found by a non-Derp.

What group was first on the roof after (SS? ESU? Who) Crooks was shot and why was there a delay in videoing when they first came on the roof? Would that be enough time to dump 8 shells there, as ‘evidence’?
We have been told (and heard on video??) that there were only 9 shot…8 from Crooks and the sniper shot. Now we have 10.

Higgins seems to insist that all 8 shots came from Crooks. (We have had a similar scenario with Oswald where it was ‘confirmed’ that all shots came from his rifle, when, of course, none did).
Crooks was distracted by the officer who initially climbed up to the roof, but was able to immediately turn afterward and shoot accurately without a sight??
Video shows a number of people on the top row, ducking or reacting to a bullet that eventually hit the railing. Why?

Page 5 of report – States water tower was cleared by drone surveillance morning of rally. Weren’t we told ‘there was no drone surveillance on J13 provided by local ESU or USSS’ – although ‘drones offered by local team but rejected by USSS?’
I still find Brett Weinstein’s interview with John Cullen (although painfully long) compelling.
A few notes on the preliminary report and then some additional thoughts and observations.
Notes:
1. J13 was the first time a USSS counter-sniper team has EVER been assigned to a former POTUS.
2. The local 911 radio traffic is always recorded, but the USSS did not retrieve their local radios, so no USSS call recordings.
3. The FBI released all first responders that night, cleaned up all biological evidence, released the whole area within 3 days, and then secretly released the “shooter’s” body for cremation within 10 days.
4. The water tower was cleared by drone by local law enforcement the morning of J13.
5. Report: “I’m not stating conclusively that there was no other shooter somewhere or that no other conspirators were involved in J13”
Observations:
1. Mr. Higgins got to Butler 3 weeks after the attempted assassination. At least the buildings were still standing. By that time the audio and video recordings of the event were the only remaining evidence, but his report contains no time-coordinated analysis of those audio and video recordings. Some analyses appear to show suppressed rounds being fired that were recorded but no one noticed (pt pt pt pt pt). These were apparently fired at the north counter-sniper team.
2. Mr. Higgins does not mention if he spent any time examining the trees near the water tower where the north counter-sniper team repositioned and aimed at after apparently taking suppressed fire from there.
3. The team guarding the water tower DID leave their post for an hour.
4. Mr. Higgins did not go to the top of the water tower to examine it himself.
5. No 4D modeling of the shots, what they hit, who they hit, their apparent trajectories adjusted for cross-wind, and where they would have eventually ended up (probably a half mile away).
6. Why were two USSS counter-sniper teams deployed on on J13, the first time EVER for a former POTUS? Who made that decision and WHY? Was PDJT aware of that decision?
7. Who did the advance work and decided on this location in the first place?
8. Most disturbing is the FBI’s complete scrubbing of the entire crime scene, including the body of the person we are supposed to believe is the lone gunman. That alone betrays the cover-up.
Regarding the cleanup of the biological evidence and destruction of the body…
Do we see a pattern here?

Why is there still no mention of Beaver County officials/ESU in Higgins report? Beaver County ESU had vital but ignored role J13 …yet, not mentioned in this investigation. No comments or interviews from Crooks’ parents? No mention of Crooks’ since days after the attempt? This incident involved a homicide which is a PA state crime. Corey Comperatore was murdered. Federal government employees tampered with evidence at the scene. They could be charged with PA felonies for that interference. The feds wanted to eliminate ALL evidence quickly. That is not the way you investigate a homicide.
A while back Senator Grassley released a picture of a USSS counter sniper officer who was pictured inside the AGR building after the shooting. When I saw that picture he looked very familiar to me and then I recalled a video I saw of men being taken off of a “Hippies for Trump” school bus the day before J6!

The man is dressed in para-military gear and even has a radio. His long-haired accomplice would be seen the next day – J6 – tearing down barricades and inciting the protesters.

To me, they look like the same person. Same lips, same chin, same facial hair pattern and color, same nose. Does anyone agree?
It should be easy for investigators to conclude one way or another if this is the same person. The USSS knows the identity of their counter sniper in Butler. The Capitol police not only checked the ID of the persons taken off of the “Hippies for Trump” bus they took their DNA!
I have sent this information to over a dozen Congressmen, Senators, and many media people (e.g. Dan Bongino) and I have yet to receive any reply!

Someone has to confirm if indeed this is the same person positively. If this is the same person the implications are enormous. It would raise the question of what was a USSS officer doing in Washington on J6 disguised as a “Hippies for Trump” protester. Conversely, what was a sketchy J6 “protester” doing in Butler charged with the job of protecting the President?
As a final note before Senator Grassley released the picture of the USSS counter sniper, he released the video of a dead Crooks on the roof of the AGR building. An off-screen officer can be heard talking and when I heard his voice I thought that he sounded like the guy who was taken off that school bus in Washington the day before J6. I would be surprised if this is not the same person.
Different people. Nose is different. Guy on left has a rounder bridge of the nose where the guy on the right has a pretty sharp featured bridge.
I’m not seeing that. The bridge of the guy on the left is shadowed and at a different angle to the camera. Also, I would note the supratip of the nose looks identical to me. Also, look at the cheek structure. Identical.
Eyebrows are too – and the angled image with the lighting on the right makes the nose appear sharper. Can’t fix the angle, but some adjust of lighting helps…
this could be important. Get it to Bongino or somebody.
I tried multiple times to get it to Bongino but have not gotten any replies to my emails or X posts. I hope that Sundance will make a separate blog post with a picture of this guy. I know Bongino reads CTH and I suspect gets some of his material from here. Just a simple blog post with the headline “Is this the same person” would be enough to get the ball rolling I believe.

Why refuse tactical radios? This is one of those actions that is a bright red flag that something was off that day. It is hard to keep the minimum charge at ‘Gross Incompetence’. It is more like ‘Deliberate Malfeasance’ at a minimum.

I’m sure you’ve seen the rumors online alleging a cell phone moved repeatedly between Washington DC “near the FBI Headquarters” and Crooks‘s home. I haven’t seen any confirmation of that, but that would certainly be the last piece of the puzzle.

The inference is someone from DC, possibly an agent of the federal government, was in contact with Crooks in the time leading up to the assassination.
