The vice I am talking of is Pride or Self-Conceit: and the virtue opposite to it, in Christian morals, is called Humility. You may remember, when I was talking about sexual morality, I warned you that the centre of Christian morals did not lie there. Well, now, we have come to the centre. According to Christian teachers, the essential vice, the utmost evil, is Pride. Unchastity, anger, greed, drunkenness, and all that, are mere flea bites in comparison: it was through Pride that the devil became the devil: Pride leads to every other vice: it is the complete anti-God state of mind.
Does this seem to you exaggerated? If so, think it over. I pointed out a moment ago that the more pride one had, the more one disliked pride in others. In fact, if you want to find out how proud you are the easiest way is to ask yourself, “How much do I dislike it when other people snub me, or refuse to take any notice of me, or shove their oar in, or patronise me, or show off?” The point is that each person’s pride is in competition with every one else’s pride. It is because I wanted to be the big noise at the party that I am so annoyed at someone else being the big noise. Two of a trade never agree. Now what you want to get clear is that Pride is essentially competitive—is competitive by its very nature—while the other vices are competitive only, so to speak, by accident Pride gets no pleasure out of having something, only out of having more of it than the next man. We say that people are proud of being rich, or clever, or good-looking, but they are not; they are proud of being richer, or cleverer, or better-looking than others. If every one else became equally rich, or clever, or good-looking there would be nothing to be proud about. It is the comparison that makes you proud: the pleasure of being above the rest. Once the element of competition has gone, pride has gone. That is why I say that Pride is essentially competitive in a way the other vices are not. The sexual impulse may drive two men into competition if they both want the same girl But that is only by accident; they might just as likely have wanted two different girls. But a proud man will take your girl from you, not because he wants her, but just to prove to himself that he is a better man than you. Greed may drive men into competition if there is not enough to go round; but the proud man, even when he has got more than he can possibly want, will try to get still more just to assert his power. Nearly all those evils in the world which people put down to greed or selfishness are really far more the result of Pride.
Take it with money. Greed will certainly make a man want money, for the sake of a better house, better holidays, better things to eat and drink. But only up to a point What is it dial makes a man with £10,000 a year anxious to get £20,000 a year? It is not the greed for more pleasure. £10,000 will give all the luxuries that any man can really enjoy. It is Pride—the wish to be richer than some other rich man, and (still more) the wish for power. For, of course, power is what Pride really enjoys: there is nothing makes a man feel so superior to others as being able to move them about like toy soldiers. What makes a pretty girl spread misery wherever she goes by collecting admirers? Certainly not her sexual instinct: that kind of girl is quite often sexually frigid. It is Pride. What is it that makes a political leader or a whole nation go on and on, demanding more and more? Pride again. Pride is competitive by its very nature: that is why it goes on and on. If I am a proud man, then, as long as there is one man in the whole world more powerful, or richer, or cleverer than I, he is my rival and my enemy.
The Christians are right: it is Pride which has been the chief cause of misery in every nation and every family since the world began. Other vices may sometimes bring people together: you may find good fellowship and jokes and friendliness among drunken people or unchaste people. But Pride always means enmity—it is enmity. And not only enmity between man and man, but enmity to God.
In God you come up against something which is in every respect immeasurably superior to yourself. Unless you know God as that—and, therefore, know yourself as nothing in comparison— you do not know God at all. As long as you are proud you cannot know God. A proud man is always looking down on things and people: and, of course, as long as you are looking down, you cannot see something that is above you.
That raises a terrible question. How is it that people who are quite obviously eaten up with Pride can say they believe in God and appear to themselves very religious? I am afraid it means they are worshipping an imaginary God. They theoretically admit themselves to be nothing in the presence of this phantom God, but are really all the time imagining how He approves of them and thinks them far better than ordinary people: that is, they pay a pennyworth of imaginary humility to Him and get out of it a pound’s worth of Pride towards their fellow-men. I suppose it was of those people Christ was thinking when He said that some would preach about Him and cast out devils in His name, only to be told at the end of the world that He had never known them. And any of us may at any moment be in this death-trap. Luckily, we have a test Whenever we find that our religious life is making us feel that we are good—above all, that we are better than someone else—I think we may be sure that we are being acted on, not by God, but by the devil The real test of being in the presence of God is that you either forget about yourself altogether or see yourself as a small, dirty object. It is better to forget about yourself altogether.
It is a terrible thing that the worst of all the vices can smuggle itself into the very centre of our religious life. But you can see why. The other, and less bad, vices come from the devil working on us through our animal nature. But this does not come through our animal nature at all It comes direct from Hell. It is purely spiritual: consequently it is far more subtle and deadly. For the same reason, Pride can often be used to beat down the simpler vices. Teachers, in fact, often appeal to a boy’s Pride, or, as they call it, his self-respect, to make him behave decently: many a man has overcome cowardice, or lust, or ill-temper by learning to think that they are beneath his dignity—that is, by Pride. The devil laughs. He is perfectly content to see you becoming chaste and brave and self-con trolled provided, all the time, he is setting up in you the Dictatorship of Pride—just as he would be quite content to see your chilblains cured if he was allowed, in return, to give you cancer. For Pride is spiritual cancer: it eats up the very possibility of love, or contentment, or even common sense.

Agree and disagree. On one level everything the author has written is true as it applies to that “devilish” weakness when our “pride” fools us into thinking we are better than another – which in essence is just an admittance that we ourselves LACK self assurance, thus seeking to dominate or stand out. There is a Kabalalistic concept that goes like this – in the beginning the light of the moon and the light of the sun shone in equal measure in the sky. Now the moon “complained” to the Creator that it could not be right that 2 could be equal – one would have to be declared “higher”. So God, now annoyed, said to the moon OK, as you desire minimize yourself. (The moon of course was hoping otherwise). From henceforth then the moon (still in all its glory) would know and understand that was and will forever be, merely a REFLECTOR of light from a much, much, much greater source (the sun). So in a sense we are all “moons”, merely reflectors of Godly light that emanates from the Greatest source of all – God. Now as to the issue of pride. If one believes and calls themselves by the name of God, is trying his/her level best to understand and come closer to the Creator, understands that whatever “insights” they receive are solely by the merit of the Creator and not from the receiver themselves. However, a person should always believe and understand that as a child of God, they are precious, loved and are worthy enough that God says I (just imagine the magnitude of that “I”) am with you. He lives within us, why then would a child of God not be proud of who they are, proud of what “they” together have accomplished. Like God said to Job – Gird up your lions like a man………your own right arm will bring you victory. We are that arm, that long arm of God, to bring and show Godliness in the world. Be proud, but never forget from where your light and strength originates.

Outstanding interview. I remember this and he gives very detailed information. He said Nixon didn’t know even at his death what had happened. Excellent analysis of Liddy and especially of the weasel John Dean.
Nixon was the most popular president in American history and won election by the largest margin ever.
President Reagan and shortly, President Trump.
Nixon was a damn good President. Perhaps the original “outsider”, who didn’t come from the traditional elite channels to reach Washington. I remember how much the heartland and average people loved him.
’72 was an amazing blow-out, and things generally, and the Nation’s mood, were so much improved from ’68 by then.
And many came from his administration’s orbit. Pat Buchanan, Roger Ailes, Roger Stone, to name but a few.
He wasn’t perfect. He was well aware of what he called “The Bay of Pigs” (Dallas). He addressed a legitimate pollution problem by creating the EPA, which has since mutated into something destructive. And he listened to Kissinger too much. But with a Soviet leadership that had not yet become senile, he was starting a positive process to wind down the cold war, starting with Vietnam and nuclear arms control.
And the MIC/CIA just couldn’t have that. They had already killed one President to have their wars.
So they forced him (and us) off the gold standard, threw the 73 oil shutdown at him, and then Watergate, replaced his VP with a deep state lackey, and finally drove him out via the television. It ran night after night on every channel. It was as much a media coup as it was a deep state one. The organized media were total malevolent scum even then.
He got a bad deal, and so did we.
I liked Nixon a lot back in the day. But looking back, he gave us many of the bureaucracies like the EPA and OSHA and Kissinger and started the China juggernaut of exporting our jobs. So many good intentions that turned out bad.
He opened the door to Red China, as part of Kissinger’s three player ‘pivot’ strategy, to get the Soviets to the negotiating table. It worked.
The door was indeed open, but the economic threshold remained uncrossed under Nixon. And for the most part, under Ford, Carter and Reagan, too. Japan was a much bigger economic worry then.
But snakes like Poppy Bush and other Wall Street ‘Republican’ free traders (aka globalists) saw the opening, for accelerating the off-shoring of industry to cheaper labor markets, and rammed NAFTA down the Nation’s throat, right after Reagan left.
I blame Truman for losing China, and Bush and his Wall Street globalist pals for greasing the skids to slide our heavy industry over there. Traitors.
Richard Nixon… Son of Orange County. Born and raised in a very modest home in Yorba Linda as a quaker. His popularity covered lots of individuals, He ended the Vietnam war, he was an environmentalist, (he opened the beaches of camp Pendelton which allowed surfers access to world class waves) he ate at local Mexican restaurants, was a family man, worked at Casa Pacifica (western white house) away from DC.
Like Eisenhower, Regan and now President Trump he was not a politician. His interests were with the good of the US citizens

Twenty-Eighth Amendment
Section 1
Presidential elections shall occur quadrennially in years evenly divisible by 4, on the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November; that day shall be a National Holiday.
Section 2
All votes for candidates in primary or general elections for State wide or Federal offices shall be by a hand marked paper ballot cast by a verified citizen of the United States of America within an authorized polling location. No other ballots shall be accepted other than from qualified overseas citizens.
Section 3
All ballots cast for State wide or Federal offices shall be counted in the polling location in which they were cast, on the day they were cast, by teams comprised of at least one Election Judge and a representative of each party that was on the ballot. Teams shall be provided as needed to complete counting by 12 midnight. Counting operations shall be recorded by digital video; a digital image of each ballot shall be taken.
Section 4
After counting, all ballots for State wide or Federal offices shall be sealed at the polling location in which they were cast and transported, along with the digital files, to a secure location of the state Board of Elections where they shall be stored without any further processing for a minimum period of two (2) years. During this period the public shall have the unencumbered right to inspect these materials, at their reasonable expense, at the secure storage location and under the oversight of the state Board of Elections.
Section 5
Casting an illegal ballot or tampering with ballots at any time before, during or after voting to misrepresent true results or otherwise interfere with the electoral process shall be prosecuted under sedition laws, without exception.
Section 6
Qualified overseas military and federal government employees may cast votes by returning previously requested ballots to the Board of Elections of the state in which they are registered to vote. Such ballots must be in the hands of the state Board of Elections ten calendar days before election day, who shall forward them to the appropriate polling locations based on the address at which they are registered to vote, in order to be counted on election day.
Section 7
This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission. If this article is ratified as an amendment to the Constitution it shall go into effect beginning with the second Congress after ratification.

If you accept the premise that the communists, who have subverted every institution, only refuse to be called communists by name and prefer pseudonyms like: “progressives” or “Democrats” or even to some degree “socialists” then, the most important work of disseminating information is to force them to accept the label. Whether that is a strictly accurate label is less important than the actions they have taken to silence, imprison, and in Trump’s case, even murder, their opposition. Communism is a philosophy of conquest and why they align themselves with the Muslims so easily. The Palestinian uprisings across the globe and the little or no consequences suffered for them can attest to this alliance. The question is not are they, or are they not communists, but rather a recognition of the tactics they’ve used.
Venezuela is a rehearsal, we see now that the communists, like Kamala Harris, revel in their ill-gotten positions. To them it’s so much more satisfying to rule over those who hate them, because it leaves brutality as a political option. They love the beatdown, the force; it gives them breath. To know this is to realize that one must become inoculated to their pain, deaf to their pleas. There is not even the slightest amount of mercy that can be extended, they will take that mercy as a sign of weakness and attack.
The world is aflame, because they set it ablaze with their demands, their obviously destructive policies designed to punish, starve and isolate, their alliances with the criminals of all races and origins against their own people. No, we are not the villains, because we seek to put out the flames.

I mean, it’s not as if you all didn’t know that Biden will step down and Kamala will take over. Or the fact that the media will cover for her and project polls where she’s winning. You know this.
She was highly unpopular and that’s why she had zero media visibility even when Biden was clearly not all there. They were willing to lie through their teeth for Biden rather than project her as being anything useful at all.
Nobody’s buying it, trust me. Lying media lies, and most regular people know this.
There is no way a cackling, nonsensical Kamala or even a Megan thee stallion twerk would inspire people to vote.
You know what would? A man who got shot and who had the courage to get up and say “Fight”, bleeding. That’s the image that would stick with people. So what if it’s not in the news cycle anymore. That is not going anywhere. The man who is humiliated, prosecuted and thwarted at every turn but still shows up? That man is for whom people will vote.
People care about their future and their children’s future. They may not actually speak out politics loudly, but they will vote to save their future. No amount of lying would change that.
I think, you should worry about the cheating. And work towards thwarting it. But don’t give in despair. God has always done the right thing by His people whether we deserved it or not. Whether we see it or not.

I say, “Let the Left think we are weak. Let them think we are unwilling to rise and destroy them.” It is always best to have the enemy underestimate your strength and resolve. When needed, patriots will rise like an unexpected hurricane and leave not a stick of their evil empire standing.

All the excitement for “Kamel and A-Walz” is artificial. It’s whipped up and fake. It’s not organic. The people showing up at their events are paid to show up. They are bussed in. Allow the excitement to rise quickly and fall even quicker.
Just smile and wave as that excitement rises and falls. It’s just like a sports event when one team is crushing the other team. When the losing team finally puts some points on the board, their fans scream loudest. Meanwhile the winning team’s fans just smile knowing the losing team won’t be cheering for long. There is only one type of “Hail Mary” that can save the losing team. They may be saved but they will never win.
We have President Trump and the MAGA Warriors. He’s our G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time).

Former President Donald Trump leads Vice President Kamala Harris 49-44% nationally in the 2024 presidential race, according to a new Rasmussen poll released Thursday.
Other candidates drew 4% and 3% said they were undecided.
The survey of 1,794 likely voters was conducted on Aug. 1 and 4-7. It has a margin of error of +/- 2 percentage points.
The poll comes two days after Harris tapped Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate to take on Trump and his No. 2, Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance.

If you want any semblance of the life you now live, however humble it might be, you’re going to have to fight for it. You are going to have to question everything and everyone and become, as John McClane in Die Hard put it, you’re going to have to be “the fly in the ointment, the monkey in the wrench.” You may never live the comfortable life you do now, but fighting back is the only alternative to being used, abused and discarded after they’ve mined your body for reusable parts.

There is no Commander in Chief, there just isn’t, unless a president can grow six inches overnight or change the shape of his face and ears, the color of his eyes, from what historical evidence exists. It’s not all that important, when it comes down to it, because the lesson learned is that the whole of congress, Democrats and Republicans, the whole Executive branch is willing to go along with the ruse, because they have no respect or sense of duty to the people. Where that is true, there is no limit to the degradation and defilement they are willing to heap on the masses. We mean less to them than a group of ants on the periphery of one’s lawn, but should that group of ants begin to invade the picnic, there’s no hesitation to dump a load of gasoline on the anthill and incinerate them all.

A respected think tank study has underscored America’s massive demographic shift since the start of the pandemic, with millions more Spanish-speaking residents as the white population tumbled.
The Hispanic population grew by 3.2 million from April 2020 to July 2023, as the number of white people fell by 2.1 million — the result of immigration and birth and death rates, says a Brookings Institution study.

Things are not going swimmingly for the communist democrat’s latest coup d’état.
