After two years of pre-trial litigation, and a year of trial in front of U.S. District Judge Amit Mehtata, the court has determined that Google is factually a monopoly operation in the business of online search engine use and advertising. Google is violating section 2 of the Sherman Antitrust Act by running a monopoly business model.
The court highlighted the results of Judge Mehtata review in a 286-page opinion – SEE HERE. A key excerpt is provided below:
COURT RULING pdf – […] “Google has not achieved market dominance by happenstance. It has hired thousands of highly skilled engineers, innovated consistently, and made shrewd business decisions. The result is the industry’s highest quality search engine, which has earned Google the trust of hundreds of millions of daily users.
But Google also has a major, largely unseen advantage over its rivals: default distribution. Most users access a general search engine through a browser (like Apple’s Safari) or a search widget that comes preloaded on a mobile device. Those search access points are preset with a “default” search engine. The default is extremely valuable real estate.
Because many users simply stick to searching with the default, Google receives billions of queries every day through those access points. Google derives extraordinary volumes of user data from such searches. It then uses that information to improve search quality. Google so values such data that, absent a user-initiated change, it stores 18 months-worth of a user’s search history and activity.
The distribution agreements benefit Google in another important way. More users mean more advertisers, and more advertisers mean more revenues. As queries on Google have grown, so too has the amount it earns in advertising dollars. In 2014, Google booked nearly $47 billion in advertising revenue. By 2021, that number had increased more than three-fold to over $146 billion. Bing, by comparison, generated only a fraction of that amount—less than $12 billion in 2022.
For years, Google has secured default placements through distribution contracts. It has entered into such agreements with browser developers, mobile device manufacturers, and wireless carriers. These partners agree to install Google as the search engine that is delivered to the user right out of the box at key search access points.
Google pays huge sums to secure these preloaded defaults. Usually, the amount is calculated as a percentage of the advertising revenue that Google generates from queries run through the default search access points. This is known as “revenue share.” In 2021, those payments totaled more than $26 billion. That is nearly four times more than all of Google’s other search-specific costs combined.
In exchange for revenue share, Google not only receives default placement at the key search access points, but its partners also agree not to preload any other general search engine on the device. Thus, most devices in the United States come preloaded exclusively with Google. These distribution deals have forced Google’s rivals to find other ways to reach users.
Google’s dominance eventually attracted the attention of antitrust enforcers—the U.S. Department of Justice and nearly every state’s Attorney General. They homed in on Google’s distribution agreements and in late 2020 filed two separate lawsuits alleging that the agreements and certain other conduct violate Section 2 of the Sherman Act. According to their complaints, Google has unlawfully used the distribution agreements to thwart competition and maintain its monopoly in the market for general search services and in various online advertising markets.
The proceedings that followed have been remarkable. Discovery began in December 2020 and concluded in March 2023.
[…] After having carefully considered and weighed the witness testimony and evidence, the court reaches the following conclusion: Google is a monopolist, and it has acted as one to maintain its monopoly. It has violated Section 2 of the Sherman Act.
Specifically, the court holds that (1) there are relevant product markets for general search services and general search text ads; (2) Google has monopoly power in those markets; (3) Google’s distribution agreements are exclusive and have anticompetitive effects; and (4) Google has not offered valid procompetitive justifications for those agreements. Importantly, the court also finds that Google has exercised its monopoly power by charging supracompetitive prices for general search text ads. That conduct has allowed Google to earn monopoly profits.” (read more)
This is only one facet to the Google monopoly enterprise. There are other lawsuits challenging the Advertising rules and regulations enforced by Google that block funds from online content providers. Google is a leftist control operation, with comprehensive totalitarian alignment.
Don’t think that our U.S. Government is against this monopoly just because they were forced to respond to it with a lawsuit. DHS and the IC love having a single control point they can exploit and compromise. Monopolies are useful for the interests of the government who corrupts and utilizes them.
Within the Public/Private Technocracy system that Barack Obama helped to build between Big Tech and Government, they both collaborate on the benefits of singular power structures. A pox on all of them!
MSM – Kent Walker, Google’s president of global affairs, said the company intends to appeal Mehta’s findings.
“This decision recognizes that Google offers the best search engine, but concludes that we shouldn’t be allowed to make it easily available,” Walker said.
For now, the decision vindicates antitrust regulators at the Justice Department, which filed its lawsuit nearly four years ago while Donald Trump was still president, and has been escalating it efforts to rein in Big Tech’s power during President Joe Biden’s administration.
“This victory against Google is an historic win for the American people,” said Attorney General Merrick Garland. “No company — no matter how large or influential — is above the law. The Justice Department will continue to vigorously enforce our antitrust laws.”
The case depicted Google as a technological bully that methodically has thwarted competition to protect a search engine that has become the centerpiece of a digital advertising machine that generated nearly $240 billion in revenue last year. Justice Department lawyers argued that Google’s monopoly enabled it to charge advertisers artificially high prices while also enjoying the luxury of not having to invest more time and money into improving the quality of its search engine — a lax approach that hurt consumers. Yes. We have to ask ourselves why a far left group like Google would fund a supposedly “far right” Heritage Foundation and its Project 2025? For the exact reason of having every single news outlet report that Project 2025 is extreme radical MAGA and blessed by President Trump, which he knows nothing about.
Trump didn’t bless anything, from CNN, direct quote :
1 week ago – Paul Dans has stepped down as director of Project 2025, the conservative playbook for a potential second Donald Trump term, amid intense criticism including from the former president
T Turtle said, “…every single news outlet report that Project 2025 is extreme radical MAGA and blessed by President Trump…”
That is what Fake News is saying not what T Turtle is saying.
There’s adverts in Spanish along the highway where I live saying Trump is heading Project 2025. Of course no one cares to correct that.
Driving North thru Connecticut a few days ago – giant billboard saying Trump wants to abolish reproductive rights and Democrats will save them. More like non reproductive rights . Hogwash
Idiots on MSDNC were screeching “if Trump didn’t know about Project 2025, how does he have the power to fire the president of Project 2025!!!”
These are evil, evil monsters we are dealing with!
Google spends money for Control. Because Control is profitable. Ask Eric why he gets so excited about control.
Yes, this antitrust lawsuit, which specifically addresses monopolies, is the first step. The public-private partnerships, however, are where things get REALLY dicey.
Front door or back door, it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL for the US gubmint to CENSOR a free press and free speech. The US government has done exactly that, through public/private partnerships with mainstream media and social media companies.
Our internet is censored. Our internet searches are censored.
Because of a U.S. gubmint gone rogue through back door access to private corporations, we cannot have a free discourse about important matters, like plandemics and “poison death shots.” And yes, like the peaceful transition of power via free and fair elections.
Propaganda and corruption have skewed almost all the news that American citizens are permitted to see. This breach of our national security affects everything from elections to public policy divorced from Constitutional law.
This breach of the public trust is the reason why half this country doesn’t know it’s a$$ from its elbow. The monopolized, mainstream media, following illegitimate gubmint diktats disguised as “national security” measures, does *not* report the truth.
This breach of Constitutional law via public/private partnerships *must* be addressed if we are to save our Constitutional Republic.
I am with Mickey as well, but sometimes it appears we are Wiley Coyote chasing the Roadrunner. Beep! Beep!
PDJT is the RoadRunner.
He even dodged a Wile E. Coyote-style bullet.
Excellent! Couldn’t happen to a better “don’t be evil /sarc” company. One question: “Don’t think that our U.S. Government is against this monopoly just because they were forced to respond to it with a lawsuit.” – So, what is an accurate way to think about this?
Think about it like the uniparty being two wings of the same bird of prey. Google and Government, two wings same bird.
An accurate way to think about this –
Google pays a record setting fine to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
They in turn dole out $$ to their favorite NGOs.
Antifa receives more bricks.
Illegals receive more legal representation.
Ghost busses top off their tanks.
Liz Warren swoops in for the group hug.
Nothing changes for the better…
Laundering at its finest.

At least we can hope this google/U.S. Dist. Court ruckus gets out in front of the “I had no idea” group.
More of – the more you know – is good.
😁…
Are you noticing subtle movements, things happening like this surprising ruling, which are causing the solid ground under the tyrannical jackboots to crack?
I certainly am. Not just here but all over the world.
Almost as if some great Power has put His thumb on the scales…starting with what I am labeling the Great Uncovering of corruption and worse, which is allowing an unimpeded view of all that was heretofore hidden.
Cryptic, I know.
Agree…the more we know. Very good!
The winds of change are never static.
Just a gentle reminder…the pendulum is always swinging .
I sense it too! Seems like there is finally an awakening to the deceit and corruption. The satanism.
Coupled with a lot of “I’ve had enough!!”
It’s encouraging to witness this change, however small or large.
Makes me pray for more.
Shake-down by the Big-G.
It’s called Anger Management. They’ve managed to kick the can down the road for 4 yrs and now we enter the appeal stage. Status quo maintained.
Convictions of Sherman Act Section 2 violations are felonies. Google is now an adjudged felon enterprise. A little RICO prosecution for added measure wouldn’t be a bad thing.
Bust Google up. Fine the living daylights out of it. And send the CEO to prison.
Sounds like a start to me!
NONE of which will happen even after their long legal battles to fight that decision. And this is only from a District Judge.
Do you not read here about who is ACTUALLY in charge?
EVERYTHING is smoke and mirrors.
What makes you think the CEO is in charge? If we’ve learned anything, the IC operates by controlling heads of state and/or heads of business (as well as infiltrating the boards).
If the CEO goes to prison, who would want the job? Prison is a deterrent, a fine not so much.
LOTS of people if the payoff is good enough.
I can only hope YouTube is liberated.
There’s a thought.
Good things continue to happen. God is in control. Every day there are cracks in the deep state/globalist armor. I understand the doom and gloom, and I prepare for it as much as the next person, but if you choose to see it you can’t deny God is giving us win after win after win. We are the ones that have to capitalize on those wins. We can’t just sit around and wait for God to show up on a charriot of fire and fight our battles for us. But he sure is giving us a helping hand if you choose to see it!!!
Good things continue to happen. God is in control.
He’s more than a bit LATE. See below.
BTW, according to the Bible, to paraphrase, SATAN rules the world. Isn’t that obvious?
But God wins in the end. And those who believe win with Him. 😊
THE END isn’t the 2024 election.
Could be the start of it.
By whose standard is He late?
Like I said SEE BELOW:

From the evidence I’ve read about and seen personally, God is neither late nor early.
The Evil One is on a short leash, and madder than a hornet.
He is never late, Winston.
The hands on His timepiece move at different speeds than the ones we poor impatient, fallible, erring humans own…
All according to His purposes which remain to us a mystery.
Satan can only do what God allows him to do. You sound awfully suspicious of God…
Indeed “God is in control.”
But we don’t control God. He does what he chooses.
The Israelites played the game many times. They thought God was on their side. He is and he was. But sometimes, he had enough occasionally and used others to help the Israelites see the error of their ways.
We don’t control God (I am not suggesting that’s what you meant.)
In Old Testament times when the Israelites disrespected God’s design for them and His love (bigly [Baal worship et al]) God sent a more powerful and far more ruthless neighboring nation’s army to “correct” its straying ways.
It wasn’t pretty.
“In Old Testament times when the Israelites disrespected God’s design for them……”
Hmmm – 2 things – 1. There is no such thing as “old” Testament times. As if there was a time when the word of God only applied then, and by implication is no longer “in play” and relevant. A BIG BIG mistake and assertion. 2. Just who are the Israelites today? Not what most people assume them to be – the Jews – no the Jews are mainly descended from 1 of the 12 tribes, the sons of Jacob (Israel) – Judah – together with some who “joined” and remained together through the ages until today. 10 of the 12 are “lost”, or more accurately, have no idea of their heritage, but are scattered throughout the nations – waiting without knowing. There could be as many as a Billion people today who hold within them an “Israeli” soul, without understanding it – they/you/I could be from the tribe of Dan or Asher, or Gad, or Joseph, or….. echoed down in an eternal promise by the Maker. “Old” Isaiah, and relevant to our topic is verse 43 – together with all promises by God to His people – then, now and in the future. So if you consider yourself one of His people, a child of God, doing His will (the best you can) and better, then YOU are an Israeli (soul), and part of the eternal testament.
I understand what you meant. Thanks for stating though.
As usual nothing will happen for a long time, if ever, as a result of the ruling except some temporary bad press.
“a drawn-out appeals process will delay any immediate effects for both consumers and advertisers. The appeals process could take as long as five years, predicted George Hay, a law professor at Cornell University”
Break it up!
Hopefully it is just the Start to the Dismantling of our Oligarch System.

The Evil Empire just took a Liver Shot.
FILTHY LIBERALS
Include Obama and his gang.
It only lost when all the appeals are done. As far as I see it, it’s just beginning and it can take 10+ years to make its way through the rest of the courts. And, then, they’ll change the law and the suit has to restart or be modified. Games. All games.
Garland didn’t say it’s a “victory for all American people” because it is. Just “smoke and countermeasures” as SD would say.
Yep!
Conveniently FAR too late to prevent this in the final election prior to 100% control by their preferred ruling paradigm:
THIS IS WAR: YouTube is stealing the election in real time…

Google just declared war. YouTube have effectively banned us until Election 2024 for seven infractions of allegedly cyberbullying Kamala Harris & one instance of alleged hate speech, so we’re analyzing the newest tactics of our Big Tech overlords ahead of the most important election of our lives, we’re fact-checking the pathological liars who run the KamalaHQ account clarifying debate drama, crowd size discrepancies, what’s going on with in the markets as Warren Buffett sells $28.7B in stock, and so much more!

Google has Usurped Democracy
Across the globe, fair elections no longer exist.
Robert W Malone MD, MS

We hear a lot about “election integrity” or lack thereof, particularly around the issues of counting the vote and the ballot box. But the truth is that elections are more likely to be stolen via search engine manipulation effects (SEME).
What is SEME?
SEME is an abbreviation for the search engine manipulation effect. In a series of randomized controlled experiments, it has been shown that more than 20% of undecided voters can be manipulated into voting one way or the other, by simply manipulating the rankings of search engine results.
These studies were published in an article titled “The search engine manipulation effect (SEME) and its possible impact on the outcomes of elections”, which was published in the journal, PNAS in 2015.
The $3 million site tracking Google search manipulation in real time. Scroll down to “Elections Likely Flipped by Google – Some Recent Examples.” BTW, the scholar who studied this effect is a Democrat:

We think We are Gods boss we are his creation he could wipe us out in one word. And will wipe out a large part of the population all unbelievers will soon be under Gods wrath 3.5 years of stuff never seen. Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire and Jesus will rein for 1000 years repairing earth. Reversing the curse. Then it will all be burnt replaced with Eternity. If folks would Reveer God Fear him not the gubbermint we would be in much different place however the fact is we are wicked and will go thru the great tribulation. Stand strong he takes the church out of the world then Satan can do his thing.
Do people have to vote the way Google suggests? Isn’t there enough evidence out there for voters to make up their own mind? These “undecideds” must be really stupid if they think the democrats might be a good choice. No one should be undecided after the last four years.
In the last 2 weeks, I can’t view anything on YouTube without “signing in”. I do not have a YouTube account and refuse to sign up for one. In the past, I could view any YouTube video.
So, if Google wants to influence the election, this seems a strange way to do so – shutting out anyone without an account.
YouTube usually makes you sign in only for age-restricted videos. There should be a choice to “sign in as a guest” for most other content. Don’t watch much YT, so I’m not aware if they’ve changed that up. Google does whatever it wants with the feds blessing. Monopolies are like that; fascist govts are too!
I listen to a lot of music on YT. I never have to sign in.
They will get broken down into Google and it’s mini me’s g, o, o, g, l, & e.
Yall know how this works.
The Bell System breakup is a better example.
The baby bells reassembled into a distributed monopoly while AT&T morphed into running the internet infrastructure. The model for cellphones initially looked like free market competition but now has been consolidated behind the curtain. The IBM hardware anti-trust might be a better example but the IBM moved into software systems and infrastructure and is now integral to BigTech.
https://theintercept.com/2018/06/25/att-internet-nsa-spy-hubs/
Where are they now? Two in the East wound up becoming Verizon. Another remnant, BellSouth, eventually mutated through several phases, and reacquired the AT&T name.
But they hold nowhere near the market sway, individually, or combined, that the original Bell System once did in the US.
Break up Google, preferably into a thousand pieces. It is evil. Much worse than Bell ever was.
It was a joke to that and Microsoft.
And Ma Bell didn’t try to regulate speech on their devices.
I think it will be Geoglo… the same organization with a vowel movement.
Good!
A win !
Eye roll. We have known this for several years. I use google very seldom…but all media is skewed. On my priority scale this is just noise. Important, yes. Immediate attention needed, no.
We have allowed the country to be filled with trash as we played…pretended not to notice. It will be a long slow process to restore. It will be messy.
Thank you, Sundance.
On my priority scale this is just noise.
Correct, for the reason I describe next.
Important, yes. Immediate attention needed, no.
Immediate attention needed YEARS ago, not now which is FAR too late.
I am always amazed how somewhat corrective actions are always taken too late to have their best effect. Google is declared a monopoly, but NOT in time to have ANY effect whatsoever against their manipulation of the FINAL election which could put their preferred political paradigm 100% in control.
It’s almost like they time these things perfectly to throw it in our faces. “HA, HA! Too late suckers!”
Amazon is just as bad
yup. What Google is to information, Amazon is to retail goods and delivery. Amazon cloud services runs deepstate data centers, outsourcing what the government cannot do legally, and launders money for it.
https://www.datacenterdynamics.com/en/news/nsa-re-awards-10bn-wildandstormy-cloud-computing-contract-to-aws/
Worse. It treats its employees like crap. Read all those articles in the recent past about the warehouse employees.
and their drivers – under constant high-tech “AI” surveillance
“‘This decision recognizes that Google offers the best search engine, but concludes that we shouldn’t be allowed to make it easily available,’ Walker said.”
I despise these people, and hope someone goes after the App store requirements/email account requests in the future. It is disgusting that 99% of anything you try to sign up for requires GooglePlay/Apple, and/or defaults to asking you for a Gmail account. How is that not monopolistic behavior?
And I wonder about the connection between this major ruling against Google on Monday which was preceded by a major international market “correction” which began on Friday. But that has to be a coincidence, because acting on foreknowledge of a major blow to the online and phone advertising industry would be insider trading, and that is illegal and would imply the stock markets aren’t run on a level playing field.
And consider this – the key code within Google’s Chrome browser, Chromium, is now being used in many other browsers, so a defect/back door in Chromium can affect all of them.
Chromium is a good example of what needs to stripped of Google influence and moved to opensource with independent governance.
About 3 years ago, I started my own business. After awhile I started receiving non-stop calls from Google asking me to verify my business with Google. I ignored the calls. Finally, when I took one of the calls, I told the caller to remove me from their prospect list and that I have NO intention of listing my business and paying for any strings attached to be affiliated with the evil that is google.
I can get along just fine without them!
At this stage of my life…I don’t much care about search engines, but I do care about being swindled…
…but it is very annoying to do a search and get nothing close to what I am looking for, especially as related to politics. Next in line, looking for research papers that I had accessed via google and google scholar, 15 years ago…and have vanished.
What is infuriating is the obvious pro woke leftist lean to the results I do get in addition to being unrelated to what I am looking for.
That makes me so afraid and uncomfortable, to use leftist lingo…
Maybe a nice and huge class action law suit might bring them to heel. With every computer and cellphone user getting a couple of thousand dollars?
Break them up into ‘baby goo’s’…and sell them to smaller companies. At 2% of their alleged value…or better yet, gift them to those businesses who have suffered…because of their monopolistic empire?
Yay Mickey!
Google is far far more than search engine. It controls information flow at nearly all levels of the internet, runs and/or supplies the software systems for government surveillance centers like NSA, controls half of the cellphone OS/services/apps in the world, sees and stores nearly all email communications, has hooks into most browsers, maintains mirrors of internet content, is the infrastructure behind many alternative search engines – and that just scratches the surface.
It can demonetize/cancel pretty anyone with a presence on the internet. And- no light shines between it and the deepstate.
I kind of lulzed that it took Alphabet over four years to finally push a phone number update to my historical account after I left Verizon twisting in the wind after twenty years. Anyone, at least among we average citizens, who’s in the Android world is tethered to Alphabet one way or another, as you noted, even if only at the most basic levels.
Samsung apparently disallows phone software updates without wi-fi so my only registered phone, the one I want the Communists to see, never has received an official software update and is wiped of all software that aren’t essential to it functioning in its mission. I know because I deleted too much and had to factory reset it a number of times.
I view Google as a part of a normal operational cover, like the guy who helps a neighbor by taking out their garbage. I’ve actually been seen doing that by their doorbell camera. Someone is always watching. Use it. 👍
Try this: degoogled Android phone platform
https://e.foundation/
Do you use this personally? From the states? Servers in Finland.
At this stage of my life…I don’t much care about search engines
You should because the votes of 20% of undecided voters can be guided by them which makes all other forms of election cheating “look like chicken feed.”
HUGE!
Now, America must do far more than simply bust them up because they will just regroup..
Google must be forced to open source all the core components that fuel their monopoly including Gmail, Android phone platform, crawlers, Google Services, search. There are huge communities of brilliant software developers and open-standards that can turn the oppressive state-sponsored monopoly into an engine for freedom, innovation and growth. OASIS and Eclipse for starters.
TOO LATE for their manipulation of what could be the FINAL election that puts their pals 100% in control via manipulation of 20% of undecided voters that according to a controlled study and in the words of the DEMOCRAT scholar who just wants FAIR elections “makes all other forms of election cheating look like chicken feed.”
They can’t be FORCED to open source their proprietary software.
Finally, they’re too valuable of a tool for The Blob, Deep State, or Leviathan as I prefer to call it and Five Eyes, so I’m not optimistic at all about an adequate cleansing.
I believe Android platform is Microsoft.
Google. top to bottom. inside out. Including app control
No.
All of this was developed by DARPA, the American tax payer. When Al Gore said he invented the internet if he changed the pronoun to “we” would be more correct. Like Life Log into Facebook, 2/04,04 Life Log shut down and Facebook opened and the myth of the selected and installed Mark Zuckerberg was created.
Like most of government these Big Tech creeps were selected and installed all sucking off the government teat.
I totally agree with Mickey.
Typo: Judge is “Mehta”, not “Mehtata”.
I love the dog whine audible in this statement:
“This decision recognizes that Google offers the best search engine, but concludes that we shouldn’t be allowed to make it easily available,” Walker said.
Hopefully, this leads to the breakup and sell off of most of the company.
I truly hope the court decision goes far beyond the search engine. More needs to be done than breaking it up. It will reassemble itself. It’s core technologies need to be identified and open sourced. And interfaces for interoperability for open market competition need to be developed by open standards orgs.
Hard to believe it was Judge Amit Mehta ruling against Big Tech. He’s the guy gave Stewart Rhodes 18 years in Federal prison – for what.
While the wheels of justice grind away, the Communists are long on to their next mission.
Covid, anyone?
I use the Luxxle search engine often to reach suppressed content. You can set parameters, so you won’t get the first two pages filled with MSM propaganda.
I encourage everyone to do an experiment: Search President Donald Trump with Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, and Luxxle (with the lenses adjusted Lean Right). Then try it with the MSM and Wiki shut off on Luxxle.
Adjust the lenses in the upper right of the page:

Why would you use a search engine that determines whether information “leans left” or “leans right”?
Information is only that, information. You should be the one who determines where the source might be on the left/right spectrum.
You should be the one who determines where the source might be on the left/right spectrum.
LOL!
Yes, but try to find the information with government-controlled search engines. They classify information as acceptable (progressive and searchable) or unacceptable (MAGA and suppressed).
I use Luxxle see what the other search engines are suppressing!
Open your eyes and do the Luxxle test Bugs!
For now, the decision vindicates antitrust regulators at the Justice Department, which filed its lawsuit nearly four years ago while Donald Trump was still president, and has been escalating it efforts to rein in Big Tech’s power during President Joe Biden’s administration.
Only on my first cup of Covfefe I find this encouraging.
I want to believe joebama would shut this down if he could.
IF 45 becomes 47 he might be able to enact policies that will continue after his term.
Having worked on periphery of gvt I have seen policies once enacted take on a life of their own.
So lately I like to know a bit more about the people involved in these stories.
According to wiki Kent Walker served on the council on foreign Affairs in 2018.
And judge Mehta was born in India and
“Mehta has notably presided over cases related to the January 6, 2021 United States Capitol attack[1] and the Google antitrust case[2]. In 2022, he rejected efforts by Donald Trump to dismiss lawsuits accusing the former President of legal responsibility in the attacks.[3]
Just FYI.
This feels like a step to allow the DS / govt to claim they aren’t in bed with Google and vice versa. Both sides win in the “new” paradigm, but I don’t yet know what that will look like.
This is pretending.
The terms of the settlement will tell much
‘Google lost!’ — Sundance
And we won.
Note that this lawsuit began under the Trump administration, although the ‘Biden’ usurper regime is taking credit for it.
Maybe just maybe searches with a political bent to the right may actually result in the correct conservative candidates’ information and not default to a leftist candidate not even mentioned in the search query. Just maybe.
This left leaning search result is what infuriates me the most about Google. I did not see anything in Sundance’s post where the Judge addresses this issue. Duckduck Go is my default search engine.

“Justice Marshall has made his ruling, now let him enforce it.”
Jackson knew that stray rulings don’t matter much. It’s good to have, but we have decades of antitrust work in front of us, if we are to shed our slavemasters. But the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Agreed. The settlement is crucial. If the bust up covers all of Alaphbet land, and the court turns it over to a consortium of independent well-governed open-standards and open-source organizations this ruling could serve freedom and the free market very well.
Nothing’s ever independent though. The Uniparty is for sale, always. Pocahontas created an independent board for her nonsense, both unconstitutional and wrongheaded. Boards won’t free us, they just add more bondage.
You have to explode these trusts. Break them up into pieces. That is all.
Corporations are not people, contrary to Pierre Delecto Willard’s strange ideas. They exist only as we allow.
Try yandex.com sometime when you need a different set of search results. The difference is substantial.
Use Freespoke.com as your search engine. Give it a try. Unbiased. Not politically motivated like Google
Does anyone think they will cease using their monopoly power to influence election results and politics? After all, it’s not a big jump to recognizing “abuse of monopoly powers to violate federal election law.” They had better step lightly or not step at all.
What makes Goolag so powerful is its ability to monetize other people’s data. End that and you break them. Simply outlaw the use of other people’s data without permission and payment. You would need auxiliary laws prohibiting abusive ToS and barter deals like free email.
Now do Disney!
Great news 👏👏👏
My question is why are the leftists doing this to one of their own?
Because they fear wavering support from the tech community as the awful results of their policies becomes apparent, and they know they will be swept out of power without the FANG’s. It’s simple extortion.
Fang is Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, and Google. I shouldn’t have used that here in isolation.
Thank you for the clarification.
How is google paying for “default” search engine placement at Apple different than Coca-Cola paying for exclusive soda vendor rights at McDonald’s?
Ditto Mickey! But….I also give that Mickey to Disney…where Mickey comes from!
First Paragraph of the above-stated COURT RULING [pdf]: “Google has not achieved market dominance by happenstance. It has hired thousands of highly skilled engineers, innovated consistently, and made shrewd business decisions. The result is the industry’s highest quality search engine, which has earned Google the trust of hundreds of millions of daily users.
This paragraph OMITS COMPLETELY the MOST CRITICAL REASON why Guugles has been able to achieve such dominance over such a broad cultural and commercial spectrum: that is, our Fed Congress, you know, the self-serving JUDAS politicians that We The People put into office, have provided Guugles, and untold numbers of other multi-national BIG TECH concerns, and, many other entities, with what are essentially MONOPOLISTIC operating environments.
This is why in the end it is Congress picking winners and losers — such is textbook FASCISM — where they do so by selling down the river the unalienable rights of We The People; and such includes the rights of future generations. This is why so many in Congress, so quickly, become so wealthy. They are SELLING THEIR VOTES to the highest bidders … yet We The People continue to vote them into office.
Clearly, this selling of votes is unconstitutional — in actual fact, it is ANTI-American — in that it destroys free and fair competition, and, much worse, it enslaves — indoctrinates, brainwashes, confuses, etc — the minds of the Citizens. This is a primary reason why our Fed Tax Code — not to mention the mountains of rules and regs as mandated by so many Admin State bureaucracies — is so voluminous, complex, and, demoralizing; where, on top of this, our GOVT is creating these tyrannical MONOPOLIES.
I cannot predict with any high level of confidence what precisely POTUS Trump along with the MAGA movement will do about the such an anti-American Administrative State, but, I do believe that COMMIE_LA and whomever she will pick as VP candidate will take their marching orders from the globalist DNC … and they will do their best to further denigrate all facets of fundamental American culture.
MAGA NOW … more than ever!
TRUMP/VANCE/2024!
I will Yandex more on this matter to see if there will be further “rumbl”ings. /s
TO CONCLUDE as Dan Bongino has warned, DO NOT be AT ALL confident about Trump’s chances in the coming election.
THAT is why I always throw cold water on factually unjustified optimism.
Make sure you convince as many people as you can (Dan wants 10) to vote for him in order to hopefully overcome the combination of an easily propagandized political idiocracy combined with all of the MANY ways which the ruling oligarchy can cheat.
2026 – overturned on appeal.
Woo Hoo… bout time.. Too bad they can continue to drag it out another 10 years..
Robert G covered this yesterday.
Trump’s J6 Case is BACK; Secret Service COVER-UP; Google Busted BURYING J13

He also covered the USSS whistleblower coming out about the White House cocaine coverup which I predicted would happen after J13, and Chutkan’s race to incarcerate President Trump. Great show, as usual.
Google is not a search engine it is currenty a “user profiling” operation. Search is just a piece of your profile.
This ruling won’t mean much if the result is a financial slap on the hands. Like pay 30 billion dollars.
Heck of a lot of good will that do to the people whose privacy is invaded.
Couple of arbitrary ordered things that would accomplish more than a financial slap on the hand:
– Decentralize: Main theme has to be that smaller entities with one purpose is better than mega entities that does everything. Local businesses get stimulation and advantage over globalist players.
– Split off the DoubleClick acquisition from Google. Make their ad business separate. Put a poison pill on that DoubleClick business so a competitor doesn’t become the next Google.
– There are “cookie” bans (EU) that do absolutely *nothing* for privacy. Change the “cookie” ban into a sign-in widget ban/ You know those “Login with Google” links you see on each websites. Those call home and tell google exactly what link in the result you clicked even if you did not search through Google. Or split off the login / widget / identity in its own separate business.
– Legistlate against 3rd party data market that no search / financial / identity data can be sold, that is newer than 3 years.
– Then again all of the above won’t matter if you are reading this in your Chrome browser logged into your Google account. You should consider what you are doing then if you have privacy at heart 😉
– Don’t browse the Internet or search on your cell phone, as cell phones like Android and iPhone are a data privacy hell. E.g. you cannot turn off the inertia sensor even if you wanted to and apps can read it freely.
Google lost best search engine status many years ago. And ABC is even worse.
All I want is free telephone number look up like the old days. Even White Pages and Yellow pages cost. You know, basic info. Number, name, address connected to phone number. Miss the “411” days, too!
Google is the Poster Thug of Monopolies. Obtuse, ignorant, belligerent. Yet Monopoly/near Monopoly is what exists in the U.S.A. today.
Rather than multiple Search Engines, you effectively have one, and you have to go to Microsoft/Bing by lack of choices.
Every day, and for 30 years, the U.S. Federal Reserve, itself a Monopoly, has funded the grubby hands in Wall Street to fund “Mergers and Acquisitions” – the buying up of competitors so Monopoly Pricing becomes endemic.
And let’s face the Facts. Monopolies in Media, ostensibly independent corporations that sing from the same “weird” songsheet, parrot the same Monopoly/Control message, is a cancer that has very nearly consumed the foundation of the country.
I went through a breakup up of the Bell’s in the 1980s and the putting back together of the Baby Bell’s in the early 2000s, now AT&T, who currently provides the service underpinning the FirstNet systems for gubt first responders, a 25 year contract.
