You mentioned WP was unable to reach the site. I’m sorry if I’m restating the obvious if he has already tried this… but has he tried deleting his cookies and browser history? It can be a pain, because sometimes if you empty the cache.. it can cause you to lose saved passwords… but it might just do the trick to reset himself and bring him back to us.
I, too, am experiencing some random weirdness… through various web browsers, so will have to take my own advice a bit later today to try to restore some accessibility.
Different sites I access have compatibility issues depending upon the browser used: less and less is working with Brave, so the “powers that be” must be up to something to try to lock out Brave’s functionality. Sad state of affairs when my mind immediately goes to the “powers that be” are screwing with something…yet here we are.
There are alot of financial sites upgrading their platforms “for our protection”… which in always weary and suspect of anything that’s further locking down “to help us” anymore… but I think the updates of these various sites are breaking links causing me to delete and refresh my cache.

I so worry about this for you all down in Texas. The Texas I knew and loved would never have let such an onslaught of marauders in the door. I’m big mad at Abbott for loading all those illegals onboard planes and buses and sending them inland. No… sending them inland to Hyannis Port is not the answer. I hate our federal and state governments and what they have done to steal from Americans, steal our social resources away from our disabled veterans, disadvantaged American men, women, and children who may need such support due to emergencies in their lives, and freely given it all to these ILLEGALS, UNELIGIBLES, CRIMINALS.
We are harnessed with a terribly expensive Obamacare policy that no legitimate doctors will take. Yet, illegals get free healthcare, running up the bills for American taxpayers to cover. It sickens me to my core. I have a matter on my desk right now; when kiddo hurt her ankle and we had to go to the ortho doctor. Our Obamacare insurance required us to use this weird whole in the wall, ProScan MRI place. We couldn’t use the MRI facility onsite at the ortho hospital. Couldn’t use Northwest Radiology who I have experience with and know their MRIs are around $700. Well, I just got a notice that ProScan billed $2,000!!!! and our insurance denied the claim, thus leaving us hanging on the line for it. We could have used the facility we wanted and paid less!!! We pay $700 a month for that policy, reduced down from the almost $1,000 a month last year.
I am court-ordered to provide health insurance for my daughter due to our parenting plan. I WANT to provide health insurance for us both, but not at the cost of being railroaded into monopolies and high expenditure health plans that don’t do a damn bit of good for us. The only good health wise we have been provided, has come from the direct pay functional health specialist – who we pay CASH for.
I’m ready to pack up and flee the country. I don’t want my tax dollars going to this regime anymore and I don’t want one drop of my sweat supporting it. I am concerned for my daughter’s future efforts. Understandably. We all are.

I don’t understand how there could be a question about their election integrity. Don’t they use the same machines and software the US uses? Our elections are fine.
LOL! When it became obvious what the result of the election would be police in swat gear blocked the entrances to some poling places. At least one polling place refused to open because of the crowd of resisters waiting to vote. At others, gangs which support Maduro, and which are about the only armed civilians in the country, started raiding polling places and stealing the ballot boxes. Exit polling showed votes for the opposition running at over 70%.
When you have paper ballots the steal becomes obvious immediately and so does the reaction.

God morning, Treepers,
Trivial sadness at our place. We got word yesterday that the Plymouth Motor Speedway had to cancel our Toby Mac / Tenth Avenue North concert on August 9th. Now, before we roll our eyes at how trivial this is and it seems like nothing in comparison with the depravity in our world; we coordinated our schedules, took the appropriate time off for the long weekend, and my daughter was so deeply looking forward to a short “getaway from it all”. She’s been anticipating it for months.
These Christian concerts are like Spiritual infusions of pure joy and worship amongst thousands of people who love the Lord and love music. A fun respite. A great thing for a cool Mom to do with her teenager. Last year, seeing Toby Mac had us bouncing non-stop for 90 minutes. It was non-stop smiles and boy howdy do we need some non-stop smiles right now. It was to be a triple header with TobyMac, Tenth Avenue North Friday night, and her beloved Newsboys followed on Sunday. We are crushed.
I’ve tried to “replace” the event – our camping spot’s not available. Indiana Beach is not far (we’ve never been), but hotel rooms are unavailable. Of course every other date around it is available, just not the days we have off (of course – because these things take planning).
This was a really inexpensive event… even cheaper than camping, so it’s not easy to replace. Looking for ideas. We need exercise, massive amounts of vitamin D, bathing in God’s Goodness, and a break from our every day that sees us struggling with unholiness all around.
The State Fair is underway, but we do that as a tradition every year, so we’ve seen it all when it comes to that.
Send some good thoughts and prayers my way that I can find something memorable to share with kiddo. My time grows so short with her. We are under a lot of pressure and need a break. A low cost, but rejuvenating break.
Unusual and spectacular spot is short drive to Wisconsin…The House on the Rock. Should be one of the Wonders of the World, especially for the young. Take more than one day. Lots of walking for exercise. Not much Vitamin D, but she will never forget it.

Not sure that would be our thing…. though I would love a brief trip up to Wisconsin, so you’ve got me thinking outside the box a bit. An old friend of ours, his family owned a shipbuilding business up there. Would be cool to see something like that.
Neither kid nor I are into video games, creepy movies, etc… so we might have to pass on THOTR. Plus, from the reviews seems the air in there might make my lungs scream out for mercy.
And, we need Vitamin D… like life. It’s a mandatory. We need fresh air and probably a fire pit with burning wood. Stars. Lots of stars. Maybe a canoe we can try to capsize. LOL

We are in Central Indiana and have about 2 nights / 2 days – WISH we could do the northern rim up through ND. A trip I would like to take with my daughter someday. Last time we did, she was 2 years old – so doesn’t remember anything from it.
I understand. It’s not for everybody. It’s not even the house, per se. It’s the collections. A doll collections unlike any other int the world. A multistory merry-go-round with not a single horse on it. Street of Yesterday, all inside. Gun collection, model train collection, miniature house collection, musical instrument collection, etc., etc. But, it could be a bit creepy.
Upper Wisconsin is beautiful with the Dells, the coastline, the caves accessed only by canoe, etc. Mucho fresh air.

Our family would go to centennial park and have a big picnic. When was the last time you made a delicious picnic basket and did something like that? When you’re done get that sunlight and vitamin D by listening to Toby while walking the park. As a kid it seemed so large, now not so large at all.

Sorry for the late reply. There is one in the center of Plymouth just north of the Plymouth Motor Speedway.
No worries at all, Norm H. I am usually pretty sporadically on here myself. Fortunately, I was able to cancel the hotel up there without penalty. Opted for camping in Southern Indiana. Looking forward to the fresh air for sure!
Mamoth Cave too far? How about the Children’s Museum in in Indy. Turkey Run is the best of the Indiana state parks IMO.
Haven’t been to Mammoth Cave yet. Used to be members of the Childrens Musem and Conner Prairie is something all the kids did with school field trips in youth. She’s a bit older for that. Haven’t checked out Turkey Run yet.
If Wisconsin distance is acceptable… I’m not sure if going to Bayfield, WI would be too far for you, but the Apostle Islands on Lake Superior are beautiful. There are some scenic cruises offered and different types of ones also. I’d think plenty of camping would be around that area.
Bayfield or towns around there may offer some fun things to do also.
We would LOVE to do that, wanthetruth. So many really good ideas from our Treepers! I am most grateful! That is about a 10 hour trip by car. She’s likely working Thursday evening, so we only have Friday and must return Sunday by mid afternoon in time for the Newsboys concert.
I was able to score a campsite in Southern Indiana, so all is not lost! Funny, though, there’s a 40% chance of rain all weekend. We’ve been known to tough it out in worse conditions, so we will hope for the best!
I’m keeping a list of these suggestions for the future. Bayfield needs to be in our future! Blessings!

Cool story for y’all as you are sipping your morning coffee and tea:
We live in a single-story, condo style apartment on a lake (manmade retention pond – but it’s a big one with two pretty nice fountains). It’s a pretty big lake and we get to see some fun wildlife once in a while. Hundreds of geese, ducks, a muskrat or river otter or two, cranes, coyotes spotted in the field, but I’ve not seen those…etc. Occasionally, a massive bird of prey. Had a run in with a red tail hawk last year that was trying to right itself while carrying a poor muskrat and he balanced himself on my old andironback wood lawn chair which was a sight to behold that really startled me! Less than 10 feet from my desk!
Well, someone must have dumped their tropical fish (?) into our lake because we have these fish that are the brightest RED I’ve ever seen. I tried to look them up, but the only thing I could find was Red Snapper, but they still don’t look as red as these fish. I’ve simply no idea, nor can I find the species of these things. They’re pretty big – maybe 10 to 12″ long. Don’t look like any koi fish I’ve seen before.
Day before yesterday, a gorgeous adolescent male Bald Eagle came through here and he captured one of those bright red fish. He swooped in, grabbed it, and took off for the undeveloped field between us and the freeway. Simply gorgeous! Happened so fast, I could barely get kiddo out to see it in time.

What do these politicians and developers think will happen when one takes away nature? Do we really want what it’s replaced with?

“most peaceful time in human history”…. peaceful in relation to what terms? Artillery? For those of us dealing with the mind games of the public education system – this time feels anything BUT peaceful. As a Christian, it is a constant… and ever-increasing… battle. Especially when trying to raise a child or teenager to have faith and cling to their beliefs in the Lord, develop and use common sense, and critical thinking skills… while the education system is hell bent on dumbing them down.
The psychological damages being inflicted on the populace is an entirely different kind of warfare and I’m not certain when in history such an assault could be found comparable? Was it when Rome fell when people performed lewd and lascivious acts in public with reckless abandon? What happens right before a great empire implodes in on itself? Is it the human sacrifices of the Mayans throwing virgins in volcanoes to pray to their “gods”? Is it the dismissiveness of full human races before Jews were loaded into cattle cars? We are in the prefaces of times such as those! The heathens are outrageous and appalling! Yet, all are too “politically correct” to call them out on it.
In the scriptures of Revelation, it is defined as a time when “Truth” will be considered a lie, and a “lie” will become truth. We are in this time… right now.
For those of us fighting against these forces of darkness; there is no place to hide. Especially when they come for our children and try to convince them that it’s perfectly okay for them to identify as cats, or dogs, or that they are not a boy, or a girl, or an “it”.
They are erasing our heritage, identity, and systematically dismantling the family, and parental authority. And this is the “most peaceful time”? Personally, I would like to live in the naivete of 50 to 70 years ago myself – grow my daughter – die of old age with my greatest worry being what dish to bring to the family reunion. Alas, I was not born in that age much to my discontent with God over that.
Peaceful in terms of war AND civil strife. We humans have a very violent history and in the larger frame of reference, what is happening now is small time. That is until the bastards get us into WW III, like they’re trying to do now.
The animals and the trees remind us of our God and how blessed we are in His Presence. I want to stop looking at the trappings of this world and focus our eyes on Him.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

A February 2024 article in the Smithsonian Magazine warned of the potential for giant locust swarms to increasingly cover more areas due to erratic weather that brings periods of rain and drought. Between 2019 and 2022, the cycles of rainfall and drought created conditions for the desert locusts to breed and grow. A swarm of locusts has the destructive ability to flatten a field of grain in under an hour. The people at the time of the prophet Joel had experienced the devastation of locust swarms. Joel used the image of a locust plague to warn of God’s coming judgment, which would come in the form of a horde of foreign invaders.
Missionary and former professor at Fuller Theological Seminary Dean Gilliland writes, “The same God who commissioned the locusts to come, now that His people have repented, will reimburse with a full payment all of the costs involved.”
The history of the people of God recorded in the Old Testament is one of sorrow and loss, followed by restoration and renewal. Professor Duane Garrett says, “God does not allow the years of suffering to go unanswered.” The key for God to act was the repentance of the people.
Charles H. Spurgeon says, “Time once past is lost forever. … We cannot have back our time. But in a strange and wonderful way, God can give back to us the vested blessings, the unique fruits of years where we mourned. … Everything is possible for the one who believes (Mark 9:23).”
Perhaps you have lost time in self-indulgence, sinful motives, personal ambition, or immoral living. Repent and seek God’s forgiveness, allowing the words of Joel to ring true for you. Place your confidence in the One who gives you hope for a full and fruitful life. Praise Him as you pray for a time of national repentance.

Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,

Evening Prayer For Future Guidance
Heavenly Father, as I lie down to sleep tonight, I pray that You would guard my sleeping and protect my mind from wandering thoughts and unnecessary planning. Teach me to wait for Your perfect timing and not to try to plan my future in my own strength.
Lord, I know that You have scheduled every day of my life. Help me to trust You in all things and rely on You to lead me along the straight path and guide me in the direction that You would have me to go.
Give me patience to wait for Your perfect timing, and may I not trust in my own abilities and scheming, but rather rest in Your love and trust my future into Your hands.
And so now Lord, I commit this night to you, asking that I would rest soundly and wake refreshed and strong to do Your bidding. This I ask in Jesus’ precious name,

Prayer Of Thanksgiving In The Evening
Praise Your holy name Heavenly Father, for granting yet another day in my life and for being with me every step of the way. Thank You for the many blessings that You have provided and the love and fellowship that I have with the friends and family that in Your grace You have placed in my life.
My heart is so thankful for all the many blessings that I enjoy day by day, and today I am once again reminded that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation.
Thank You, that I have been brought into Your family and have been made a child of God and a citizen of heaven. Words cannot express my love and devotion to You Lord
I pray that You would watch over me as I rest tonight, and that You would give me a restful nights sleep so that I may wake up in the morning refreshed in body and spirit and ready to do Your will.
