I’m having trouble with Sundance’s statement of “…no such thing as “disinformation” or misinformation.”
To me, disinformation is real as all warfare is based on deception (Sun Tzu) and we ultimately fight against the father of lies (Satan) of which disinformation spews constantly out his mouth. When someone makes an intentionally false statement that is by definition misinformation. Everything is measured against truth, not whether we accept it or not. We are human and subject to mistakes.

The way I see, what Sundance says is, that even if it’s a lie, it is still information. It is up to people to process it.

How they saw themselves afterwards became their “truth”, or belief, and that led them on how they used it. And there was no turning back until they once again saw the real “Truth” as God had given it to them in the beginning.
I agree and the following is intended to add to rather than to disagree.
Here’s my take on the words, “information,” “misinformation,” and “disinformation”…
“Information” denotes all data that is known, forgotten, shared, not shared, or yet to be discovered, whether it be true or not. That includes both “misinformation” and “disinformation.” On that part, Sundance is 100% correct.
Still, in my humble opinion, the words “misinformation” and “disinformation” are useful in that each describes the intent of the person or entity disseminating the information. Misinformation is information that is not true. However, it can be shared innocently or with evil intent. Disinformation is also not true but is always given with some evil intent.
If someone is innocently sharing misinformation, we need to try educating them, so they know and repeat the truth. If someone is deliberately sharing misinformation, that information becomes disinformation, and we need to view that person as our enemy and refute their information at every opportunity to keep others from innocently sharing it.

To call something disinformation is to call it a lie. It’s a synonym. The vast majority of reporting from CNN and MSNBC is disinformation. We now live in the Disinformation Age or the Age of Deceit that was forecasted nearly 2000 years ago.
To me, Disinformation and Misinformation are accurate terms to describe select subsets (i.e. false statements) of Information and should be used as such. I don’t have a problem with people choosing to go the No Labels route, but stating the certain media organizations engage in propaganda and disinformation seems a perfectly acceptable, reasonable, and appropriate description.

Interestingly, that is a perfect example of the word, “misinformation,”
Merriam Webster defines that word as “incorrect or misleading information” and says the first known use meeting that definition was in 1605; a fact that does not meet the criteria of “a few years ago.”
You’re a little closer regarding “disinformation” which MW defines as “false information deliberately and often covertly spread (as by the planting of rumors) in order to influence public opinion or obscure the truth” and that its first known use was in 1939.
Giving credit where credit is due, the use of “malinformation” does in fact seem to be fairly new; as, I have not been able to find it listed as a word defined by MW.
Words are not inherently good, evil, or innocently incorrect. It is the intent of the user that can be. I don’t think you were deliberately trying to misinform; but, in my opinion, sharing inaccurate information should be avoided.

Citizen Free Press is mainly a news aggregator site. I also find it frustrating that they reference articles from Axios, Politico, CNN, ect.
I feel that is because there are many more communist-totalitarian news sites than there are conservative leaning sites.
So they are essentially providing information regarding the subject.

Most linked articles do not have a comment section, since they ink directly with the source.
My take is that Kane and his crew are solid conservatives.
Concur, they (CFP) aggregate a wider volume and political spectrum than I can and my sense is they are center-right to right leaning in the very limited editorial perspective. So they are among my daily pull 0f news sites for current situational awareness. As Fox has migrated leftward, the search for quick summations of national political events and threats has become more fragmented and devolved into a daily hour of mostly-trusted site-scanning for pertinent news.

Two years ago I watched a debate of two local candidates. Both women running for the office were of Native American ancestry, so the feelz candidate couldn’t bash the other candidate with that.

My teen takes a digital lit class and they covered misinformation and disinformation. He was told misinformation is saying the wrong thing by accident, one doesn’t know it’s false. Disinformation is lying on purpose.
When I asked him what he really thought of these definitions, he said they both seem to be plain old lies.
I hope that they told him about malinformation! That one is my favorite.
Malinformation is information that is actually true but not helpful to those controlling the narrative.
