English long distance swimmer who was first to swim unassisted across the English Channel, drowns in the Niagara Falls whirlpool at 35
Biography: Webb made the first recorded swim across the English Channel without artificial supports.
In 1875 he swam from the Admiralty Pier at Dover to near Calais in approximately 21 hours and 40 minutes, becoming an instant celebrity and now professional swimmer. Webb now performed a variety of further stunts.
These took him to the US and culminated in an effort to swim the Whirlpool Rapids on the Niagara River near the Niagara Falls. After succeeding in the first part of the swim Webb succumbed to the powerful swell at the entrance to the Whirlpool and drowned.

Biography: James Chadwick was a British physicist who is best known for his discovery of the neutron in 1932. This groundbreaking work earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1935, recognizing his substantial contributions to the field. His discovery of the neutron, a neutrally charged particle within the atomic nucleus, was a crucial step in the development of nuclear physics.
Chadwick began his scientific career studying under Ernest Rutherford, a pioneer of nuclear physics, at the University of Manchester. In the 1920s, he moved to the Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, where he continued his investigations into atomic structure.
His discovery of the neutron came during his time at Cambridge. Chadwick identified the neutron after interpreting the results of a series of experiments conducted by other scientists, particularly the work of Irene Joliot-Curie and Frederic Joliot-Curie. His understanding of these experimental results and his subsequent experiments led to the discovery of the neutron, a particle with no charge that resides in the atomic nucleus alongside protons.

I believe I am distantly related to this man through my father’s line. I am presently investigating the genealogical link. Unfortunately, I do not seem to have inherited any of his scientific talents. 🙂

The number of “dees” indicates danger, and other birds and even squirrels take heed to the chickadee threat assessment.

I’ve been reading about the differences between crows and ravens, and still can’t quite tell which it is we have living here. I’m inclined to go with raven, by their size, sounds, and tails.
I was a little peeved with them when they first appeared about 6 or 7 years ago because they displaced our great horned owls. But, the more I learn about them, the more I like them. They’re actually quite long-lived, monogamous, and smart. They apparently form opinions about people, recognize faces, and can be naughty or nice toward them! Can’t wait to learn more.

I grew up in Western OK and saw mosly insect catchers, hawks and quail before their decline. Colored songbirds were mostly non-existent in wheat growing country.
Now a city dweller, I have found a new hobby, feeding and watching. Like you – I would miss not seeing them.

About five or six years ago, I held a class in Mishawaka, Ind. at St. Monica’s Catholic Church. It was a class on the Constitution (original intent). Those who attended were astounded by learning what they did not know.

Thank you for reaching out. You mentioned a course that you participated in which enlightened many as to how much Constitutional knowledge is being omitted from the public’s knowledge diet nowadays. To clarify, can you tell me whose course you were enrolled in? Name of the course and the presenter?
Great. I did not enroll in it. This is a video course my wife and I created. The class here in Texas (and Ohio) is called a Constitution Boot Camp class. A patriot group here called True Texas Project uses it a part of their membership requirement.
A group I am affiliated with, (Building Blocks for Liberty), , teaches the same course throughout Ohio but they use a PowerPoint presentation with a live instructor rather than a straight video. I created a video version so that anyone regardless of their constitutional knowledge could propagate the class…and knowledge.
I am looking for contact information, if you have it, for anyone with a passion for teaching others to multiply this class in Indiana...hopefully throughout the entire state or able to get others to do so. This class is also online on YouTube so is free. I can provide the links to anyone interested. I do have testimonials if needed; one from a current Texas legislator who was thrilled about the class.
As you noted before, constitutional literacy is a huge problem, not only in Indiana, but all over. We have been at this for well over ten years and it’s like pulling teeth to get classes organized. Hopefully, a video class will greatly enhance our chances of getting facilitators.
I am a life coach for the Biblical Citizenship series and Constitution Alive through PatriotAcademy.com.
My concern, as I have seen several abbreviated courses is that folks have “twitter” minds. One page, quick hit, Constitutional learning does not register, nor is easily remembered. With my class, I added a game I developed and incorporated it into the 8 week, 2 hours per week, program… so that people USE the Constitution and roll-play and compete to win great DefenderGear.com prizes, so that they learn to USE the Constitution to learn, teach, defend, and ASSERT their rights.
I’m not a fan of shorter methods. People need practice.
Can’t give a person a firearm and a 6 hour class and them come out a professional target shooter. They need to learn balance, muscle memory, and confidence. Without muscle memory, folks are too quick to lose precious information.

Yes, I know Rick and am in awe of his ability to connect with kids. My mentor debated him about five or six years ago. His Patriot Academy and I agree on most things. We started out as a series, like Hillsdale’s, but quickly found out that a one-day class is far, far more effective than a series’ so we put the video into four 45-minute segments so that they fall within normal classroom timelines if the opportunity ever comes up to get it into schools. It needs to. This is soooooooooooooo important if we are to get back to limited and moral government.

Good morning, friend. Saw your message this morning. You asked about Dan, AKA Dan-O-Man. He passed away a little over a year ago. Terrible, terrible hurt and he was gone much too soon. A most regal boy and who couldn’t do without a little sophistication in our lives?
The world has gone mad, but we’re in the hands of a loving God. I gotta keep reminding myself of that.
It helps to remember that most Americans are in the very same boat.

He has recently been diagnosed with very serious life-threatening cancer and is undergoing treatment. This would be heart breaking at any age but even more so for someone just starting out. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

So much is “artificial intelligence” constructed to elicit an emotional response and frankly, I don’t let much of anyone have control over my emotions. Opinion Question for the Tree:
What is everyone’s take on absentee voting? Last Trump election, I waited in line seven hours to vote. SEVEN.
Now, I totally understand the desire and push to vote on day of, because then the cheaters won’t have clear numbers that they need to clear to steal… but with all the “glitches” to machines, scams with the on site overseers and counters, part of me wants to vote ahead to clear the path for someone else to get there in person because my vote has been consistent and is not going to change.
There’s many who feel, who are uneducated, that Trump lost in 2020. They are just void of intellectual capacity to believe the government could be so sinister. (Must be nice to live in that La La land!) Many of those voters are swing voters, who could be coming to our side. They’ll be going to the polls.

I personally believe that the long lines and closing of voting stations and poll sites is another form of election interference.
The planned disaster in Maricopa County, AZ in 2022, resulted in an illegitimate Governor, state secretary, and AG. TPTB indeed fomented the long lines by deliberately disabling 61% of the voting machines – only in Republican areas. People either waited 5 or 6 hours to cast a vote or were directed to other polling stations (who were experiencing the same problems).
The person in charge of that election was the Secretary of State, Katie Hobbs, who was installed as Governor due to her own election interference. Can’t make up this stuff. 😔

But, I wanted to respond to your query about voting options.
I always loved election day voting, and in fact worked the polls many years. Very special, exciting and much anticipated day!
When I moved to our rural home, our polling place was in the opposite direction (by a fair distance) from work at the hospitals where my husband and I were employed. And…..our shifts began before polls opened. On the opposite end, we were subject to taking call and unable to get back in time. So…we had no choice but to vote absentee.
Of course, now we have voting season which extends from weeks prior to election day to however long it takes to cheat a “win.” I just don’t think it matters anymore how you cast your vote. In fact, on my most cynical days, not sure my vote counts the way intended at all.
So…..we have kept our absentee status, and I think nostalgicly about the days of yore and the anticipation of Election Day.

Glad to see you, even if for only a minute. We ordered our absentee ballots. We, too, wonder if our votes will matter, if for nothing other than “forensics”. I’ve never voted absentee before, but if the chance comes to serve in other areas that day… it would give us a bit of flexibility to do so.
In person on Election Day!! Those planned problems are the evil democrats way to steal our elections and destroy our country. Those problems were DELIBERATE.

There are many working and many have infiltrated this side. There are spies and many who are dedicated to take down My David, even if he was to win this election. [You see?] the handwriting on the wall for that to happen. So they have a plan in place to still try to take him out or to stop him even after this election from their impending doom. Whistleblowers are coming, yes, but it still isn’t enough for the full changing of the guard. You need Me for that. Having an interest in genealogy, when I first heard the name ‘Cheatle’ I thought to myself, I have never heard that surname before, but it sounds a lot like ‘Cheadle’ which is a place in the U.K. near where I once lived.

Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,
