Assume it’s not a real impeachment–it’s a political move. What does it do?
Kamala is not the favorite candidate of Democrats. They may publicly support her but privately, they are not happy. What the GOP is doing is attacking her legally.
Now what did lawfare do to Trump? It caused conservative voters to circle the wagons: the more lawfare against him, the more we supported him.
I think this may also be the point of the impeachment of Kamala. But why is the GOP doing this? Because there ARE stronger Democrat candidates that could be chosen if the DNC perceives her as not polling well. Yes, a bunch of fake polls are coming out today, but the DNC has the real polls. If the Democrats reject her, she can’t win.
However, if she is being attacked from the outside, Democrats will have a kneejerk reaction to support her. That could change the empty rooms, the lack of clapping, the low internal polls. The more support she has before mid-August, the surer her candidacy. But why is the GOP participating in this?
Trump has been preparing to run against Kamala, certainly since the debate, if not before. Trump supporting politicians do not want any other candidate at this late date. That would be the reason to consolidate the Democrat support around her by attacking her with an impeachment. Trump’s supporters in the party believe that Kamala is the weakest (and therefore best) candidate.
Yep. This brilliant strategy probably comes from the same people who are flooding Twitter with “Vote against Kamala because she’s a ho” posts. They ain’t doing this stuff to help us. Their mission is to paint us as bigoted neanderthal loonies. They drop the turds and then the media picks them up and smears them all over us.

BLM is alphabet. There are two possible goals to something like this. First, to get moderate Democrats to see Kamala in a more favorable (not radical) light. There are moderate Dems who watch Bill Maher and who don’t like political violence.
Second, it could be a move to address Kamala’s weakness with the black community. You’ve seen the memes today: Kamala jailed a lot of blacks in California, sometimes wrongly, to support the prison industrial complex. The question is how to counter that very real past. Enter BLM, co-opting the issue and, eventually, “forcing” Kamala to agree to their principles. Kamala will suddenly be a “new convert” to “reimagining” policing and supporting no-cash bail and releasing violent felons from prison. Kamala will be repositioned, unburdened by her past. Black America will see that she raises her fist to the BLM theme song and her prosecutorial past is magically gone.
