I was naive enough at the time to believe the SC would stop him easily and follow the provisions of our founding document. They refused to touch the subject. Compromised or cowards is a toss up reason for pushing a non natural born citizen into office. At that point I knew we the people were not the ones choosing their president anymore.
It’s only gotten worse as we arrive at the present time and the NBC requirement has been negated and broken by those who don’t want the Constitution as written anymore and who want America “fundamentally changed.”
They are not stopping either in trying to take our nation apart and build it into their idea of a country run by them. We cannot stop opposing them either.

The definition of “natural born citizen” has not been resolved by the U.S. Supreme Court.
There are arguments both ways: that all that is required is birth in the United States to legal residents (that is NOT an “anchor baby” — that’s the term for babies born in U.S. to nonresident foreigners and illegals); alternately, birth to at least one parent who is a U.S. citizen either in the United States (or U.S. territory) or to a citizen woman who is merely temporarily abroad, e.g. on vacation.
Those are the two main proposals, although variations, which I won’t go into now, which turn on parental sex and or blood/place arguments re one parent’s citizenship elsewhere, also have been floated and argued for.
It is possible, but unlikely, that your preferred definition of two citizen parents plus birth in the U.S. would be adopted.
Regardless, do you really think this is the issue of importance right now? You’d rather Trump be up against… who?

I will always believe the definition intended was by blood and soil is a natural born citizen made. Not an anchor baby or a naturalized citizen. Parents both being citizens at the time of child’s birth. It only makes sense with all the evidence starting with the clause itself pertaining ONLY to P and VP.

Yesterday I floated between making a comment and not making a comment. Now that it has been reported that Biden has emerged from hiding, I will type the comment I wanted to type yesterday.
My husband and I went down to the DE beaches for the weekend. We were not but maybe a mile and a half, two miles at the most from the Biden beach house. On Saturday around 12:30ish we heard people on the beach complaining of their phones dropping cell service. My husband picked up his phone and tried to make a call. It would only allow the phone to make emergency only calls. He tried again and the same thing. He restarted his phone got a call through only for it to drop after the second ring. I said to my husband hmm wonder if something happened to Biden and they shut cell service off so no one can intercept communications. The cell outage only lasted ten minutes at the most.
I’ve been thinking about that ATF agent in a suit that requested photos from the roof be sent to ATF.
I don’t know if the reports of him being there independently (on his own) are true or not…
but I wonder if it had anything to do with the parents reporting issues to law enforcement prior to the rally? He may have been there in connection with ongoing ATF activity re the shooter or family (already on their radar).
