President Donald Trump is focused on winning the 2024 race, whatever it takes. Only focus = November.

I am glad that Mr Trump had the support of his other kids, their wives, their ex wives, and all of his grandchildren. They were all safe and made it home safely without any SS protection. Their SS protection has been long gone for a long time.
Retired Magistrate here: I watched Dr. Carson’s speech at the RNC convention and I was shocked at how frail he seems. It looked like it took everything he had just to make his presentation. He is only 72 years old and he looks at least 80. So something is definitely going on with his health.
I have a sense of peace about what has happened with President Trump and GOD’s intervention. President Trump’s comment about realizing that every moment that we have on this earth is a gift from GOD made me appreciate more the moments that I currently have. What the future holds; I have no idea. However, I know who holds the future, GOD.
Dr. Carson had a high grade malignancy many years ago but I think they were able to resect it with no recurrence that I have heard about. It prompted him to retire early from his medical practice. He also got a bad case of the COVID which really took him down, too. He has told Trump he would serve him in any way that he was called on to do.

I watched an interesting interview this morning that Tucker Carson did with John Rich. He released a song and video on July 16th called “Revelation” that he said was channeled through him from God. They had an in-depth discussion about the Bible and President Trumps attempted assassination.
His father was a preacher and he knows his scripture. He talks about “the mark of the beast”, end times and how he views our world today. Highly recommend if anyone is interested.

I listened to this earlier in the week. The word channeled is disturbing to me. I would have felt much more comfortable if he had stated it was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Tucker used the channeling word and Rich did not correct it. Also further into the interview Rich was talking about the Apostle Paul and that he had had Christians beheaded before the Damascus Road experience. Paul, to my knowledge, and none of the Jews ever used beheading. They stoned people to death and Paul by divine intervention, survived a stoning.

Didn’t God give us free will? Doesn’t that mean that God steps back to see our character develop? Why would there be a need for a judgement day for us if God is controlling everything we do? (“Free will” does not preclude God stepping in from time to time to thwart Satan).

Yes we have free will. Yes we will be judged. Yes the LORD is in control. We have free will to do what we do, but covertly GOD will use whomever he chooses good or bad for his will to be done. I am more along the lines of saying some idol we made or some man or woman is not gonna save this nation only GOD will if he chooses too. Yeah we may have a small part in it. You never know it’s more about your faith in him. Regardless of what happens to this nation you’re gonna be fine if you have faith. Use common sense though. Be wiser than the serpent.

I called Barron the designated survivor this week. Melania’s not going to let anything happen to her only child that is within her power to prevent. She just has slightly less preventive power with his father.
She was part of the decision to run, she knows the stakes, they made this choice together, she will sustain him.

I have thought for some time that Dr. Carson did not look well. I didn’t post my thoughts because, there are a lot of Treepers who wanted him as VP and it would not have gone over well.
I said last Saturday that it was Divine Intervention with President Trump meaning that God isn’t finished with him yet. Trump I believe is well aware of this and the magnitude of what is on his shoulders.
I was watching a speech Thursday at the Convention at the Faith and Freedom Coalition forum by Speaker Johnson on George Washington being attacked by the Indians in the French and Indian War. Washington was sick for ten days before confined to a bed. It was near Pittsburgh and they marched through a wooded area. Washington was on horseback leading his troops through the woods and ambushed by Indian fire. Out of 100 volunteers, only 30 survived. The first Divine Providence was that Washington was too ill to do what he did. He had 4 bullet holes in his coat and lost two horses, but he was unhurt.
Fifteen years later, an old Indian Chief told Washington that he told his young men at the time he had an Indian Wisdom and was protected by the Spirit. One Indian said I had 17 shots at him and could not bring him to the ground. The Chief said to Washington that he was under the guardianship of the Great Spirit and immediately ceased fire on him. The Great Spirit protects that man that will become a Chief of Nations and founder of a mighty empire.
Johnson actually did a good job on this. Anyway, he made the parallel of this this story into what happened to Trump last Saturday and that it was God’s hand who was there to protect him and that He is working within Trump.

TY Sundance. I would have loved a Trump/Carson team but have watched and listen to Ben Carson for some time now and thought perhaps he had had a stroke. In many appearances over the last year or so his speech had a different cadence and is not as clear as it once was and his gait and body movements are different than before. Some could be attributed to age but I had the distinct feeling it was a physical affliction . Coming on stage last night he did not move his left arm and only used it a few times. He has been frail for some time now.
I also think Trump was more bruised and battered than any have said publicly. He too is moving differently. I pray there was no lasting damage from the pile on from Sat.
I am so grateful he has Melania to draw strength from. I pray he may take a few days to rest just a bit.

Vance seems to be a young man in search of a father figure.
He was raised by women and seems to be influenced by his wife.
But he seemed honestly thrilled to be chosen by President Trump, not like a politician who schemes to gain some graft by being so close to power, but like a young man who is chosen by a heroic older man to embark on some great adventure.
Not sure if any of you remember the Warner Brothers cartoon of Chester and Spike, where a little terrier idolizes a big, bluff bulldog and is thrilled to be noticed by him.
That was how Vance struck me, grinning and just being jazzed to hang around a man who, I believe, he genuinely admires.
I think President Trump could be a force for good for Vance, could help him to learn to be brave and stand upon his principles, no matter what.
They both are obviously surprised by this sudden and amazing change in their previous life trajectory ….. excited yeah, but nervous, too.

A lot of people do not fully understand what happened on Saturday. That bullet was not “flicked away” at the last minute. God does not react to events, He decrees what will and will not be. In the province of God that bullet was not going to hit President Trump. It was already decreed. No flicking needed.
I used to hesitate embracing my faith, but no longer. It now provides me daily meaning and understanding, and I am grateful.

I was never on the VP Ben bandwagon. Nor because I did not like Ben, I love him, but because I think they would crush him. He walked on stage to give his speech the other night and I knew I was 100% right. He looked quite frail already.
My choice was always Sarah Palin, because she is as badass as President Trump, and she deserves a fair shot with a REAL MAN on the ticket.
I think they would have been unstoppable.

After Saturday I made a promise to myself that I would: wear my Trump Gear, put out all my Trump flags and banners and quit worrying about being confronted. I’m 78 years old and not in good fighting shape lol. Granddaughter came over and put the ladder up and hung 8 foot banner, put my flags in my front garden and went to breakfast with family and wore my Trump t shirt. Last night I’m watching the convention and I keep hearing horns honking randomly. Finally got up and went to the front window. I live on the corner that everyone must enter to get to my neighborhood. The horns were honking at my banner!! I cracked up laughing and went back to watching my convention. MAGA I live in California and there are way more of us than I thought.
Before I moved back to the Nashville area, I was a member at Trump National and have a lot of golf shirts and very gaudy hats that I took from the back of my closet and it’s all I’ve worn since.

I hoisted the Trump Train 2024 and Save America Again Trump 2024 flags on our 20-foot flagpole in the front yard.
We are surrounded by neighbors employed at Meta, Google, Netflix, ad nauseum. There are a good 1/2 dozen Patriots on the block. So far, nobody has honked or said anything. On the bright side, nobody has vandalized them either.
I use magnetic Trump 2024 bumper stickers on my car, and remove them when stopped.
Funny how that works: the left speaks the words: Coexist, Tolerance, Diversity. Yet they seem to hate 1/2 the country!

There is a disconnect. President Trump’s goal is to Make America Great Again. This is a builder’s goal. An impediment to MAGA is the Deep State. Dismantling the Deep State is not the goal. Yes, it must be done. The goal is MAGA. What will President Trump build? Global alliances. Peace treaties. Restored cities. Better infrastructure. Dreaming big.
Where does he need help? Business alliances. Visionaries. Spiritual revival. Stronger churches. Better (classical) education. Virtuous citizens. Helping those who have been forgotten in the past.
If all this can occur, by God’s grace, then that is momentum carries well beyond the next 4 years.
Often, I ask the Good Lord a question. Most of the time I do not get an answer (actually rare that I do). But, when I do get an answer, a feeling that I cannot describe comes over me, and I get the answer in an instant, before I even finish asking the question.
One of my most important questions was, which I am sure many of you have wondered is: “Why is there evil in the world?” God’s answer was that he created man with free will. Why? True love, whether it is to God or to one another can only come from free will, or it is not true love.
I did not watch the rally live on TV. My wife approached me all frantic that Trump was shot. Interestingly, I did not worry because I knew. I knew that so many have prayed to God to protect Trump, and that he would be taken care of, however the Good Lord decided. I knew that God had placed, not one, but two Guardian Angels, one on each shoulder. While no one can see them, I know that they are there.
We can only vote for what we’re given right now, even if it comes down to the same ol’ “lesser of the two evils”. I have a little more hope than that, though. I think President Trump will do a better job of keeping things in check, he also knows it’s only one term for him so he needs to get things done fast. It’s very important to give him both chambers of Congress. We don’t want to see the slow walk of all his cabinet appointees. I wonder if some were even still waiting to get approved before he left.
Not only President Trump, but his entire family has the thickest skin I’ve ever seen in public life. I am a little concerned about Barron. I do think his mother has been pretty protective with him, but he may be different, too, from the rest, including his younger cousin who gave a speech for her grandpa at the RNC and seemed to be pretty resilient. I think we’re used to seeing very strong Trumps, what Barron might be going through is probably more what ordinary people would feel and react to such an event.
It was his father who almost got killed while he watched. Any child is hit hard by the death of a parent, particularly when young. His father was saved by a miracle, a wondrous miracle, but still it’s traumatic. I have been praying for President Trump and his family. They will need our prayers.

We should all perhaps relax. Are you not in His hands just as VSGDJT is?
Perhaps the purpose of this site is to spread the Gospel in the secular worlds of politics and culture, and to edify those warriors who are called to work in those fields.
Maybe it’s the “clan” thing, because otherwise I still fail to see why Donalds would not have been a far better pick. He’s smart, quick on his feet, charismatic, would have immense appeal to minorities, and has a far more proven political pedigree than Vance. And he would have set up the generational transition as well or better than Vance.
I was so saddened to see Vance up there, giving a miserable, unconvincing speech, when I knew Donalds could have hit it out of the park.
Trump has a history of many bad appointments. This is an area of prominence in my prayers for him.
I still entertain hopes of a switch out. But as you main point affirms, either way, God is in control.

Years ago when I began my service in an intensive Bible study ministry, all serving were asked what we most wanted to learn about God during the newly created study of Isaiah. Most, including myself, responded that we want to understand God’s attribute of sovereignty.
After 9 months I grasp the meaning of God’s sovereignty.
After the despair of having the 2020 election stolen and the pure evil subsequent affects, the only concept which gave me any slim understanding and comfort is when I accepted that God is sovereign and gives all authority, including the unholy pathway that Biden became president. I accepted His Word although it was a mystery at that time why it was His will.
As shocking as the assassination attempt of President Trump was to me, I knew God’s sovereign will was displayed for President Trump to assuredly know and for all the world to see and know that He has President Trump in the palm of His hand.
This is about more than just the U.S. presidency. It is about God being sovereign and all the world to see and comprehend His power and His will and to turn back to Him through Christ.
When President Trump has given on numerous occasions the glory to God for saving his life, he instantly became and will continue to be the most prominent evangelist/missionary for such a time as this.
During some ‘15/‘16 rallies and henceforth he and Melania would call on the name of the Lord, but now He is embracing the calling God has for him at this time.
God attributes are many, but at the Butler, PA rally I saw His sovereignty, His omnipotence, His mercy and love, His righteousness, His omnipresence, and His faithfulness.
May President Trump follow the guidance of His Holy Spirit as He walks the path the Lord has chosen and purposed for him to God’s glory.
There is no greater joy than to serve the Lord as He purposes. It doesn’t mean it will always be easy, but it does mean that President Trump will never walk alone.

Since my son passed in 11/22 right after a mandated covid vaccine (massive cerebral hemorrage) I have become cynical of God and powers of above. I do think he saved the President’s life.
Very sorry to hear of the loss of your son–I cannot imagine the pain and sorrow that you bear.
I’m sorry for the loss of our son, wvgal57. In 2007, I also lost my adult son. So I do know the pain and grief that you are feeling. All I can say from my experience is that the pain is always there. But with the passing of time, coping with it gets better.

It does make you wonder. Why are some taken and some are not? Why was it God’s plan for my father to die at 51 or your son to die? I wondered what did God have to teach me that he needed to kill off my father? (I was 17 at the time). And yes, I was skeptical of God for many years as a result. I prayed so much for dad to heal and live, but in the end, the cancer was so bad, I had to pray for him to die to be released from the pain. And it’s hard to rationalize why it was God’s plan for him to go through that.
so I understand your skepticism. And I never have figured out why things happened as they did. But I do see God leading my footsteps and creating miracles in my life. Yes, there were some awful moments, but for the large part, God has provided me with a good life.
I hope you will be able to heal from the grief of your loss and come to acceptance. God loves you, even when you’re not looking at Him, He is always looking for you.
