I have been saying exactly that for quite some time. Dr. Carson’s age. In four years time he will be 76. Not everyone has the stamina of President Trump. Campaigning takes a toll. His wife seems to be a behind the scenes person. Thrusting her into campaign mode at this stage is a lot to ask. I pray Dr. Carson remains healthy enough to serve in the next Trump administration.

I had an experience not long ago where I was very fuzzy because of fatigue and a cold, it was late at night, I was in a parking lot picking up a car from a huge car carrier, I was walking towards it not paying much attention and suddenly I could not move a step forward, it felt like I was rooted to the ground. The next instant a car whizzed by me that I had not seen–if I had not been stopped by some unseen force I would have been in its path. I Thank God everyday..
Many Christians have learned that when we cannot see the spiritual world around us, the one intersection of both our physical world and the spiritual world is time. The timing of events and things in our physical world and the spiritual world coincide from time to time to give us a glimpse of the spiritual world around us. The timing of PDT turning his head and you being stopped from stepping in front of a car are just 2 examples of the intersection of time between the two worlds.

I was thinking about Dr. Carson possibly not in a position to accept the VP role and maybe that’s why Trump went with Vance. Vance’s message on Wednesday night was heavily focused on Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. Team Trump has to return those states to the win column to be successful. I’m 100% good with whatever that takes. Not winning is unthinkable at this point.

In contrast, I disagree with your oft-stated premise that people do not change from their early positions. That is certainly true of some people, particularly those of weak character, mind and/or heart who will feign flipping to bait, but later switch back. Yet, many people of higher quality can and do flip their positions in a positive direction and STAY there. For example, me. I was raised an atheist, but found God in my late teens, and am now 73 with no “flipping back.” Also, I voted Democrat until 1984 after seeing what Reagan was doing, and I have never (knowingly) voted for a single Democrat ever since.
A podcast commentator who goes by the name “Just Human” stated on Wednesday night, that he is about the same age as JD and (like JD) opposed Trump in 2016. He said that after the huge disappointment with billionaire Romney in 2012, he was not ready to believe another billionaire named Trump would be any better. But when Trump got into office and started executing, he gradually changed his mind, and by late 2017 was 100% onboard the Trump train, and has been ever since. He said he thinks he represents a large swath of conservative voters who just didn’t trust Trump early on, but now are opening up to Trump. He said that by JD being anti-Trump in 2016, but then flipping in favor of Trump, it gives these voters comfort voting for Trump now.
I believe Sundances oft stated position (not speaking for him, mind you) is specifically about NEVER-Trumpers, rather than people in general.
Certainly the popularity of DJT has steadily increased since the escalator ride, and that reflects milkion of people changing their opinion of him.
Never-Trumpers are a subset of humanity, having vowed to NEVER accept DJT as legitimate.

He had a fantastic joke there where he recounted a young man sending talking birds to his Mother for her birthday. He called and asked how she liked the birds. “Umm, they was some good eating!” “Mom, Mom, those were $5,000 talking birds!” … Mom: “Well, they should have said something.”
Obama was in stitches. Then Dr. Carson lowered the boom with his suggestion of a flat 10% tax.

I say there will be a floor-fight (but only for show) and Newsome lets Harris take her lumps in November and keeps his powder dry for 2028 against Vance. This is the exit the Dems want for Kamala, the candidate nobody really wants.

I told my wife yesterday that someone should make a graphic with a picture of the bullet near his head with a big hand (God) on his head turning it at the last instant. This is pretty close to that.
I got nothing to say that hasn’t been said. What happened to save Trump’s life was a miracle. No one is THAT lucky. No one can skill themselves out of it. It was a professional and purposeful hit by powerful people.
The series of events were all over the place. And you don’t even have to talk about blame or who-dun-it. But I will say theories about “the kid wasn’t the shooter” is probably very wrong. The whole point of how it went down in Trump’s favor was the fact that police were poking their heads up to see him. The shooter went to point at the police who dropped to the ground. But the shooter knew it was “now or never” and so he took his haphazard shots to miss Trump.
Where was God in this? Everywhere. The cops popping their head up on the roof to startle the shooter? To add an unexpected crosswind? It could have been anything. But the GROUPING of those bullets were TIGHT. The shooter was aiming to kill and missed all of them.
All of the technical details I find about this so far point to MIRACLE. The whole event was rigged to kill Trump and they couldn’t do it.
They are desperate. Scary desperate. DEI-hire Cheatle could and just may install the next killer in Trump’s secret service detail directly. How many miracles does it take to become a saint?

There is NO mention of Goliath’s brothers regarding that event in I Samuel 17. He was not planning to kill 5 total as there is no way he would have known having just come from his father’s flocks and it is not mentioned in this book and chapter.
After David became king much, nuch later after Saul was dead and David made king, the mention of those 4 brothers and their individual fates are described in II Samuel chapters 20-22 in later battles / wars.

Decades ago when I took my first intensive Bible study, the teacher chose to read aloud the book of Revelation since it was not included in the study. When she got to the end, God put the fear in me as I heard Rev. 22:18.

To this day, this verse is brought to mind when I read added man’s conclusions or misinterpretations of His Word. Rule 1: use Scripture to interpret Scripture when in doubt of it’s meaning; otherwise, accept Deut. 29:29 as truth and pray for wisdom.

Thank you, MC. I try very hard. I’m not very pious and am one of His worst sinners, but I ask for forgiveness and follow the 2 commandments of Jesus as best I can.
Having said that, I have spent the last 25 years reading the KJV with its original apocrypha, as well as other non canonical books.
I also took the time to see who wrote each, the time period each refers to and what was going on and cross checked to the best of my ability to contemporaneous credible historians of each era.
Prophecy is a difficult thing to interpret and there is a warning in Revelation concerning that particular set of prophecy.
The prophets of the OT, not so much.
The histories and specific facts of the OT once cross checked thoroughly paint some pictures that run against generally accepted views and quite frankly, the various dogmas and beliefs. And most of those times, the logic derived from those facts makes more sense when seen with those items revealed.
One thing I will say is that some things are not really as mysterious as they seem when those facts are understood in a new context and some other of those things are too much for most to contemplate or understand for now.
Some things are just not what they appear. Others, seemingly insignificant are more important than they appear.
One day, one day, it will come.
Daniel makes reference to knowledge and understanding will increase in the later times.
Other scriptures state or imply that many will be troubled when the truth of things come.

Rick contacted publishers of Bible for permission to use their Bibles in the app, for free. Many agreed, some didn’t; hence, Rick ultimately included items for a price. His app is cafeteria style: You can choose tons of Bibles (free, some for a fee, including KJV & KJV+ (w/Strong’s Numbers)) and download them into your custom app. One can also download original Hebrew OT/Greek NT versions. You do the same for categories Commentary, Dictionary, Reference sources, Lexicon.
Whatever items you choose to pay for, always retain the “Product Key” as it is always re-usable to download on any other device you currently have or purchase in the future. The app is$3.99. Rick Meyers still responds to emails from his customers like me who have a question, which is a testament of his fundamental service to the Lord.
As I pray John 16:13 prior to my personal study time, when I feel the need to go deeper on a verse, I can click on the “Compare” tab and it will show that verse in all the Bibles I have downloaded, which is about 35. This is where interpreting Scripture with Scriptures is very important. Yes, I agree one must know the Bible day Jewish culture (and non-Jewish) to understand the meaning of some Scripture instead of people inflecting their current culture into one’s interpretation and understanding, which will be incorrect. Sadly, many churches and denomination don’t follow this protocol and they are apostate in their beliefs, dogma, traditions and lead their flock astray accordingly as did the Pharisees of their day.
Agree regarding prophecy. O.T. Prophecy is not confusing if taught in context of the division and fall of the northern/southern kingdoms and the prophets of the timeframe. Completely different and less challenging than Revelation.
The Holy Spirit guides one into all Truth and God gives wisdom. More is revealed to any believer who asks.

Yeah, Carson was the perfect choice, and after him there was a massive power gap before reaching the next tier of choices. Vance is at an even lower tier, but Trump got much in trade for him, so fair enough. Better than his 2016 deal for Pence, for which he only got Cruz and Romney to agree not to talk mean about him at the convention. Manafort did that deal, but I’m sure Trump did this one.
I disagree re “massive power gap”. IMHO MAGA has and continues to produce and nurture a whole generation of “up and comings” whereas both wings of the Uniparty continue to produce hacks.
Mind you, the short list the media promoted was crap.

I can’t find any recent articles about Ben Carson and illness.
There are many dated November of 2020 when Dr. Carson had fallen very, very ill from Covid and took “experimental” meds. I hadn’t realized that he was in danger from that illness, but he was.
Might have something to do with college orientation.

If JD proves to be a problem, POTUS47 can simply cut him off, as FDR did with his THREE VPs. The eventual nod of our VSG a few years hence will be invaluable to any candidate for POTUS48…but they will have to earn it…IMHO. What a wild ride we have in store for us! I agree Corwin. President Trump might give JD the opportunity, but he will have to earn our vote in ‘28. It is not a given after all 45 and we the people have been subjected to, and now this assassination attempt. JD will make a huge mistake to take anything for granted. Any missteps and we will not overlook it. He can fall of his pedestal into total disgrace just like Judas-Pence if he even thinks about undermining President Trump. I wish him well for 45’s sack and ours, but I’ll be watching.

I was in the hospital earlier this week with a very serious infection that had quickly turned to sepsis. I was helped by a number of doctors and nurses whom I thanked constantly for their help in killing the bug and taking care of me.
One young RN was a young man in his twenties. He had come from Ukraine with his family twenty years ago. They arrived in America with nothing. He started school in first grade. He spoke no English then. His parents learned English and he had a tutor to help him with the language. His entire family are Christians and attend a Ukrainian Christian church.
He completed some college courses before he graduated from high school. He became first a CNA and began working in the hospital. He then completed Registered Nurse training in a local college. As he told me his story, I told him he was an inspiration to everyone by having used every opportunity offered in America.
He thanked me for my kindness toward him. I asked him, “Where did my kindness come from?”
He answered, “From God, through the Fruit of the Holy Spirit.” I smiled and said, “Yes.”
I said, “Every good thing in our lives comes from Almighty God. Our very first breath and EVERY breath. All of the blessings in our lives come from Almighty God.”
We became brothers in faith and I saw God’s hand in all the professional and caring help I received from so many in those several days of my medical crisis.
I, too have recently plunged deeply into the medical system, and despite what we may say about Covid, etc. the medical professions are full of good people, wanting to serve their fellow man and trapped in a corrupt system and trying to make the best of it.
God smiled on you, fighting off sepsis, a systemic infection, is VERY TOUGH.
Beautiful. Hospitals can be scary places these days, but you had a guardian angel by your side.

I get wrapped around the axles so badly over President Trump because it was the Creator empowering him to show us that it was possible to save the Republic in 2016 that forced me to quit drinking.
I had no more excuses.
The following medically unassisted withdrawals resulted in a Religious experience I have mentioned several times here.
I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for him. I wouldn’t be around to take care of my family or my critters.
I feel as protective of him as I would my own Dad, and wish he would tighten the orbit of circulating voices that fill his day.
The enemy never stops trying to jam him up and by extension us, using every available angle. I know our Creator is Stronger than the enemy.
We all have to safeguard ourselves from daily negative influences and quit inviting them into our lives.
