It’s not either/or. He could have put the 5 foot ladder on top of the ac unit.
I find it odd that we are being directed towards the front of the buildings, where the local police sniper team members would have most likely parked their vehicles. Also most, if not all of the photos being shown of where the shooter may have gained access to the roof are at the front of the building. Yet, all of the witness and police officers who saw the shooter prior to the shooting, place him either at the rear of the buildings or on the side of the building facing the event.

All the shooter had to do was get on top of the air conditioner and then onto the shed roof. From the shed roof he could climb onto the roof of the building, two buildings down from where he fired the shots. He simply had to do was go across the adjoining roofs to reach his shooting location.
The question is how nobody saw him going from roof to roof.
This location would have been out of the sight line for both the Secret Service snipers and the local police snipers. It is also recessed, so folks at the event wouldn’t necessary notice him.

Roof access via the air conditioner/shed should have been noted by the Secret Service advance team and had been secured. If not, why didn’t someone take a walk around the building the day of the event and take note of this access point and secure it?
It would be nice to know where his car was parked in relationship to the buildings.

I have never understood the concept of “bad shot.” Unless the rifle needs to be corrected or something to that effect, I think anyone should be able to aim properly and pull the trigger properly.
I completely get it if we’re talking about people who can’t suppress a flinching type of reaction or something along the lines of not being comfortable with the weapon or the sound or the recoil. Otherwise shooting good is the easiest thing I can imagine.
Shooting is a skill, and like any other skill, requires a lot of practice to master.
It’s a lot more than pointing a gun ay something or someone and pulling the trigger.
The mechanics of shooting was drilled into me during many hours at Army ranges all over the world- BRASS:

I would imagine a young man in that position, on a hot roof, knowing he had been discovered, under immense pressure, intending to kill another human being, would have been suffering from a severe attack of buck fever. Under those conditions I think he did his part quite well. He didn’t miss because he flubbed the shot. He missed because his target moved. Accepting, of course, that he was indeed the shooter.
One statement said he was forced to leave the team because his shooting ability was so bad, it was considered dangerous.
Now THAT, is a bad shot.
Assuming he fired that shot.
That is not the usual patsy role.
Well, there is video of him in prone position, sighting down range, with glasses on, when shots start going off.
It appears that one shot hit the two civilians on the top row at the very back of the bleachers behind Trump.
Maybe he fired off that round?.
Or maybe it was fired from the water tower?
I would believe he fired those shots. It was done very sloppy. Also, as I understand the timeline story, when a cop peeked up at him and pointed the weapon, he started firing in haste. Also, the videos of people calling him out also seem to be closely followed by the initiation of gun fire. It was very much like a “now or never” type of reaction. And in a case like that? I can see how the third shot was a much bigger miss than the first two.
After firing the shots he put the gun down and moved a few feet to the right. Probably to get a clearer view of Trump and the surrounding ss agents. His firing position was hidden from the 2 roof top sniper teams by a tree. By moving right he was now exposed to one of the firing teams line of sight and the sniper immediately fired killing Tom boy. That is why the rifle is a few feet away from his dead body. His firing position was concealed from the two roof top sniper teams. You have to wonder if Tom boy was able to figured out this concealed firing position on his own or if he had some help.
Maybe it was luck to find a place where the sniper teams couldn’t see him until he moved and in the excitement after shooting he for got and exposed himself to get a better look. Or maybe he new he was a dead man anyway.
Some are saying the accurate shot was fired from the water tower down range. Anything to this?

Even a pro cannot account for last-moment motion of the target, while the bullet is in flight.
Were the windows in the building too low ? If not they could have shot from there.

What if the 20 year old never had a picture taken of himself for over 5 years of having a cell phone? A virtual impossibility? I don’t think the Fibbies are ever going to produce any traceable evidence of even who the shooter? Why did it take them less time than it took to remove Trump from the area for the FBI to take over the investigation of an attempted assassination of a Secret Service objective? It looked like he was moving people that were standing back there and prot shouldn’t have been there.
Three things stick out to me: 1) dad owned 20 guns and a bomb found in son’s car but no massive SWAT raid of the house?
2) Dad called cops on a 20 year old gone missing for a few hours? My 18 year old disappears on Saturdays all the time for hours. Why the concern?
3). If any of my kids were building a bomb, I would know. Bomb making materials were “found” at the house. Perhaps planted?

Sources told 11 Investigates that the Pennsylvania State Police requested Pittsburgh motorcycle officers to assist with former President Trump’s motorcade Saturday night from the airport in Allegheny County to Butler County and back again.
Pittsburgh sent 10 officers.
Four of them, as we exclusively reported Sunday afternoon, were hit by shrapnel when a gunman opened fire at the rally, killing one man, and wounding Trump and several others. The Pittsburgh motorcycle officers suffered only minor injuries and were treated at the scene. One later went to the hospital.
Video from CBS News shows those Pittsburgh officers, just minutes after they were hit with debris, in the stands helping some of the injured, even carrying one to safety. But two days after their heroic actions, two motorcycle unit supervisors were transferred out of the unit.
Sources told 11 Investigates the bureau claimed they never got permission to assist Trump.
The motorcycle supervisors claim they did get permission, according to sources.
And sources also said there were also concerns that some of those officers should have been available to help with the First Lady’s visit to Pittsburgh at the same time.
Sources said cycle units from nearby universities had to be called in to assist Pittsburgh Police with Jill Biden’s motorcade.
A Pittsburgh police spokesperson sent a statement to 11 Investigates.
“This was an administrative decision made by the Chief. Per the FOP [union] contract, I am unable to speak to the reasons behind the move as it involves personnel,” said spokesperson Cara Cruz.
The President of the Pittsburgh police officers’ union fired back in a statement to 11 Investigates. “In a time when we should be honoring the heroics of these officers, we’ve created some petty administrative investigation in the midst of a serious political race,” said Fraternal Order of Police President Bob Swartzwelder.
11 Investigates has also learned there are questions about the overtime hours put in by some of the cycle officers.
In the transfer memo, Police Chief Larry Scirotto did not list a reason for the moves, only stating it was “for the good of the bureau.”
The two cycle supervisors were reassigned, one to Zone 1 on the North Side and the other to Zone 3 in Allentown.

Seems to me, if the shot came from the water tower, President Trump would have to be facing it for the bullet to pass by clipping his right ear.

If you are a team “protecting” an asset, do you go inside a building where you are unable to maintain observation of the surrounding structures?
Look at what else is within that zone. It’s got a vast amount of surface area high points not the least of which is the water tower.
The “team” inside the building were probably the real shooters.
Personally, I find this diagram rather misleading – as though it is deliberately so.
The location of the shooter is wrong – as evidenced in a photo later down the thread and in videos on YT and various other sites that I have perused in recent days.
Shooting from the water tower, and missing, should have hit someone in the crowd in front of the stage?
There seems to me to be a ‘timeline’ AND ‘sightline’ problem with reference to all the shots.
I am also of the opinion that the shooter used the ridge capping as a rest for his rifle – whereas he should have also had a sandbag to act as a ‘steady’ to keep the rifle off the ridge capping (rifles do react to resting upon or against solid objects, when fired).
A comment within this post makes claim that a round passed through two people and also hit part of the bleacher – which, with a .223 or 5.56, would have to be a full jacket projectile not expanding very much when hitting flesh – and certainly not hitting bone or cartilage during its journey (This aspect needs a line of sight applied to it, as well).
There must have been people in the bleachers (to the right when viewing the photographic representation above) that should have been injured – that they apparently were not intrigues me greatly – as does that of the poor fireman at the opposite bleachers (so far off target if done by the shooter – or was he hit from the water tower – or elsewhere?).
But maybe I’m wrong on all counts…
Perhaps he wondered about at will unimpeded because the shooter was known to be somewhere else.
