Usha Chilukuri Vance, the wife of Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, quit her job as a corporate litigator at DNC-affiliated Munger, Tolles & Olson, within minutes of hearing that JD had been selected as President Trump’s Vice-President nominee and running mate. Usha Vance worked in Washington DC for the firm.
SAN FRANCISCO – […] Usha Vance confirmed that she will be stepping aside in a separate statement to SFGATE.
“In light of today’s news, I have resigned from my position at Munger, Tolles & Olson to focus on caring for our family,” she said. “I am forever grateful for the opportunities I’ve had at Munger and for the excellent colleagues and friends I’ve worked with over the years.”
[…] Usha worked as a litigator in the firm’s San Francisco and Washington, D.C., offices, where her practice mainly dealt with “complex litigation and appeals in a wide variety of sectors, including higher education, local government, entertainment, and technology, including semiconductors.” It also stated that she lives in Cincinnati with her husband and three children. According to India Today – “JD Vance, who was once a Trump critic, said he had the full support of his Indian-origin wife, Usha Chilukuri Vance, who was present at the convention.
[…] Usha attended Yale Law School, where she met her future husband, JD Vance, in 2013. They worked together to organise a discussion group on the subject of “social decline in white America”, The New York Times reported.
The two quickly bonded soon after, with JD Vance often referring to Usha as his “Yale spirit guide”. They got married in 2014 after graduating from Yale Law School.
Usha holds a BA in history from Yale University and an MPhil in early modern history from the University of Cambridge.
During her time at Yale, Usha served as the executive development editor of the Yale Law Journal and managing editor of the Yale Journal of Law and Technology. She participated in the Supreme Court Advocacy Clinic, the Media Freedom and Information Access Clinic and the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project, people.com reported.
JD Vance and Usha have had three children since their marriage in 2014 — two sons, Ewan and Vivek, and a daughter, Mirabel.
Usha has been instrumental in her husband’s political journey, often accompanying him to political events and providing guidance and support.
She has been involved in her husband’s political campaigns, including his successful Senate campaigns in 2016 and 2022. She has also been registered to vote as a Republican in Ohio since 2018. JD Vance has publicly acknowledged her influence, expressing gratitude for her role in shaping his decisions and opportunities. (read more)
JD Vance will likely lead the transition team for President Donald Trump, and it will be very useful for him to have Usha Chilukuri Vance beside him to help staff some of the more important legal positions around the office of the presidency.
From the descriptions of her legal endeavors in/around Washington DC, Usha Vance, likely knows some of the best legal minds available.
In fitting with the theme of the nomination, another San Francisco lawyer, Harmeet Dhillon, closed the night at the RNC with a Sikh prayer. WATCH:

I hope she picks trustworthy ones.
You kind of sound pretty sure she won’t.
Wish so many lawyers weren’t leftists.
There are a ton of conservative lawyers in large corporate law firms such as Munger, Torres et al. There are plenty of leftist lawyers at plaintiff’s personal injury law firms however. Stereotypes are not a good look
Glad to hear it. Back in the day I foolishly assumed they skewed right since they had to be fairly intelligent to even score well on the LSAT. However, I then met a few more lawyers, saw how the law schools were one of the institutions that had been marched through, heard a few speeches from recent grads, saw the pile-on to lawfare Trump etc etc etc.
“Stereotypes are not a good look,” is uncalled-for snarkiness.
.
The issue with lawyers at big law firms isn’t necessarily their private personal beliefs but the firm’s clients, ideology as well as conflict of interest.
.
Exactly. These “conservative” lawyers at big law firms are involved in a major way in the push to sterilize kids as part of transgender grooming. Their clients want them doing that kind of pro bono work, and they are only too happy to oblige. Any lawyer at a big firm opposing sterilization of kids would be run off fairly quickly.
The big law firms are politically connected. They have to be careful not to step on toes.
An excuse for mutilating children.
That used to be true. It’s not any longer. Large corporate firms are uniformly woke. There are some Larry Hogan type republicans in large corporate firms, and they are the “conservatives.” Anyone on our side gets shown the door. Just look at what happened to Paul Clement at Kirkland Ellis.
Larry Hogan is a pseudo-conservative chameleon. He leans whichever way at the time is most expedient for his benefit. His openly expressed anti-Trump disdain was the final big “tell” for those who didn’t pick up on it via his easy embrace of leftwing social issues.
His terms as MD governor were only marginally better for the state’s residents than any Leftwing Democrat. And it was a thin margin.
However, I’ve had 2 good friends who put themselves through law school, and decided just before their fourth year that they were losing their souls in the process.
They actually felt that they were very close to having their consciences go dead. They had ceased to see the law as an expression of moral righteousness, it was just a way to get money.
I think it’s designed to erase every last vestige of conscience in a person.
A nephew did two quarters at Stanford Law School and quit when he realized he would have to associate with people like his classmates for the rest of his life.
Law school is three years, not 4.
Medicine has turned out the same.
SF lawyers? Hardly a bastion of conservatism.
Agree. He’s being sarcastic.
I’m going to bet Vivek will be vetting any picks presented regardless of source. He at least appears to understand the existence and nature of the unelected establishment swamp.
It’s a sewer.
Not a swamp.
They are not even remotely the same thing.
One is filthy, has rats and cockroaches.
The other is pretty has snakes birds fish gators plants
Folks, get off the Vivek bandwagon. He’s a fraud. Do some research. He’s also not a natural born citizen, yet ran for President. This was revealed when he was running.
https://www.newsweek.com/vivek-ramaswamy-fraud-always-has-been-opinion-1823853
I wish our law schools were righteous and truthful as they taught the foundations of this nation’s Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Then we could consider that these instruments would likely be utilized properly when legislating.
Also, the congressmen could actually WRITE legislation rather than relying upon lobbyists who have gamed out their proposed legislation for greatest gain for the paying client.
Fantasy world of mine….
How do you take an oath to follow something; then argue that it’s wrong? Yet, that’s exactly what Ruth Bader Ginsburg did regarding the Constitution.
Most law school professors are the same. They see the U.S. as less than ideal and want it changed.
@sundance this is all Bizzaro World. So Usha is going to help put together PDJT’s legal team when he wins the White House? This sounds like Jeff Sessions and Jared Kushner 2.0. I don’t like how this is going. So basically Usha and JD will have the golden opportunity to install Deep State, Globalists, RINOS, and DemonRats into Trump’s Administration more easily then Jeff Sessions and Jared Kushner did in the first administration for #45?
I bet that isn’t what Mittens Romney thinks about Vance
According to the speculation of India Today.
Speculation? It is a list of facts – her biography – that can be vetted as to its accuracy. Oddly left out that she also taught in China: “Before entering law school, she taught American history as a Yale-China Teaching Fellow at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China.”
Do the Chinese teach American history frequently in their schools? Re: the Yale-China fellowship from the website:
“The Yale-China Fellowship is a transformative two years for both the Yale-China Fellows and the Chinese students and community members they interact with. Select Yale graduates are chosen to spend two years teaching in China, where they not only become familiar with China but also make China their home. During their two years, Fellows gain an in-depth understanding of themselves, China, and Chinese language and culture, resulting in great personal and professional growth.”
Vance was persuaded to write his Elegy (which may be more literal than one might think, if things keep going the way they are) by Amy Chua, author of the Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother. Interesting title, contrasted with elegy for heritage Americans. (source: Meet the woman who helped boost JD Vance from Ohio obscurity to ‘Hillbilly Elegy’ superstardom)
There will be Mike Davis, John Eastman, Jeff Clark, and several other good patriot lawyers on staff, running DOJ, etc.
You would think so. They won’t be enough or they may decide to stay in private practice.
Paul Ryan 2.0.., that worked out so well last time.
I swear, the republicans can screw up anything.
There will be as much opposition w/in the party as there will be on the dem side (and that will be 100%, count on it. Trump won’t get a Kleenex from the dems)
I can’t fully discount your theory, which is what your comment is. But here is another theory. What if the power is on Trump’s side. What if Trump is going to use these individuals to take out and then install more rational individuals INTO the deep state? Take Trump at face value, when he says he keeps his enemies always guessing. Take Trump also at face value when he states he loves this country. And when Trump said, when he came to Washington he didn’t know the players, but now he knows them all.
I hope you’re right, but I’m justifiably skeptical.
I’m afraid PDJT hasn’t learned his lesson and he basically opened the door to the RINOS like JD. Sundance has warned us as to why JD is not the ideal choice for VP especially because JD has the backing of Peter Thiel and Thiel’s friendship with Reid Hoffman. Maybe Trump knows all the players in D.C. now but he refuses to let them go and he invites them so that they can influence him and his administration like Judas Pence and Jared Kushner and the others did.
Thiel played a part in Trump’s first term. Trump’s ego blinds him.
A more likely theory is that Trump isn’t the white knight that people think he is. Look up the Stossel video on Trump’s failure to drain the swamp. Trump says he did in the video. But he didn’t. It actually grew.
How President Trump accomplished ANYTHING during his term in office was a miracle!
He was under gunfire and siege the whole time. Look at the good he accomplished.
So easy for someone to put his term in office under a microscope while he/she sits
in an armchair.
Have heard it said by many people that President Trump DID drain the swamp, that’s how we can now clearly see how filthy it really is.
What President Trump did not say was that he could get rid of all the swamp creatures once they are on full display.
That still needs to be done. . .
Exactly. The Zerohedge article on Vance says Vance is good friends with Don, Jr. Looks like Trump is following the bad recommendations of his children once again.
People who haven’t worked with (or against) lawyers from big law firms often do not understand the fact that it is entirely possible that Mrs. Vance may have had ZERO involvement in matters pertaining to the DNC-related litigation or advice given by other partners in the large firm. Where is the evidence for the supposition that she is a DNC hack simply because she works at a law firm that has DNC as one of its many clients? In my opinion and experience it’s pedestrian and juvenile to make broad assumptions without anything to tie her to the DNC work, whatever that is.
FWIW, I know people who work (or have worked) for overwhelmingly leftist companies in overwhelmingly leftist industries in overwhelmingly leftist cities, yet maintain their cover.
Yet, when you work for them… you contribute to and uphold their institution… are paid from their progress… and provide support to their values. It’s never good to have conflicting morals with one’s employer. Never good.
…yet on your own time time you use your pay to support your local and state conservative/republican apparatus while also earning enough to feed your family and pay your bills…in essence the reverse soros model.
That’s what I was forced to do before I retired from my large and even then very woke computer company.
I didn’t talk politics generally at work -but that was a decade ago. And as Bannon has frequently said, there are some weeks in which decades happen – and in those ten years there have been many such weeks – almost days now!
I was acquainted with several very conservative co-workers – we all quietly bonded…
Its what I do. For me, its how the leftists openly say their ignorant crap and we conservatives just go about our business but if they hear us talking, they either interrupt or go to HR and complain. Seen it too many times. HR always tells tge conservatives to be cautious of racist, sexist or anti-trans language, all while using the 1st to provide cover for the leftists.
Ridiculous.
Voluntarily assisting the blob and being forced to support thru mandatory taxes (coercion) are two different things.
On one you have a choice, on the other you do not.

She quit the job. Period.

“Its interesting how in a system dominated by old career politicians, poor boy gets to go to ivy league, fast tracked with millions of dollars investment from two main technocrats/trans humanists and before you know it, he is VP. With a memoir, and movie and whole package. If I didn’t know any better it would be sound like someone who is greased and groomed to be where he is.” zerohedge commenter Milansky
RNC upstages Trump VP announcement and installs a NeverTrumper whose DNC wife also a Yale install who wrote decisions for John Roberts to assist in the destruction of our republic, and conveniently is the offspring of India imports. Funny how the RNC pitches us rulers from India every election cycle. Nimrata, Jindal,Vivek et al
This time NeverTrumper Vance is installed the day after Blackrock stooge executes and maimed MAGA supporters on live TV, only narrowly missing blowing Trump’s head off with millions watching.
Sure Sure Sure this is Trumps pick. What MAGA needed was another groomed pompous eyeliner wearing Mittens character/puppet from the India tech and finance lobby to intensify the sucking sound of jobs and opportunity whipping out of America to India. Because what we need as a VP is a globalist puppet that called Trump Hitler and his supporters ignorant cretins.
Trump showed us voting is an illusion to manufacture consent.
Now Fix this
The Savage Horde descends. What’s the upside here?
None. I won’t vote for JD Vance. His Yale rhetoric got innocent Americans murdered and maimed. He can’t be repackaged. Don’t pitch another Politard from the Ivy league at us period.
Brother you’re sarcasm is warranted. DTjr is already as bad as Jared. 🤦♂️
I dunno, Chabad is really bad, unless you’re into mafia type stuff.
In what regard?
for the one hundred millionth time – Don JR is engaged to the ex Mrs. Gavin Newsome. Kimberly Guilfoyle’s nickname for him is Junior Mint – in reference to his wealth.
JD Vance is nothing more than a “frat boy” addition to a global establishment administration. We need a hell of a lot more ADULTS to run the damn government. Unless the goal is to run it into the ground.
Google two words: vivek soros
Vivek Ramaswampy took money from the Paul & Daisy Soros foundation (George’s brother) during the same year he filed a multi million dollar tax return. (He didn’t need the money.)
This is further GLOBALISTS nesting themselves within our government!!! WTH are we closing with a SIKH PRAYER in a CHRISTIAN NATION????!!!!!!!
Woo
I couldn’t agree with you more.
I’m trying real hard to process EVERYTHING from the last few days.
I’m perplexed and deeply troubled, deeply to my core.
The ONLY upside that I’m seeing if what Sundance eloquently described about getting Trump and MAGA over the finish line in Novemeber in a proceeding post. That’s it and all that I see.
NY biggest fear is that ‘they’ have reevaluated risking backlash and rebellion on a stolen election and decided to let Trump legitimately win, get into office and make another attempt on his life ala JFK.
That would be sending a message to the public and installing one of their own in one fatal swoop.
IDK, maybe Trump knows this and has a proverbial 5D chess move in place.
Just thinking out of the box of possibilities I have to ask myself to keep my sanity in it all:
Does Trump know this is as dangerous to himself and the fate of our nation and is just using Vance for the reasons that Sundance outlined to get elected?
And if so, does he have a backup plan for a replacement VP post election / inauguration that would include revelations on Vance that would force him to resign and then allow Trump to replace him with someone more MAGA trustworthy?
IDK, but the events and circumstances on everything since Saturday afternoon just has had my head reeling!!!!
BK I have come to your conclusion as well…after the assassination attempt they have decided that they just cannot overcome the cheat largely enough to have the American people believe it…with Vance in there they know now they have their insurance policy on the IC and deep state and globalists…I know with positive assurance DJT will win in November…that is a truism I woke up with this morning after I went to sleep very discouraged…the good news is that I believe DJT will be able to right the economy and we will have a major economic boom…the downside is I suspect the long term cleaning of the deep state is gone…I suspect topically we may see some changes, but I don’t see long term success anymore unfortunately…
The Tea Party and MAGA have become the UNIPARTY with Vance on board, sorry.
Trump will do only what they allow him to do.
The Train has left the station. AND it’s heading for the Rockies at full steam. We won’t survive. They will.
Sorry, I’m a hillbilly, deplorable, God fearing, American.
Have read that the Tea Party was controlled. That’s why it was pretty unsuccessful. The question was – whether it had been hijacked or whether is was astroturfing from the start. The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves.
Have also heard that the Tea Party movement was a distraction from the money printing to save the Wall Street banks.
The Tea Party was sabotaged by the Establishment Uniparty.
That was clearly outlined by Sundance.
The archives here can provide more light on that.
It was hijacked. In the early days, it was grass roots. By the time Glenn Beck and Ted Cruz jointed in, the hijack was complete. Tea Party was pissed the banks were saved from their gambling debts.
I’m with you on this thought.
I think there’s only one way to look at things now.
We’ve been looking for the enemy for some time now. We’ve finally found him. We’re surrounded. That simplifies things.
Chesty Puller
What other choice do we have?
We fall into the trap of thinking these are the worst of times, the most desperate and evil. Having read some history, and studied the Bible quite a bit, I remind myself that these are just…times. Mankind, and good people, have been here, and worse, before.
Sorry for the delayed response.
I agree. I’m just a little in retrograde contemplation for now.
Regroup so to speak.
You’re right though. We are surrounded and have been a long time. I’ve always known that. It’s just I’m trying to adjust to recent events.
FYI – Sundance, whether intentional or ‘inspired,’ is sending messages. Discern and reconcile. It’s there!
I’ll always be there!
BTW, I saw you Vance comment and link. Still evaluating.
Thanks for bringing it to everyone’s attention.
And after PDJT was saved by God.
This is the future of the Republican Party?
The Lord moves in mysterious ways.
Kushner and Ivanka’s child’s first language learned was Chinese. There’s audio/video of the daughter singing for Xi.
Vance and Don, Jr are good friends. I think Jr played a big part in this. And Trump has no discernment for his kids.
Vivek was already making a very large income when he took the Soros money. Why even go to law school? It doesn’t make sense.
Vivek is also a fraud.
https://www.newsweek.com/vivek-ramaswamy-fraud-always-has-been-opinion-1823853
“Why even go to law school? It doesn’t make sense.”
It makes sense if one is trying to build up their CV into one that is more befitting of a national political candidate. Vivek had/has ambitions….as do most all the “young globalists” helped / trained by Soros, Schwab & associates.
please, no more Ivanka
Have heard that neither Ivanka or Jared will be part of the administration. Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll get Don, Jr.
Flash from the past. JD Vance on the Administrative State…
Thank You TM10! Very encouraging. Interview sounds like it occurred before POTUS Trump announced his run for 2024 so Vance was not playing for VP interview cameras.
This and Lindsay Graham trying to prevent his selection as VP is encouraging indeed.
And Rupert Murdoch pushing for Burgum..
And we should always ask the TRILLION DOLLAR QUESTION:
“Replace them…. with what?“
Since the problem has been being able to get rid of them, then that would be real progress. Opens up the opportunity to ask if they need to be replaced at all.
Patriots.
It’s true. The judiciary ruling on a matter within the executive is overstepping its authority. Now they might make some ruling that it violates labor law or some such, but I’m not sure it applies. I guess that would be something for SCOTUS to decide but there is always this phrase we hear from resigned and fired executive branch employees that goes like “I work at the pleasure of the President of the United States.” There must be something to that continuous use of that phrasing.
Did you catch this? Vance said Trump “will win by margins such” that he will be President in January of 2025.
HE KNOWS THEY CHEATED IN 2020.
That is why he is the pick.
I think Vance may have also publicly affirmed that it was a stolen election – and early enough not to have foreseen this week’s events.
But can’t remember for sure. Will keep an eye out for that receipt, if it exists.
That would be one good sign if he did – and when. I’ve always considered it one of the major signs of a likely true MAGA individual.
It’s the reason I’ve always liked Kari Lake – she makes NO bones about the steal because she’s fought it so hard herself.
The UNIPARTY has succeeded; Vance is in, of course the election will be fair 2025.
We should seize the administrative state for our own purposes.
Perhaps I am being nitpicky, but language choice is as important as the idea behind it.
Not necessary to seize anything when one has authority over it.
What is the purpose that you are not expressing?
It sounds to me like the attitude of someone who might be contemplating actions that are incorrect in intent – possbile double speak..
It sounds very different from:
The government has grown beyond its proper boundaries, creating a drag on the citizens’ wallets and the overall economy. It has become necessary to bring it back into it’s proper relation to our Constitution and our nation’s needs. We are going to be doing some downsizing across the board as well as…..(fill in the blank). my words
UNIPARTY speak. That’s what it is.
That’s pure pandering. Sure it sounds good. We all know it will never happen. That’s the same stuff Vivek, The Fraud said.
Vivek is also a fraud.
https://www.newsweek.com/vivek-ramaswamy-fraud-always-has-been-opinion-1823853
Hopefully this was an expose by PDT 4 all to see!
I love Donald Trump …… but where does he find these people?
Vance is a friend of DTjr. and Tucker Carlson, and backed by super billionaires Theil and Musk.
It might work out. But why do we continue to roll the dice, with so many good MAGA candidates for every position available?
I hope to see as many of them in the cabinet and other positions as possible.
Yalie Van Jones says Yalie Vance is “dangerous” and a “virus.” So if self avowed communist Jones is unhinged? about President Trump’s pick could be a a fight fire with fire move by PT.
It’s Our only hope.
But I fear if Trump fell for Vance, he’s lost in the UNIPARTY forest.
Vance is DeSantis/Jeb 2.0, Pence in a Hindu dress, McCain hiding behind a uniform and calls himself a Hillbilly……..God Bless the real hillbillies. A Thiel/Bush acolyte to boot!
AND he brings a left leaning lawyer wife to investigate and ‘clean up’ the ‘Protection Agencies’………what could go wrong. PS she’s John Robert’s right hand.
Trump will only be allowed to do what they let him do, the swamp will get deeper I fear, but camouflaged.
They’re all extremely rich. And if Thiel doesn’t scare the crap out of you, you haven’t been keeping up. Don’t trust Musk.
I am from India myself and even I am not comfortable knowing that she works for a law firm that does business with the DNC.
Lawyers.. have literally destroyed your country.
I had very little idea that Vance was a Never Trumper until I read Sundance … There is no question that you have to watch him very closely even if he claims to have turned around from his TDS.
I am reminded of Bismarck’s quote about how God helps fools, drunks and America.. .it isn’t Trump alone but America needs divine intervention at this point
Given the attempted assassination of President Trump this week, I want to take a moment to address the JD Vance oppo head on with the hopes that people will see JD’s past remarks and his current record as symbolic of what President Trump is trying to accomplish after his near death experience:
UNITY
Yes, @JDVance1 did say terrible things about President Trump and he didn’t vote for Trump in 2016.
He called Trump Hitler and called Trump supporters idiots.
Half the country has done the same and we want to convince those people to vote for Trump in 2024 because we need to heal the nation with TRUTH.
JD was a Trump hater blinded by the lies about President Trump, but JD came to his senses and is now a fierce Trump advocate.
I have personally gotten to know JD Vance and had him on my show and I can say he is the real deal.
Being a leader means admitting when you are wrong. I asked JD privately once how MAGA could trust him given his previous remarks. He didn’t deny what he said, but rather embraced that he was wrong and said he has come to see Donald Trump as the best leader for our nation.
I’m a zero bullshit person and so I was very grateful JD owned it when I asked him and I believe him when he says he’s a true Trump ally.
As a Senator, JD Vance has proven himself to be one of the few GOP Senators to show up for President Trump when it matters. When Democrats tried taking Trump off the ballot in Colorado, JD was 1 of 3 GOP senators to show up outside of SCOTUS to support Trump. @LoomerUnleashed caught it on camera and that day, JD earned my respect for doing what none of his colleagues wanted to do: SHOW UP.
It took a former Trump hater to fight for Trump in front of SCOTUS, but GOP Senators who claimed to be with Trump since 2016 didn’t even show up.
That really touches me.
JD Vance will never be able to erase the nasty things he said about Donald Trump in the past, but his actions in the Senate have shown that he is a true Trump advocate and ally.
My hope is that all of the Trump haters who have now seen the light can come together with the Trump loyalists so we can UNIFY our country.
I don’t like a lot of what JD has said in the past, but I know he has seen the light and he’s been fighting hard for President Trump.
As someone who often ATTACKS ATTACKS ATTACKS Trump’s critics, I am going to look past all of JD’s previous remarks and do all I can to help support the Trump-Vance ticket for the sake of UNITY.
I think picking a VP who was once a Trump hater is actually symbolic of President Trump’s mission to UNITE AMERICA.
JD Vance has my support.
I won’t forget what he has said about President Trump, but I am going to support him because he has admitted he was wrong about Trump and that’s the best we can do. We can admit when we are wrong and strive to do better.
I think the campaign should use this messaging as well. What better way to unite the country than to have a former Trump hater on the ticket with Trump as a fierce defender?
I actually think it’s a beautiful thing to see JD’s political transformation over the last 8 years and my hope is that the country can transform as well.
I hope those of you who are attacking JD Vance can join me in looking forward to the future and giving the Senator full support as he campaigns with President Trump.
If I can do it, you can do it!
UNITE AMERICA!
TRUMP VANCE 2024!
#TrumpVance2024
~ Laura Loomer
Maybe Laura can put that on a tee shirt and sell it for $70 next to her gold bars.
Yeah, Laura said it so….
Since the announcement I have see regulars here come down hard on other regulars for now beings hesitant about voting Trump because of Vance. As we should be with Vance’s past and the connections he holds- Thiel, his wife, etc.
How quickly people do what they claim the other side does (blindly follow) all because Trump spoke and chose.
Yeah Trump picked him. Vance has got baggage and red flags everywhere. We have been burned before, you either learn or keep falling victim.
We will see if Vance is truly sincere or a really good Brutus.
I’ve been seeing lots of cross posts to these personalities which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but when you check out their sites it’s always pushing some merchandise and seemingly trying to always capitalize on any new event such as the assassination attempt on Trump. I don’t think it’s a secret that there lots of grifters trying to financially take advantage of conservative minded folks. Partly why I mostly only read CTH because there’s no spamming products or anything.
I also find it comical how there are those that seem to take great offense to anyone who questions or offers a different perspective on anything Trump related. You’d think with how much Sundance talks about pretending that people would be more comfortable with reading different perspectives. You can still support Trump and not agree with every decision he or his circle makes. Most leaders I’ve talked to constantly say they don’t want a yes man advising them because you will inevitably have problems. You have to challenge and think through things critically to get to the best outcome. It definitely doesn’t make you a troll or whatever is usually posted when the clique disagrees with your statement..
Lucianne is on the verge of ruining that wonderful site with pop ups and ads. Especially annoying with a sound blaring ad that you don’t click on. Another reason I just sent a modest donation to this site. Then there’s aggregate CFP that loves to link stories to Axios, AP, MSNBC., etc.. Hate that.
You made a small point; We are not jumping of the Trump Train, but We sure are questioning it’s route and speed.
Trump giving into the UNIPARTY may tie his hands completely and he’s on their tracks now.
Well stated.
Saul of Tarsus was a bad dude…
Trust God. Fear not.
I was thinking the same thing. If we only accept those who were with Trump from the beginning, he gets fewer votes than Kamala. I think one of Trump’s greatest accomplishments is convincing people that he is leading the country forward in the right direction. Look at how he has taken over the Republican party. Compare his reception yesterday to Mitch speaking for Kentucky in the nomination process. If you want 100 million real votes, you have to actually change minds.
Perhaps we should consider those who are the most unhappy about J.D. Vance on the ticket.
From today’s Politico Playbook :
But policy-wise, picking Vance could have more sweeping implications for the GOP. Elevating the senator to Trumpism’s heir apparent is an enormous defeat for the pre-Trump Republican Party, especially its internationalist wing. Vance is stridently opposed to sending more aid to Ukraine. Sen. LINDSEY GRAHAM (R-S.C.), Senate Minority Leader MITCH MCCONNELL, Ukrainian President VOLODYMYR ZELENSKYY and our European allies are among the biggest losers when it comes to Trump’s choice. (Graham reportedly lobbied Trump not to pick Vance.) Meanwhile, as our colleague Olivia Beavers told us after surveying a number of House members here, the Freedom Caucus is ecstatic about Vance.
A punch in the face to GOP elite – they hate Vance.
Now, I understand why Trump chose Vance. The first task is to kick the WEF/globalist/UN/NATO faction out of power. We should not be sending money to Ukraine to defend the EU, if the EU wants Russia out of Ukraine, let them do their own dirty work. We should not be sending money to Israel either, but that is a totally different topic since we have contracts with them to supply them with ammunition for weapon systems they bought from us. Vance is a lance to the international grift of the Senators (both the red and the blue).
Trump says he honors, respects and expects loyalty. Turns out Vance is good friends with Don, Jr. Did Trump just blindly listen to Don, Jr. like he did with Ivanka and Jared? That’s what people are worried about. Trump’s judgement and decisions have been horrendous. They just want evidence that he has learned his lesson. He hasn’t.
By the way, Trump is the record holder for the largest debt increase in 4 years. He also grew the swamp.
That debt increase came entirely from the Plandemic. Before that, the economy was booming and defecits were decreasing.
And Trump didn’t grow the swamp.
This is the umpteenth time you’ve stated his judgments and decisions have been horrendous.
But you fail to state that the entire machinery of the government, media, and multinationals all conspired and put the full force of their efforts on taking him down and out but yet he is still standing and fighting for us.
Tell us how he could have done better, or anyone else could have, given those circumstances, please.
You nailed it!
I do trust God. All others pay cash – Including those who end a prayerful night with a Sikh prayer.
India has done such a bang up job taking care of it’s people – especially it’s Christians…/s
God wins. It’s His Plan that is executed. I’m going to enjoy the ride.
The RNC kicked off its first day with a reality star known for “SlutWalk” and a prayer to the god Waheguru
https://notthebee.com/article/rnc-platforms-porn-star-founder-of-slut-walk-and-a-prayer-to-a-pagan-god-at-the-convention
This is not a good look. Poor choices are poor choices.
So was Jehu! “He was not a gentle man. He was rough and coarse. He had been known as a leader but a leader whose authority rested entirely outside the realm of politics or civil government. He was a warrior, a military commander, a fighter, confrontational, contentious, and combative. He could be ruthless and brutal.” The Paradigm-Jonathan Cahn. And like Saul of Tarsus God used Jehu. Jehu got rid of the evil King Ahab and his wife Jezebel.
Drive like Jehu…
It’s a good parallel. But only if Vance is sincere with his turn about.
“…I have see regulars here come down hard on other regulars for now beings hesitant about voting Trump because of Vance. As we should be…”
Well, I’d be one of those old-timers who thinks it’s ridiculous to be “hesitant” to vote Trump now. Despite the reasons to be skeptical of Vance, PDJT is still the ONLY choice. If you do not vote for him, you are basically voting to throw our country away.
While personally disappointed by the Vance selection, I nonetheless put my full support behind President Trump. That does NOT mean that I’m following blindly.
Thank you Peoria.
One can be 100% suspicious of Vance and keep learning from sundance, and others here, any and all solid reasons why the suspicion is so strong.
Anyone is also obviously, free to complain about PDJT’s choices.
(Because of the respect I have for PDJT, I usually dismiss any such complaints that are dressed up in personal snark against him rather than solid actual arguments why he’s making mistakes. If a commenter wants attention, please leave out that aspect. I do the same for anyone who snarks at sundance himself.)
But to me, considering not voting for PDJT as of today is simply ridiculous. It’s the point at which I immediately suspect the commenter of being a RolCon. Sometimes I want to ask, “Is that you, Mittens?”
Just a few thoughts on how things appear…
PJ, you’re not attacking people. Big difference. You, based on my observations, engage in conversation not attacks.
Conversation around Vance is what is needed because of the red flags.
I support Trump, will more than likely vote for him; however, it’s on hold until Vance proves himself (I know it will only be rhetoric) by being vocal and pushing back against the leftist BS.
THIS^. Since when are we not allowed to question? Since when are we not allowed to use our critical thinking skills? I have been getting SLAMMED on X and other places for daring to question DJT as if he is now some type of martyr? Is this what MAGA has become? Am I not allowed to look at this never trumper who called DJT HILTER with a side glance? What the actual F is happening? As for LL I am very disppointed in her…she is a self professed Trump loyalist who has spent so much time looking into anyone that comes close to him, but yet not one word about Vance’s funding? globalist ties? No, I am not a MAGA sheep. Of course I will vote for DJT but I will not allow myself to be bullied and told to get in line behind someone I suspect is just a better put together repackaged RDS/Judas Pence Sea Isle puppet
TY, my sentiments exactly.
Don’t lump me in with you.
I will endure whatever is necessary to vote for Donald Trump. I have never wavered an inch.
I am rightly disappointed in the VP choice.
Then, are you a sheep? Because that’s what people here call the left when they blindly follow. Or is it different now?
So many glass houses have been shattered over the last two days; throwing stones in glass houses is dangerous, as they always end up crashing around you.
People need more mirrors and fewer glass houses with stones being thrown.
The left/globalists: Free Palestine. Trans Rights. Barrack the messiah…<chanted by millions in unison>
Treepers: Look at those sheep and fools.
Trump picks JD Vance (Vance who has all kinds of red flags as discussed here)
Some Treepers: Vance VANCE VANCE VANCE!!!!! <droool>
Some other Treeprs: Umm, hey people, um, this guy Vance, umm, remember…I think I will be hesitant.
Some Treepers again: Heritics!
For Pete’s sake….
It’s either good to blindly follow and just go along or it makes you a sheep; it doesn’t change because you support Trump or BHO , or anyone else.
How many red herrings can you fling at once?
Discernment, my dear. Simple discernment. Some of us were born with it.
Thank you Laura.
I was mildly upset at the JD Vance announcement, and my brilliant wife told me the exact same thing you just stated.
Unity.
PDJT mantra right now is unity. Bring the country back together. He is leading right now by doing. Showing he can work with all types. Does this mean he is unaware? Not all. He has a close eye on all around him.
Many here would do well to emulate President Trumps actions.
“Unity” is social conditioning. Don’t fall for it. Who would be against unity? You should show unity and allow pregnant mothers to abort their babies. Oh, you disagree? You aren’t displaying “unity”. -10 on your social credit score.
Saul / Paul on the road to Damascus moment.
Thank you Laura. I have been on the Trump train since the escalator ride. Unlike Vance, I knew a great deal about DJT already as I grew up in NYC as he and his wife Ivana were frequently in the news about their various efforts, accomplishments, engagements and interviews. Prepared me well for when the nasty false arrows started flying as I could easily spot the lies about Trump and frankly he was talking about some of his same policy visions for the US 30 years ago.
The more I read about Vance’s evolution, the more I am encouraged. That said, NOTHING will stop me from voting for POTUS Trump a third time.
Love what you wrote! You embody the open mind, and positive energy I just posted about. Thank you. If My President picked JD Vance I’m all in. Like you I can rattle off the positives about JD.
Long ago influenced by neocon sites like Townhall I was not all in. CTH changed that when I discovered it 9 years ago. Viewpoints change
Many of us were lost in an inexplicable uniparty universe until we found CTH.
I even thought Jonah Goldberg was a wise man!
Whatever Loomer. Wow, never thought I’d have to type that..
The only ‘Unity’ possible in DC is THE UNIPARTY……..look where that’s got US this century!
I fear you’re looking for the unicorn; I want Trump as the lion or not at all.
I know plenty of people who dislike Trump. They find him offensive. They don’t call him “Hitler”, which is a loaded term intended to damage his reputation.
Ok I get all this stuff about JD Vance – I really did not want this choice – I liked Hageman.
That being said here were are hoping vance will be “ok” once a never Trumper… the whole bit…
But then I think how are we going to win this..How many people from the other side will now be voting for President Trump?
are we not to trust them as well?
it’s all i have to make this work in my head…
One of the things MAGA redpilling teaches is that politics requires a citizen to study and give consideration. Forever and ever.
Can’t phone it in anymore – if anyone here ever did…
Love Hageman!
This looks like a deliberate move on Trump’s part to do two things. Vance cuts the people who want to fund Ukraine for grift for the benefit of the EU at the knees. Vance brings some never Trumpers to the table. He brings some healing to the GOP, which is still about half full of RINOs. This is not about going along with the WEF/UN/globalist/woke/unlimited immigration of the Democrat party.
The left is already starting their narrative on Vance’s previous neverTrumpism (Politico article yesterday started the engine).
It will be a yuuuuge blitz and the message will reach the entire country, all sides. Buckle up.
J. D. Vance can, and will turn his early Ant-Trumpism into a big positive. It won’t be difficult. Are we supposed to toss out anyone who once fell for the Leftist narrative and recovered from that? Doesn’t make much sense to me. If McConnell, Cornyn, Thane hate Vance — that’s a big plus. These Establishment UniParty types have to go.
Yes, he’s a dagger to their grift.
I don’t like Vance. Have no issue with someone not liking Trump in 2016. But Vance got media attention and came across as a rabid member of The View when discussing Trump.
This is getting worse by the minute
FUBAR
This right here.
Tired of “let’s replace one person with someone else…who’s worse!”
Karen Pence did not have these kinds of connections, unless I missed something? Both the Vances appear to have way bigger red flags than the last duo Trump chose.
For everyone who says Trump needed Silicon Valley…why? He doesn’t need their money and he’s spent the last four plus years banned from social medias. He’s done fine. How do this benefit regular citizens?
There are two ways to win a war. Kill your enemies or make them your friends. What do you try first?
Kill your enemies. I watched twenty years of “nation building” and “making friends” in the sandbox. The only result to that was that the men I loved came home under flags.
This is war. Dead men don’t stab you in the back. I’ve had enough of this coddling, unity BS. The “go along to get along” mentality is destroying this country.
Two very different things. USA is not very good at the empire thing. Alexander the Great knew how to do that. DJT wants to be President of one nation, and to convince other independent nations that it is in their best interest to be our friends.
How do we get we the people to sign on to that vision for America? Convince one people at a time.
You do not change the mind of a zealot whose view for the country is diametrically opposed to you.
True enough. But when people who did not see your position realize that they have been lied to, they can change their minds.
And, a whole lot of Never Trumpers and Democrats have realized that the DNC, cabinet and administration of Biden have been pushing wheel barrels of lies in their direction. Still some will persist in believing, others, will be wondering who to vote for come November.
Better to be friends, with a business understanding, for sure. They are willing to kill Trump and he wants to succeed, not quit.
You win where you can but we can’t expect to get everything we want.
Well, maybe her lack of connections should have been the red flag.
The fact is Biden and Co. have allowed a lot of Indians to exploit our legal immigration system (see how many H1b visa holders are working front desks at hotels instead of the tech jobs they applied for). Despite this, many are conservative. It makes sense to court that voting bloc.
Now as Christians, we need to share the gospel of the one, true God. I’m glad we do not have Harmeet Dillon as our GOP chair — her Sikh chanting was weird (and demonic, of course).
That is a bigoted statement and uncalled for.
Agreed- but they’re entitled to it.
I agree about the H1 abuse…it’s over the top- Americans deserve those jobs first- we have the qualified people. If we didn’t bring in people- but we do, so it needs to stop. America and Americans first.
Second- yes, we are a Christian nation with the freedom of religion- so, yes, Sikh prayers are welcome as are the Muslim ones.
Different religions doesn’t = different mores and values…Or do I need to pull out Catholics and Christians who align behind all the global agenda- just look at all the churches with Pride flags flying.
Absolutely. Much that is not godly is carried out in this world by “good” Christians. His spirit moves among us all and goes not where needed but where wanted. “By their fruits shall you know them.”
If that is bigoted, what about the statement that anyone who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him?
So pointing out that giving jobs to foreigners over heritage Americans that are qualified, and making an astute observation that the political move is possibly designed to curry favor with a voting block segment is bigoted???
The Truth has no agenda.
I would assume the part of Tango268’s statement that BonnieBlue found bigoted is “I’m glad glad we do not have Harmeet Dillon as our GOP chair – her Sikh chanting was weird.”
If there are any Sikhs that read the Conservative Treehouse, I’m not sure if they will continue to. At the very least, I’m not sure they will be inclined to engage in the comments. If correct, and hopefully I’m wrong, this is sad.
Nope. You skipped over the bigoted part.
“her Sikh chanting was weird (and demonic, of course).”
Jesus said “I am the way, the truth….” He did not say, “I am one of the ways, one version of truth…” nor in the common parlance “your truth” or “my truth”.
If one believes the Bible, anything that is not of God is of the devil. Sikh chanting is not of the God of the Bible. You may find that offensive but it is not bigoted to say so.
I didn’t skip over anything.
And I addressed exactly what you’re splaining on.
You did not understand which part BonnieBlue said was bigoted.
The irony is she shoved off her Indian name but then flaunts her heritage when she thinks it will get her bonus points.
Haley pretending to be with Vance, desperate to get her foot in the door.
Perfect picture of JD Vance and his fake happy face at the convention ; )
I read you loud and clear.
I did not perceive his happy face as being fake, I had the impression he was thrilled to be selected VP and full of happiness over his own achievement of a stepping stone to his ultimate aspiration of POTUS.
If some don’t know there is a movie about JD Vance “Hillbilly Elegy” .
We saw it a couple years ago. Watched it again last night.
A way to feel you know the guy better…
Wonderful story.
Really, a movie? And who funded that?
Uh, the popularity of his memoir, Hillbilly Elegy.
Besides reading Vance’s drafts, Chua introduced him to her own literary agent, Tina Bennett. In the “Acknowledgments” section of “Hillbilly Elegy,” Vance thanked both Bennett and Chua for their support.
“Besides Tina, the person who deserves the most credit for this book’s existence is Amy Chua, my Yale contracts professor, who convinced me that both my life and the conclusions I drew from it were worth putting down on paper,” Vance wrote.
Chua was also a huge cheerleader for Vance’s book, which she helped to promote.
“When the book first came out, she probably emailed every single television producer and personality in the United States of America,” Vance told The Atlantic in 2017.
I believe PDJT,s Life was saved by the almighty. The RNC ends with something he despises. WOW. Does anyone else think this is pure EVIL.
What did it end with that he despises?
Praying to a false God. Thou shall have no other God before me.
A lovely and brilliant couple.
JD’s father abandoned him. Based on what his mother was, I can understand the father leaving. A father can try to get custody but it’s generally futile and exceedingly costly in every way imaginable, and in the end all of the effort leads to more child support and less access to the child while the government DEFENDS its decisions no matter how awful the results.
Love how you let JDs daddy off the hook for abandoning his child.
I can’t speak for the particular set of circumstances with JD’s father and mother’s relationship and the alleged ‘abandonment,’ but things sometimes are not the way they appear.
Many years ago, a cousin of mine and his wife had issues. Thru divorced over her infidelity and a host of other issues. She repeatedly bashed him, made false allegations, had him locked up multiple times on lies or BS.
The children grew up without their father, but he never stopped supporting them financially to the best of his ability, nor bad mouthed the mother in front of them.
After the children got grown and went to college and work, the father let them approach him at their own pace.
After awhile, the children realized what their mother had done to him without him ever revealing a single thing one time.
Those children are now extremely loyal to him and love him much. Moreover, they understand and forgive him for not being there during their teenage years.
I can’t say this is JD’s situation but there are circumstances with the mother that could be construed something close to that.
In fact, I know a few other men with similar, but not as severe, issues as I just described.
Never judge a man on what others say or what events seem to indicate in real time. Sometimes, there is more to the story than meets the eye.
Yep.
Another Mike Pence?
My concern is that J. D. Vance is another Barrack Obama or Bill Clinton.
Trump 2024.
By the grace of God, JD Vance may be a very hard working leader promoting the work of government to “punish bad conduct and protect those who do what is good.” The problem is that many politicians “call evil good and good evil,” and corrupt courts assist them. This is not hearsay because politicians reveal this in both their words and actions. The various religions define good and evil very differently from the Christian Scriptures and these contradictory views cannot be integrated. Even as I write this, there are Christians in India being horrifically persecuted by Hindus – yes it is not just in Muslim and Communist countries where there is vicious persecution but also in India. The media are largely silent about this.
This is where I see a problem with JD Vance. He has professed to be a Christian and apparently joined the Catholic Church yet he has ignored the plain teaching of the Scriptures on marriage. Paul does not mince his words:
“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial (the opponent of God)? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols?” 2 Corinthians 6:14-16
No country has or can have a Christian government but we should demand that politicians be honest about being a Christian or not. They should also recognize that the precepts and teachings of the Christian Scriptures have had an enormous impact in Western countries for good and cannot be ignored in politics and government.
I hope and pray that JD Vance and his wife will both come to understand and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that they will seek to honour God first in the opportunity they may soon have.
Amen!
Yes, the Malabar region of India has been the site of much Christian persecution in India.
I don’t like this. DC is turning into a foreign country.
We need more George Washington and less Hindu royalty.
“I don’t like this. DC is turning into a foreign country”. So is your local hospital, customer service call centers, and the lists goes on.
Yale university has long been a well-known and recognized hotbed of Deep State indoctrination. Both Vance and his wife are graduates from it’s law school.
Sundance has also pointed out Vance’s past and his connections to and support from the Sea Island vulture capitalists, the same snakes behind Ron DeSantis.
Prudence, logic, and wisdom…gained from hard learned lessons, such as the last VP pick….to say nothing of the freedoms and $trillions$ at stake…DEMAND a cautious skepticism of JD Vance and his wife.
Anyone saying otherwise…here… should be treated with that exact same skepticism, if only because blind acceptance of Vance would be inarguable proof that such people have failed to learn from what has already occurred over the past 8 years.
The old saying, “Trust, but verify”, is dead. If nothing else, it was murdered by the Secret Service this past Saturday, and it is only by the merciful hand of God himself our lion is still alive.
We saw that when the most critical time came, Mike Pence plunged his knife into PDJT’s back, but precious few (if any) believed he could or would do such a thing when PDJT picked him as his VP running mate.
I, for one, will never make that mistake again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice?
Not. Gonna. Happen.
I will be delighted and relieved to have JD Vance PROVE my hard-learned skepticism unnecessary. But he has to EARN that, and he has not yet been tested in any meaningful way. Actions speak louder than words, and “by their fruits ye shall know them”.
We shall see what fruits Vance will bring, just as we did with Pence.
This. I’ll be voting for DJT, Vance is just an untrusted include who is going to have to prove his loyalty, trustworthiness and value every day for a couple years before I’ll even consider giving him the benefit of doubt.
Guilty until proven innocent. Been burned too many times.
I have no problem with this viewpoint at all.
I will be watching too. I watched Ron! for months and months before I saw fully that sundance was right about him.
The good news is that they always expose themselves eventually. And Vance’s personality will probably lead to mercifully early mistakes – if he makes them.
Only for me it was years…
I am curious about what this conversation would look like had the choice been Marco Rubio who did not go to Yale Law School.
I would be too busy vomiting to have a conversation.
His various evolutions are the sign of a malleable mind. This is one potential attack vector.
For what it’s worth, PDJT has had a few evolutions himself – always in the right direction.
The thing to avoid and look for is devolution!
I think you make a good point. However, PDJT showed a very long term pattern of MAGA thinking. Vance gives an appearance of being manufactured and his rise has been comparatively meteoric. I guess we just have to wait and see.
I have a bad vibe about Trump’s V. P. pick in J. D. Vance. Another Ohio legislator? After Mike Pence, I would have at least looked to another state.
Trump 2024.
Your concern is valid, but Judas was from Indiana.
Yeah, my wife reminded me. I f’d up.
Trump 2024.
Pence was from Indiana
Yeah, I f’d up.
Trump 2024.
Judas Pence is from Indiana but I get your point.
See above, and yes, I f’d up.
Trump 2024.
Pence was Indiana i believe.
Pence is from Indiana.
Ohio, Indiana? What’s the difference?!
Here in TN, a buckeye is a worthless nut – and who knows what a hoosier is? 😉
Still, this is the United States – and we need them to win in November.
As a lifelong Buckeye I have to ask you Scott to reconsider your inconsiderate comment
Between “30 minutes on the roof,” 2-3 different images of the shooter in what appears to be ever changing attire of said shooter, Vance as the pick, the revelation of Vamce’s wife’s background, and Dhillon performing a Sikh prayer to a mostly Christian audience, I don’t what to think, much less say.
I don’t like any of it!
well, strategically speaking, we have a huge Indian population in this country
Who just happen to be the highest income earners in the country, thanks to their monopoly on parts of the health care industry. The most devious and arrogant physicians I ever worked with were Indian. Ugh.
And preference for hiring via their H1B status- taking American jobs from Americans. I mentioned if we didn’t have qualified Americans, but we do. I see many people being ousted here in CT for H1B transfers. My town is full of them.
Interestingly, I know a few people passed over for an Indian H1B Visa holder—-they hired the H1B guy with less experience and less education ….but paid him more- the guy lives in what is now a $1 million plus home (850k-ish when he moved in)…
It blew my mind…but then I was told (I don’t know how true; I haven’t looked into it, because it matters not, I won’t stop it) that the companies can do that because the government reimburses them for every H1B Visa person hired as well as a tax credit.
American firms being paid to hire non-Americans, taking jobs from Americans.
It’s true. There is big business in H1Bs.
What does that have to do with all of the other anomalies I addressed?
If you’re focusing on the Dhillon thing, Sihks are minority in predominantly Hindu India.
but seem to have populated the executive branch/tech at a higher rate than their pop lately (not withstanding they incredibly bright &motivated–see Spelling bee). I’ve seen a lot of Indian-made products enter national retailers lately, too. Mango wood is not as strong as oak, etc. Would love to hear some theories on the sudden ascension?
Dark Sundance is giving me chills.
He got the call.
Harmeet the Duplicitous, who conspired with Mike Davis to change the CA GOP Rules last year, so that complex rule changes would end up taking pledged Trump delegates, and awarding them to another candidate.
She also abandoned Kari Lake at a critical time. Puke.
The living example of what happens when America turns from the Christian ideals of its founders.
The founders were largely Deists. Jefferson did not believe in the divinity of Jesus. The founders rebelled against Christianity as practiced at the time.
I know, that’s why I said ideals and not faith.
Whatever the founders were, you cannot deny they wanted a nation built upon Christian principles
As would I.
While what you state is true, there are several facts omitted regarding Deism and the founders.
Deism was a belief based on the existence of God thru reason, and that sometimes the supernatural work of God was displayed.
At the time, the Enlightenment and scientific methodology were exploding concepts and affecting the thoughts of intelligent and well educated folks everywhere.
Jefferson rewrote a version of the Bible for his own use that pulled out all references of dogma and supernatural events regarding Jesus to focus on the moral aspects of how man and society should conduct affairs.
He also considered himself Unitarian.
While I disagree with Jefferson’s position in large part, to describe the founders to be in ‘rebellion’ against Christianity might be a bit strong.
It could just as well be described as a misguided attempt to understand God and how to take precepts of Christian thought to be applied to the morals and values that they thought people from all walks of Christian dogmas and sects to agree upon to form a more cohesive society and newly developing civilization.
The famous names were not the only people who inhabited the colonies.
Standing behind them was a very large faithful Christian population. Perhaps that is what Miya was actually referring to in the comment.
Good grief, you want Donald Trump but no one he picks. WTH. Might as well join the Dems, they don’t like Vance either.
She has valid concerns.
I’ve begun to feel like I’m on an Ant-Trump website.
So much negativity.
Problem is the RINOs love them some vance..
Yes, and we don’t have to like or trust her, but to attack her religion based on nothing is not very Christian like.
Deflection!!!!!
Missy never said a thing about her religion.
But you did!!
I guess I would like to know who the perfect VP pick would have been according to Treepers here.
Ben Carson is to old and mild mannered. This is going to be ugly and I dont think he would be good at ugly.
Rubio? even suggesting him is a joke.
Name someone who is perfect.
Who is MAGA on the bench?
No one is perfect, but Lake is not too old and is MAGA, for one.
Kari Lake is currently running for the Arizona Senate seat. She has been off the table the entire time.
Just because she is running doesn’t mean that she was “off the table.”
I think it did. If Trump picks her 4 months before the election, he hands that Senate seat to the Dems. I don’t think he was willing to do that. If doesn’t make sense to negate potential progress there if you’re Trump and you trust other people.
So he takes a possible R win in AZ off the table and pulls a sitting R OH senator out instead? Or do you think Dewine’s going to replace Vance with someone MAGA?
There’s no logic in your argument.
Well, the point you raised is why I hoped Trump would not pick anyone in Congress.
But yes, from a purely Congressional standpoint (so not taking any account of their merits) Vance is preferable as compared to Lake. If Trump picks Lake, it is highly, highly likely the Arizona senator is a democrat. While it is likely Dewine appoints a RINO, at least that person would caucus with the Republicans.
Interestingly, Ramaswamy has already publicly said he would accept that appointment. Maybe he is trying to put public pressure on Dewine? I am well aware of the concerns regarding Ramaswamy. I do however, think he would be a better Senator than Kari Lake’s opponent in Arizona.
Bingo.
As a general rule – Candidates that have been unable to WIN in their own States are not the best choice on a National ticket.
Is your point that this is further reason why Kari Lake should not have been selected?
Kari Lake so far has no executive experience. Before elevating her beyond her experience, let’s see if she can get elected first.
THERE’S NO BENCH. you don’t get 270 with anyone of em in 28.
Byron Donald
I really like Byron Donald and was happy to see him sitting with the President last night. He is a fighter and I hope Trump gives him a chance to show off his leadership skills.
The prime requirement of a Trump VP has always been that that they not be a part of the Uniparty, DeepState, or the oligarchic class, nor one of their paid tools.
This ensures Trump cannot be arbitrarily removed, as the Uniparty set out to do immediately 8 years ago.
Vance puts a bullseye on Trump’s head. He’s the opposite of what’s needed.
This^^^^^
Josh Hawley. Ken Paxton. Possibly Mark Robinson (need more vetting). Just to name 3.
Ken Paxton might be too busy or more necessary for TX as the Nationlist Movement is gaining strength as the Biden gov continues.
If y’all had taken the time to read “One Nation” by Dr.Carson you might be able to wrap your heads around why folks like me are wrapped around the axles about this vance blunder.
A DNC connected law firm, hm. Sounds like she has quite the sway on Vance. We may be hearing much more about her. If we are constantly undermined by those we think are on our “team” she doesn’t give me the best feelings based on her past but we shall see.
Many younger men have been trained to say such things about their wives whether it is true or not. Generational and now a political necessity.
NOPE.
A Jew named Saul was involved in stoning Saint Stephen.
Later, however, Saul became Saint Paul.
I am skeptical of Mr. Vance also, as undoubtedly many early disciples were skeptical of that newcomer, at that time (to them) seemingly on fire with the Holy Spirit, after he had persecuted them.
It has been my observation, and that of many others, that converts to the Catholic Church tend to be better believers than those baptized into the faith at birth.
So I am hopeful that Vance’s conversion away from tepid RINO’ism to fiery Conservatism is genuine.
If not, you can be sure that he will never receive any endorsement from our real and future president, President TRUMP, in 2028.
And just maybe the democrats are Philistines…
Sundance WTF, “ Chilukuri Vance beside him to help staff some of the more important legal positions around the office of the presidency.”
“closed the night at the RNC with a Sikh prayer.” A prayer to some other god?
What the hell just happened? The opening salvos to one world religion. This is creepy and let’s not make excuses for it.
what happened is that we have a multicultural country
so we need to get over ourselves
You know good point. We should probably invite the satanists as well.
The soap box talking points are out. Open up the RNC tent so large the message is diluted. The porn star and organizer of the “Slut Walk”, abortionist speaking at the RNC convention was a nice touch.
To bring it back to satan, in March Amber Rose praised satanism as a “very rational, logical religion that helps a lot of women to get abortions.” What a big and diverse tent.
Prior to the Sikh prayer, a Lutheran reverend led a prayer as well.
Maybe you should listen to the contents of the Sikh prayer before you criticize. Many ideas espoused in her prayer were similar (similar, not identical) to those expressed in Christianity. I mean, are you actually upset that she prayed for President Trump to be protected and safe?
There are non-Christians that support President Trump. Are you really suggesting we require them to convert? We can suggest it, sure. But requiring it is stupid. It simply increases the odds we lose because it means throwing those votes away. And the more we lose, the more Christianity is going to be vilified.
I am glad I watched none of that filth. I think OUR movement has been handed to freaks, 4th Branch and GloboCorp.
So only Christians are allowed in the club? Really?
Let me know how the club works while you worship nonbinary gods and make friends with the satanists.
One nation under ONE God. That is why, despite everything, the wheels are still on the bus here in America. The further we drift from Him, the greater the peril and potential annihilation.
First the demon-rats abandoned God and now the Republicans close the convention with a Sikh prayer? WTH is happening to our country.
A double Yale grad organizing a seminar on social decline in white America? That seems very condescending, just like her husband’s book. I’m all for Trump and very glad God saved his life, but these people strike me as ambitious and not at all committed to Trump in any real way.
One good thing, is he’s ambitious and has now thrown himself in with the MAGA wing of the Republican party. If he wants to keep ahead on this track, he has to play nice for the next 4 years. Not like a Pence, who could care less he had his status already. I hope Trump pulls a Biden and sticks JD on some easy tasks of no real importance and basically puts him aside like Kamala Harris. I really don’t want a silicon valley “Venture Capitalist” running the economy.
Finally, Alex Jones likes him and Don Jr. – so that’s a positive but the “ick ” factor is just very strong when I look at JD Vance and his wife. I almost feel like Trump didn’t care who it was, the second term in his view is about what he’s going to do.
Lizd, I agree with you. Don, Jr. has his own agenda. Not to be trusted.
He does that “smile as I speak” routine that Ivanka and Newsome are fond of that makes me want to run.
They continue to push interfaith prayer. Muslim, Jewish, Catholic, Protestant, Buddhist and New Age “pagan” now Sikh “pagan” The beast cannot be far off with all of this unification.
So people of different faiths working together to defeat a jointly recognized evil is bad?
Struggling to makes sense of the JD Vance pick. His wife, and the closing Sikh prayer by Harmeet Dhillon, could perhaps be an indication that Trump highly values a relationship with India. Which perhaps will provide leverage within the BRICS alliance.
Trump will have to rebuild relationships with some of BRICS countries. Perhaps reestablishing economic alliances with preferred nations in that group will enable US influence over their policies toward China.
Grasping to understand whether a strong alliance with the surging Indian economy and access to emerging military and AI technologies therein is worth inviting snakes into the tent. But if anyone can tame a cobra, it’s President Trump.
Haven’t forgotten, JD’s recommendation ALL nurses refusing VAXX be terminated/fired/removed.
Unsure why he jumped in on that personal fray, but he did and made a big deal of MANDATORY vaxxes…..
Sarcasm is difficult for some to identify.
This is a massive tell.
This guy needs to be relegated to the dark mushroom closet. No security clearance. No authority. He can be like VP’s years ago, attending ribbon cuttings.
He was making a joke of the fact that they are saying hospitals are overwhelmed so lets fire healthy nurses who dont take the ‘vaccine’.
He was being sarcastic.
Now post the ones where he supports Vax mandates. You left those out; maybe you did because they aren’t sarcastic.
Thank you for posting this and letting more folks know the context, dawg!
Here’s the sarcastic tweet from Vance:
“American hospitals are overwhelmed. It’s time to
take this seriouslv. As a start. let’s fire thousands of nurses who refuse to get the vaccine. That will help.
16:26 • 1/14/22 From Earth”
It was SARCASM!
Working in DC as a corporate litigator for a SanFran based DNC affiliated firm…not starting off to well here.
A son named Vivek. Yikes!
I had a student named Tequila, twins named Lemonjello and Orangejello (pronounced Leh MON juh lo and O RON juh lo). My husband went to school with Del Monte Zucchini Jones. Vivek is quite a common name in Indian families, of which there are many in the US. I am not sure what your point is?
Well, it was noteworthy enough for SD to bold that text in the article above. And if you follow SD at all, you’d understand.
While at Yale Law School Vance and Vivek became friends. It is also where Vance met his wife. In the every day scheme of things, becoming friends in college and continuing that friendship throughout adult life is not all that uncommon nor is naming a child after a grandfather, best friend, roommate. This article is drawing some yet to be substantiated conclusions and it’s unfortunate. These insinuations may come to pass, but for now people are just throwing s*it at the wall to see if it sticks.
Vivek is a common Indian name and perhaps is an homage to someone in her family. We have bigger fish to fry than what Vance’s children’s names are.
I will pray for revelation of truth not only for the enemy(ies) but for those of us who allow the spirit of doubt to creep into every “shadow”.
I remember back in 2015 how so many of us blasted the billionaire, loud mouth, pompous, rich buffoon, gaudy, STUPID, rude orange man….
Give it break….it is unbecoming. NONE are perfect. NONE will be EXACTLY what we think we need or want. And NONE of us come without baggage….not you, me, JD, Trump. All fall short.
Right now, this is the MOST God controlled environment we have had at the political level. And I thank God for His patience with our demands when we do nothing but take and give little. Thank you, oh Lord God who is charge and shaking us in order to get our attention…Return to Him, repent, change, praise His Name…then He will heal our land. So be it.
Amen.
I understand the concern with Vance and his wife. And I don’t mean to imply high intelligence is the be all end all. But I can’t imagine we have ever had a slower minded group of leaders of the executive branch as we have now. One plus is at least our new team of leaders will have some intelligence and ability for reasoning and critical thinking. This includes the wives. The intelligence quotation will increase by at least a factor of 2 from where it is now. And this is likely to be true of their appointments.
White American women have dropped the ball in the last 60 years. When the door closes another one needs to be open to let in fresh air.
B.S.
I ran that thru my decoder ring… and am still confused. Honestly, would you care to rephrase for clarity?
In my opinion this VP selection has multiple red flags. Trump critic who jumped on Trump train late in the game, Yale law married to Yale law and although a Marine he was in “public affairs” and journalism. Hope I’m wrong.
You are.
He was in the rear with the gear! Puhleeeeze!
He was still trained as a Marine and sent to Iraq. Would you like to go?
My dream of being the first in my family to complete Ranger School was smashed along with my vertebrae when I was 15. I had 3 Lt. Colonels and 1 Full Bird Colonel in my family as well as some Grunts, Airmen and a Master Chief for cousins, did you go???
Hopefully she won’t place her buddies at the woke firm in positions of power around Trump.
I’ll wait for Sundance’s deeply needed research into the Vances but my initial ‘feeling’ isn’t a good one on this choice.
I ‘feel’ opportunism in the style of Nikki Haley. I could be wrong…
Vance and Usha bring a lot to the table. I personally am happy with the pick. For those of you complaining about religion, be thankful that they are religious. For those of you complaining about connections to billionaires, be thankful for the monetary support, and that they have the ear of those planning the future. For those of you complaining about lawyers, please remember it takes lawyers to fight lawfare.
Usha and Vance are young, intelligent, articulate, and willing to put themselves on the line to make changes for our side. They are the best possible pick to get elected this go and take over the helm for the next go. Lets give them our support.
Excellent! Thank you. Even if there are some concerns, they can be pointed out without sounding like complete bigots, which some comments are leaning towards. It is sad. I teach in a multicultural school. Many of my students are from India. They are the most respectful, kind, and hardworking students I have. Education is a priority in their families and they are VERY conservative. They have very strong family and community bonds. I have no worries.
God saved President Trump. It was evident to anyone who saw it. To think that God cannot now save America because of JD Vance does not give the Lord the credit He deserves. God will use JD Vance as well.
Anyone have Vance and family current views on vaccines? It’s concerning what he said in the past but has he learned anything over time, it bothers me anytime a politician wants to be a ‘ruler’. I’m not hearing less government from him.
There are very few politicians willing to step out for Medical Health Freedom… very few. Those that do, in my experience, have not gone far in their primaries. I guess we are supposed to believe the JD has had another “epiphany” wrt forced gene-therapy injections? I lost count at how many changes-of-heart this man has had that we have to “accept”.
If you are referring to the comment about firing nurses who refuse vaccines, he was being SARCASTIC
Keep posting this, dawg, eventually it will sink in with some folks–I hope!
What real jobs have these two ever had??
If the viper was born in 84 and graduated in 2014 just how many years was he groomed at Yale, how were this decade plus of elite “enlightenment” paid for and by whom?
Ohio white trash don’t usually get into the Ivies matter how high the test scores.
I didn’t have to sit at a table with a bunch of Trust-afarian leftpukes who never had to worry about anything of consequence to get a PhD in the decline of America.
The reason I have such trepidation about this setup is my gut has never lied to me. Every time I have ignored my “.5 second diagnosis” that comes from my core, I have paid dearly.
I get the impression whomever has the President’s ear is more worried about big investors and ‘Stablishment Republican’ts than they are about rank and file Trumpmericans who have been there since Day One.
Those of us who did without to send 50$ to at a time to try and help save our Nation on several occasions have had little return on investment in the way of reassurance our precious donations are taken seriously.
The majority of MAGA is struggling, especially in Florida. We forgotten Americans are truly on our own.
Like I posted several days ago, nobody wants to see their hero sell out. And I don’t need a bunch of rich folks to tell me to be excited about it.
your gut reaction matches my gut reaction. And it ain’t good.
Great comment. Another thing that bothers me is his silicon valley connections. Silicon Valley types (of which I know one, through marriage) see the “A.I” stuff as the future – even if they acknowledge its bad for the working class, disabled people, kids, maybe some elderly after retirement …..who do lower complexity jobs but jobs that are still essential. That work gives them dignity and some income (not enough, but some), and I don’t want to live in a society where we are eliminating that dignity or opportunities. Silicon Valley people don’t get that, or care … they are too busy making money. THAT is who backs JD Vance, and they aren’t doing it for free or because they are patriotic. Like I said, best to sideline him, use him for whatever he does add – BUT DO NOT TRUST him to steer the ship in any meaningful way. Trump needs to pull in warriors, and place them around him even in non appointed positions. Take them as interns, or just friends who visit the Oval every week any way he has to to get the job done.
Another thing – did he seem overly friendly with JD? I got the impression seeing him at the convention that even Trump was sort of “eh” on JD, and maybe isn’t his biggest fan either.
“Ohio white trash don’t usually get into the Ivies [no] matter how high the test scores.”
He was in the Marine Corps for 4 years. The financial benefits of his military service allowed him to attend Ohio State University where he completed a double major in 2 years. I assume this is what allowed him to get into Yale Law School.
What is a “real job”? Whatever your definition is, I’m going to guess that it doesn’t apply to Trump….
President Trump worked his ass off 70 + hours a week handling more than his fair share of issues running multiple businesses, providing livelihoods for tens of thousands.
vance and his spiritual sherpa Haven’t run so much as a lemonade stand.
Little jd figured out how to monetize the suffering of working class Americans so he would never have to look at them again unless absolutely forced to when they show up to one of his houses to perform a menial task.
Being in the rear with the gear don’t impress me much for his service in the Corps.
“vance and his spiritual sherpa”
Should I point out that sherpas aren’t ethnically Indian, or just allow you to remain ignorant?
I got the sense Vance worked a lot growing up due to how poor his family was. Maybe not. His military service may not impress you. Oh well. I only brought it up to explain how he paid for college.
“Little jd figured out how to monetize the suffering of working class Americans so he would never have to look at them again”
Maybe so, but at least this means he can relate to the Rust belt. Should help.
What Vance did Is exactly like gangsta rappers who glorify hood violence and drug dealing and haul ass to gated communities as soon as the first royalties check clears.
Maybe so. Maybe he was authentically telling his life story. I don’t know. I’ve only read a small exerpt some years ago.
J D Vance is a Catholic.
So is Tony Blair. And Joe Biden.
In what religion is he raising his kids?
I’m with BK. Way too many red flags. By the way, a best selling book and a movie ARE red flags, folks.
I see the selling points as well, particularly when the Silicon Valley gang might not only back down the censorship but pony up the money if they see a light at the end of a 4 year wait Trump out or hope he dies in office tunnel.
It obviously isn’t going to change my 2024 vote.
But 2028? I’m looking elsewhere. This is not my presumptive heir to the Presidency. And don’t bother trying to sell me on a Trump family political dynasty either. No thanks.
Further point. WHO is raising the kids?
Two high powered careers, 3 kids under 10.
His family is a mess (note traumatized childhood pattern recognition here).
It’s almost certainly her parents raising the kids. Shades of Mrs. Robinson.
Mrs. Vance is also a dual national, or did she relinquish her Indian citizenship? If not, why not?
I am not sure of the dual nationality but she grew up in California in a modest community and went to a public school.
“By the way, a best selling book and a movie ARE red flags, folks.”
Why? Why is being able to relate to the public a red flag?
You have literally no idea what the family situation is. Or at the very least have provided no evidence beyond speculation. I’m not saying you can’t speculate, just calling it for what it is. Speculation.
Alex, so many who call others sheep have joined the flock themselves.
There’s so many red flags with Vance he looks like the San Fran poop app.
There are two plays in the ever repeating playbook. One is putting in a Pence albatross around Trump’s neck to muck things up… throwing sand in to the machine. Two is the old Bush 41 ploy. Put a younger guy in with an older POTUS/Reagan and pull an article 25 asap. Sooo, which is it that we are looking at here? I am not optimistic.
It is beautiful to see a couple who come from entirely different places in this world … and make it work. And, prosper.
Ron DeSantis 2.0, Pence in a Hindu dress, McCain hiding in uniform, Thiel/Bush sponsored acolyte, that wants to be called a Hillbilly. God bless the real hillbillies.
Sorry, the ride on the Trump train took a turn that is causing nausea for me.
God Help US
Trump had the pick of the land and let his hands be tied behind his back by donors, Never Trumpers, in the name of ‘unity’, really……
AND a wife that is a lawyer ready to step into the clean-up of the swamp, really…….
I pray I’m going to change my mind…..and see the train steam across the Rockies.
SO when do we find out NIki Haley is her BFF?
And Harmeet…praying to some pagan god last night….Nope, not tuning into that woke crap…..
My hope is that Trump takes a hammer to the swamp construct in DC. Destroy, deconstruct and diversify the elements that are left so that they do not continue to enslave the American people. We are ruled by unelected bureaucrats.
Yes, DJT has stated that the Dept of Education is on the nullification list. It’s quite possibly the lowest of low-hanging fruit to begin the deconstruction. If he can do that, then all things may be possible… but if he switches gears and ignores them, or tries and fails to rid ourselves of this unnecessary and destructive department, then we are in for greater disappointments.
Excellent. The DoE is toxic. Once destroyed, the local Boards of Education need realignment. They have levied taxes/extorted money from sitting duck propery owners for far too long and charged more for less. Over half of the tax bill is school taxes.
Why should a business like Kroger pay a school tax? Kroger doesn’t use the schools. Retirees are being forced to sell their homes bc they cannot afford the tax hikes on a limited income. Eliminate school tax and give the homeowners a break.
He’s not going to do it with the Uniparty on board; Vance is Pence 2.0 in a Hindu dress.
AND he won’t be able to straighten out Our military; Vance is McCain hiding behind a uniform.
AND he will become the UNIPARTY; Vance is a Thiel/Bush acolyte; money will ties his hands.
The Trump Train is pulling out of the platform with Vance on board ; the train is headed for the Rockies at full steam ahead.
Don’t know if I’m jumping off or not.
The UNIPARTY is in the drivers seat, sorry.
VP needs to do three things:
I would like to add “And do NOT speak to the FBI without a lawyer present!”
Fortunately this will always be the case since Vance graduated from Yale Law School lol.
There’s JUST not enough diversity in the white supremacist Republican Party!
The Republican’t Party is run by Financial Supremacists most of whom are white..
I love all of it. 3 kids in 10 years impressive given their careers. Family first.
You know why? Because generating negativity and playing Debbie Doubt Downer sucks. The comments Our President picked a VP. I support the greatest president of my lifetime and believe in who he picked. You don’t think he learned a few things 4 years in office about vipers in admiration and how to spot upfront and eradicate??
A mere 10 years ago I read Townhall and Malkin sites every day. I had no idea what Trump was about. His vision. Those sites were negative on him. A hustler. Publicity hound. I kinda went along with it.
Sound familiar. Maybe you too?
Then I found CTH. Right when DJT and Melania came down the elevator. Mind blowing how much I learned. Backed by evidence
I can rattle off the unilateral trade agreement strategy deployed in APAC. I call it an economic iron curtain around China composed of Taiwan Japan Vietnam. How NK leader is a hostage DJT was gonna set free. NAFTA loophole Trump closed with USMCA. Elevates Mexican middle class. 100 points I could weave together. People listen to my takes.
I like and trust JD Vance until proven otherwise. I refuse to spew negatives about JD. I’m well aware his prior takes on Trump were not good. Maybe the guy woke up like I did. He’s young. And likely in total awe of Donald Trump like we are.
Let’s see if JD can rally the troops in the Senate, and by extension, the House…. to support the policies of DJT47. If we see more “Paul Ryan” and “Turtle” moments than not, then you and we will have our answer. Clearly, Pence failed at this. Many of us here are simply concerned that we have seen this movie before, and it didn’t end well. Yes, we are hopeful, but we are tired of “trust and verify”, and when we “verify”, it’s too late to make a change. Cabinet picks are reversible, but not the VP (at least, not easily).
I have been with President Trump since Day One, this blunder is bad. I lost the ability to BS myself when the Creator freed me from booze seven years ago.
wow… who knew. Driving home from work last night, I was finally feeling good inside. Knowing President Trump dusted off his shoes as was moving forward. buckle up. This is not over…
Maybe if WWIII breaks out India and USA will become strong allies..
What was the I in BRICS again?
I can’t remember whether the ‘I’ in BRICS stands for Iowa, Indiana, Indonesia, Iceland or maybe it was for any country that said “I don’t want to be part of the current corrupt International Banking System or the US Idiot Intelligence Gangster Agencies anymore!
<chuckles>
India, brics is the result of the stolen election and our country. We are about to get it back….
