Why WOULDN’T Garland simply follow proceedure in the appointment, he had plenty of Senate Confirmed prosecutors to choose from.
I believe they never actually expected to get convictions, and only brought the cases to reduce PDJT’s support, and give RINOS in the RNC an excuse to deny PDJT the nomination.
But, as you say the Florida case holds great risk for them, in that if decided in PDJT’s favor on the merits, would likely mean there are no legal barriers to PDJT releasing the material in the 11″ binder, for all to see.

A concern needs to be considered with District Judge Cannon’s dismissal of DoJ’s Florida Documents Case.
Judge Cannon did NOT address the actual merits of the case itself … just the wrongful appointment of Jack Smith. I give her full credit for at least following the lead of her Supreme Court Supervisor, Justice Thomas who supervises the 11th district, as well as give credit to Justice Thomas for “helping” Judge Cannon find a way to dismiss the case, for the time being.
The ball is back in the DoJ’s court to refile or not, with a “new” actor on the stage … there are plenty of democrat ex-DoJ hacks who meet the requirements to be special prosecutors … it is now a matter of how much damage continuing the case would be v/v increased awakening of La La Land voters.
Plus it will be interesting to see if this snowballs back to undo any of the January 6 court decisions.
Just as with the Fulton County, GA election case … removal of the prosecutor does NOT stop the case from going forward if DoJ or Fulton County decide to move forward.
These lawfare efforts are still in play if the democrats and Uni-Party decide to use it, again with new actors taking the stage as their representatives.

I think there’s a small bug in WordPress that causes a comment reply to get pushed down into its own comment. Probably a “race condition” under heavy load or something… eg, maybe if multiple people are replying to the same comment simultaneously. It’s happened to me a couple times.

I’m not sure what “narratives” they’re referring to, but I know what I saw, and I know what the crowd in Butler witnessed live.
At it turns out, my father-in-law lives in Pennsylvania and he was at the rally on Saturday. When the shots rang out and Trump went down, he said pandemonium broke out around him. Everyone feared the worst.
But then Trump rose. Covered in his own blood, resisting the secret service’s efforts to whisk him away to safety, Trump raised his fist defiantly, and the crowd could see him say: “Fight. Fight. Fight.”

Of course(!) the media knew in advance that “an assassination” was to take place, and they were there to film it in real time.
Everyone was “in.” The Secret Service, the local Police, the media. This was going to be the day when “they finally got rid of Trump.” In a spectacular display, right in front of “his” audience.
“Oops! We got the shooter, but unfortunately just a few seconds too late to save Trump …” That was the script. I’m sure that all of the media outlets had been supplied in advance with bio’s of … “Lee Harvey Oswald.”
What they couldn’t know was that God Himself was going to intervene – and to demonstrate that “He, alone” could have possibly been the one who did it.
The bullet didn’t just “miss.” It clipped his ear. This was God’s signature.
Doesn’t CNN always mysteriously show up when some big FBI operation goes down?
And the BBC just happened to be broadcasting live at the rally. Probably a first for this network?
They knew. Everybody knew. The planning for this operation was happening at the very highest level, and here we see “the patsy.” (Unknown how many other shooters might have also been there, waiting for the excuse.) This whole thing was carefully arranged, at the very highest levels. This was supposed to be “their crowning moment.”

Yep and I read this was the first and only time CNN did live coverage for a Trump rally. So effing obvious.
Hence a bit of confusion and delay, as the MSM (expletive-)weasels urgently re-write their expected news releases.
