The deceased shooting victim has been identified as Corey Comperatore (50), a retired fire chief from Pennsylvania who died while shielding his daughters from the barrage of gunfire. A GoFundMe has been authorized by President Trump [SEE HERE] to collect money for the Comperatore family and for the families of other victims wounded in the horrific attack.

I too am the daughter of a retired Fire Fighter. Their natural instinct is to protect (like most fathers), but there is something pretty special about them. They see so many people hurt day in and day out that the last thing they want to see is someone hurt. My heart breaks for his family. Yes, God is proud of the man that came to His gates yesterday. Rest in peace Mr. Comperatore.

One last thing…….this just got personal for me.
The shooter and anyone else like him will find their eternal and never ending punishment, God willing.
I can understand that. We are all in the way, MTeresa. All it takes is a human heart to understand this grievous and hideous loss on a day which started out so joyfully for this father and the two girls he adored.
But there seems to be an absence of such hearts in far too many. I don’t know how we got here. My feeble mind simply cannot grasp the evil.
Personally, the crap that has come out of Hollywood mostly sit coms depicting fathers as unnecessary, stupid, and every other negative adjective you can think of. It’s degrading to young men to be depicted this way.
Hollywood is a rotten cesspool. Maybe Joe McCarthy was onto something?
And is intended to be the way they are portrayed. An intact nuclear family with the father at the head is anathema to them. They’ve worked since the sixties to destroy it.
We don’t watch anything which comes from that debauched cesspit anymore…and haven’t for longer than I can remember.
This is going to be unpopular but the phrase “give heaven some hell” is very unfortunate. It grieves me as much as when I hear the Lord’s name taken in vain.
