The shots appeared to come from his right. Good thing his head was turned. Sounded like small caliber. Somebody must have seen the shooter.
I would expect it to turn out to be a carefully-planned assassination attempt – probably with more than one shooter. If you want to “take out a President,” you don’t engage an amateur with a .22. Look more deeply. “This is probably just the decoy.”

Yes I see the hand of God in this too. Whether He sent a gust of wind, or caused the shooter to flinch, or caused President Trump to turn his head at that instant, or all of the above, it seems like a miracle. Eyewitnesses are saying the shooter was on the roof of the “AGR building” approximately 100-200 feet away. That indicates a failure, or complicity by the security detail. Nobody should be allowed to access a sniper position near the former president.
