I think you are exactly right in calling it “debunked, used-up strategy”. 2020 worked because there were people in very conservative churches like mine effectively pushing everyone to bend over backwards trying to prove they are not racists. Not everyone has thought through everything since then, but overall I see enough feeling that our courtesy and friendliness were used against us in many ways in 2020 (in the mask mandates most of all), and nobody is about to fall for that again.

Almost. A twist to this would be if Kamala picks Newsome as her running mate, avoiding the whole racial thing, holding on to the money, and making Clyburn happy. There could be a move by HRC, maybe some Bernie Sanders fireworks, RFK, unknowns, and even Liawatha might jump in. At the convention all the special interests want their special interest and lots of backroom negotiating will result in numerous votes with no one getting 60% of the delegates.
After 2 or 3 days of voting, backroom deals, more voting, drop outs throwing their support to others, no one has yet to get that required 60%. That is when Michelle would finally step in and they go another few rounds until delegates have to leave their hotel rooms and they give in.

Since I am sure Obama is setting himself up as the primary power broker at the Dem Convention and we may see the craziest Dem Convention we have ever seen. The Party is splintering into all of its many tribal groups, and some of them have been suppressed by the Obama tribe for more than 16 years. They will also see their chance to make a difference before Obama is able to take total control of the outcomes. The dirty secret is that the Dems have always been a hodgepodge of small tribes who all have differing axes to grind. What we see now is just the posturing and alliances phase of the final plans for their Convention. Obama will employ his Antifa and Clyburn’s BLM along with Lawfare and the heads of every Bureaucracy he still controls. The Biden family will just end up discovering that they were never more than bit players, but they have learned how to pull most of the strings awarded only to the President and they cannot be ousted unless they get their own slice of the pie for doing so.
This all leaves us on the sidelines wondering what kind of world we will wake up to if we can’t get PDJT safely into the White House. Right now my emphasis is on safely, because there is nothing more evil than Government Bureaucracies who’s leaders powers are about to be removed. I expect nothing less than political insanity in the near and long term future.

Per the AP, Mr Biden needs 1,968 delegates to secure his party’s nomination. And as he’s already tallied 3,894 (the bulk of whom are required to support him on their first ballot) his successful candidacy is largely pro-forma.
However, owing to this week’s fateful debate debacle, his party’s elders would like him to withdraw.. The rub being if he’s not considered able to perform the duties of the presidency beginning next year, why is he still doing so now..?
I don’t think the “fateful debate” changed their plans one iota. Their *preplanned* replacement strategy merely needed an excuse, and so they concocted a reason for it. That’s all they did toward a foregone conclusion.
If they really wanted to run Brandon they could simply air short, scripted interviews and churn out the fake polls that make his “re-election” seem plausible. Like they always do.
Under this scenario where Biden announces he will not run again does he step down immediately making Kamala the President? If so, it is hard to imagine she could be pushed out at the convention.
Another question I have is about the delegates. Biden won the most delegates in the primary and if he were to choose to run again they would have to be pledged to him at the convention. If Biden announces he is not running do the delegates automatically go to Kamala?
I think the answer is no since she did not run in the primary and in theory if Biden were to decide to run he could announce a new running mate at the convention.
So they could have Kumala become President for Awhile, with the huge fanfare of “first woman and black woman”, , sucking the air out of the room, and see how it goes.
If it’s a disaster they could switch at te convention. It would be messy but possible with the help of the compliant Democommunists and their media.
