Report: Close Aides Hid Him from Others Inside the White House

Some White House aides were shocked at President Joe Biden’s disastrous debate performance on Thursday because his close aides have effectively shielded him from them since the beginning of the presidency, according to a report.

The Axios report said, “Biden’s behavior stunned many in the White House in part because Biden’s closest aides — often led by Jill Biden’s top aide, Anthony Bernal, and deputy chief of staff Annie Tomasini — took steps early in his term to essentially rope off the president.”

Mockery erupted online Monday night after President Joe Biden delivered a primetime address in which his skin appeared orange from a possible spray tan.

The tan likely would have been applied in response to criticism of his poor performance at Thursday’s debate, which sparked concerns about his age and cognitive ability.

Hello, everyone – I don’t get around CTH much anymore. Many of you are retired at my age, but I need to work fulltime and am away from home 50 hrs/wk. As the years and circumstances have passed, keeping up keeps slipping away into the sand. I’m sure many of those reading understand.

Sometimes taking care of utmost priorities is all you can do. Sometimes, even those go undone. That said, I miss communicating with many of you and reading all your comments.

Even worse, I’ve noticed how I can no longer comprehend some of SD’s writings. Much as I try to keep up, it seems there are nuances within complicated situations that cannot be understood without extensive prior reading. Being oldschool, I don’t want to comment without reading all the links, watching full video, and reading posted comments. So I don’t comment. (Plus, it’s no longer enjoyable scrolling through the awful comments on the other threads.)

So…I just wanted to extend well wishes to those of you who have (and will continue to be) in my prayers. I’m always glad to see your names and read your posts when I can. Be well, God Bless, and thank you for being here when you don’t even know how much you are appreciated.

If the closest relationships of life clash with the claims of Jesus Christ, He says it must be instant obedience to Himself. Discipleship means personal, passionate devotion to a Person, Our Lord Jesus Christ. There is a difference between devotion to a Person and devotion to principles or to a cause. Our Lord never proclaimed a cause; He proclaimed personal devotion to Himself. To be a disciple is to be a devoted love-slave of the Lord Jesus. Many of us who call ourselves Christians are not devoted to Jesus Christ. No man on earth has this passionate love to the Lord Jesus unless the Holy Ghost has imparted it to him. We may admire Him, we may respect Him and reverence Him, but we cannot love Him. The only Lover of the Lord Jesus is the Holy Ghost, and He sheds abroad the very love of God in our hearts. Whenever the Holy Ghost sees a chance of glorifying Jesus, He will take your heart, your nerves, your whole personality, and simply make you blaze and glow with devotion to Jesus Christ.
 
The Christian life is stamped by ‘moral spontaneous originality,’ consequently the disciple is open to the same charge that Jesus Christ was, viz., that of inconsistency. But Jesus Christ was always consistent to God, and the Christian must be consistent to the life of the Son of God in him, not consistent to hard and fast creeds. Men pour themselves into creeds, and God has to blast them out of their prejudices before they can become devoted to Jesus Christ.

American gospel singers and songwriters Dony and Reba Rambo-McGuire were invited to vacation with friends on a houseboat on Center Hill Lake near Nashville, Tennessee. They had prayed that the Lord would “do something special,” and several songs were completed by the end of that week.

One particular song was created when Dony returned from an early morning of fishing with a God-inspired tune. As he played the small keyboard, Reba wrote similarly inspired lyrics. While many compositions change as the songwriters repeat them, this “little lake song” never did.

This song, “A Perfect Heart,” begins, “Morning sun light of creation / Grassy fields of velvet floor / Silver clouds a shimmering curtain / He’s designed a perfect world.” The chorus closes, acknowledging the miraculous creative nature of the Lord, singing, “He can make a perfect heart.” 

David acknowledged before the Lord that his heart was clogged with sin. “I need a new heart,” he wrote. Pastor and teacher Dr. J. Vernon McGee wrote, “The word create means ‘out of nothing.’ In other words, there was nothing in David’s heart that God could use. He was not asking for renovation or reformation. He was asking for something new.” This takes nothing less than a miracle—it is something only God can do. 

The Hebrew word for clean is tahor, and it means pure, clear, purified, genuine, and unalloyed. A clean heart has no contaminants and no pollution.

Theologian W.E. Vine said, “God demands that His people have spiritual and moral purity, unsullied by sin.”

Old Testament purification rites often utilized water. The sanctified believer is washed by the water of the Word of God (Ephesians 5:26). David understood the need for a divine work of God in his life. God is still the Creator who can cleanse the impure heart and restore a right spirit within you.

Humbly come to Him and confess your sins, for He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you (1 John 1:9).

Pray for the nation’s politicians to desire clean hearts so they might be led to the Savior.

“The Lord delivers and saves a soul from drowning.

Even in our doubts and fears of walking on water as we are trying to get to Jesus, we start to sink when we look at the tempest (today’s chaos) instead of keeping our eyes on Jesus.

Two examples: God did that with Jonah in a whale’s belly, but differently with Jeremiah with water up to his nose in a cistern because he prophesied truth in the face of threats; so God moved on some to ask the King to pull him out of that cistern.

Jonah rebelled against the Lord’s command. Jeremiah didn’t.

Isaiah didn’t refuse the power of the Lord’s prophecy to him. His price, getting cut in half hiding in a mulberry tree.

So where are we today, being part of a weak, deluded church diving deeper into false spiritual narratives that don’t represent anything close to the original Gospel?

Are we paying too much attention to news media rather than giving our sole attention and worship and complete faith only to the true God and His faithful promises to us?

Because of the modern fake religions, we are so far away and divorced from the first true narrative of heaven to us.

Many of today’s church attendees live in a happy music thing and the constant want to feel good rather than to sense the suffering burden of Jesus Christ Who put all that away for all of us so that we might understand the real meaning of identifying with Him, His godly personage in which, as Paul said, we were crucified with Him as He represented all of us, do we in our modern times still not understand how that the old Truth is still the new Truth.

To the end and beginning of that great mystery ~ CHRIST IN YOU ~ no greater universal mystery is greater than that.

God, Jesus, the Son of God AND the Son of Man, uniting us in a glorious union with God forever.”

My epiphany of the year is one of Gods attributes, a replacement for any bad day or excuse. Adversity!
I’ve been chewing on that one for years but it’s been clarified in the last few weeks as I’ve seen my three sons and my wife and I get pummeled this last year. (By the way……..a sign that a season of plenty is coming soon)
Adversity, is an attribute of God and just like love or truth we believers need to see it just that way.
Count it All joy, is a reference to what I’m describing.
If you see adversity it’s the path you need to choose. Hidden like a path to great wealth and blessings you might even not see it until you stumble upon the struggle. Embrace adversity like Gods love and hang tight, praise God as if it was the answer to your prayers, because it is.

You may claim any adversity as a blessing and listen to Gods response.
A husband and wife team are unstoppable because each can see the blessing in the struggle for their spouse. Also family members see what the person going through it cannot. They are spiritually connected.

In this…”the devil is defeated, God is exalted” when you see struggle as it is, Gods hand guiding you and training you for more than enough.

My beautiful sister Tiffany passed away 6/27/2024 from Ovarian Cancer after a six year battle. She was only 55 and has two children under the age of 23 and devoted husband who is now a widower. If you could please say a prayer for them, today is the funeral. I know she is already in heaven but it is her family who need to be lifted in prayer as they navigate this new journey without her earthly presence 💙

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me. 

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Vengeance: the act of taking revenge (harming someone in retaliation for something harmful that they have done) especially in the next life.

Don’t give up or turn back in this battle. Keep the Sword of the Spirit in your hand and mouth.

Have your heart fixed on God. Magnify God, the problem solver, and not the problem.

The Body of Christ should be encouraging one another, praying for one another, and being unified.

God will have His way and the final say.

For I the Lord this day am telling My children, the RAVENOUS WOLVES are coming out of their caves, from their hiding places, to try and devour what is left of truth, freedom or anything good. Don’t panic and do not fear what you hear or what you see from the jackals and from the puppet or the puppet-masters. This is the time to push back with My Word. They have pushed you, pressured you, tried to break you, kill you, and destroy your liberty, destroy your freedom or your justice and to control the world with their narrative and their lies. Don’t you see them foaming at the mouth and fear is consuming them. A great panic has set in. This is that time there is no way for them to win. 

Watch their overreach. They’ll be more prideful and arrogant on their next moves against this nation, but you know PRIDE COMES BEFORE A FALL. They know there is no option where My David can take that seat of the President back. You will make greater and more desperate attempts to destroy him and your justice system. They’re too arrogant to see what is right in front of their faces and that is ME. You will watch them tear themselves apart. You will watch them try more injustice. You will see them try spinning more of the truth and their narrative but it will all fall apart. 

There were whispers in the enemy’s camp and now there are massive arguments…how did these things leak? Who keeps exposing us? How do they know our plans when we have been careful who hears them? They don’t see My infiltrators My children. They don’t believe My prophets have been sent to tell their secrets, to have My Body pray against their plans. Can you see it, My children? The Words I have spoken are playing out in front of their eyes? I am bringing them down. They are collapsing. They are failing everywhere you look. 

My nation is awakening. My church is awakening.

EVENING PRAYERS

Prayer for Serenity 1: When Things Seem Out of Control
You did everything you could to assure a positive outcome, but it didn’t turn out the way you wanted or expected. We’ve all been there. It tests our faith. Maybe you accept the outcome or maybe you’re frustrated. God wants to help you put the situation into perspective and remember that he is always in control of every situation—even those you so desperately want to control.
Dear Lord, It feels like everything is out of control in my life right now. I know good things are happening too but the stress is overshadowing them. I wanted a better answer, things to change, but my hopes are dashed. Many people try to comfort me by saying that you’re in control, but it doesn’t bring me comfort. It seems condescending.
Lord, I want to understand and discern the plans you have for me. Father, restore my faith as I trust that you’re omniscient and I’m not. Envelope me with your peaceful balm to soothe my questioning mind. Remind me that you hold the whole world in your hands and all things work for good to those who believe in you. I do believe! Amen

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Prayer for Serenity 2: When Anxiety Overtakes Rationality
God didn’t create doubt, anxiety, or worry. Satan did to rob us of our joy, peace, and sleep. God knows common sense can flee when we’re under stress, so he gave us a remedy when we experience mind hijackers: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). Charles Spurgeon advised that, “Our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strength.”
Lord, you know how irrational I can become when I’m anxious. I can’t reign in my thoughts. Instead of expecting the best, I worry and wonder. I fret. My stomach churns, my heart races, and I can’t take my mind off the issue. I know you don’t want me living in a constant state of turmoil. It’s not good for my physical or mental health. It makes people around me miserable and keeps me living in a perpetual state of chaos instead of calmness, which I crave.
Father, you tell me in your Word to cast all my anxiety on you and so I’m doing that in this prayer. I lay at your feet the things I’m struggling with and I implore you Lord to free my mind of concerns. Remind me please to take deep breaths and trust that you can make a way even when the path is not visible to me. Father, please lead me to refreshing Scriptures when I feel anxiety approaching. Holy Spirit fill me with the serene peace and joy of the Lord. Amen

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Isaiah 26:3 NLT

Prayer for Serenity 3: When Fear Overcomes Faith

Faith is the opposite of fear. The antidote to fear is to renew and reaffirm your trust in God when things are going well, when things look bleak, and every time in between. Don’t doubt him. Realize and internalize that God’s got this and he’s way ahead of us. Elisabeth Elliot once said, “Fear arises when we imagine that everything depends on us.”

Scriptures remind us to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5). In times of trial, we may find ourselves by God’s grace able to overcome our fears quickly, or it could be an extended journey. The triumph will be worth the struggle as it draws us closer to God when we go straight to prayer and reliance on him.

Dear Father, I’ll admit that I’m fearful right now. My world seems unsteady and unpredictable and I’m afraid. I want to trust you in all circumstances. Please help me rely on you and avoid the instigators of fear. When I’m tempted to turn on the news, nudge me to pick up my Bible. When conversation becomes uncomfortable, please give me words to change the subject.

Lord, my hope is in you. Your Word always brings calmness to my soul and your presence in prayer is soothing and restful. I will not be afraid. I love you Lord and know that you first loved me. Greater love could no man have than to lay down his life as you did for me, even when I was so undeserving. Remind me Lord to believe when I forget that you are greater than anyone or any force in this world. I feel my fear subsiding as my love for you grows greater. Praise God from whom all blessings flow, even to me. Amen

Prayer for Serenity 4: When What-if’s Overshadow What-Is

In Everyday Brave, I admit that I’m an overthinker and a perfectionist. Overthinkers imagine all the things that could go wrong or could happen. We wake up in the middle of the night ‘what-iffing’ and often create our own stress. We anticipate the worst in the future, robbing ourselves of the joys of the present. Overthinkers create problems in our minds that don’t exist and probably won’t ever occur. Perfectionists second-guess ourselves, never thinking we’re good enough or smart enough. Many don’t even try for fear of failure.

Lord, imagining future problems and never being satisfied with my, or others, performance doesn’t make me happy. I awfulize. I try to cope in my own strength and expectations instead of depending on you. Please teach me how to focus on actual circumstances and let go of those I fabricate. I waste so much of my life in a perpetual state of unrest.

You are my strong fortress, my anchor, my source of joy, serenity, and peaceful thoughts. Keep me grounded on the firm foundation of your Word and your ways. Guide me on paths of righteousness. You are the truth, the way, and the life. Amen

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34

Prayer for Serenity 5: When You Want to Give Up or Give In

Stress is debilitating. Even with our best intentions, the weight of whatever is bothering us can defeat our motivation to rectify the situation. We feel helpless and hopeless. It seems easier living with the source of our stress than praying to God for how we should respond. Often, he will direct us to take no action. It’s not our battle this time. Other times, he wants us to be resilient, resourceful, and rectify the situation remembering: “I can do all this through Christ who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).

Dear Lord, please refresh me with your living water. Let the Holy Spirit flow over me. Remind me that this world is not my home and to keep my eyes looking heavenly. I can so easily lose sight of you in the midst of my problems and the world’s craziness.

Others are watching how I react to stress and difficulties. They need to see that my dependence is on you. My source of hope is you working in ways I might not see.

I want to be an encourager when asked how I can still have a smile on my face and joy in my voice as I carry on in the midst of stressful times. Please don’t let darkness overtake me Lord as I seek your face in morning’s light and the stillness of night. I will not be discouraged for I know the Lord my God is with me wherever I go. Praise you Father. Amen

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
