So, to me, the Supreme Court should make a strong statement that the states, as they develop plans and procedures for federal elections, must ensure federal laws are followed. They should restate those federal election laws to emphasize what they are.

Five Illegals Arrested for Kidnapping 14-Year-Old Girl In Indiana
During the overnight hours between Sunday and Monday, a search was launched for a 14-year-old girl after her father reported her missing to police in Indiana.
Just before 2 a.m. on Monday, the victim’s phone pinged from a vehicle traveling along U.S. Route 36 near Hannibal, MO.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) trooper spotted the SUV a short time later in Macon County and initiated a traffic stop.
The girl was immediately removed from the SUV and 5 men inside were arrested.

I wish that I felt better about the outcome of this case but the oral arguments were not encouraging at all, IMHO…I am afraid that ACB will side with the Leftists and that it will come down to Roberts to cast the deciding vote – and his track record on cases that really, really matter is not great, to put it mildly!
I do not see it as a free speech issue. The underlaying danger is that, in the name of “free software”, we surrender all our rights (click “I Agree”) via user agreements. So, no one sees that the true conspiracy of censorship lies in the marriage of BigTech and the State into fascist monopolies.
The point we often overlook is that social media companies are “private” corporations and we enter into private agreements with them which we do not and often cannot even read.
Antitrust action is needed – not First Amendment lawsuits.
as a side note, a salesman came down our country road a few weeks ago to sell us “rural internet”. We don’t ever get salesmen. I asked him for a link to the Privacy agreement and the Terms and Conditions to read. So I found them and read them.
In an oversimplified nutshell…… by signing up,

I guess I should have phrased my comment better…I am not so much “afraid” as I am concerned about the outcome of the case, because of the emotional responses from several of the SCOTUS judges, who seemed to think that it’s more important for the government to censor speech than to protect it, because they “care about us” and only want to “protect us” from things we don’t “need to hear” or some such nonsense!
I offered alternative reactions for those who are willing to entertain the possibility that having and /or sharing a “concern” about people beyond ones control might NOT have a positive affect on:

or on others who are inspired to feel concerned too

Two men from Venezuelan have been charged with capital murder in the brutal killing of a preteen girl in Texas this week, according to reports.
Just after 6 a.m. on Monday morning, the body of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray was found in a creek in north Houston.
On Tuesday, the Houston Police Department released surveillance images of two persons of interest who were seen accompanying Nungaray at a 7-11 hours before her death.

Researchers then combed through the data to identify trends in the number of children and adolescents diagnosed with transgenderism, including the prevalence, demographics, and duration of those struggling with their gender identity.
Two out of three young people medically diagnosed with gender dysphoria will no longer identify as a member of the opposite sex within five years. Researchers found overall that 63.6% of trans-identifying children and adolescents desisted from their clinically confirmed gender diagnosis, and “only 36.4% had a confirmed [gender identity disorder] diagnosis after five years.” Experts found the majority of all people who identified as transgender desisted during that time frame.
The most likely group to change its mind is 15-to-19-year-old females, with 72.7% desisting. But a majority (50.3%) of young men who came to their transgender identity in adulthood (males aged 20-24) also desisted in five years.
Similarly, nearly three quarters of young people who identify as transgender (72.4%) had at least one other psychiatric condition. In view of the recent and regular slayings of Americans by illegals, I would like to provide a couple of points, not generally known, about the 2015 killing of Kate Steinle on Pier 14 by illegal alien Zarete.
It was her tragic and needless slaying, imo, that woke up many Americans to the danger of uncontrolled immigration. President Trump spoke out about it, and many Americans were just as outraged.
The SF Sheriff at the time was Ross Mirkarimi, a woke politician with no law enforcement experience. This is perfectly acceptable in SF, and in fact the SF Sheriffs Dept has no
patrol function, they simply staff the jail.
The Sheriff championed SFs sanctuary policy, refused to cooperate with ICE, and was basically a POS looking to move up the political ladder. He saw Zarete as a useful prop.
Illegal alien Zarete , a career criminal and drug addict, had served his sentence in Federal prison in Victorville CA (about 400 miles from SF) and was due to be deported. Prison officials queried NCIC for wants and warrants in case he was wanted in any jurisdiction. Zarete matched for an old misdemeanor marijuana charge in SF, which had zero potential for prosecution.
Such situations are common, and typically the originating department would decline action. There is a vast number of outstanding warrants in California, and unless they are for something really serious, not much happen unless the subject happens to be arrested for something else in or near where the warrant is issued.
Prison officials were undoubtedly baffled that the SF Sheriff wanted Zarete. But he in fact had him transported to SF, where he intended to release him into sanctuary SF to “save” him from being deported. SF Chronicle reporters etc. would carry the news of the Sheriff thumbing his nose at ICE and protecting Zarete from the Feds.
The SF judge as expected dropped the charges against Zarete, and the Sheriff prepared to “meet the press”. But, Zarete had a long rap sheet and he looked like what he was: a repulsive street criminal and addict. The Sheriff was not going to get the show he wanted.
Although Zarete’s charges were dropped and he should have been released, the Sheriff continued to illegally hold him for at least a week while he and his advisors considered the best course of action.
In the end, they quietly released him. He subsequently stole a handgun from a vehicle and killed Ms Steinle.

It seems to me that actions against these Anti-American vermin ultimately will wind up in a DC court. Any lawsuit versus the United States goes there. As we know, no lawsuit against the government has much of a chance in DC. Leftist judges and juries….who really have no interest in the Constitution and are essentially anti-American.
I fear that much of the work being planned or envisioned may be destined for failure if its ultimate destination is a DC court. It’s like asking the government to rule against its own self interests. The DC court system is the firewall of the left.
I have always thought that the logic of having lawsuits versus the United States being heard exclusively in a DC court is faulty logic. DC is not the United States. The United States consists of 50 states and any of the many states are just as much a part of the U.S. as DC (if not more). It seems to me that lawsuits vs. the United States should be heard throughout the country. In essence, I do not think that the DC courts are necessary.
It is my thought that lawsuits involving the United States could be heard in the other circuits, perhaps on a rotating or random assignment. This would get these cases in front of a variety of judges and juries more representative of the American public.
So my question is, what would the process be to have the DC Federal courts dismantled and their responsibilities scattered and decentralized to other regions. Does it take an act of Congress? How would the process of eliminating these courts happen? Or at a minimum, have cases vs. the United States rotated to other circuits. I realize this would not be an easy process but I would be interested in learning how it could be accomplished, at least theoretically.
It seems to me that this should be a primary focus so that other plans and lawsuits have a fair chance once they hit the court system.

“DC” should not have its own judicial district at all. Such a thing cannot be anything but an instrument of politics. As we now plainly see. Cases should be heard on a rotating basis in the Courts of the States from which the District was carved.
Article III of the Constitution states:
Section 1. The judicial power of the United States, shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish…
Section 2. The judicial power shall extend to all cases, in law and equity, arising under this Constitution, the laws of the United States, and treaties made…
The USDC in DC exists to handled cases arising under federal law. It is not required that the district courts only be in states.
Suits against the US for monetary claims are generally filed in the US Court of Claims, which is in DC.
Suits claiming a violation of federal law could be filed in any district court. That’s why the left went for San Francisco judges to challenge Trump administration regulations.

I should have expanded my question a bit. I didn’t cover the scenario of the government going after citizens.
Take J6 as an example. These are all the U.S. vs. Joe Q Citizen and all heard in DC. My premise is that Joe Q Citizen has no chance in a DC court. If there was no USDC, the case could be heard somewhere else. That somewhere else being just as much a part of the United States as DC.
So, if I understand Art III, Sec 1 …. An Act of Congress can establish the inferior courts and one would assume that Congress could similarly eliminate inferior courts. Is that how you would interpret that?
