Man, WP… I could never do “meekness”. I wish I could. I always envied the man who could walk into a room, command attention and never once raise his voice. Of course, if a woman raises her voice, she’s “irrational”, yet if a man raises his voice… it’s different entirely. But there are those, who just stand really tall and can make their point, exercise their argument or debate, and do so without the slightest twitch of heightened intonation. Power houses, those are.
I seem to mellow as I get older, but I still feel like the chicken in the hen coup warning that the wolf is near. Screech, screech, screech, flap, flap, flap. I’m not really sorry for it, though. If I sense danger… I don’t hold back.
What does that life look like when the “man of the house” can fight the battles for you and you can just be the damsel. I’ve never known that life.

Bad news in Indiana this weekend with the ascension of a “wolf” in sheep’s clothing and it hit me hard. I’ve warned all I could… nothing like acrimony on a first name basis with the 2nd in command of the State. Made a comment that he should only be put in charge of ribbon cutting ceremonies at day cares… and not let anywhere near policy.
The depravity is really rampant sure as the noses on their faces. I have come to the conclusion that I hate the friendly-fire from the RepubliCons more than the insolence of the DemonRats, for it is they who allowed this to go unchecked undermining our Republic. They were supposed to be our first line of defense with awareness and witness to all the demoniacs’ policies and agendas – and they were cowards. This never-ending need to get re-elected and utter failure at serving and doing the work.
They are recycling a fleer of the Chinese Communist Regime as a speaker at the local caucus. The very communism they are aiding and abetting. If I hear of another garden party invitation, I will scream.

You know, the kind you buy on the border in Tijuana – or at least you used to. Cute. Delicious. Flavored with… carmine… cochineal extract. It is also found in Ocean Spray juices a lot, too. Blah! Pluh! Pluh! Pluh! Kiddo didn’t know what to do with herself. The dichotomy of mind over flavor. She has eaten a tempura softshell crab though… whole. It’s different when it’s breaded and you didn’t see it before it got that way. ROFLOL

I don’t tend to raise my voice as often as in the past, but, never have experienced damsel in distress mode. It has always been my role to address the injustices or confrontations that have arisen. Yes, it’s tiring, but, accepting the role is oftimes easier.
My daughter is an advocate for domestic violence victims – she’s a fighter. Guides these families through court proceedings, helps them with orders of protection, finds shelter for them, and provides counseling. She occasionally thanks me for being the way I am, so that she could see advocacy as normal!
Funny enough, my son hates and avoids confrontation or discord of any kind, and will call me to ask advice. He’s one of the kindest most giving people you are likely to meet.
We all have our place in the grand scheme.
But with a DAISY on top, dontcha know! LOL (hugs)

I don’t believe “meekness” means talking quietly. It means “power under control,” and that control doesn’t come from you; it comes from the Holy Spirit in you (recall that “self-control” is one of the fruit of the SPIRIT).
God will–and, in fact, does guide you to speak or not speak and when to raise your voice and when to speak quietly. The weak point for most of us is our reactions/emotional responses.
When I let my emotions lead me around by the nose, I am not walking by the Spirit. At those times (usually after I’ve made a mess of the situation), I have to go back and figure out why I reacted emotionally. Pretty much 100% of the time it’s because I am believing a lie about my identity.

I know this is before some Treepers were even born, but in 1955, we lived along the Naugatuck River in CT. When Hurricane Diane hit, we lived in a trailer park, fortunately several hundred feet higher than the river.
It spilled its banks by 20 or 30 feet. In the town of Naugatuck, there were watermarks above the second storey. My Dad took my brother and me to the top of a hill nearby to see. There were coffins and entire houses roaring down the river bed. I can still see I in my minds eye.

As you know I share with you all that I know regarding the War in Gaza.
While I sometimes feel like a representative of Israel and as such I want Israel to look good, this time I will share the “dirty laundry”, those things that one would rather keep at home.
I took my time and translated the following news program from Channel 11 in Israel. Hopefully it will not be flagged with “Copyright”. If it does I will leave it for 24 hours and remove it. So don’t miss it.
Israeli Intelligence knew the entire 10/7 plan down to the smallest detail. Everything, even the exact number of people who will be abducted. This is not a conspiracy theory. We have factual evidence.
This brings to view the question of “How could it then happen?”
The common answer is a “criminal negligence of the high Command”. But it raises suspicion of an actual traitor in the high Command. And it raises other questions like “could the High Command who have sinned so badly actually raise to the occasion now and get the job done? So far the Commander of the Gaza Division of the IDF resigned (only a couple of weeks ago) and the Head of Military Intelligence who is blamed for knowing and not acting on it resigned in April.
This is not the end of it. There will be a major national investigation at some point. We are dealing with “treason” if treason is defined as “betrayal after trust”. The Chief of Staff is also responsible. Anyways see for yourself. Hopefully my translation is good. Let me know if I made English errors.

The Investigation will answer your question. But the Head Of Military Intelligence was the worst. He was woken up on 10/7 when he was in a hotel in vacation and dismissed it all and went back to sleep. The Gaza Division Commander was also accountable. They both resigned and if you ask me should go to jail.
But the Commander of the South should go and so does the Chief of Staff. Also the Defense Minister and many others in the Command of the IDF. But all the last few Chiefs of Staffs were also responsible for making the IDF a “Small and technological” Force. We are now having to conquer areas and leave them and then Hamas comes back and we raid again. There are not enough soldiers to hold the areas. Missing tanks, we had a Chief of Staff who closed something like 12 Brigades of Tanks and Infantry, exactly what we need now. They all had the idea that “no more major wars”. The odd thing is that in 1973 it was similar, The Egyptians conducted “training drills” which turned into a terrible war. The Mossad had the Intel and it was not acted upon because the Mossad made a false alarm before so now no one wanted to cancel the Yom Kipur holidays of the soldiers.
Things will change this time, they have to.

Well. Israel only had one Death Penalty in its history and that was the architect of the Nazi Final Solution, the Holocaust, Adolf Eichman. The death penalty for treason does exist in the law but for that you would need to get an actual spy, not just someone who was criminally negligent.
Those people thought that Hamas are not a real threat and the fences and technology and bases are sufficient. At night the intelligence spotted about a 100 Israeli SIM cards activated in Gaza and someone high in the command decided that its “not a big deal”. Those were terrorists with SIM cards who used it to stream videos and comm from Israel.
There were also alerts from lower level Observation female soldiers previously, alerts of what they are planing and the high command of the Intelligence dismissed it and someone even threatened a soldier with discipline if she doesn’t shut up with her paranoia.
There was also a major failure to send air support for hours. I was in the Air Force in a Standby Unit and we could have a jet fighter in the air in about one minute from the moment of the siren.
You could relate it to the chaos which resulted in the attack on the Bases in the South. Broken Communications but there is no excuse really.
The Military also reduced the Standby Units in the Civilian Villages around Gaza and I think pulled out some of the weapons because it seemed “not necessary and liable to be stolen”. There is a Liberal Progressive stream in the military at the high command. It was fully exposed now.
I mean we are talking about some inconceivable negligence and idiocy and treason.
I pray that the National Investigation will not be conducted by the ex-generals who are friends of the responsible generals and of the same liberal school of thought. This was a part of the problem.
The High command in the military used to promote each other and have a certain frame of mindset.
It is now apparent and hopefully will change. The war is making new heroes show up. Heroes that will lead Israel in the future. Shalom.

One question for you: Did Netanyahu know about the October 7 attacks prior to or while they were occurring?
Many people are blaming Netanyahu, but I’m not sure that’s accurate. Logic says that the generals who decided the attacks were “no big deal” most certainly would not have spread the alarm to others (including the PM).
I heard from reliable sources in Defense that it was the opposite. The generals all said that “Hamas is deterred so nothing is predictable”. But the answer to your question should be looked into by the Investigation Team once they are appointed. But I need to hope that this team will be neutral and without agenda or personal friendship to the accused Generals. We will know when the time comes. Bibi is responsible to letting Hamas grow to what they are. The fact that generals gave him calming ideas is no excuse. To his defense would be told that Israel did not have an internal and international backup to go to a full bloody war against Hamas previously.
On the other hand Bibi felt comfortable that Hamas is in Gaza and Palestinian Authority is in the West Bank so that there is no unified front of Palestinians in the world. Israel permitted Qatar to flow millions of dollars to Hamas and that was Bibi and the Defense Establishment who thought it’s keeping Gazans paid and satisfied.

David: Thanks for your excellent reporting and commentary. Treason would be collaboration with foreign powers or foreign enemies of Israel. Sedition would be internal action against the State of Israel, not involving foreign powers or enemies. Criminal negligence would be failure to act that goes against one’s legal duty. Command failures would be the result of poor judgement.
In the months before October 7, some IDF officers, active, reserve, or retired, openly called for soldiers and airmen not to report for duty. This was sedition, and it was not prosecuted. This means that the prosecutors (probably all the way up to Israel’s Attorney General), disregarded acts of sedition.
We also know that high-level Israeli leaders were conducting “unauthorized” discussions with the White House, prior to October 7. This raises the possibility of treason.
As for criminal negligence and failures of command, these accustations should be easy to prove, and there should be many prosecutions and dismissals in the the IDF. The process should have started months ago.
The level of leadership failure surrounding October 7 is Biblical in magnitude.

Deep State in Israel would go after politicians who wouldn’t follow the Progressive Agenda. Even yesterday the Police revived a case from 4 years ago against a Right wing politician.
A car crash case. Ridiculous. Sharon the Prime Minister was also attacked legally and on media until he gave Gaza to the Palestinians and then the media left him alone and so did the legal case dropped.
The Israeli Deep State is a whole subject for a very long writing. It’s connected to international forces and getting international money in some places. For example the second in the last elections and head of the opposition, Yair Lapid is regularly meeting with the leader of France to coordinate actions. President Macron is from the school of Schwab, the World Economic Forum leader. Just like the President of Canada and the American Liberals and some Republicans too.
So in Israel it’s a bit different. They want to make Israel to a liberal progressive nation and not Jewish nation. Therefore to give land for peace even when that land becomes terror zone.

Wow! I just watched the whole thing. She basically covered all that I know with a few things that I was not aware of, like the depth of Hertzi Halevi (Chief of Staff) into the wrong side.
It was harsh to watch. Her explanation is why I stopped covering the vents regularly. Because it was demoralizing and even some “facts” that come from the IDF are not always 100% valid and it’s hard to determine.
To be honest with you, Israel is on the brink. It could get worse. A lot will be decided this November by the elections in the US. If Trump wins the munitions and pressure on the Israeli government will diminish.
The current situation in Rafah is not clear. There is the “talk of the Commanders in Rafah” that was on Channel 14 anonymously , and there is the report of the Speaker of the IDF. Opposing views. That’s why I have been quiet because the truth must be in the middle and I am waiting to see how things work out.
There is a lot of negativity going on after the 11 casualties but I am trying to keep rational and observe the overall picture. The Speaker is talking about 60-70% of Rafah under IDF control. When I see the tunnels to Egypt sealed or blown up I will feel better about reporting a win.
Israel fell in the past due to internal conflicts. I am hoping that history will not repeat. But Israel also fell when it went against the Romans and got retaliation later on. So one need to know the limits of his power.

DON’T THINK NOW, TAKE THE ROAD
“And Peter…walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid.” Matthew xiv. 29-30
The wind was actually boisterous, the waves were actually high, but Peter did not see them at first. He did not reckon with them, he simply recognized his Lord and stepped out in recognition of Him, and walked on the water. Then he began to reckon with the actual things, and down he went instantly. Why could not our Lord have enabled him to walk at the bottom of the waves as well as on the top of them? Neither could be done saving by recognition of the Lord Jesus.
We step right out on God over some things, then self-consideration enters in and down we go. If you are recognizing your Lord, you have no business with where He engineers your circumstances. The actual things ARE, but immediately you look at them you are overwhelmed, you cannot recognize Jesus, and the rebuke comes: “Wherefore didst thou doubt?” Let actual circumstances be what they may, keep recognizing Jesus, maintain complete reliance on Him.
If you debate for a second when God has spoken, it is all up. Never begin to say – “Well, I wonder if He did speak?” Be reckless immediately, fling it all out on Him. You do not know when His voice will come, but whenever the realization of God comes in the faintest way imaginable, recklessly abandon. It is only by abandon that you recognize Him. You will only realize His voice more clearly by recklessness.

The joy of the Lord is your strength. – Nehemiah 8:10
After 70 years in exile, the people of Israel were coming home. It was all hands on deck as they began their rebuilding program, but they were becoming discouraged.
In the midst of their activities, the Book of the Law had been discovered. Nehemiah called the people to assemble, and Ezra began a public reading of the Scriptures. One by one and then by the multitudes, the people grieved. Weeping with sorrow, they acknowledged their sins and repented, which led to a time of praise and worship.
They had a celebration—it was the time of the Feast of Tabernacles—and the result was great joy among all of them. Their joy gave them the strength to continue the rebuilding they had begun, just as Nehemiah told them, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Joy and worship are the natural result of your reading the Word of God. There is great power in God’s Word: power that helps you to face where you are in your life, power to draw you to repentance and worship, and power to create deep gladness and rejoicing within your soul.
That power is yours to receive, as you read what God has provided through His Holy Spirit with the intent to understand, honor, and obey.
Theologian J.I. Packer wrote, “My hope is for this passage to become a template for your everyday life. And… that template will be your daily story—praise, prayer, fellowship, sacrifice, hearing from God’s Word, and obedience.”
Even on days when you are inclined to weep over the nation’s sin-soaked culture and the futility of the world’s systems, time spent in the Word will remind you of the victory you have in Jesus. This will fill you with God’s strength to continue living the life that glorifies Him.
Pray for believers who serve in government to spend more time in God’s Word and claim the joy of the Lord as their strength daily.

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

On this date in 1862, seven federal raiders were hanged in Atlanta for the daring heist of a Confederate train two months prior. Among them were some of the very first Congressional Medal of Honor awardees.
In terms of its impact on the Civil War, the “Great Locomotive Chase” was a bust. But as pure Americana, you’ll have a hard job to top this caper.

She couldn’t answer the door immediately one day when the mailman came to deliver a package. No worries–my brother was hiding behind the couch, holding him up with a BB gun!

Update, got biopsy results back, and its good.
A few C cells, but NOT the whole thing, which would have been bad.
So is definetly treatable/survivable, and apperently the chemo is not nearly as bad as say, the ones for lung cancer.
Oh, and did something I haven’t done in 3 weeks, and lets just say I am not quite as “full of it” as I was earlier, lol.
So, thanks for the prayers, I had stopped the Ivermectine and Fanbanazole when I entered the hospital, but have started it again since it can’t hurt.

Be sure to check with your doctor to make sure your self-treatment does not interfere with your “medically approved” treatments. It would really stink to go through all this for nothing–meaning, if the two treatments canceled each other out!

Something has been bugging me a lot recently. I’d like to know if anybody can relate.
Just bought a new car, “for my safety” it tracks everything I do in it. Bought insurance for said car and unless I agree to let them have access to everything I do in the car, I won’t get insurance. My iPhone constantly badgers me for permissions, and wants me on the cloud. I steam TV and they always want me to start an account even if it’s free, so they can “better serve me”. You get my drift. It goes on and on.
It just seems like this has really stepped up just recently and makes me think something awful this way comes. Thoughts? I’m thinking prep work for CBDC.

Nope, you’re not alone. It bugs me, too, but on a smaller scale (i.e., I get frustrated with everyone thinking they need to know my phone number–NO, you don’t, so don’t even ask)!
I think I would settle for driving an older model car rather than have a car and/or insurance track my every move. My only suggestion is to start detaching from electronics as much as possible. In fact, go ahead and “steam” that TV! 😉
And by the way, it’s not just for CBDC–although that’s where it will start. The Bible talks about in the end times, no one will be able to buy or sell if they don’t have the “mark of the beast.” That may sound like fantasy to you if you don’t know much about the Bible, but I assure you, that the Word of God is accurate, and this attempt to track your every move is the beginning of that system.

Marketing people have always prized information about their target market segments and/or demographic segments in order to sharpen their advertising strategy and messaging. The internet and wireless technology has opened up a new more direct method of gathering that data down to individual consumers.
Insurance actuaries have always used accident and police citation statistics to measure risk for various demographic groups and geographic areas etc. The GPS technology has completely opened up the ability to track an individual vehicle’s movement with respect to 4 basic areas: number of miles driven per trip, per week, month and year; number of hard braking incidents, number of fast acceleration incidents, and how much time spent driving at nighttime compared to your total time driving. The app in a smartphone can measure all of that and this is apparently just what the actuaries need in order to determine your insurance cost. Of course, age, location, garage use, make and model of vehicle also count but the electronic app collects the actual operating data for every trip.
I have such an app on my smartphone and let it run (only while I was driving) for 4 months, after which I was told I qualified for the maximum possible discount on my upcoming premium renewal- 40%. That is significant. If I want the same discount for my subsequent renewal, I need to keep the app running for every use of my vehicle. My wife also has the app on her phone for her driving trips.
Neither of us like it but then we are retired,on fixed income, and the savings are significant. Plus we aren’t going anywhere except shopping, the doctors offices, and to our sons house. Infrequently we might drive somewhere that’s not routine but I don’t care.
invasive? Yes. But then we have hard evidence that we are safe and conservative drivers in everyday driving. So that makes us lower risk than a jackrabbit lead footed driver who has miraculously avoided accidents or too many tickets. Plus it’s proof of our ultra low mileage driven. The insurance company doesn’t have to take our word on it.
You SHOULD be bugged by this. It is a violation of our 4th amendment rights under the Constitution.
You are RIGHT to be concerned about it and don’t ever let anyone talk you out of it.

Has anybody noticed the number of stories about programs that Congress authorized but for some reason they haven’t spent much if any ?
(hint 7 or 8 charging stations for $7.5 billion; high-speed internet in rural area where none of $4.25 billion has been spent)
Back in the old days, when inflation would creep into the picture, the first thing that would happen was that Congress would look to cut spending.
It is looking more and more like the Biden Administration has been cutting back on spending but leaving the money on the books to be spent later.
Brilliant observation. We need to try to keep an eye on this to see what they spend it on.
Or the money is being reallocated… elsewhere. Who would know? When was the last time the budget was balanced?
