That’s pretty much a constitutional crisis – one state district Court Judge trying to control the events of a party Convention in a nation elections.

Maybe I can unconfuse you. We’re not sure what the underlying crime Trump was accused & convicted of. The main underlying one seems to be a federal election crime that wasn’t a crime. This is unconstitutional. An accused must know from the indictment what crimes he has committed from the indictment.
No state has jurisdiction to try a federal crime, & only the Federal Election Commission has initial jurisdiction to prosecute a federal election violation like campaign finance fraud. Hillary was fined $8,000 for the Christopher Steele dossier & the Russia-Russia hoax for expensing fees she paid in connection with those events as “legal fees” out of her campaign funds. In most instances, the payees were not even lawyers.
Trump was investigated on the NDA & the hush money payment by the Federal Election Commission & it was determined not to be a payment out of campaign funds. Tgere was no federal election crime. The judge refused to allow the Trump defense team to put on evidence he didn’t break federal or state campaign finance laws.
There was no evidence put on about tax evasion or election interference by the prosecution(Hillary won NY in 2016), yet the jury was given the opportunity to pick one of the 3 options & didn’t have to unanimously agree on just one crime. This is unconstitutional. Juries must convict on a crime unanimously.
Without the ability to claim an underlying crime, the misdemeanor of falsifying business records had tolled under the statute of limitations.
And this was completely different from Humper’s trial where the jury & the judge were not politically motivated to do anything but consider & convict on the evidence before them.
That isn’t what Trump got at all in a state case where the prosecutor campaigned on getting Trump & the judge’s family raises millions of dollars for Democrats on commission.
And we all know Humper’s not going to jail.
