It’s easy to be suspicious of some of these unexpected people endorsing Trump and if they have mischievous or self serving alternative reasons.
You have some Hollywood, Silicon Valley, Wall Street banking, black rappers, ex Black Panther founder, hispanics, prior felons, and under 30, etc.
Steve Bannon once said that maga is about economic populism….and that economic populism unites us all.
Maybe that is what we are seeing in this odd coalition coming together. Just maybe. I always look for silver linings.
I told my brother and dad a couple months ago that the only universal truth in all politics is, economics. Economics doesn’t care about diversity, inclusion, if you are conservative, LGBTQ, black, hispanic, etc.

I don’t trust their endorsements either. I think they are looking at the lawfare against President Trump and realizing they too can/may/will receive the same treatment. Their money no longer protects them from malicious, perverse political targeting.
I have voiced my concern about this to friends recently. It seems unnatural.
Obviously our survival is on the line.
Obviously we only have 150 DAYS left to re elect President Trump and if we fail to do so we will not survive.
Consequently, looking these much needed gift horses in the mouth rather than giving thanks and offering prayers of gratitude is a VERY puzzling and potentially poisonous reaction.

We had the chimneys swept twice a year. The lad who cleaned ours was known as “Rhys the Sweep”.
I would bake the day before he came so that he would be supplied with something delicious, fortified with endless cups of tea.
We’d chat while he swept and put the world to rights. He had business cards which he carried loose in his pocket. So when we finally left our beautiful home to come here we gave him a very nice card holder…one you’d expect someone in banking or finance in the UK to carry. He was thrilled.
I’m sure 18 years later he still has it. He was one of the sweetest people we have ever known, truly the salt of the earth as those who work hard in dirty jobs tend to be.
I have more respect for Doug Burgum knowing he rose ” from the ashes” of his University job. That job gives him a higher caché in my mind. Nothing like real world experience in a job like sweeping to keep one grounded. Hope at some point he put it on his resumé and keeps it there to remind himself what’s it was like to have little.

While not an absolute, I do see one distinction between, well US and THEM as being;

There is something that clarifies the mind and focuses the thinking, when engaged in employment that could get you or others hurt or killed.

I wasn’t “too stupid” just broke.
I can say there are a number of those signs around my employer’s production facilities offsite and the main yard itself.
There is also a dichotomy that I have noticed. Even though the company’s workforce is unionized with all that entails, there is a not so insignificant MAGA contingent on the ground. I see plenty of evidence for that on the blue collar side.
I’ll leave a thought here, there is something about having to work for an honest living that focuses the mind in more productive directions.
The only reason you were warm is because you sat six inches from the fire. We had a Rayburn in our kitchen and that is where I got dressed when it was cold, I would sit on it if I could. No central heat and an outdoor toilet until I was about eight. Had the biggest spiders in it too. I can survive anything now as long as I have running water in the house and a flush toilet.

All the talk of “revenge” and “retribution” is a throw. The proper term is “Justice” in accordance with the rule of law. In a Constitutional Republic, there must be Justice. It’s not optional, it’s mandatory.
Where there were so many violations against our country, I suspect that Justice will come through military tribunals. The show trials we are seeing against President Trump are clear displays that the Dept of Justice, in its current form, is not capable of delivering Justice.

I have worked in the floor installing industry for over 30 years. Many super atomic all American natural born citizens who install flooring on the big jobs hire illegals. That way, it can be claimed that US citizens installed the flooring. Walk down the hallways in any huge building construction or renovation and Spanish is all you hear spoken when in a flooring installation area.
Almost all are hard workers who can be trusted to work when the boss isn’t around and their workmanship is adequate or better.
I live in a relatively small town and you are absolutely correct. I am fortunate to know a lot of people like you who do these jobs no one else wants anymore. They make a crap load of money though and a number do hire illegals.

I’ve been watching the special on YouTube by Our Country, Our Choice, which features Colonel Macgregor. I’m only halfway through it, but so far, they are saying most voter databases in almost all states have been corrupted. It’s virtually impossible to know if registered voters are US Citizens. They also say, the NGOs at the Darrian Gap are passing out information about how to register to vote and get social security numbers. They also tell everyone to be sure to vote for Biden! These NGOs are largely funded by the US Government, so why is this allowed to continue? More importantly, how can we stop it?
In answer to “why is it allowed to continue” – the answer is because the current government doesn’t give a damn about the Constitution or laws of the nation and will do ANYTHING to stay in power.

I don’t know the issue of POTUS and VP from the same state. There is no law against it. It’s just a tradition to have each from separate states (one with large electoral votes is nice) so as to not kind of being redundant in the overall goal to win.
There does seem to be a quirk in the constitution when top vote getter was POTUS and 2nd place was VP, but this was undone in 1804 amendment. It had something to do with electors had to vote for 2 people and the elector couldn’t vote for 2 of his buddies in his state. Something like that. Undone with the popular vote/current electoral college thing.

I guess it can come into play in close elections. Seems Bush/Cheney was close, but Cheney got a Wyoming driver’s license which did help them get Texas 32 votes that they needed.
