Dr. Phil had a lengthy interview with President Trump, drilling down on how Trump deals with being the target of so much vitriol, hatred and weaponized targeting from every facet of the American system of government. I think the interview is being well received because the questions go beyond talking about the details of the targeting and focus on the emotional part of how President Trump and his family deal with it.

People refused to follow orders all over at all levels. My best example is the millions of doses of Hydroxychloroquine that PDJT got from India when they were saving it for their own people at the height of the Wuhan scandemic.

I actually have a friend who is a Trump supporter/voter who still watches F News (and only F news) and he excitedly asked me if I had watched the Hannity-Trump interview. I have told him thousands of times that I do not watch F News because they are the stealth enemy of PDJT to no avail.
Like so many others I have started removing those types from my circle. One person I understand, he is 80 years old, but the rest are old enough to have a clue. Same whenever I encounter anyone that is against the Russians and believes we should support Ukraine. I used to suggest they might want to read up some more, now I don’t even bother. My exact thoughts from hearing it. Trump’s response isn’t encouraging if we’re looking for accountability, though. If Phil will “be happy” with how Trump handles what Phil implores him to do then I know I won’t be happy. And what has been done will be done again. and again. and again. and again. Until someone decides accountability matters. I hope it’s Trump. But this interview doesn’t lend itself to hope fulfilled.

Dr. Phil seemed to actually agree that PDJT has been persecuted and my take-away, is that is why he gave PDJT the interview.
PDJT fell for nothing. He was most diplomatic in all of his responses.
IMO, Dr. Phil is a Trumper and this was his way of sharing the “good news” of PDJT with the main stream populace who, if it weren’t Dr Phil would not have tuned in. I think it gave a lot of positive vibes to many of that populace. It was a good thing.
I did say I was expressing an opinion on the optics as they appeared to me and as a non fan of Dr Phil.
But I agree actually, rita. He has to reach out to those who believe about him what isn’t true. For the same reason he spoke to the Libertarian gathering. He isn’t your run of the mill politician, speaking only to safe and approving groups. He will put himself out there for every single American to get his message across. I have to admit, it is one of my greatest struggles with the modern Evangelical Church. I know so many people, including my youngest son, who have seen blatant injustice done by pastors and elders and it has caused many of them to walk away from their faith. I know, logically, that God is more angered by it than anyone, but sometimes, it is very disheartening.

These people have committed REAL crimes – REAL people are REALLY dead because of their actions. They have broken the law. There need to be REAL investigations into REAL criminal activities. I listened to this this morning and I’m so glad he did. I have his recent book. I will say by reading his book there are some things he still needs to wake up on. But this will drive the communists nuts.
President Trump is not comfortable talking about his personal life and who can blame him. But just think about his wife growing up in a communist country and coming here with her family. His older children spent time with their grandparents in a communist country and all saw first hand the difference. I believe if he got comfortable with this message MAGA and others would really want to relate to this and understand. Have his father in law talk at a town hall or someone else in the family and what they saw or learned during those times. It would be personal but so informative if he would open up about it. Show a different side of him and why his policies matter.

I have mixed feelings about this interview, mostly focused on how it ended.
President Trump seemed to play along with the “forgive but not forget” theme that Dr. Phil was pursuing, but then Trump said that sometimes revenge takes time and revenge can be justified at the 1:06:38 mark.
If President Trump does not take down these perpetrators of high crimes against this nation in his second term, then we/he may be in big trouble (again) after he leaves office in 2029 (depending on who wins the 2028 election).
I understand that the first order of business for Trump is to get re-elected, and to appeal to as many voters as possible to achieve victory in November 2024. Hence, he needs to be careful with the revenge talk and focus on the public policy issues that matter to the majority of voters.
But, the crimes and treason that have been committed against Trump must be dealt with severly. President Trump must see that these are more than just crimes against him, but are heinous crimes against the entire nation and our Republic that must be severly punished.
