Oh No! Pope Francis used the F word!

Pope Francis allegedly told Italian bishops to not permit gay men to train for the priesthood, with two Italian newspapers claiming that the 87-year-old pontiff made a homophobic slur in a closed-door meeting last week.

The newspaper articles, which were translated from Italian, claimed the Pope had said there is “frociaggine” – which translates in English to “faggotry” – in some of the seminaries.

The Vatican ruled in 2005 that the church cannot allow the ordination of men who are actively gay or have “deep-seated” homosexual tendencies. In 2016, Francis upheld this ruling.

Two years later he told the Italian bishops not to accept gay candidates for the priesthood.

“And in that day ye shall ask Me nothing.” John xvi. 23
 
When is “that day”? When the Ascended Lord makes you one with the Father. In that day you will be one with the Father as Jesus is, and “in that day,” Jesus says, “ye shall ask Me nothing.” Until the resurrection life of Jesus is manifested in you, you want to ask this and that; then after a while you find all questions gone, you do not seem to have any left to ask. You have come to the place of entire reliance on the resurrection life of Jesus which brings you into perfect contact with the purpose of God. Are you living that life now? If not, why shouldn’t you?
 
There may be any number of things dark to your understanding, but they do not come in between your heart and God. “And in that day ye shall ask Me no question” – you do not need to, you are so certain that God will bring things out in accordance with His will. John xiv. 1 has become the real state of your heart, and there are no more questions to be asked. If anything is a mystery to you and it is coming in between you and God, never look for the explanation in your intellect, look for it in your disposition, it is that which is wrong. When once your disposition is willing to submit to the life of Jesus, the understanding will be perfectly clear, and you will get to the place where there is no distance between the Father and His child because the Lord has made you one, and “in that day ye shall ask Me no question.”

Asking for prayers for my younger sister who is only 55 who has been struggling with ovarian cancer for almost 6 years. When she was diagnosed, she was given no more than three months, and she has been blessed with all of this time. However, now she has an obstructed bowel and isn’t much pain. In addition to the cancer has overtaken her lungs, which makes her breathing very difficult and she is on oxygen 24 seven and currently in the hospital, I have called on Carlos. Acutis If he could help and intervene with some type of miracle. I know I’m asking for a lot, but I just hate to see her suffer. I would love to see her be the miracle That I have been so praying for. Her body is truly broken, but her faith and spirit are not! Thank you for thinking of her today – she needs a miracle! Her name is Tiffany and she is truly special 🙏💙🙏

Agatha Christie, Dorothy Sayers, Ian Fleming, John Grisham, and Dean Koontz are all storytellers who deal in mysteries. Many will read along the author’s narrative, trying to sort out the mystery as the story unfolds. Others, however, cannot resist turning to the back pages of the book to see how it ends. In some respects, the Bible contains a mystery in which many smaller mysteries are found. 

For example, God works in mysterious ways (Romans 11:25-32). God’s love is a mystery. His choice of Israel as a covenant nation to bear His Name is a mystery. Many of the prophetic revelations concerning the end times remain a mystery. The Greek word for “mystery” is not a riddle that needs solving but comes from mueo, which means closed or shut.

It speaks of a truth that is not discoverable apart from being revealed by God. Jesus did say there is a time coming when nothing will remain hidden, when all will be revealed (Luke 8:17). Theologian Charles Spurgeon wrote, “God is inscrutable; man is shallow. God is deep. Dive as we may we shall never fathom the mysterious plan, or exhaust the boundless wisdom of the all-comprehending mind of the Lord. We stand by the fathomless sea of divine wisdom and exclaim with holy awe, ‘O divine depth.’”

Give glory to Him today – the infinite, unsearchable, incomparable, invincible, mysterious, omniscient, merciful, and loving God whom you know, and in whom is life eternal. 

Many in America have turned their backs on God. Jesus described this sort, saying, “’You will indeed hear but never understand and you will indeed see but never perceive.’ For the people’s heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them” (Matthew 13:14-15).

There is still time.

God’s mysterious abounding grace is still available.

Pray for repentance and reconciliation for people across the country, “So that as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 5:21).

Rolling Memorial Day into today…remembering…

Memorial Day really moved me this year. Maybe because of where our country stands today, on the brink of dissolution from the principles of where it once stood. If we cannot win the war that besieges this country, then all these memories will be yanked away and all the lives that served to protect and honor will be for nothing. We are almost there as it is. Memorial Day should be every day, along with the birth of Jesus, and the Holy Resurrection. Every day we should remember and treasure these occasions, not just once a year. Our hearts are a witness to this.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Your enemies will try to cause more confusion and chaos so people do not know what is true and what is a lie. The time where two worlds collide, shaking becomes stronger and more intense to cause this great awakening. I’ve warned you about your enemies’ attempts to attack you and destroy the nations, to bring great oppression. I’ve warned about all that they would try to do to bring a great fear upon this earth to paralyze My people so you wouldn’t have the ability to fight back, a place where you are so afraid you’d buckle and surrender under their control. Heavenly Father in Jesus name. I wanna pray over each and every person that is watching this video. Heavenly Father, they are your children and they have been paid for, by your son, with that blood and with that name, and we thank you that have you are giving us these words of encouragement, you are giving us these words of truth that is breaking the chains and is breaking the destruction that our enemy has against them. We Thank you Father GOD that you have declared their victory. I’m in agreement, Father GOD, that they have the victory even though it may not seem like it. I Thank you Heavenly Father that Jesus has already set them free by the blood he shed for us on the Calvary. I wanna Thank and Praise you Father GOD that they have this greater revelation of who you are and whose they are in these days, what was supposed to be the enemy’s destruction what they wanted it to be but it’s not these are special days that you put on this earth and you chose each and every person who is watching for such a time as this and let them know without a shadow of a doubt Father GOD that you are the creator of this earth, and you are their father, that you have special plans for them and their something that you have for them to do in this world today and you ‘re going to move them to greater levels in and with you in Jesus name.

Since no one took up my challenge to prove that the NOAA Storm Prediction Center is corrupting their data I still believe they are doing a great job of keeping tabs on the actual situation.

The count is well above average so far. And there has been a higher proportion of significant tornadoes (EF-2 or stronger) than we have had in recent years. However it has now been over 11 years since an EF-5 tornado has been recorded.

Retirement!
Yesterday I had to drive to my new house my oldest granddaughter and her husband, Corbin and Jason, had built to pay the guys putting an epoxy coating on their garage floor. Corbin and Jason were down in Clarksville, TN getting moved out of the house they had rented there. Jason has a permanent job with the VA up here in Indy and Corbin is working on a masters degree. So we are blessed that they are now in a situation to move in to a new home about a 19 minute drive from us.

While I was doing that the workers from LeafFilter came to install the gutter guards here. I got back just in time to talk to them before they started work.

Then Jay arrived to install the transition strip from the laminate hall wood floor to the new vinyl tile floor in the larger bathroom. He had custom made the transition but the bottom edge of the door rubbed out on the latch side. I had taken it off and trimmed as much as I could off the back side on Steve’s table saw to make it thinner but that didn’t work.

So Jay came back and we took the door off and trimmed the bottom of it. And then once the door was put back on it was rubbing against the reveal about half way between the latch and the bottom of the door.

What has happened is that the all oak 6 paneled door was installed during the colder months when humidity in the house was low and the wood casing and door had expanded in the higher humidity we have now. Paneled doors do that worse than flat surfaced doors.

Jay made sure that all the screws holding the hinges were tight and removed one in the center hinge and put a much longer screw in that went through the casing into the 2 x 4 framing and that fixed it! This is the kind of thing one can expect when they remodel an older home. Details, details, details.

So today, weather allowing, I’m going to trim the lilac bushes. They finished blooming a couple weeks ago. Then I have to move some river rock in the bed their planted in and remove the castle rock edging in two places where downspouts from gutters come down between them.

Once that is done I’ll be ready for my brother to bring out his Bobcat with trenching attachment to put in the 9 trenches for me to install the underground tubing and diffusers in the yard. And then after after the soil settles seed it. And so finally I will have all downspouts routed underground away from the house foundation.

Then I’ve to to get my gravel drive fixed up. New gravel and ramp up to the 4′ curb of the covered apron at the entrance of the garage.

The next step is to get the inside of my new garage primed. Not going to paint it. Just use a good quality white primer to seal the wood and OSB. Then put in the racks, cabinets, work bench, and a new tool chest, and it’ll be organized.

We need to clean out the old garage and organize and throw stuff away. Later this summer Jay will install a new pass door, and one new window, and wrap the wood trim in aluminum, and I’ll insulate that old garage.
