I believe that some of them, Zuckerberg in particular, was probably taken into a room by our IC, and told, if you give us X amount of access to your data and software, we will makes sure you’re a billionaire. We will not only give you government contracts, but we will make sure all the other major companies we control, will buy endless advertising and other things from your business. Assuring that you are wealthy beyond your wildest dreams. In return you will have to go in front of Congress from time to time as a regular citizen and say “I didn’t know I couldn’t do that. One more thing to add to Sundance’s list:
Eliminate the DC Federal district courts altogether (other than the USSC). NO US citizen can get a fair trail in a place where 99% of the electorate is partisan to one political party, and views Federal prosecutors uncritically. Push all Federal courts out to the rural areas of the country, OUT of the captive and corrupt cities.
For that matter, curtail and reduce the power of all Federal courts on the Eastern seaboard. They hold an “undemocratic” monopoly on power and control of the Federal government.
And … for that matter, eliminate 2/3’s of the Federal government Cabinets/Department via consolidation and downsizing, eliminating redundant (and unconstitutional) agencies like the EPA and ATF altogether. Push the remaining departments out of DC, and relegate DC to the White House, Congress, the Pentegon (well, because it’s already there). Downsize Federal DC by 85%. Rotation major departments and agencies, every 10, 25, or 35 years, years in which ALL lease temporary and/or state facilities. (Shorter terms for less critical agencies; longer terms for agencies where the moves might be operationally disruptive.
And … I guess I could go on and on and on, but cashier 75% of the State Department, starting with 99% of the SES, most of the highest GS levels, working down to middle managers and lower level political partisans. (Marxists need not apply.)
And … abolish or reform civil service rules (i.e. NO UNIONS; federal employees work for the people, not their unions or political parties.
And … reform election fundraising laws. Entities such as corporations, NGO’s, and Unions are legally considered equipvalent to a “person” for tax purposes. However, they cannot vote as persons, so they shouldn’t be allowed an outsized participation via campaign cash and lobbying, compared to any individual citizen. Foreign nationals who own corporations and foreign corporations, should not be allowed to “vote” in US elections via their cash. The US citizens (NOT foreign nationals) who are shareholders, members, or officers of such entities CAN vote, just like any other citizen, one man (or woman), ONE vote. I’m not crazy about campaign fundraising limits, because I believe in FREEDOM, and such limits compromise freedom and are ritually abused to benefit political partisans.
So much more … because the Federal government is WAY too much, and is stifling American’s God given, and Constitutionally guaranteed freedom.
But … none of this will ever happen, even if Trump is elected, short of a bloody civil war that “resets” the democratic republic back to 1780 (plus a few obvious corrections).
Better yet, reduce the size of DC to encompass only parks,monuments, and government buildings.
No residential areas (period, full stop).
That way people will need to live in Maryland or Virginia.

Defund and eliminate all departments and functions not enumerated in the Constitution. The State governments largely duplicate the Federal, let them run and regulate themselves. Repeal the Federal Income tax, let the Feds beg money from the States, as the Founders intended.
Intelligence agency purge. One for the military. A new one for civilians with the requirement that no current intelligence officers above GS-5 can be retained. Let these rats work in a real job for once.
