In an effort to keep the Daily Open Thread a little more open topic we are going to start a new daily thread for “Presidential Politics”. Please use this thread to post anything relating to the JoeBama Administration and Presidency.
“This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may be that our task is impossible. Yet, if we do not try then how will we know it can’t be done? And if we do not try, it most certainly won’t be done. The Founders’ Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, will be lost.”
“But I tell you this: We will not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we will make with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from that day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.”
This thread will refresh daily and appear above the Open Discussion Thread.

“Georgia Defendant Harrison Floyd Catches Fani Willis in a New Crime! – Gives Her Until Monday Afternoon to Recuse Herself From RICO Case or Face Charges!”
“Harrison Floyd: Last week, my attorney and I made it public that district Attorney Willis very likely violated the Maryland Wiretapping Act, which is a felony here in Maryland. As far as we are aware, DA Willis did not have a warrant, and the call was not made in furtherance of law enforcement because I was already in custody. She simply broke the law.”
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/04/georgia-defendant-harrison-floyd-catches-fani-willis-new/
An update to the article states: “UPDATE: Harrison Floyd released a statement on Monday afternoon. He has not made a decision yet on whether to file suit against the crooked DA.”
Why wait?
Well, certainly the DA can ask. But I worry about all the insider corruption in that an ask becomes the decision.
What about Trump’s attorney’s ask?
Hmmm!
observation only:
i was looking into email from john cornyn, and i saw a pic down deep of him and dj palling up and shaking hands… i think i saw something about endorsed…. not sure.
ive never seen that pic anywhere else except cornys website…
i smelled a rat
Cornyn is a rat. Has been for years.
corny is a tried and true member of the “we wont mention his name” (rih – rest in hell) and McConnel coalition.
McStain is holding the door.
This is a must watch speech of Thomas Klingenstein; please view and share.
Wow. This was powerful.
I actually find his affect disturbing. It comes off as demeaning and sarcastic– perhaps through no actual intent. Still, this does not sound sincerely spoken. IMO
It’s not demeaning nor sarcastic to me Lorrie.
Maybe it is just his tone of voice — his natural voice.
It wasn’t his message –it was his voice that seemed strange.
Went back. Researched Tom Klingenstein. Listened again (in more depth) his analysis of Donald Trump. Really liked his evaluation of Trump the political phenom of our times. Was much more appreciative of Klingenstein’s insight and evaluation of our phenom — Donald J. Trump.
I found him to be very sincere and his message truthful, powerful and insightful.
Nice find. Even the (TDS) folks could appreciate this. Butt they won’t. ; )
In the bible it mentions people that cannot see or hear truth. Id say that is equal on both parts, for all.
Beliefs and feelings block our perceptions. As if evil can be blocked and we call it innocense so can truth, that would be due to our desire to forgo the evil in temptations.
Meaning you can easily block out sin but truth is inherently in us, we must work hard to block out truth.
Thanks for posting this. Powerful and truthful.
Excellent!
Thank you for posting!!

State-run grocery stores in 3,2,1……
They will be selling a wide selection of bug meat.
Coming soon, a full range of Soylent products including the ever popular Soylent Green.
And only if one’s social credit score is acceptable and one’s CBDC is accepted. Else, no food for you, comrade useless eater. 🙂

The businesses who decided to leave have most likely already filed complaints and warnings to the municipalities they encompass, likely 6 months ago. . This is just more BS by the Soros gang.

Cali/NYC are the testing grounds.
…“you can check out at time you like but you never leave.”
The state of California should be made to take the word “Republic” off of the state flag.
Sounds like San Fran Grocery Stores should get out now while the gettin’s good.
Yes. The time to leave is now.
Dantes…: That is exactly what will happen.
And under no circumstance reopen in that sewer.
This article is from April 30, 2023. Doubt things have improved much since then:
…..” Workers at a San Francisco Whole Foods Market were routinely threatened with weapons before the crime-plagued store announced it was shuttering after a little more than a year in business.
Records of 568 emergency calls to the Market Street store over 13 months showed chaotic incidents, including vagrants throwing food, yelling, engaging in fights and attempting to defecate on the floor, according to the New York Times.”…….
https://www.foxbusiness.com/retail/san-francisco-whole-foods-hit-560-calls-violence-drugs-vagrants-before-closing-report
What would it look like inside that store if all the EBT cards were “temporarily out of service” due to an unexplained “glitch in the government computer system”? Would the store even exist after a 24, 36, 48 hour interruption?
Didn’t that happen in Louisiana about 15 years ago?
These guys are turning into communists at the drop of a hat. Now they won’t even let you leave if the conditions aren’t economically viable…
Amazing.
They’ve passed non-economically viable and plunged into non-physically survivable.
It is an odd sensation witnessing the devolution of man, but here we are.
It’s never truly forward or back, it’s up or down.

Hey! I tried to be nice. Lol
Why do these very wealthy corporate chains not sue the Mayor of SF, and the Gov of CA for damages relating to their extreme reluctance to prosecute crime in SF?
They have deliberately created this malaise through years of failed policies.
SF did not accidentally land in this deep dark hole.
but the policies aren’t failed, the policies are strategic and purposeful
Who is John Gault
You know the Democrats are “reeling” when they have no response to my recent Statement on Abortion, other than, “He’s only kidding. He will change it” or, “He won’t do that, he’ll do something else.” I guess this means that we’ve WON because they are so bad on everything else that this is the only Issue they are focused on!
https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/112237633327773031
The only clown responding was Lyndsey, itching to weigh into the election with his moneymaker.
Lindsey, the ultimate RINO. He was the one who interfered in the 2022 election by coming out at the last minute to make some claim against ALL abortions. He did that to sabotage the 2022 election. And he basically succeeded.
EXACTLY!!!!!
Lindsay said the Federal Gov. would make the Abortion laws, and implied they would be very strict.
When it was CLEAR when ROE was overturned that the intent was for it to go back to the States.
Yeah, he threw us to the wolves for ’22. And the uproar continues til this day.
Hopefully, Trump’s statement today will quell some people’s fears about what may happen with a Trump Admin in 2024.
We need every vote we can get, if this country is going to survive.
And yet many say ;
“We must vote straight Republican ticket, even if it means ‘holding our nose’ and voting for RINOS, because WE must control House and Senate!”
or
“We must vote for any Republicans, because PDJT has endorsed them!”
So, if Lindsey was up for re-election in 2024, and if PDJT had endorsed him (he DID, last election!) would you vote for him in 2024?
Cause I would chew my fingers off, and rip my own arms off, before I would use them to vote for Lindsey, or Mitch, Mittens, Cornyn or ANY GD RINO, ever.
Even as I will crawl naked miles thru broken glass, scorpions, cactus and the mohave desert in hot summer, to scrawl in blood “Trump” on a ballot as my last act on this earth.
but hey, thats me,…
I am one of the commenters here who says those exact things.
I follow President Trump, and do as he suggests. President Trump is not stupid. If he asks you to go over Lindsey’s house to feed the cat … you do it! If President Trump wants you to vote for a RINO … you do it. President Trump knows more than we do and he wouldn’t ask without a good reason so stop second guessing him. Be a team player!
….and that ain’t easy at times. I detest people some of the people he endorses. But he 100x smarter than me, and has more data.
Amen. Same problem here in Maryland. Hogan is running and I am voting for him. He will vote Republican way more than a democrat will. Funny thing is, we will never, ever rid the swamp of RINO’s so we better learn to live with him.
Oh Heck NO don’t vote for Hogan! Vote for Flicker before that liberal lying POS Hogan! He is going to completely ruin the Kent Island area when he pushes through another span of the Bay Bridge there –thats the whole reason for him to be selected IMO
I couldn’t disagree more. He was wrong in March of 2020. I knew it then and I’m an idiot. Lots of other people knew to. He was deceived. No mater how smart you think he is, he is still human and susceptible to deception. Every (R) governor in the country should have second-guessed him. If they had, the mail in ballots wouldn’t have been allowed and Trump would still be president and the world wouldn’t be the complete s#!t-show that it is now. Im just praying that error in judgment doesn’t prove to be his fatal flaw.
That’s not exactly how the plandemic response went down @ dawg. It was actually the state governors who undermined the CDC’s original “two week” shutdown that had reluctantly been approved by President Trump.
As I remember it, President Trump stuck to “two weeks” but every state Governor defied him, adding more “guidance” as they went. This went on for the better part of a year, during which PDJT tried like the dickens to right the ship but nobody else listened.
In March 2020, at the very beginning of the lockdown, PDJT called Hydroxychloroquine a “game changer” but the CDC and other gubmint agencies fought him hard and the frightened sheeple swallowed their lies.
I didn’t. I ignored all the naysayers and I got my HCQ and Ivermectin. I fought the so-called mandates and I never missed a day of work.
I watched in horror as the entire world went batshit crazy. It was all those governors, the entire medical establishment and just about everybody *except* for President Trump.
Don’t let those traitors rewrite history.
Apparently President Trump can clearly see who and what Mizz Lindsey is and is now willing to own up to it. When was the last time you heard a World Leader, besides PDJT, admit fault for anything? Never. That is certainly one of his great qualities, among many many more.
“I Blame Myself for Lindsey Graham” – President Trump Blasts Senator Lindsey Graham Over Abortion Comments and Proposals”
Earlier today, President Trump released a statement on his positions for abortion and abortion rights.
President Trump stated on Truth Social that he believes the individual states should be allowed to make abortion policy.
President Trump: And in a third post President Trump blamed himself for Lindsey being in the US Senate today.
If he would only do that about Operation Warp Speed…

Paywalled.
Well worth the read…
“I factor 176 permanently Trumpian electoral votes, which includes Florida, Ohio, and Iowa, and a likely 235 when factoring in leaners (Texas, North Carolina, and Alaska). What this means is that Trump is going to need to secure 35 out of a remaining 82 electoral votes that don’t fall into the locked down or leaner categories to get back in there, and they are assigned to some of the most corrupt states in America. Wouldn’t it be nice if there were no such thing as a blue wall?
I’ve already debunked the likelihood that such a coalition should organically exist based on voting trends prior to 1992, but these states vote the way they vote because they have certain systems in place. For starters, every state in Biden’s blue wall has Automatic Voter Registration, and six rely on all-mail elections to get the job done. In states where there is widespread mail-in voting, there is always ballot harvesting – legal or not.” …

best to prepare accordingly

So, prepare accordingly is your remedy? Sit back, it’s coming so prepare.
One way to guarantee no change, is to sit back and assume it’s coming again.
Most of the change is happening at the state level. If you’re awaiting the 535 lying grifters or a compromised SCOTUS to to anything, you’re right. I don’t believe they are the arbiters of these outcomes.

I’m currently at an airport and overheard a guy saying his flight couldn’t take off because the aircraft lost all power. Thank goodness it happened at the gate so the passengers could get off.
Actually thank God it didn’t happen in the air!!
At the gate the plane might have been running off the airport’s ground power unit.
Que the meme: “I know what’s wrong with it….Ain’t got no gas in it!!!”
The Derps that pulled off the FSK sabotage blinked the power off a couple times while it was still docked.
I suspect just to create the impression that it was a defect with the vessel itself.
Further antics of this sort could go either way; to enhance the “see, this stuff happens” cover up excuse, or to illustrate our continuing vulnerability; I suspect it’s both.
Or, perhaps they were testing, to make sure their system worked?
They know.
I messed up and didn’t save the link, but one of our number shared an article from a decade past that bemoaned the extreme vulnerability of commercial ocean going vessels to hackings that could be effected without leaving a trace or the operators even recognizing that the systems were actually acting completely contrary to what their instruments were telling them; taking out a nation’s ports and infrastructure is child’s play.
Exactly like FSKB.

Many people assumed that all of this lawfare would eventually get tossed-out completely by some “superior” court. I think those people are being a bit pollyannaish.
I have no expectation whatsoever that any of this lawfare will get tossed, especially all the civil stuff. They can take his assets by court order and no other court will overrule. What court exactly will stop all of this?
I’m still waiting for the victories to roll in for Trump and it’s not happening. He keeps getting hammered. The system is totally rigged top to bottom.

One of the SC justices has authority over the NY court system. I’ve been waiting for them to step in and stop this nonsense. Google which justice it is and let’s start writing letters to them and their home if we can find it.
I think there’s a lot of fake news going on with this story.
As I understand it, the owner of Knight Specialty Insurance said that President Trump had put up the $175 million in cash as collateral. He originally was told by Trump that he would put up securities and cash, but in the end Trump put up all cash.
Some people aren’t doing their due diligence before reporting this crap.
Don’t believe me? Take it from CNN, lol. https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/02/investing/trump-bond-firm/index.html
I believe James is ruling them out on technicality, not collateral.
I also, as I said, assume he’ll be able to cure. If he put up cash, the underwriting ends.
You can’t believe Newsweek….Newspeak.

National security advisor Jack Sullivan’s “quiet” portfolio that he inherited from the Trump administration simply blew up. Biden is now scrambling to stop the Israeli response to the encircled Hamas remnants, trapped in their last redoubt in Rafah.
Biden is now replaying the 1950s CIA-stereotype of the “Ugly American,” as he does his best to overthrow the Netanyahu government, and to allow the trapped Hamas remnants to escape and claim they defeated the Zionist entity, despite butchering more Jews in a single day than any time since the Holocaust. No matter: the Biden administration is stealthily communicating with the Israeli opposition concerning the best joint strategies to force Netanyahu out. Mass protests in the streets of Tel Aviv attest to the success of destabilizing the current Israeli government.
Team Biden whispers to the media about slow-walking or stopping key arms shipments, abdicating America’s once protective role in the UN, or encouraging the “international community” to go after Netanyahu for “war crimes” for accidentally hitting a civilian team in Gaza. (By such logic, are Biden and Gen. Mark (“righteous strike”) Milley equally culpable for being in charge when a US strike in Kabul blew up 10 innocent civilians (including children) by similarly mistaken targeting?). Meanwhile, Biden keeps courting Muslim-American Michigan voters, who repay his appeasement with cries of “Death to Israel! Death to America!”.
Note how that says Muslim, not Christian.
Mass protests in the streets of Tel Aviv attest to the success of destabilizing the current Israeli government.
The Netanyahu government was assailed by the same Leftist forces the past couple of years, pretty sure the Global Derp State was heavily involved in that, including Israel hating bloody color revolutionist Zero.
Biden keeps courting Muslim-American Michigan voters, who repay his appeasement with cries of “Death to Israel! Death to America!”
That would be 0bama who agrees with them.
“I will stand with them [Muslims] should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”
(Barack Hussein Obama from “The Audacity of Hope”)
Judge Napalitano, Douglas Macgreagor and Larry Johnson, all of whom have accused Israel of committing genocide, stand with the Muslims too, including with even Hamas..
Napolitano, MacGregor and Johnson don’t stand for Muslims.
They made some observations based on information they have regarding the politicians and military of Israel that you don’t believe and/or do not like.
So you cast aspersions at them.
How very leftist of you.

I don’t see that.
Israel made it bed. They made a deal with the devil Intel and they maybe be paying for it
Really. How many times does it need to be spoken what the charter is for Hamas. End Israel and the infidels. Maybe you aren’t getting it, but a news story of death to America in Dearborn, Michigan. Yes in the good ole’ USA.
Keep supporting shutting down Israel. We already have it here.
People are starting to wake-up to the dire-straights the USA is in. Total convolution everywhere.
The one thing which hasn’t really faltered with significant alarm yet is the stock market. However, it’s a coming.
Once people realize their “Planner” tax-deferred retirement was nothing more but a scheme to make a select few very, very rich, all hell will break loose. I know this much, people are starting to get nervous about it.
Any red or green signal today?
Cal-Joe, I am on a red-light which may stay red for months and months before I get a green-light. The last green light I got stayed green for five months until I got a Red-light last week.
I never know “when”, but I will know “where”. In the meantime I am just along for the ride whatever the ride may be. I mean seriously, it is not rocket-science. People as dumb as me can do it.
Obviously, you have a tremendous amount of discipline and you’re anything but dumb, Fangdog.

The whole thing is psychological and it is the difficult part of it all. As far as the mechanical a 4th-grader can do it.
It has to do with how we have been conditioned. Self-sabotage has to be the number one determent. We think we don’t deserve it so we subconsciously sabotage any success.

Given the enormous sums of private and corporate retirement tied up in the market and controlled by relatively few market makers, I’d expect covert manipulation to be in full play, particularly to get that left wing of the Uniparty Congress elected even if Brandon doesn’t survive.
Glad I got out over a decade ago and it had nothing to do with money or profit, rather philosophy and economic warfare. It’s been an interesting journey. If I live I might tell the story one day.
Exactly! On top of the obvious manipulation the privileged insiders like Larry Fink, Blackrock, Goldman Sachs etc get tipped off by their privileged “friends” in the Federal Reserve and BLS as to both the latest data reports as well as the longer term strategy of both agencies before the news becomes public!
Gas prices jumped 40 cents locally today +13.3% in one day. Biden is gonna have everyone in the poorhouse that isn’t already!

When I moved to the UK, I discovered their cookies seemed to be made with no sugar. Quelle horreur!!
Gradually I came to love them…the shortbread biscuits (as their cookies are called) in particular.
When I returned stateside, I couldn’t WAIT to get my hands on Oreos.
Ate half a one, threw the other half away.
Waaaay to sweet!!!
What do you think of that??
I switched from regular sodas to seltzer water, with the same result. I can’t drink regular or diet sodas anymore. Waaaaaay too sweet!!
Zevia soda uses Stevia for sweetening, much less sweet, certainly less poisonous, and I find that the Ginger Root Beer is the least sweet and never provokes a desire to jump to sugary snacks, a very subtle taste.
It is good to avoid those addictive sweeteners.
I use frozen juice concentrate, reconstituted with soda water.
We stick to ginger ale, Froogie. Has a bit of bite and not too sweet. Only half half a glass with dinner. It’s enough.
Try Zevia Ginger Ale.
I think you’ll like it.
I will!!
https://www.zevia.com/products/ginger-ale
-Gonna try it
I dig their Ginger Root Beer too.
Us too Bets!
Never was a soda drinker, but on date night I will occasionally ask for the establishments finest ginger ale!
All I can tolerate! Although sometimes an ice cold beer is my choice!
We don’t drink, mouse. But plenty of beer has crossed my lips as I am a graduate of UT Austin.
When we lived in the UK we would have an occasional Harvey’s Bristol Cream Sherry…so civilized I thought.
BUT!! The BEST most enjoyable sip worthy drink I have ever had is Drambuie and ginger ale. I first had it in Scotland, and it has been my favourite ever since.
It has been a long time since I’ve hadnit…
And now, gosh darn it, I WANT ONE!!! 😂
Ha ha Bets!
I love your response and thank you ❤️
I am of Scottish background on both sides.
I have been all over, but before I depart this Earth, my last wish is to visit Scotland.
Sadly, based on current happenings there, I am dismayed that it might be a disappointing visit.
Nonetheless, if I can travel there, I will, the good Lord willing.
Was sippin on drambuie long ago
—with much delight
BUT
had one too many rusty nails… 🥴🤢🤮
so, no more of either one
Ginger ale with a bit o good whiskey on ice from time to time works.
-Sip it slow😛
Either or, dear Patience. With or without…whatever is on hand or whatever works 👍🏻😊
On our one and only trip to England I had a Pims with fruit and thought it was the most divine thing!
Vernors Ginger Ale!!!

I think that American food relies on smacking one’s taste buds with excess.
In Europe one can initially perceive blandness, ’til one adapts, recovers from expectations of excess, and discovers subtleties that delight and shame the over the top hypercommercialized offerings of the colonies.
I think I miss much.
Amen!! Tasting the food itself instead of the additives.
People make fun of British cooking. But I’ve always maintained that the best cooks are the ones who prepare food as it comes and bring out the best flavours of it.
To this day I have never tasted a roast dinner better than the ones my sister in law and her friends brought to the table.
The brilliant conversations we all enjoyed while eating was a bonus.
I assure you, there was sugar in the shortbread and the other biscuits too. Just not a bucketload.
Precisely.
Dear Bets,
My family relocated to Ireland in 1995. I loved going to the “En Shoppe” every single day to purchase our meals for the day.
We lived in a mansion. It was ridiculous in how large it was, but was what was available when we relocated. Needless to say, my husband’s company was paying the rent.
The people of Ireland were amazing, welcoming and so generous to us.
All this to say, after 2 years in Ireland, I have still never been able to eat the American, cookie, cake, candy or any sweet.
Their biscuits, really their version of a cookie, were so good with a cup of tea!
Oh I can believe it, sis!! What an experience for you and your family. And the memories which I know are as precious to you as mine are to me. And like your experiences with the Irish, mine with the Welsh people were the same. They took this gal to their hearts, which surprised me because they were not partial to outsiders. And for that alone, I will always love them. It was and will always remain the home of my heart as I never pass up a chance to say (hat tip to Sinclair Lewis who wrote, only more eloquently than I have, how sometimes one unexpectedly finds a place where one really should have been born.) 💕
Yes, yes, Bets exactly!
Most precious time in my family’s life.
I unfortunately got very sick there and had to return to the States for treatment.
My Irish neighbors rallied around my husband and children and cared for them unbelievably well while I was healing back in the States.
Such a major teaching lesson in my life!
xo
I know their Irish prayers went with you. Strong ones. It seems they were heard and answered. Angels are everywhere.
(Must edit…it wasn’t Lewis but Somerset Maugham who wrote so beautifully and who I paraphrased. Just to be correct 😉)
Inspired I’d say 👍🏻😁
Sigh…Coke never tasted better than when it came in a 6.5 oz glass bottle, ice cold.
And when it was made with real sugar instead of corn syrup.
Agree. Miss those from my youth.
Was great with a chilled snickers bar.
Which only cost 12 cents.
I can vaguely remember a nickel.
Used to walk to our town to buy a 50 cent Peanuts cartoon book and a snickers with my weekly allowance. Made 50 cents an hour babysitting, 1 kid, or 5, didn’t matter, and somehow saved enough money to buy a plane ticket from NY to visit my cousin in California, all of 13 years old, and flew by myself. I think about that and it seems like a different life!
It was a different life, Unicorn.
Very different.
Agreed Betsy. So glad I got to live it, and so sad my daughter does not. But she does love the stories, and That 70’s Show!
I remember .06.
Yes!!
When I finally found Dr Pepper in the UK after years of living there, BK, it tasted so much better than Dr Pepper here, which I loved. Discovered the recipe was different.
Interesting, no?
That is because in the UK its social healthcare, and here they don’t care because we pay 20,000% over cost for treatments/drugs. Its in the UK’s interests to keep you away from the doctor, or taxpayers would revolt.
Where did you live. Asking for me.
In North Wales, just outside Llangollen in a small village, about an hour from beautiful Snowdonia. But to be honest, everywhere there was breathtaking if one was in the countryside.
I am from West Berkshire and when I hear myself talk, I almost sound like a Somerset cider maker.
Ooooo arrrr, Kintbury 😁
When we moved here I told my Brit husband not to lose his accent (it isn’t a Liverpool one in spite of his having grown up in Birkenhead. His brother moved to Florida and promptly amalgamated his with an American one and it is awful. Keep on sounding like that cider maker is my advice.
Your accent is a valuable commodity, cider maker or otherwise.
(Oh, and this, I have often wondered when we converse or I see your name if you weren’t from across the pond. It was the -bury on your moniker. Glad to have confirmation 😉)
An icy cold 5¢ Cherry soda from a vending machine on a hot day…..memories don’t get much better than that. :0)
Nehi Blue Cream Soda was my fav sugar rush.
Root Beer or Cream Soda for me and my sisters. Big Treat.
No Coke or Pepsi, ever.
Never tasted a cream soda until I moved to Britain. Wow! Good!!
And Ginger Beer. No alcohol.
Think Ginger Ale on steroids!!!
Double WOW!!!!
And Root Beer Floats!!!!
YEP. That was actually the Special SPECIAL treat on occasional Friday nites.
RC Cola and a moon pie for us southern girls y’all.
RC Cola with homemade sugar cookies.
A rare treat in my youth.
What memories you all sparked today.. 🥰
A 5 cent cherry coke at the fountain at the local drug store in our country town of about 650 souls…order filled by the druggist who owned the drug store…didn’t have extra help. He just handled the fountain along with the medicine.
….with a giant glass mirror behind the ice cream bins—the irror went clear up to the ceiling
What a wonderful way to spend a nickel on a hot summer afternoon.
Our local pharmacist had a small drug store across from the hospital in a residential street; and he also had a small soda fountain. Same, Sharon…jack of all trades, master of each one.
Do you remember when sugar consumption made you nauseous? Not so with High Fructose Corn Syrup. It interferes with Leptin and people can now just eat, and eat, and eat! HFCS is now in everything!
YES me too and my sister worked the grill and served customers and she said it was the worst job ever!
No one ever tipped
But think of the education you received, TT!
ALL three of mine worked in food service in their college years, and my two oldest twin grandsons have done the same.
Nothing is as enlightening as that. You learn a lot about people (including the non tippers)as well as the hard work.
They were all the better for it.
I have worked in restaurants, I have worked in retail..both gave me a true appreciation for how the world really works! BTW, I am a VERY good tipper when I receive excellent service but I refuse to be guilt tripped by servers who completely ignore me until they present the bill, at which time they decide to be my long lost best friend!
Retail for me as well. I’m a good tipper, too. But we make an effort to chat straight away with those who serve us, get their names and remember them for the next time we go back. We have been very successful taking a server who perhaps doesn’t seem to have the best attitude and (I’ll say) teaching him or (usually her) about dealing with the public.
It is amazing to me as we wait for our food the now few times we eat at a restaurant how many patrons treat their servers as if they weren’t human. Also amazing to me is the state of the tables they leave. Food on the floor. Pig style conditions.
When our grands were small and if we ate out, we’d make it a point to stack our plates, cutlery, and superfluous papers to make it easier for whoever would be cleaning tables. And we always made a point of explaining to them why we were doing it.
Older now, they do the same. And as the lads are on the other side of the table, so to speak, they completely understand.
YES!! It was always very easy, as a server, to see the people who had NEVER been in any position of having to learn how to be polite to others! I learned from my father, who was the consummate gentleman, that it was just as easy to be kind to people, and it very often resulted in better service, even though that was not his primary motivation. (And as an added bonus, I learned very quickly WHICH local businesses I wanted to patronize, because I found the owners to be fair, generous people as opposed to those who talked down to me and often left paltry tips. That told me that they were cheap and would probably treat their customers badly, if they thought they could get away with it!)
Your father and mine must have been related somehow, sis. It was from him that I learned how to treat those who weren’t in a position to talk back. The mark of a gentleman I always thought…or lady. He was a tremendous tipper I might add. He never forgot a name or a face. And of course they knew him and always gave their best.
I was glad to pass that t lesson on. Otherwise known as treating others as one would wish to be treated . Right? Right… 💕
Absolutely Right!! 😍
👍🏻 😊
vikingmom: I was a lousy waiter at Howard Johnson’s one summer, during school. I didn’t like anything about the job, except for the fried clams.
uh-oh.
Us kids did not know we were supposed to tip.
Please tell your sis, I’m sorry!
Way before the Coke company went full blown loony.
The monumentally stupid recipe change was their Waterloo.
Things go bitter with Woke.
LOL….
WORDMAN will be envious 😁👍🏻
Im old enough to remember going to the airport, checking in my luggage (at NO extra cost), and walking to the gate without ANY security to hinder my progress.
Ah yes… Back when flying was fun!
We dressed appropriately when we flew long ago, Tim. our self respect demanded it.
Now?
Well….you know.
Yep. I actually had that in ny comment an deleted it before I posted!
And then walking out to the tarmac to board the plane via the stairway that was wheeled up to the door, rain or shine? 😂😉🤔
(That’s how old I am)
I remember going to our local airport to pick my dad up off his flights from attending medical meetings. We’d stand as close to the chain link fence as we were allowed as the nose of the plane (prop propellers back then) got closer and closer…
Good times…
When I was a kid, my dad would take us to a Heathrow and we would be on the roof watching the planes land and take off. We thought he did it for our entertainment.
OMG!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!
My husband and his mate used to cycle from Birkenhead to the Mersey ferry then on to Speke Airport to watch the planes. One time his dad had to drive over in his three wheel van to pick them up because both tires on my husband’s bike went flat.
Much later he would take his two boys to Manchester and Spend to watch the planes land and take off. Both lads had muscular dystrophy and are gone now. But they really loved it…until the roof they watched from was closed to the public…
Joy crushers lived even back then decades ago.
Speke…not Spend.
Autocorrect has never been in Britain 😎
So do I, so do I…
The good old days.
Which lately I find myself dwelling on more and more.
And the ashtrays in the armrests.
I remember the 10 cent Grilled Cheese at the Woolworth’s lunch counter!
We walked downtown as 6,7, 8 YO’s *by ourselves* and ate them on the way to the Public Library.
I was a picky eater, but they were delish!
Yep me too we walked all over town by ourselves and did everything by ourselves up and down the neighborhood and into the nearby park. I feel really sorry for today’s kids. Parents full of fear and paranoia. So sad.
I am sorry for them, too, Littleflower. But I think that fear is justified these days, especially with open borders (I am in Texas).
There are a couple of stories I could tell about just how close mothers I know came to wondering who had their children.
1962 Rode street car and bus to downtown and job. Stopped in Woolworth’s counter for hamburger and chocolate coke. Went all over downtown St. Louis and never gave my safety a thought. Even in 1980 I parked several blocks from my office and never had a problem going and coming.
Memories, memories, sunnydaze…otherwise known to me as “mental cocktails”.
Drink up, sis!!
“Mental Cocktails”.
Indeed! I like that!
Courtesy of my beloved mother in law, now long gone. If ever she was worried or down (which she never showed) she’d say, “I think I’ll have a little mental cocktail…” and she would remember.someone or an event from her past.
That’s the only way we knew she had something occupying her mind.
I adopted it immediately.
I remember when all gas stations were full service.
When my Dad was 12, he took the train from Leavenworth Kansas, to New Mexico, took a cab to Carlsbad Caverns, took the tour and came back home again by train, all by himself.
that was in 1934.
I remember those, dutch! The service station guys would advise my mother if they saw anything untoward.
As for your father’s adventure (bet he saw it as one) self sufficiency was a tremendous lesson to learn back in hi s day. Somehow that one has dropped through the cracks as times have gone on. And that’s a shame.
If you bought enough gas you would get a free set of glasses or something.
Or maybe greenstamps for your book..?
We had some friends growing up and the father put a coke machine on their back porch. It was one of the ones that after you put the money in, you pulled the bottle from the slot by the head. They always kept a cup of change to feed through it. We knew when the coke truck turned onto their street it was fill up time. Every kind one for their house! 🙂
You know, dear sir, as I was reading your description I could actually feel in my hand that bottle head. I remember the anticipation when we knew we as children, would be allowed to have one. Sometimes that anticipation almost exceeded the pleasure of actually drinking that delicious dark brown refreshing liquid.
What a brilliant story 👍🏻
I can’t believe out of all these comments, nobody on here reported on putting peanuts in their coke.
Heard of it, midget…never tried it 😊
I did but I’m late to this “memories” party,
Isn’t it fun, Dixie??
Thank you! Also the balloons with the Banana Split price inside. The great memories.
My goodness, I’d forgotten about banana splits…and the price in the balloon!! I remember ordering one, my dream of glory, thinking I could get through it. But my eyes were quite a bit larger than my stomach. And so, alas, I left quite a bit behind.
And now that you’ve reminded me, the price I paid was darn near the regular one. A disappointment I can tell you
:(((((
Oh my goodness. Me too.
Our town had a wonderful Woolworth’s. Mmmm the famous Patty Melt with fries. 😋
The taste never leaves you.
This is hilarious…..

Yes, the lady actually replied she would vote for Putin over Biden.

It was working.

He gave a hint in his Site Notes post last week, Sue.
He’s fighting the good fight against tech censors I suspect 🙏🏻
Oh he is.
We here can do our part and support his efforts by maintaining the fellowship, and for those able, to keep the site online with financial donations.
Absolutely!
I’ve contemplated suggesting we strive to offer a tenth of a tithe.
I like the idea of striving to offer a modest sacrifice for the blessings this site provides and portends.
Always, R F 👍🏻
And what a beautiful fellowship it is, my friend. I know of no other place like it 💕
Thanks, Betsy
You’re welcome, Sue…
I miss him, too.

You’re awfully quiet today!
The hamas celebration was premature.
Netanyahu: The Date Is Set for Attack on Hamas in Rafah
https://www.breitbart.com/middle-east/2024/04/08/netanyahu-the-date-is-set-for-attack-on-hamas-in-rafah-gaza/
“Today I received a detailed report on the talks in Cairo. We are working constantly to attain our objectives, first and foremost the release of all of our hostages and the achieving of total victory over Hamas. “This victory requires entering Rafah and eliminating the terrorist battalions there. This will happen; there is a date.”
~ Bibi
Finish it!
Judge Napalitano, Douglas Macgreagor and Larry Johnson will be so unhappy if Israel goes into Rafah and wipes out the Hamas there. .
2 Samuel 5: 20:
So David went to Baal Perazim and ·defeated the Philistines there. David said, “Like a flood of water, the Lord has broken through my enemies in front of me.” So David named the place Baal Perazim [“the Lord of the break through”].
Good is the Word of the Lord!
1 Samuel 30
8 David inquired at the Lord, saying, “Should I pursue after this raiding party? Will I overtake them?”
And He answered him, “Pursue them, for you will surely overtake them and will surely recover all.”
Amen!
This 2-minute video may have been posted before — if so — my apologies for repeating.
https://www.bitchute.com/video/J8vZF2fBlI3l/
This video shows the military extraction of Airman Lance Castle — extraction from his military cell — where he had been held for refusing to take the Covid-19 vaccine.
Corporal Castle was later acquitted of all charges — found Not Guilty.
That is the good part.
The horrifying part was watching OUR military personnel retrieve him from his ‘cell’.
I have watched this video over & over again — and have been horrified each time.
THIS action was OUR military — on command. Doing what they were instructed/trained & told to do — to — an innocent man.
Now, ask me if I feel safe.
Now, ask me if I trust our military.
Yes, this was posted earlier and I saw it on TGP. I was horrified also.
Please do not allow your sons/daughers/grandchildren, etc to enlist in this evil enterprise. Shame on those who did this. Shame on your families. They need to hang their heads in shame for having raised young men like these evil instruments of Satan. Shame.
This vet agrees 200%!
Talked one of my grandsons out of it. He was very keen to join.
My work here is done.
Good news indeed.
Its disgusting, and no, I do not trust the military, or respect them anymore. They have zero excuses for anything.
The Internet shows them what they are fighting for, and no one is a hero for fighting for corporations, and in doing so obliterate children, and families, and their means to survive. FK them all!
‘Merica is just the biggest Patsy for the globalists money making meat grinding endless wars .
I met a young Syrian Christian fellow today , hardworking .. says the people can’t afford even basics , starvation near . 25k tons of gold below the ground , oil rich .
There was no need to destroy that country .
Assad is still there by design . Could have taken him out if they really wanted . They always need an excuse to keep the bloody wars going . Whether it’s Hamas or Isis or AlQaeda .. it is all a part of Their design , their ultimate plan to control every valuable resource .
People cheering an Ecclipse , dumb as rocks , failing to see the handwriting of the Divine in the sky screaming Justice , Merica turned her back on mercy . Time is soon up .
Regretably, I DO trust our military, and LEO, to do as they were trained, and follow orders,…
Yes, they’re well trained, well-supported with substantial resource depth, and with a supply chain in the private sector. Formidable if/when their chain of command instructs them to come after one or many patriots, as we’ve already seen.
I would not count on any standing with us. If they have I’ve yet to see it, whether against fellow solders/LE or the Communist mercenaries.
However, we do have one wild card that doesn’t have to answer to the unified chain of command; the 20 million+ retired/discharged ex-military and ex-LE out there.
I’ve been reading about ex-mils, even older ones, getting contacted about reserve status or re-upping., this from the vets themselves. IDK if that’s accurate or widespread but it is concerning.
The means of defense against foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people.
– James Madison
IF it’s legit, that’s horrible. However, as someone who has seen a few extraction videos, it looked like a training exercise to me. I hope I’m right. My reasons below.
I didn’t see Castle throw punches, passive resistance doesn’t merit a team response. ‘Remove your blanket.’ was the order, but no blanket over the window? Only blanket was on the bed.
Second, lack of protective equipment for the team going in. Helmets, kneepads, elbow pads, and cut-proof gloves, at least two shields/pads would be a minimum.
Third, that’s the cleanest cell I’ve ever seen (maybe because it’s a military prison? No personal effects seen).
Fourth, they let Castle roll over and stand on his own. Standard ops would be to restrain until put on an exam table or restraint chair for medical exam.
Stay the heck out of the military. They are fully converged and corrupt.
The Dumbasspora abides.
Donde esta Colkitto?
He’s a busy man, works eleven hour days during the week.
Definitely one we miss when he’s not around.
Anyone heard the underlying story? DJT’s $175M bond rejected and James is ready to start seizing properties. Some technical issue.
Some fabricated issue.
Leticia was big mad that they hadn’t cut off every avenue for PDJT to avoid their traps.
Letitia has a problem with the CA donor who brought the money in. A panic and spiteful move by a detestable leftist hack DA. She wont succeed and she knows the further it goes in the appeal process the more likely she loses.
Remeber…….the process is the punishment. She Engoron hoped the astronomical penalty amount would be beyond Trumps ability to pay and they could go about siezing and liquidating Trumps property for barfain basement prices and for maximum media exposure. That plan got ruined.

Based on the battlefield experience of the two armies? NYET!
The Soviets showed the Nazis the futility of ‘blitzkrieg’ on Russian soil and also showed them the full measure of what Slavic barbarism could do to enemies.
IMO, Putin has been enormously restrained considering all the factors, including that his country is ringed with U.S. and NATO military bases.
Anyone who is fantasizing about attacking them better get started now since winter comes early there. 🙂
Anybody know what’s going on with Sundance? Ad rem?
Kinda craving some real news out here.
Our International Man of Demystification is being all mysterious and stuff.
All I know is that it’ll be worth the wait for the reporting.
For as good as it is, one cannot rush the process. Research, reconnaissance, analysis, etc.
He does have to defend his site from Google spiders….
Was just wondering the same thing – assuming that he is either VERY busy or is taking a much needed couple of days off…
Praying either way….
Always.
Vikingmom not a day goes by that Sundance and president TRUMP are not in my prayers at least three times a day or more. If you extrapolate that by the multitude of people like me who do it on a regular basis it is a force thay can not overcom. Blessings to Ad rem and all treepers

Amen, RD!
With the crawling spiders there is no time off.
Someone posted earlier via something like “X” or one of those other social media that SD said he would never cut the comments off.
Yes, that was posted on his Google Shenanigans thread where a number of odd names popped up and told him to eliminate the comment section entirely.

A nice 10 minute clip of a recent Viva Frei/Robert Barnes segment where they talk about the NY Atty Gen harassing the company that put up the bond for PDJT; I like the last few minutes where the atty Barnes recognizes that it’s not PDJT that’s the bully, he’s the person that punches back at the bully. He’s right.
Indeed.
The MarxMerdia demonizes him as a bully simply because he defends himself, and us, against them.
wow talk about a rant. Barnes was definitely ranting and rightfully so!
Barnes!
I’m sorry, anybody that admits he hasn’t voted since 96′, I stop listening too.

A sign of good leadership! Now, sir, please look beyond the corrupt cesspool of DC for selections to your cabinet, Many states have some very qualified people that wont stab you in the back. The worm-tongues savor the stench of the DC swamp, so avoid them at all cost!.
“……………the stench of the DC swamp…..”
I’ve heard several people request that we stop calling DC a swamp. The logic being that a swamp is a diverse and rich Eco-system that supports life. Instead, we should call DC what it truly is: a sewer, which is an accumulation of disease filled waste that harms life instead of promoting it. Until, that is, the waste is buried deep in the soil where it can, given time, break down into stable compounds that may potentially be of some use. That would be someday in the future, but not in the present form.
Did it get that nickname from actually being built on a swamp? I. don’t remember. It did take on a decidedly pejorative tone at some point; for some reason, more widely the word ‘swamp’ appeared to take on a negative meaning, though the reality of it in nature is anything but.
However, I wouldn’t mind if some of those real reptilian swamp dwelling creatures would have their way with some of the D.C. dwelling ones. 🙂
Finally! I am so glad that President Trump has seen the light.

Kayfabe in Kiev — @im_1776 (im1776.com)–Samuel Finlay:
The Latest Spectacle in the Globalist War Against All
“…It was like this in the beginning of ‘The War on Terror’. (Good Lord, what a silly name.) 9/11 was still fresh, and my unit didn’t know where we would be deploying. U.S. and Allied forces had been massing near Iraq and America was divided. Afghanistan we could understand; word was that was where the enemy was headquartered, but Iraq? Invading a sovereign country without clear provocation struck many of us as wrong or at least left us ambivalent. President Bush came out to give us a pep talk to gin up support and I was in the crowd. I will never forget him saying, “I don’t know why our enemy doesn’t fear us. We have high-tech apparati.” I shit you not, the man said apparati like it was Latin class. One guy in the crowd next to me yelled “WE OUGHTA GO AFTER SADDAM!” The crowd popped and the President laughed. Vince McMahon eat your heart out.
Well they got their war. They even lied to get it, not that it seems to have mattered. (Consequences are just for Proles.) My unit went there after Afghanistan, and among the thousands who died, theirs and ours, one was a Cherry from the first fire-team I led. His nickname was “Van.” He deployed to Iraq, and I’m told my old squad leader had to climb up a tree to fetch Van’s body down after the IED took his life and threw what was left into the sky. Van left behind a newlywed wife and an infant daughter. Another one of my buddies, whom I’d seen go from a scrappy Private to a tough squad leader (“Decicho” in my book), killed himself last year, leaving behind a young son as well. Of those thousands who were lost or marked by that war, those were some of mine. They and the rest of the men in my unit were brave and it was an honor to serve with them, yet I cannot forget that our actions downrange were in service to policies built upon a great deal of lies and treachery. We were betrayed then. And we are being betrayed again.
I recall how vehemently anti-war the Left was then, and how the Jon Stewarts and other court eunuchs used the issue as a means to attack my people and reveal their master’s pivot from pretending to give a damn about the working class and what remains of small-town and rural folk to displaying their true contempt for us as Kulaks. The indisputable fact of their recent conversion to brute hawkishness reveals the truth of something David Reaboi noted, riffing on Lee Smith: “The Democratic Party doesn’t have foreign enemies. They have foreigners who remind them of domestic enemies.”
I’d say that’s about right. There’s a bloodlust running like a current through those identifying with the party that was clearly stoked in them by the Managerial Class. I swear, you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting three freshly activated Manchurian Candidates ready to put their war-boner on the world. I am convinced it is demonic. Yesterday at my Normie-Job I heard an 80-something year old woman read aloud an article about how a cruise line would no longer offer stops in St. Petersberg, and would cost the Russian people there millions of dollars in lost revenue. She was almost gloating about the prospect of the impoverishment of those affected. A week ago she was deathly afraid of Covid and lamenting a friend’s refusal to take the ‘vaccine’. From what I understand, she was a former school teacher.
As bad as that is, it troubles me even more to see it from officials ostensibly on our side of the aisle. A schizophrenic coalition representing the Grift-Industrial Complex with a crooked-ass elderly dementia patient for a spokesman has been rolling into a midterm election season with low approval ratings due to their sheer incompetence and corruption, and no sooner than they call for blood against foreigners, RINOs fall in line with them, ready to snatch a defeat from the jaws of victory like the Jobronis they are.
The fools can’t seem to grasp that the Globalist-Left is not only on the brink of starting a war in which Red State sons would disproportionately be paying America’s butcher’s bill, but the tools developed in GWOT and refined in the plot against President Trump, the Canadian Trucker Protest, and now Russia will be directed against people like us who object to living under the diktats of GloboHomo. They will run headlong to secure the borders of Ukraine or Taiwan (or rather, send others to do so), yet when it comes to doing something about those who have declared war on us here at home, suddenly their martial vigor fails them and they sit like good little school boys awaiting instruction from their teacher. They let their enemies tell them who they should fight, then wonder why they always seem to lose. Charlie Brown had more self-awareness. In a way, I suspect it must be a bit of a relief for some. Having a faraway spectacle elsewhere offers a distraction from just how corrupt the ruling class is here and dulls the messy responsibility of having to do something about it. …
It is my hope that serious men with cooler heads can reason together and come to an understanding that can grant both sides [Russia and Ukraine] an honorable peace. God knows that part of the world could use it. It’ll have to come from them though, because I cannot imagine any in power on our side with wisdom sufficient to foster such an accord. Those jackals are fit for nothing but the gallows. Regardless, for those in the contested areas, it is my prayer that this ends soon and with as little blood spilled as possible. However, it ain’t my war. My war is here.
In response to my Okie compatriots in the State Legislature and others across the country, I would remind you it wasn’t Vladimir Putin who has been conducting a scorched-earth culture war upon our beliefs, history, and identity, and degraded our social fabric to the point we now have to fight against the normalization of transsexualism. It wasn’t the Russians who outsourced our productive capacity while sending us upon one misbegotten war after another and flooding the country with drugs. It wasn’t ‘Ivan’ who caused the biggest wealth transfer in human history with the Covid scandal, fomented riots across the country, or “fortified” the election. Most of the ills I’ve seen metastasize over the course of my life, with increasing speed over recent years, were not the result of some foreign plot, but were born right here. Rattle your sabers against foreigners on the other side of the planet if it makes you feel better, but don’t confuse that with bravery. It just makes you a mark. If you truly wish to show your quality, summon the courage to attack the very real patronage networks who guide our course. Bring your powers to bear against those who shape the opinions and policies by which we live and die.” …….
Brilliant. Read it all.
I had.
It was a fantastic read!
Thank you, Kindly!!
“once you’ve broken kayfabe, it’s over.”
Came here to post that!
“He remarked something to the tune of “once you’ve broken kayfabe, it’s over.” I take comfort in that. I hope as this deadly farce plays out, more and more Americans will come to grips with the fact we are being lied to, and have been for a very long time. And while the loss of that illusion we’ve known and identified with for so long is painful, once free of it, there remains the possibility of building something better. Something real.”
Yeah–I had to stop myself from posting the whole thing.
I can see why, it was a great read, thanks.

This sounds like the way our politicians all get rich after being elected!
Meanwhile, NGOs tied to governments are actively working to corrupt all of the elections in Europe this year – just as the are in the U.S.

Another top-notch recent essay from Samuel Finlay:
Sympathy for the Boomer — @im_1776 (im1776.com):
“,,,Napoleon said, “To understand the man you have to know what was happening in the world when he was twenty.” Can you imagine coming of age in the Sixties or Seventies? You begin life in the halcyon years following WWII. Everything is young as the world rebuilds anew. Rock and Roll is born. Fast cars, movies, surfing, miniskirts, dope, The Pill, astronauts. The specter of nuclear Armageddon looms overhead, and later there will be the slide into troubled times, but there remains the feeling of boundless freedom and the certainty it will all work out. The world was wide open and anything could happen.
Then there was their war. Some like our own Lafayette Lee have held that the warfighters the U.S. sent to Vietnam were among the finest it ever fielded. I believe it. Those boys were running on a whole ‘nother level. One day you’re a young man in high school then you turn around and you’re on patrol in some dank jungle with death at every turn. You cook alive in the stifling heat and humidity, and every step brings with it the possibility of landing on a shit-covered Punji stick or taking you that much closer to a V.C. ambush. Perhaps at a small hole in the earth someone hands you a flashlight and a pistol and you’re expected to crawl on your belly through a claustrophobic dirt-maze darker than ten feet up a coal miner’s ass to see if anyone shoots at you from the other side. Maybe the day ends with you and your buddies un-assing the A.O. in a Chopper while Charlie fires murder at you from below. Or the night could simply bring another long patrol. You do that for about a year, and if you live through it, you’ll return to a world that moved on without you, and other than for those who still love you, most of your countrymen will look at you and see a villain or a dupe to be pitied.
I know a man named “Uncle Jim” who served in that war. I met James through my old unit’s regimental society, and he said he’d been drafted and arrived in-country just in time for the Tet Offensive. When he got downrange he noticed none of the men in the firebase he’d been assigned to wore their flak vests, and when I asked why he explained that when Hell came out of the jungle, the clumsy attempt at armor was useless against a mortar round and in a firefight it served only to slow them down and get in the way. At night, when not on patrol or pulling security, they would lay in their fox holes like graves and live in the quiet fatalism that death and pain would come for them or it wouldn’t. Uncle Jim had been nineteen.
Say what you will about how the Boomers played their hand, but they were all in. They still are. At present, the 2024 election is shaping up to be a contest between Donald Trump and the Biden-Obama machine for who will write the final chapter in the Boomer political dynasty, with RFK Jr. as a dark horse candidate. How much of America’s remaining industrial know-how rests on the shoulders of Boomer men toiling in the traces until they can at last retire? God help us when they do. Most of you reading this probably have parents, grandparents, aunts, or uncles from that generation who are fresh out of patience with the ruling class and regularly send links to stories or memes from social media about what’s happening to the country and what to do about it. As they have advanced into their elder years they have fostered power for advocacy groups championing issues ranging from gun rights to homeschooling. I don’t know what Chris Rufo’s volunteer roster looks like, but I have a silver dollar that says he’s got a legion of gray-haired cut-throats on call, just looking for a reason.
One watches the footage of the January 6th “Insurrection!“™ and it looks like you couldn’t throw a rock at a bush without hitting three grandmas. I can only fault them for their naivete; their courage and love of country is beyond question. In spite of a lifetime of betrayals, they still believed. They still thought the government was the servant of the citizenry rather than its masters, and that they had recourse to demand justice when they saw rampant corruption and their rights abused.” …….
Again, go and read it all.

I believe that is a photo of Rick Rescorla. A native of Cornwall, England he enlisted in the US Army. If you have seen Mel Gibson’s movie “We Were Soldiers” Rick Rescorla was in that 1965 battle. It was he who found and retrieved the French Foreign Legion bugle from the body of a dead North Vietnamese soldier.
The photo was also on the front cover of the book “We Were Soldiers Once and Young”.
Rick was head of security at Dean Witter Reynolds on 9/11. He and several of his team died that day as they were making sure company employees had been able to get out safely.
President Trump Presents the Presidential Citizens Medal (youtube.com) to Susan Rescorla.
When the FBI bombed the World Trade Center using the Blind Sheik 1n 1993, Col. Rescorla was there.
When Dirty Bob Mueller came back in 2001 with his Saudi hirelings, Rick was ready, saving 2700 lives.
“It’s a great day to be an American,” he’d say.
And so it is.
And another fantastic read!
Thank you, TGL!!!

So much truth here.
Nice post Gip.
Reminds me of my late high school buddy who got drafted in 1968, two years out of high school. I corresponded with him all through his tour. I still have all his letters (don’t know what to do with them). He saw a lot of combat, filling body bags and tending to the wounded. He was in a firefight one day and two days later he was home exhausted a total wreck! His hair was like straw, he had lost at least 20 pounds and was chain smoking cigarettes! They just dumped him off when he was no longer of use, end of tour. I don’t know if that was unusual or not but it was his experience. He never spoke of his Vietnam war combat experiences to anyone including me. He told me that was how he dealt with it. Now that he’s gone the only record of his combat is left in those chicken scratch letters. RIP Phil.
Write what you just posted, copy the letters
-and send to President Trump.
Perhaps he’ll put them in a book.
Ask him if he’d want the originals
– just a thought
Trump absolutely destroying Lindsey today….is just….oh!

The GOP cannot ignore the issue of abortion. That’s why I support President Trump on his stance of declining to endorse a federal abortion ban today…
Cont…
President Trump is right to leave it to states. Feds are grabbing power everywhere. But she goes on to talk about ‘strengthening laws to protect women and girls’ and I say lets enforce the law as it is. Enforce the border laws and stop encouraging perverts to go into women’s locker rooms and compete in women’s sports.
Far leftie relative confessed he was accepting of three abortions of girlfriends and maybe a wife…idk…in his younger years. He also told me he’s been seeing a priest and confessed these abortions…so now in his 70’s he is repentant. I wish more ppl of his age would come out publicly to let the younger pro abortion ppl know that this is a grief they will likely carry forever. That is, if they aren’t so hardened to truth of what they have done. We all are sinners and grieve for our sins…Jesus died for those sins whatever they are and we are forgiven when we repent.
Older age brings wisdom…but also reveals to us our mistakes and our sins. Aging isn’t for sissies as the saying goes…not only for physical pains. If not for the love of Christ we truly would be lost.
GOP would be wise to point out the Dems support abortion at any point of development, up to and beyond 9 months. See Ralph Northam, former VA Governor’s comments.
Remind voters of the Dem prosecutors, etc who have promoted cashless bail, allowing rapists and incestuous parents, caretakers, etc. back on the street. Emboldened by lack of consequences, they are more likely to repeat the crimes.
Remind voters of all the ‘newcomers,’ who commit sexual violence. Laken Riley shouldn’t have died, her death was very preventable.
Even a 15-week limit would only prevent less than 5% of abortions, so not really much change.
Usually the government burns down food producers, but this time they hung them out to dry.
