A lot of corps get guv bucks for salaries and ‘hiring’…I suspect the hiring has slowed (in health care you can’t get part time if a nurse, only full time)…I suspect a lot of programs are sun setting and the big corps don’t want to lose money so they innovate with ordering kiosks etc and reducing payroll.
And increasing prices.
Also, we were warned in the late 80’s…(don’t piss me off, that is when my memory gets better, LOL)…
We were told, about when companies were doing away with pensions…that the idea of a job for every American, as an entitlement, would be a thing of the past. Meanwhile FMB-FBJ/Chicago, not to be confused with FJB, continues to place the welfare of illegals above the needs of the citizen by begging for work permits.
“The jobs Americans won’t do”? I wonder about unemployment benefits…and the qualifications needed to get said benefits…that may be the huge obstruction keeping Americans from “doing” those jobs. And the unemployment pays more….
Anyway…fast food was supposed to be starter jobs for teens….no cash register operator, etc is worth 20 bux an hour….

Make the minimum wage for fast food workers high enough, and it justifies the expenditure to build and develop robots (including programing) to flip burgers, build tacos and kiosks for “self ordering”.
End up with one actual employee, a guy with an oilcan and screw driver, to keep the bots working.
Remember, $20/hr. isn’t ghe actual employers cost; add in Workers Comp and Unemployment Insurance premiums, the double matching of SS “deductions” any “bennies” including paid “sick days”.
A bot works 24/7, unless it breaks. Just need to make it economical, to justify the initial investment.

Not blaming him as he had to make realtime decisions so it is easy to invole 20/20 hindsight. Is there anything that can be done legally to exonerate citizens falsely accused, tried or convicted based upon “testimony” presented by the “publicity stunt show trials?”
I am suspicious that our credit union’s recent “push” might be originating from some regime nastiness, but I can’t think of any connections that make sense. Recently my son got a letter in the mail telling him he hasn’t logged into his online or mobile banking account in 30 days. It asked him to “please log in at your earliest convenience.”
Likewise, I have been having trouble with some missing/disappearing transaction histories for my credit cards in some of their reports. I have logged in weekly for at least 3 years. The guy handling my trouble ticket tried to blame the missing transactions on me not logging in frequently enough. I’m a software guy that understands databases, and I know that explanation is bunk.
Any ideas on why they want us logging in frequently?
I don’t do electronic banking and if required too, I would instantly take my money and find a new credit union or local bank.
A very good philosophy. I spend cash for lots of things, and am prepping somewhat for what will surely be a bartering underground economy in the future, but for now it is really difficult to avoid all electronic banking for my circumstances.

Interesting thought, but no. The mailed letter is official. And the trouble ticket was originated by me and the back and forth emails with them were legit.

I don’t have any problems with my credit union but they have been warning me lately to beware of scammers who try to get information by pretending to be them.
My credit union offers all kinds of perks for using cards a minimum of 20 times a month. I assumed it was to track me, sell my history to advertisers, and condition me to the coming CBDC’s. Is there an additional angle I’m missing that would require frequent log-ons?
The newly issued, government approved versions of microsoft windows spyware appear to be wreaking havoc on security protocols as well as VPN’s. I’m seeing it daily. Problems will likely continue until all of the downstream banks systems have been completely updated/compromised.

The spying and tracking is just one issue. My main reason for not doing anything financial electronically is hackers getting into my computer. I visit internet sites, click on links, watch videos, research topics that interest me, there’s just too many opportunities for scum bags to insert malware, spyware or other nefarious bugs that could give them access to my finances. I’m not nerdy enough to know with 100% certainty how to protect my PC.

I’m listening to Robert Gouveis reporting on the new Nathan Wade divorce case updates and how Nathan was supposed to pay a bill for his wife or children, said he did, by Cashier’s check, and it never arrived. His wife called to check on it, and said to follow up because the creditor wants the $$$, won’t stop calling, and so he did. The Post Office said it might take up to 90 days to investigate and clear for a new check to be issued, if applicable.

In 2020 I had someone mail me a 9 x 12 Tyvek envelope that took 54 days to arrive. Turned out it was exactly one day for every mile the package went. There was nothing odd shaped or unusual about this package. It was a nicely bound booklet of family photos and history, and fortunately it was only a photocopy. All paper except for the front cover which was clear plastic so you could see a photo of the matriarchs of the family.
Cashier’s checks are issued by banks, not the Post Office. Was he confused and was referring to a Postal Money Order? The limit for those is $1,000.00.
I know he said cashier’s check and I know he said post office.
It has been awhile since I personally used a post office for anything, but back in the day I used to, quite frequently, for many reasons. I couldn’t remember what they were called there, but I know I have used them before, for things like paying the Illegal Robbery Scam.

State representative Brad Tschida conducted an audit of Missoula County votes with the assistance of the county’s elections office. He found that 4,592 out of all 72,491 mail-in ballots—6.33 percent of the total—did not have envelopes. That is a real problem. It is against the law to count such ballots, as there would be no way to match up signatures to verify that the vote is from a registered voter, and no postmarked date to determine whether the ballot was cast on time.
These concerns were significant enough that Montana’s governor, Greg Gianforte, announced on April 1 that he talked to Montana secretary of state Christi Jacobsen about investigating them. He also mentioned that he “repealed the prior governor’s executive order that mandated all mail-in ballots. So we are going to go back to polling places. I think that it is easier to assure integrity when we do that.”
A random set of about 15,000 Missoula mail-in ballots were checked for other problems. Fifty-five did not have dates and 53 did not have their signatures checked. That equals a rate of 0.7 percent.
Extrapolating from this sub-sample, and in addition to the 6.33 percent of ballots with no envelopes, that would amount to more than 5,000 Missoula County votes—over 7 percent—with unexplained irregularities.

Actually, ALL should carefully research the nuances of how elections are stolen, er conducted in their specific area, in order to figure out the best way to cadt their vote, oin order to insure its counted.

There are thousands of peer-reviewed research articles online, most of them free to download. Print them off before they disappear. Get opinions from both traditional oncologists and naturopaths, then compare the protocols. Great book for starters — Knockout by Suzanne Somers. It’s somewhat dated, but a fine introduction to what treatments are available. Not dismissing traditional Western medicine here (I did need a surgeon, four times and counting). Just sayin’ you have options.
Extend your advice, regardless of the medical condition.
When my wife got pregnent, instead of automatically assuming, we did our research and ended up homebirthing both our daughters, who when THEY had children they also home birthed.
Numerous other examples of medical “issurs” for me n mine, over the years where we did research, and in most cases went with “alternative” treatments.
The internet is a great tool, properly used and so is pubmed, a clearinghouse for all medical research.

That same day she started taking fenbendazole, curcumin and 2 drops of CBD oil under her tongue before going to bed at night.
On February 1, 2024, a group of friends met and celebrated the fact that the date the doctor had given as a death date would now be remembered as a party.
More than two months ago tests came back saying all her blood work came out “normal” and the doctor didn’t need to see her for 3 months. He refused to say she was cancer free — since he’d never seen anyone with her type of cancer get “better” before — and he was somewhat flabbergasted by the trajectory of those numbers.
That friend is the 3rd person I know of locally who has taken fenbendazole to kill cancer, who is now telling everyone else that God used it to cure their cancer.
My dad died of cancer, my mom had cancer and surgery, my oldest sister died of cancer, two of my other sisters have had cancer and surgery that they “got.” How I wish I had known about fenbendazole back then for any of them. Instead, my husband and I are taking fenbendazole prophylacticly, to keep from getting cancer.

My wife and I were out and about and I thought about stopping by someplace for a sit down lunch. I had $40.00 cash in my wallet and said to myself that it’s not enough. We waited until we got home to eat. A few years ago with that $40.00 we could have had some fish and chips and an ice tea for the two of us and left a 5 dollar tip. Now it would be more like $70.00 including a $10.00 tip.
We used to go out to eat several times a month – a couple of casual lunches and a “nicer” dinner once or maybe twice a month. Now, as you pointed out, even a simple lunch is close to $50 for two people, before tax and tip (and WHEN did the standard tip jump from 12-15% up to 22%????).
So now, we eat in most of the time, and when we do go out, I usually walk out disappointed – smaller portions, less flavor, more starchy fillers, and $15 for a 3oz glass of wine? No, thank you!

He definitely could, and should, have phrased his comment more eloquently but I think that the overall idea has some merit to it and is worth serious discussion.
I know a young man, in his early 30s, who recently married for the first time, also to a woman in her early 30s, and they were both looking for a relationship that would involve having children, and her being at home to raise them.
MANY of the woman his age who might have made a good “partner” were specifically NOT interested in really being a wife and mother, because they had poured a decade or more into their career and liked the money, the position, and the level of freedom that they had achieved. I know this man had dated several women who flat out said that they did NOT want children and that was a deal breaker for him.
I suspect that Charlie Kirk was referring to the fact that, by design, women were traditionally attracted to men whom they saw as being strong protectors and providers, while men, by design, were attracted to women who could bear them children. I know the world is upside in many ways these days but I think those truths still exist, even though many people fight against them as “outdated stereotypes”.

Makes a person ask – why is the communist world, the lefties, so intent on controlling what others think and believe? Are they so afraid that their own thoughts and beliefs are incorrect they must silence others that might cause the leftie to reconsider their world?
I’d posit that certain groups of humans who share the common trait of strong desire to dominate and control other humans come together to effect that goal, as such efforts require massive amounts of people, communication and coordination to succeed on a wide basis.
History has shown that, over time, such efforts implode due to the very nature of the beasts who populate them.
It could be totally genetic, or nurture, or a combination of genetics and nurture. Some humans seem more afflicted than others. I think we all like to feel in control of our own lives. That’s healthy. Molding the lives of others and subjugating them to our will? IDK, it doesn’t scan for this human. Just stay off my lawn 🙂

Ukraine – Fake News Still Does Not Help Winning-
I find it amusing how little western media have learned from their own reporting on the war in Ukraine.
Two years ago a mystic ‘Ghost of Kiev’ was allegedly shooting down Russian aircraft left and right. The ghost turned out to be a fake character. The Ukrainian air force had never had such successes.
Two years on it is still the same story. The Ukrainian government claims something and western media print it as if it had really happened.
When the claim is debunked, often sooner than later, its simply vanishes from the headlines. Yesterday we had this media wave:

The Russia side confirmed the attacks but denied any significant damage.
The Russia claim of no significant damage has been confirmed by the anti-Russian Institute for the Study of War (Nuland)
ISW has yet to find any visual evidence that Ukrainian forces have damaged or destroyed aircraft or infrastructure at any of the four Russian airbases targeted by drones. Such news cycles of fake claims of alleged Ukrainian successes are a major reason why some in the western public still believe that the Ukraine can win the war.
That is not the case. The situation requires a change of attitude:
Instead of a new approach, the old pattern continues: NATO mulls over how to help Ukraine without provoking open war with Russia and fails, in the end, to deliver the kind of decisive assistance needed to turn the course of the war.
Another established pattern is the repetition of moralistic binary language. The West “cannot let Russia win.” The “rules-based order” could unravel. Then there is the new domino theory: if Ukraine falls, Russian hordes will flood further west. The personalization of the conflict onto one evil man, Vladimir Putin, continues with the death of Alexei Navalny. It is a Manichean struggle of good and evil, democracy and authoritarianism, civilization and darkness. There can be “no peace until the tyrant falls.” The Western alliance must not waver in its commitment to Ukraine.

The lack of realism in Western discourse is clear. There is indeed a serious risk that, rather than the West teaching Russia a lesson and putting Putin in his place, the opposite may occur.

Winds of change. Spent my entire life realizing that the “reality” presented didn’t square with my experience. The anguish and despair of knowing that without being able to have others relate to it is hard to measure.
This gives me some hope.

A federal judge tore into the Justice Department on Friday for blowing off Hunter Biden-related subpoenas issued in the impeachment probe of his father, President Joe Biden, pointing out that a former aide to Donald Trump is sitting in prison for similar defiance of Congress.
U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes, a Biden appointee on the federal District Court in Washington, spent nearly an hour accusing Justice Department attorneys of rank hypocrisy for instructing two other lawyers in the DOJ Tax Division not to comply with the House subpoenas.
