What to make of the announcement by Supreme Court that they will hear oral arguments for Trumps immunity in April?
As soon as I heard the 9-0 ruling on the ballot issue, I had a feeling this was coming very soon.
Question: IF they were to say he is NOT immune, they would then still have to prove he did something wrong, correct? A separate trial? Then they would more than likely try to ram that through by November, correct?
And so, what do we think the odds are that they will find that 1) he is NOT immune AND 2) that he did something that prevents him from being able to hold office again?
The bottom line is that President Trump will be on the November ballot as the Republican nominee and no SCOTUS is going to allow him, when elected, to be convicted and sent to prison. If they were concerned with how there would be chaos in the country if they ruled for the Colorado Supreme Court, imagine the chaos that would ensue if they allowed a lower court to convict and put him in prison?
Well I guess my question is, will they find him “guilty” for a reason that would keep him off ALL the ballots before November?
