I posted a while back about how the Delaware legislation not long after the 2016 presidential election voted to do the same. From what I understand DE and eleven or fourteen other states joined a pact to give their electoral vote winner to the popular vote winner. I called my state senator and asked why as a republican would he vote with the democrats to circumvent the will of the Delaware voters. I said, so what you are saying is that if Donald Trump had won the state of DE in 2016 but Hillary winning the popular vote, our three electors would have given the votes to Hillary taking away our choice. He said yes and that he thinks this model will bring more people out to vote. I think they did it because PDJT’s votes in 2016 was so much closer than the Delaware democrats politicians expected. When this state senator was up for reelection he lost.
Without mail in ballots PDJT won Delaware 2020. A judged recently ruled that mail in ballots are unconstitutional in Delaware. It took three years for this verdict to be reached.
I hope the Trump campaign is aware of and understand the consequences of just going for the electoral college and make adjustments. If he takes the popular vote, every one of these states that has circumvented the US Constitution for what I think was an overly emotional at the moment vote will renege on their commitment of this change. I hope he takes both electoral and popular.

Cool weather on Monday managed to help officials quell some of the fires as containment levels increased early this week, with two fires becoming completely contained.
But fire authorities warn that increased fire weather could hit the Texas Panhandle Thursday and Friday. At a news conference on Tuesday, Texas Division of Emergency Management Chief Nim Kidd pleaded with nearby residents not to start any new fires.
“Over 90% of wildfires are human caused,” he claimed. Strong winds and dry conditions this past weekend exacerbated flames, including the Smokehouse Creek Fire in northern Texas which remains only 37 per cent contained, according to the forest service. The fires began late last month.
The Smokehouse Creek Fire has burned more than 1.3 million acres across the Texas Panhandle and destroyed 500 structures. It’s now the largest fire in the state’s history and the second-largest in the US’ history.
