Neither California Gov. Gavin Newsom nor former First Lady Michelle Obama will become the Democrats’ 2024 presidential candidate. No amount of President Joe Biden’s mental decline, forgetfulness, mumbling or stumbling can change that. If Biden can fog up a mirror come Election Day, he will be the nominee. some fundamental flaws in Larry’s article:
-his arguments against Newsom presume that the DNC does not come home to party loyalty over just about everything else; and that these are normal times with a normal press that would reflect any of his flaws. a track record is becoming increasingly irrelevant in the politics of the former republic.
-he says Michelle does not want to be pres… i do not believe that for an instant. her advisors have come out and made carefully scripted statements to that effect, not her: it is part of the dance to be portrayed as the “reluctant savior.”
I agree with Larry Elder that Michelle Obama absolutely does not want to be President! Her two terms as FLOTUS correctly exposed her as lazy, entitled, and mentally not up to the task. She may still get drafted by TPTB, if they can convince her that she will not actually have to do any work… and I fear her last minute candidacy far more than that of Gavin Newsom, to be honest!

I previously saw that and his interview with Tucker. He had another recent one in front of the ‘Nam Memorial wall talking about the importance of voting. First time I saw Clay was when he did a couple of videos from before he was a Congressman and was still a law enforcement officer. I’ve neither seen nor heard anything negative about him – and all I have seen or heard is top shelf. It’s why I thought he would be a good fit for either of the two positions I mentioned.

i do not recall the source, but there have been several posters here, the last few months, who linked to an interesting article that took a pretty sterile, analytical approach to this topic.
it found that, of those cases which DID go to trial (i believe less than 20%), the ratio is 4:1 in ruling that fraud occurred. each was pretty small in scope and was unlikely to change the outcome of the races.
And it sounds equally absurd when you state the last sentence.
what i mean by that is those cases tended to be things like: a hearing to disqualify 20 ballots; or someone accused of a crime but the admissible evidence was 40 ballots they could prove was in his/her possession, that sort of thing.
none of the big ones obviously ever made it to a trial. the article hit on those as well – and most were dismissed on “technicalities” – rather than on merits.
I got it, but they were pasted out that way and it’s absurd to pretend it wasn’t widespread and a yuge change.

The U.S. Supreme Court could issue a ruling as early as March 4 regarding a case that seeks to bar former President Donald Trump from appearing on primary and general election ballots for the 2024 presidential election.
The Supreme Court, in an unusual Sunday update to its schedule, didn’t specify what ruling it would issue. However, the justices on Feb. 8 heard arguments in the former president’s appeal of a ruling in Colorado and are due to issue their own decision.
The March 3 announcement said the opinion would be posted online at 10 a.m. Washington time. “The court will not take the bench,” it only said on its website.
Late last year, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that President Trump is disqualified from appearing on ballots in Colorado, citing an interpretation of the U.S. Constitution’s 14th Amendment provision that stipulates that candidates who engaged in an “insurrection or rebellion” against the United States should be prevented from holding office. Maine’s Democratic secretary of state made a similar decision days later, and a judge in Illinois recently issued a similar ruling to prevent his appearance on ballots.
The amendment was drafted more than 150 years ago, after the Civil War, and the court was the first to invoke it. However, that ruling and the two others are on hold pending the Supreme Court decision.
