Judge McAfee should be very, very careful, because he is new in this position and up for re-election.

Courts have allowed/enabled this and they can put an end to it if they want. I mean, it’s only the credibility of the legal system that is at stake, so no bigee, but if they are so inclined and not up to something else more important, maybe acting like judges and courts again might be a good thing.

Just for context, by the 2020 Census each U.S. Representative “represents” a little over 750,000 people. So, 750K into, say 3 million to make it a round number… That’s four more reps for Cali alone.
However, in my quick look just now, I also found that the number of Reps is capped at 435, by some law passed in 1913. So it’s possible that each Rep will just rep more people instead of adding Reps.
An additional caveat: That 1913 law was suspended in 1959, to accommodate the admittance of Hawaii and Alaska to the Union, and the number of Reps was increased to 437, but was later restored to the original 435. So it’s possible that the Uniparty will use that as a precedent.
