I am looking for the best explanation opposing the senate’s immigration bill. I am trying to educate fellow posters on our local blog and I proffered an explanation based on my understanding but thought it would be helpful to have more or additional insight or points to present.
The bill still lets 5,000 illegals per day to come across the border. I says nothing about deporting anyone or finishing the wall, and gives another 65 billion to Ukraine.
And McConnell said he cares more about getting the money to Ukraine than he cases about the border.
Than he cares about the border.
And I say eff him and his corruption funds coming from Ukraine.
He has to continue to pay out to keep the evidence of Gooberment crimes in Ukraine, since 1992, under wraps.
May he drop dead before he kills more Americans.

And what is Biden trying to pull over? He already has authority to secure the border.
Biden’s handlers have assumed the authority to subvert America’s Constitution because we have lost the legal ability to stop them.

Red states should simply deploy their Guard forces in state to round up illegals and ship them back to their country of origin, and failing that, drop them off on the steps of the US Capitol and the White House, and the Governor’s mansion of every blue state.
States have a right to decide who is a citizen of their state. They should also immediately pass laws saying that no person whose arrival in the state was the result of illegal entry into the country will be allowed to vote in that state. Ever.
I think we tried that when they were stealing the election in 2020. Can’t remember the details but I think the SC said “no standing” or maybe it was “no thanks”. Something like that.

International bridges are ports of entry. That is where business can be conducted in a lawful manner. If we have decided to do business, let’s do it in an orderly and timely manner.
Cruz is not a late-comer to being tough on immigration. He had announced his own bill back in October, see below for the summary. Of course it’s gone nowhere because the Democrats have control of the Senate.
If you all want our GOP Representatives and Senators to be able to get work done, you need to elect enough of them to create GOP majorities. So in 2024, expand the House majority and take the Senate majority away from the Democrats. Trump needs these majorities anyway otherwise the Democrats will leverage them to endlessly persecute him, as they have done prior. Vote strategically.
The Secure the Border Act enacts effective border security solutions, including:
1. Requiring the Department of Homeland Security to resume border wall construction.
2. Increasing the number of Border Patrol Agents.
3. Tightening asylum standards by restricting asylum to only aliens who present at ports of entry and by requiring aliens to prove they are “more likely than not” to qualify for their asylum claim.
4. Narrowing DHS’s power to unilaterally grant parole to illegal aliens.
5. Criminalizing visa overstays by making the first offense a misdemeanor punishable by up to a $1,000 fine and the second offense a felony punishable by up to a $2,000 fine and up to two years imprisonment.
6. Stopping NGOs from using tax dollars to transport or lodge illegal aliens and provide illegal aliens with lawyers.
7. Restricting DHS from using its CBP One app to welcome illegal aliens into the country.
8. Requiring employers to use E-Verify.
9. Ensuring CBP has access to the criminal history databases of all countries of origin and transit so that CBP is aware of the criminal history of illegal aliens encountered at the southern border.
OR just eliminate one of the main REASONs they come here by changing or ELIMINATING a single paragraph in 8 U.S. Code § 1324a – Unlawful employment of aliens…

The above case precisely confirms what I’ve posted here before, recently and long ago. It’s only requires a VERY simple fix for the US to mostly stop illegal immigration.

I independently found the following gaping loophole in the US Code many years ago.
It’s actually offset/indented within the code, probably so employers don’t miss it.
Eliminate this loophole that allows businesses to hire illegals with no real consequences when caught doing so and you would thereby eliminate much of the incentive for illegal immigration – employment.
Guess who is specifically designated to be the SOLE authority responsible and enabled to eliminate it. The POTUS.
With this loophole present, you can hire some very tanned, Latino-looking guys in their mid-20s who can’t speak a word of English standing outside Home Depot who each have “a document or combination of documents that reasonably appears on its face to be genuine“ like something that says they were all born in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, etc., and YOU the employer are good to go and any effort on your part to get proof of the validity of those documents is not required and perhaps even ILLEGAL (ed. SEE ABOVE for recent proof).

Here’s the gaping loophole that protects employers from prosecution and illegal aliens from discovery when they apply for a job:

If an individual provides a document or combination of documents that reasonably appears on its face to be genuine and that is sufficient to meet the requirements of the first sentence of this paragraph, nothing in this paragraph shall be construed as requiring the person or entity to solicit the production of any other document or as requiring the individual to produce such another document.
WHO is the only person responsible for changing the code if it isn’t effective?:
(1)(A) The PRESIDENT shall provide for the monitoring and evaluation of the degree to which the employment verification system established under subsection (b) provides a secure system to determine employment eligibility in the United States and shall examine the suitability of existing Federal and State identification systems for use for this purpose.
(1)(B) To the extent that the system established under subsection (b) is found not to be a secure system to determine employment eligibility in the United States, the PRESIDENT shall, subject to paragraph (3) and taking into account the results of any demonstration projects conducted under paragraph (4), implement such changes in (including additions to) the requirements of subsection (b) as may be necessary to establish a secure system to determine employment eligibility in the United States.
Of course, if any POTUS actually fixed this, who would work on nasty, giant poultry farms, in meat processing plants and in all of the other really nasty jobs where they don’t dare complain about working conditions or unionize because of their illegal status and easy replacement? Which is also why national, mandatory E-Verify will NEVER be enacted.
It is ALL a farce, people. There is no need for a thousand mile wall and that won’t fix the problem anyway.
The corporate owners of “your” government want cheap, hard working labor which can’t complain about working conditions because of their illegal status. The forever promised “amnesty” serves only to attract more of them, but if provided that illegal status threat would be eliminated and they would require the same wages and work conditions US citizens require. National, mandatory E-Verify would do the same thing but would be the implementation of the threat of job loss leverage for all of them. This is why “Savior Trump” went back on the NATIONAL E-Very he promised on the campaign trail and in a book.

We already have decent customs/border laws in place. The problem is Biden wants a wide open border and so he won’t enforce the border laws we have. Instead Biden takes Texas to court to try to prevent the state from protecting its border from invasion.
When Biden enter office in 2021 there was $3 billion set aside to finish the wall. He didn’t finish the wall and instead used the $3B for environmental projects. Biden and the Uniparty want a fully open border without vetting of any kind. Aside from terrorists likely arriving, diseases are spreading. In my area TB has surfaced brought over our open borders.
The Senate bill would codify into law an open border.
It would prevent President Trump if/when he takes office in 2024 from closing the border and deporting the millions trafficked here by Biden who is cooperating with the Cartels to flood the border.

I noticed a group of Islamic men dressed in their Islamic religious garb (tunic to the knees with identically matching pants) a few years ago shopping at Goodwill. They were buying book cases (what kids used to carry to school that back packs replaced) and extra large stuffed animals.
My husband and I went to the front window as they were leaving to photograph their license plate. They got into a brand new white van with dark tinted windows. As they turned out from their spot and as I was going to get a picture of the license plate, I was in such shock when I saw their license plate that I couldn’t even snap the picture. The license plate was a yellow municipal plate!!! I couldn’t believe it! What on earth?!
This was back in the day that we were being told, “See something, say something”. Well, when I got home, I got on the Internet and went to the FBI website and completed an entire report with great detail (minus the license plate number). Guess what? I never heard a word.
The next word you hear from the FBI may be at your front door at 5AM.

So, our answer is “No, the border is regulated by laws, which the Fed, under Joe Biden,has not attempted to enforce.”
Only when he does enforce those laws should any attempt be made to modify a law, such as one that might need clarification so that determinations can be made.
For instance, “No longer shall a person be automatically allowed into the USA simply because he or she says he is fleeing political oppression.” To say it doesn’t prove it.
Do not let any rep of any state tell you they will sign an agreement with Biden.
First, he must stop border crossings AND begin the process of moving them out. NOW.
He must also state in a major speech to the world that the border of the US is CLOSED.
He must place troops on that border if the migrants insist on coming, and station trains and busses on that border to take them back into Mexico. AT that point, the Mexican POTUS will take heed and stop them from crossing HIS southern border.
I am calling the office of Senator Lankford, OK. now. He is much too willing to “negotiate” with Biden.

Perhaps the fact that no Bill is necessary. All we need do is enforce the laws we have in place or reinstate the agreement with Mexico that they remain there while waiting their turn for amnesty, which will never happen and deters them. Biden took that out immediately upon entering office.
