I can’t wait! We struggled through the heat dome last summer trying to keep our potted flowering plants alive and blooming.
Hummers relied on feeders and nectar.
Me too!! Last year the route was more over I-35 than I-45 so our group was a little late to the party. When the got here, had to make double batches and filled the feeder twice daily. Keeps an old person busy!!

Israel was saved and sanctified unto the LORD, to be a nation of priests and prophets for bringing the knowledge of Christ and salvation to the world. So too then, are we to reciprocate in our offering of ourselves unto God, fitting of His glory and beauty and great costliness. But above all the weak and failing and corruptible of this earthly; is the sign of the glory and beauty of God Himself, yet to come; of which these are but types and dim shadows.
4. Let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. What is the primary purpose and goal for our being saved and reconciled to God, belonging to Christ, loving Him and keeping His commandments? For the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit to love us and come take up their abode in us: that we may be one, even as Jesus and the Father are one. Bringing out of our innermost precious and costly treasures, are for making a tabernacle for the Lord, that He may dwell among us.

And there is no room for adding our own ideas or designs; any more than there is room for not doing all that Jesus says.

What we bring for an offering to the LORD, for His tabernacle, that He may dwell among us; is for His ultimate desire of saving the world. The holy and beautiful and very costly things for the Lord’s tabernacle among men; are the works of grace and truth wrought in us through Jesus, in His Spirit. And while they are most sacred and holy, and no stranger may approach except as prescribed by God: it is all nonetheless, a sign, and a type, of the things God has prepared for them that wait for him; which no man can think or imagine as yet.

I have also been pondering Isaiah 43:18-19 and I believe I can step out into the wilderness holding His hand:

I remember my grandmother, on kidney dialysis (and praising the Lord for the “‘chine” that kept her going), sitting on the end of her sofa, holding this little book in her beautiful hands. she looked up at me and said, smiling, “Its a sin to be despondent.” I will never forget her faith or this precious book.

Dear Miss Della,
Was this a coincidence?, somehow I don’t think so.
The last couple of weeks or so, I have been thinking about some people I know, a little more intently than I usually do, actually relatives. They are not interested in anything I say about God or End Times etc. No matter how carefully/ diplomatically I try. Most of the communication is by E mail, now and then, as they live far from me.
They simply are not interested and I am sure they think I am nuts and maybe even a nuisance, a crazy old person.. So they simply ignore any mention of things like, what is happening in the world, if that event is linked to any mention of, a Creator a God, and the stuff happening now seems very connected. Also prophesies that have come true, signs in the sky etc. they ‘shut down’.
One person, that I sent a really good video to, ( not a preachy video , but one just stating facts in a really nice way, lasting about an hour) I told her about it, I asked, would she watch it ?, and that she might find it interesting, it was a few years ago. She wrote back simply, “I haven’t got time.”
Which is not true, she has no children and is retired. So, we exchange Christmas cards (ironically) but it’s clear how they feel. My son has also tried to reach them as they are his relatives too . Everything fine. Unless you mention God.
The coincidence is, I was talking about trying one more time to reach them, to mention the severity of the situation of our world, the stress, injustice wars, horrible liars and backstabbers as our ‘leaders’ and that we need God and yes, he does exist. But there is that stone cold wall facing me. unchanging , dismissive, patronizing, barely tolerant of my annoying stupidity.
I thought, maybe I’ll try one more time, I feel there is not much time left. The days are flying by. Maybe a nice card with a nice message about the Lord and his love.
Then I think dispiritedly, What’s the point? They just do not want to know.

I carry the same burden with some family members.
It leaves us feeling helpless – but, in reality, we are not.
God knows your heart and all that you do for them.
Remember that people who haven’t been “saved” or “born again” are spiritually blind and have Zero interest in spiritual things.
The Lord can open their eyes and soften their hearts to make them receptive.
Our mission is to PRAY.
Ask Him every day to reach them for salvation. He knows how and when they will respond to Him.
It’s hard to wait, I know.
But God has taught me (the hard way) that He is the One to save – and I’m just His witness.
Be encouraged that God knows your frustration, and He loves them more than you do.
He is working, even tho you cannot see.

A simple statement of Jesus is always a puzzle to us if we are not simple. How are we going to be simple with the simplicity of Jesus? By receiving His Spirit, recognizing and relying on Him, obeying Him as He brings the word of God, and life will become amazingly simple. “Consider,” says Jesus, “how much more your Father Who clothes the grass of the field will clothe you, if you keep your relationship right with Him.” Every time we have gone back in spiritual communion it has been because we have impertinently known better than Jesus Christ. We have allowed the cares of the world to come in and have forgotten the “much more” of our Heavenly Father.
“Behold the fowls of the air” – their main aim is to obey the principle of life that is in them and God looks after them. Jesus says that if you are rightly related to Him and obey His Spirit that is in you, God will look after your ‘feathers.’
“Consider the lilies of the field” – they grow where they are put. Many of us refuse to grow where we are put, consequently we take root nowhere. Jesus says that if we obey the life God has given us, He will look after all the other things. Has Jesus Christ told us a lie? If we are not experiencing the “much more,” it is because we are not obeying the life God has given us, we are taken up with confusing considerations. How much time have we taken up worrying God with questions when we should have been absolutely free to concentrate on His work? Consecration means the continual separating of myself to one particular thing. We cannot consecrate once and for all. Am I continually separating myself to consider God every day of my life?
