I get tons of retail catalogs–last year many of them were using lots of gay couples, biracial couples, and some males modeling female clothing–I have seen a real reversal of that this year, returning to very feminine women, Traditional families, NOT OVERWEIGht, and even blond hair! Something tells me customers don’t like Woke being shoved down their throats.
Despite what the woke ad agencies think, most women want to look good in their clothes.
Even if we’re a little “chunky” or “bulgy” or in great shape but not exactly evenly proportioned, we want to look and feel our best.
Having clothing modeled by notably obese women, or men who are caricatures of women, will not ever encourage me to buy that outfit. “Look! You could look just as ridiculous as me” doesn’t work for most of us.
I kinda chuckle, being an older indoctrinated by the print and television media of the 50’s and 60’s. Another indoctrination factor was being born in California, where beautiful people flocked to for the same industries. Any young boy who gazed at the Sears and Roebuck catalog of the era knows of what I speak 🙂
The real world elsewhere in the U.S. was definitely a wake up call, as well as traveling to other countries. It took awhile to unwind the brainwashing about beauty and money.

Unfortunately designers using men to model women’s clothing has been going on for many years. One designer actually said women’s clothing looks better on men’s bodies. !! To that I say: then you are not designing women’s clothing. I think they were doing it because it was shocking (not really), hip, trendy, etc. Maybe instead of fighting it we should just let it run out. I can say though as a female consumer who buys women’s clothing I won’t buy any brands that use male models.

She was appointed as a constitutional conservative and her ruling clearly sided with right/duties with state vs. federal. That said, I would hope that when Trump is re-elected, he can get that same kind of backing to secure any border he decides and how. But I guess we will see.

DeWit tells Lake, 54, one of the most public faces of the former president’s MAGA movement and a woman frequently spoken of as a 2024 vice-presidential pick, that he thinks Trump will lose and it is time to make way for someone else.

Please make your best effort to primary the RINOs. Do what Wyoming did in 2022, they ousted Liz Cheney during their primary.

In my state neither of the Senators are up for re-election this year, and in my district the incumbent is a Democrat, but there are several GOP candidates vying for the nomination so I’ll try to make the best one win, and whoever wins the nomination gets my vote in November.

Can someone explain how Trump was declared winner in Iowa 30 mins after polls opened but we have to wait until polls close at 8 tonight in NH?
The difference between caucuses and voting. Polls close at 8, where as caucuses happen in groups – essentially enough caucuses had chosen Trump to call it.
The polls have to close before any precincts report results.
Iowa was releasing the caucus votes to the public so I guess it was OK for the media to publish and analyze them and make predictions. Also, the voters had to be at the caucus sites at a particular time and couldn’t just wander in 2 hours late. I have more thoughts on this but will leave it at this. 🙂
