Senator Tim Scott is a professional Republican club member. The New York Times is reporting that Senator Scott plans to endorse former President Donald Trump tonight at a rally in New Hampshire.
Previously, Senator Scott endorsed Lisa Murkowski despite President Trump campaigning for her removal.
As noted, Senator Scott is a DeceptiCon, so his endorsement of President Trump over the naturally aligned DeceptiCon candidate Nikki Haley is somewhat of a surprise.
However, against a backdrop where President Trump is being viewed as almost impossible to beat in the primary and the general election, the club insiders need to position accordingly.
The decision to endorse Trump over Haley will be sold by the media narrative engineers as some kind of betrayal to the former South Carolina governor who appointed Scott to the Senate back in 2012. Senator Scott dropped out of the Republican president primary in November after having taken jabs at Haley but had yet to endorse in the race.
The timing is good to finish off Haley in New Hampshire, her only state of hope. However, let us hope President Trump has not set up a future administrative position for Scott as a result of this endorsement. [Insert Snake Poem Here].
NEW YORK TIMES – Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina will endorse Donald J. Trump on Friday evening at a rally in New Hampshire, according to two people briefed on the matter.
Mr. Scott was traveling to Florida on Friday so that he could fly with Mr. Trump to New Hampshire for the rally, the two people said. His endorsement of Mr. Trump is likely to spur additional discussion of Mr. Scott as a potential running mate for the former president. He is the highest-ranking elected Black Republican in the nation.
Mr. Scott arrived at his decision only recently. After ending his own campaign for president on Nov. 12, he had said he would not endorse “anytime soon.” But he came to the conclusion that Mr. Trump was the best candidate to defeat President Biden, according to one person familiar with his thinking. The move also pre-positions a strong finality to destroying DeSantis in South Carolina. President Trump now has South Carolina endorsements from both senators, Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott, to combine with the endorsement from South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster.

Me Gyn deserved it, and Hillary deserves to be treated like a urinal. Cruz, the self-anointed holy one, was running around on Heidi to the extent she became despondent and was seen wandering into traffic in Texas like she didn’t care if she lived or died. Then Cruz set himself on fire at the GOP convention and no one wanted to stomp out the flames because they feared getting excrement on their shoes.
Pence is also holier than thou. It will not surprise me when he is outed as a guy who won’t have other women in his hotel room because he likes young guys better. Again, President Trump will let someone else spread that truth.
But there is something very wrong about a married woman in government office doing multiple guys because her hubby was sent to war by her neocon buddies. Especially when two of the male skanks signed affidavits she rode them in various locations in the Palmetto State, including multiple rodeos in her Cadillac SUV in the parking lots of the upscale eateries of Columbia. Guess Likki’s rig must have had better shocks than their SUVs. There hadn’t been that much heat in town since one of my ancestors helped General Sherman get a little careless with powder and fire in the Palmetto State.

And not losing not a single voter to Miller in November. Requires a willing suspension of disbelief.

We know this because those things were problems that had to be banned at polling centers. It doesn’t even have to be malicious. If I have my TV on and campaign ad plays while I’m filling out my ballot – that is “electioneering”. If a vote harvester wearing a Biden/Harris 2024 t-shirt shows up at my door to ask if I’ve voted, that is both electioneering AND voter intimidation. Even if they are wearing normal clothes, the simple act of asking “Have you voted?” is voter initimidation.

Anyway, I think we should adopt some of the Lawfare strategy ourselves and start filing lawsuits in Federal court. Friendly state AGs should do the same to force litigation on mail in voting and they should cite 2020 as an example of when harm was done to voters because whether you believe the election was rigged or not, there is absolutely NO WAY to prove the legitimacy of the election because there is no way to prove that voters at home are not being intimidated or influenced while filling out their ballots.

While I share the thoughts of many regarding the wisdom of a pugilistic VP, I am on board with Sundance’s proposition that PDJT needs a special man with whom he has a special trust and relationship, a calm wise counselor of the highest order at his side every moment of the world-righting Presidency to come.
If VSGPDJT were to choose Dr. Ben Carson I may have to take a page out of the DNC handbook – and vote dozens of times! That is a dream ticket right there! Dr. Carson is grounded in Faith! He’s a strong, calm, quiet FORCE!
All that you mentioned plus I think he’s a superb role model for young blacks, a fully-black man who through his own hard work overcame family and economic struggles and became a surgeon at the top of his field. Contrast with half-white pot-smoking Barry O who was given everything and barely did any work at all.
For what its worth i’m with you on this Maquis i believe Dr Carson is much stronger than many believe him to be i think he would be excellent choice for V.P.
I think people mistakenly equate meekness with weakness. When Jesus walked the Earth, He was meek, but He most certainly was not weak. I get the same impression from Dr. Carson.

I, long ago, came to recognize endorsements of candidates by sitting officials or those who were running for higher office to be nothing other than self-serving photo-ops for the endorser rather than an indication that the endorsee was/is particularly qualified and suited for the office (s)he is seeking. I suppose, however, that having a particular endorsement is preferable to NOT having it or having someone else get it, so there’s that.
In the case of Trump, ALL of these tertiary candidates are using their endorsements as tribute in an effort to be invited into Trump’s Inner Circle. It’s all a bit reminiscent of watching a season of “The Apprentice” where the candidates embarrass themselves in their efforts to get the chance to ‘Kiss the Ring’.
That’s not what they should be invited to kiss. IMO

I still think it would be hard to find a better “insurance policy” for Trump than David Clarke. However I’m fully aware he might NOT wind up being the best VP we’ve ever had, so I’m starting to really like the thought of Ben Carson for that role. And now that I think about it, there’s already talk of Trump getting anywhere from 25% to 30% of the black vote. If Ben joins the team, that could even approach 50%. I would NOT support Carson-for-VP if that were the only reason, but it’s not… I think he is a really good, honorable, loyal guy all the way around.

I don’t think there’s a decent chance. I think it’s pretty much zero. Michelle cannot handle a full-time job. She’s never had one in her entire life.
