This bill expands the priorities of the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) to specifically include viral threats that have the potential to cause a pandemic.
In particular, the bill expands the scope of innovation grants and contracts that may be awarded by BARDA to specifically include those that support research and development of certain manufacturing technology for medical countermeasures against viruses, including respiratory viruses, with pandemic potential. It also expands BARDA’s authorized strategic initiatives to include advanced research, development, and procurement of countermeasures and products to address viruses with pandemic potential.
Additional, major hazards of the WHO’s modified international agreement besides censorship and loss of national and individual autonomy explained in the videos below.

Lots of talk about inflation, stagnation, stagflation and shrinkflation today. A point I have been trying to make that nobody seems to be making:
If the economy is growing, the larger money supply is absorbed. In the summer of 2021 all the warning signs were there that the government was printing too much money. People were throwing it around like candy, because it was falling from the heavens (AKA still being printed and handed out to everyone.) The stock market and investment\returns were through the roof. The economy (jobs) and productivity was coming back and things were moving in the right direction. Lockdowns were ending and people were throwing out the masks and going back to work.
The real problems started when the morons in charge stuck their boot on the neck of the resurgent economy. Sh*t sandwich went out in his brown-sh*t suit and demanded an OSHA mandate and more lockdowns that fall. Companies freaked out and started demanding everyone get vaccinated – or else lose their jobs. The supply chains started breaking down and the oil industry being kneecapped by the Green New Deal finally caught up to a huge and sudden demand for diesel and gasoline.
If they had left well enough alone, the country would have roared back. Instead, it whimpered, faltered, and fell flat on it’s face. Rolling layoffs started and haven’t stopped. It’s obvious to anyone paying attention. The government purged the military, aviation, and most of the functioning and resurging middle class based economy and they did it willingly.
In other words, they did all this through either sheer incompetence – or in my opinion an absolutely controlled destruction of what they saw as a positive economic outcome. Cue millions of illegals and the lies about “corporate greed” – those same corporations they made richer by orders of magnitude with their ridiculously destructive policies. It was all so easily avoidable it’s laughable…but here we are.

One of our grandkids’ private Christian school just opted-out of NC’s Opportunity Scholarships. Understanding why is important IMO.
The school’s concern is the way Opportunity Scholarships are administered. If a private school participates, funds for each student come directly to the school, from the government for each family awarded a scholarship. This establishes a direct link from the government to the school which is now dependent on public funding.
This is different from many other states that simply provide a tax credit for the family’s tax return. Our kids’ school determined that the direct payments create onerous government entanglements.
The school also opted out of COVID Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans – government loans that were ultimately forgiven for private schools that took them. Many parents cannot understand why the school is not helping them take advantage of much needed money in these tough times. But the school stands firm refusing to accept deep government entanglements that come with the money – entanglements especially dangerous for a Christian school.
The concern was validated when the courts recently ruled that schools accepting these funds are now subject to laws that previously they were not required to follow.
Sounds like the new progressive playbook. “We’ll let you choose what school you send your kids to as long as it’s a school we approve.”
AZ was either first or one of the first to implement a broad scholarship program providing school choice. This happened under Republican leadership..
Our newly selected faux governor, Katie Hobbs, is now trying to push through all sorts of government “oversight” for any school participating in these programs, essentially forcing many private schools to opt out of the scholarship programs and leaving parents to paying full tuition or sending their kids to a “government approved private school.”
So far, our legislature is standing firm because the program is tremendously popular.

Who wants to wait even 45 minutes for the batteries to charge??? And I know there are lines at most of the charging stations, so while the charging might normally take 45 minutes the waits could tack on another hour or two. Does Elon stand around waiting for his car batteries to charge or does he have a servant do it?

Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) introduced the Glue Trap Prohibition Act, a bill to place a national ban on the possession and use of glue traps to catch rodents. Glue traps – boards coated with adhesive used to catch and kill pests – are among the cruelest ways to eliminate rodents. In their attempts to escape the glue, animals may tear off their skin, and some may even gnaw off their own limbs. Animals that do not escape die of blood loss, suffocation, or dehydration. Glue traps also pose a public health risk. The CDC urges Americans not to use glue traps, as ensnared rodents can spread disease.
The traps are already banned in England, Iceland, Ireland, and New Zealand, as well as in over 100 airports across the country. Last year, West Hollywood became the first city in the country to ban glue traps. Congressman Adam Schiff is an original cosponsor of this bill.
Thank goodness he’s on the job. Now maybe the rest of the US will be awesome, like LA.

1) “Trump was rejected in Iowa by half of conservatives”. Nevermind that some of the people voting were not conservatives, or that the weather likely suppressed the turnout so that only about 100K people voted. Nevermind that Trump had a historic win there and won all but one county. 🙂
2) “Trump now looks very tired and frail” as they show a picture of him entering an Iowa hotel at like 3am, because after a full day of grueling activities he’s not allowed to look tired at 3am. 🙂 These same people say Biden looks and functions just fine. lol
