Property taxes need to be cancelled for every district that does this. Property taxes are for local issues/schools etc…
I feel no sympathy for NYC residents at all. They chose to have this govt. They get whatever comes their way. It was fine when the migrants were confined to the border states. Then the NYC and Chicago residents were holier than thou in praising the invaders and saying they were welcome. Then the border governors decided they shouldn’t be the only ones holding the bag on this issue so they moved them out. Oops. Now, it’s not such a great idea to have unlimited illegals in the country and their state. Too darn bad. Until they are deported back to Mexico, you get them sanctuary cities. Enjoy.

That is about the only mechanism left to us. But we don’t stand up for ourselves. No Canadian Trucker protest here. (Maybe an imitation joy ride, but no real protest.) No Dutch or German Farmer protests either.
And when those we voted against manipulate thugs into looting and rioting sprees and they call it a protest, we don’t stand up for ourselves.
But they were laying in wait to take us down then. Just like they were laying in wait to entrap us when we did protest a stolen election.
There is so much being done to us that is bad now and horrible for our future. At most, a few stand up to fix something. All are demonized for trying. And the rest of us don’t do anything.
It is like we are codependent victims of abuse. Trying our best to not give our abuser cause to abuse us more. Never accepting that the abuse is a control mechanism and will never stop unless we do something.
In a nutshell.
I don’t think anyone in NYC or NYS voted on becoming a Sanctuary City or State. More like the city and State Gov. just made a declaration.
Something like that Vote would’ve been big news to everyone here.

We do not know for certain but I will guarantee you that the people of Chicago and NYC looked down at all of us racist/nativists who have watched our cities and town in the SW USA turn to garbage thanks to illegal immigration. They are where we were 40 years ago and we were told by these Lovers of Diversity in cities untouched by diversity that we need to sit down and shut up.
In California, the voters passed a measure barring illegals from receiving government benefits and a judge overruled the measure. Just like that, CA became an even bigger cesspool.
Wait until the people of Chicago and NYC see how the illegals “improve” the homes in which they live. They do plywood room additions, do not landscape, no maintenance, couches on the front porch, and garbage in their backyards.
I live in Las Vegas and we came home one night and one group was burning trash in the backyard. Our trees are on the dry side. The flames were 30 feet high above the roof and the houses were on 6000 sq ft lots. Every weekend was a party with mariachi music blasting so loud that you could hear it 8 houses away. Every 4th of July, the sky was on fire with explosions and the next day the streets were filled with the litter of fireworks. We moved shortly thereafter.
Don’t even try to go to the doctor’s office. A family of 7 takes up most of the seats so that one person in the group can see the doctor.
At one of the major casinos, we were forced to take a diversity class. Our instructor (former military) told us a story. A black, American female worked in the housekeeping department. She complained to him that the Spanish speaking women (who also spoke English) would only speak Spanish in front of her making her feel excluded. The instructor proudly told us that his response was (paraphrasing), “Why don’t YOU learn Spanish so that YOU can make THEM feel welcome and included? How about YOU do THAT???!!!!”
Everyone needs to understand that they are erasing the benefits and rights of being an American citizen. The only way that these smug, open borders types are going to learn is to experience it themselves. It is unfortunate that most people only learn by doing and experience but so be it.

A couple years ago the house behind mine became a rental. The first renters, non-English speaking brought in chickens and goats. The chickens were all over my yard but then the renters started building a thing to hang, and butcher their goats and the war began.
It took a ton of phone calls, and many other neighbors also joining in and calling the authorities that finally removed the farm animals – this is in small lot suburban area. Farm animals not allowed.
That house has now been sold and the new owners, who plan to live there, have been gutting the interior just to make it livable.
The whole area is slowly, one rental house at a time, going downhill, and we’ve now had a whiff of what is to come simply because it stands out so easy, like a sore thumb, to see what 3rd world really means.
I wonder when these mayors are going to realize FJB has been flying illegals to their cities for years?

I also suspect sending us the “special” version wasn’t random as they claimed but there was some sort of profiling.

He is, indeed. But (as much as I hate to say it) he did have 1 valid reason for denying the delay. Secret Service logistics for security arrangements can be a nightmare, especially since there are other trials taking place in the building at the same time. He pointed out that they already had to “evict” another jury trial for the day just so they could have the closing arguments with Trump present in the courtroom.
I’m sure the SS would not have had any issues with rescheduling things; they’re used to it as things often happen on the fly with their protectees. But I also doubt that everyone else conducting business/trials in the building would be thrilled with it since they’ve already had to rearrange things at least once.
I see. So it’s OK for the judge to to deny the requested delay because it inconveniences someone. Got it.

Things were well-staffed for a Sunday morning.
A formidable force of US Border Patrol, Texas National Guard, and Texas Dept. of Public Safety personnel was hard at work.
Truckloads of supplies (food, water, Pampers) and portable facilities were present, with Texas BBQ smoker grills standing nearby.
Secure Location but not for legal citizens; I was kicked out.
As I explored the area, armored personnel directed me to leave and suggested the media area or the nearby golf course. “Get back in your Tesla, and leave!”
I drove my Tesla to the media area. I admit I was impressed by their awareness of the Tesla brand.
The irony of the situation was not lost on me: the area was secured only for illegal immigrants.
At 9:30 am, I witnessed US Border Patrol welcoming two illegal immigrants, who were driven off in a van. Stray dogs roamed between the immigrants and me, initially growling at me but eventually quieting down.
Later, I met a Fox News crew at the media area. The livestream operator pointed out a group of illegal immigrants approaching US Border Patrol.
The crew advised me to return to my hotel and come back later, as it was too cold for many immigrants to cross.
Bathrooms for the Illegal but not for the Legal
Despite the unwelcoming atmosphere, I remained in the Media Area until 11:30 am.
At 11:40 am, I was informed that I couldn’t use the porta potties because they were reserved for the migrants. Again, irony. If I needed to take a sh*t, it would have to be in the bushes.
Millions Blown on Illegal Immigrant Welcome Party! Eagle Pass felt like a waste of our tax dollars, our hard earned resources. A fully staffed “welcome party” was just there for one purpose, the welcoming of illegal immigrants. 11:42 am – A jumbo bus and two smaller vans rolled up, ready to shuttle illegal immigrants away.
From the golf course, I caught the scene on video, thinking, “Okay, that’s a ton of cash to be throwing around!”
2:15 pm – I bid adieu to the Fox team and the massive crew of US Border Patrol, Texas National Guard, and Texas Dept. of Public Safety personnel. They were still there, probably wondering how the heck they got stuck with this gig.
3:28 pm – I returned to the Media View area to record a video, thinking, “Hey, come on down to Eagle Pass, where the party never stops… for illegal immigrants!”
3:35 pm – At the Texas Border wall, I noticed it was wide open, like a revolving door. I strolled through a well-worn path under the train tracks, where I found discarded shoes, coins, and clothing from migrants who had just crossed the Rio Grande. It’s like a fashion show down there!

IDK about nurses, but we bring in WAY too many engineers on H1-B visas. Theoretically they are only supposed to be hired if the company proves that they could not find a qualified US citizen. Absolute BS and completely abused by American corps.
Corporations love H1-B engineers. They will do anything they are told because if they are let go they get sent back to whatever 3rd world they came from. They bring down US engineer wages (supply/demand). They’ll work ridiculous hours, and cut any corner or make any unethical decision they are told to by management. Come layoffs, the US workers get laid off — further increasing the H1-B dependence on doing what they are told.
Certainly in some cases, coming from a completely different culture, they have no problem with cutting corners or ethics. In a lot of cases, they’re just desperate not to get sent back home. Either way it’s not a healthy thing.
Much like immigration in general, I don’t think we should necessarily shut the spigot entirely, but we need to cut it way way back while we put controls in place.

When my grade school teacher told the class oil came from decaying dinosaurs, I asked her how they got 3000 feet in the ground. No answer.
I remember that also about dinosaurs from the first grade – I can just imagine that teacher – she probably wrote something down for your dossier!

Since the internet, I have started researching things for myself, and found out that they don’t really know that for a fact.
Somewhere along the line the explanation for fossil got short circuited to mean dinosaur remains;
from an old 1908 era textbook on geology the word fossil was descriptive in the explanation of the time frame where the earth saw the creation of sedimentary materials, shoals, rocks and so before humans started roaming the earth, fossil represented a time-frame to give the students an understanding of epochs, eras, the slow time of creation and evolution;
and in the dumbing down of our education system to accommodate the masses that understanding was shortened to mean dinosaur bones!
The term “Fossil Fuels” is used to make you think it is finite.

In 30+ years in engineering R&D I usually managed to have one more joint university research projects underway any given year. Typically, my employer and/or a strategic customer would work out a project directly with scientists/professors at major universities and share the cost of the research with the university which had government grants. We needed answers, innovation and IP. Arranging for predetermined results would have would be self-defeating.
About two years into the reign of Obama, I starting getting calls from the research professors we worked with. They told me we no longer could bring our joint research proposals to the University Boards for approval. Their universities were could only get government grants by submitting their proposals to K-Street lobbying firms in DC. Government grants were only going to schools that would agree to produce research results that aligned with government agendas.
Needless to say, we were not going let DC swindlers to tell us what our research results would be. The professors however had to go along or lose their research funding and/or job.

This dismal truth struck me while I found myself explaining the Barack Obama-produced Netflix film Leave The World Behind to friends and family over the holidays.
Many of them simply didn’t get it. They asked questions like: Why does it matter that Obama produced it? The idea that Barack Obama’s extensive involvement in a film about the collapse of America from cyber attacks should be a major cause for concern was lost on them.
I tried to explain to them that Obama was the shadowy figure actually in charge of the Biden regime, rather than the nursing home patient who walks around the halls of the White House most nights, without his pants, in confusion — according to my Secret Service sources.
In other words, the actual leader of the Biden regime bothered to produce a film about the collapse of America from cyber attacks in an election year. This made a slightly bigger impression on some of my friends and family — but not by much.
Many of them had stopped watching or reading the news altogether in the last few years. Most of them were still living in the past — in the old America of their memory — while waiting for the Biden regime to disappear or collapse.
