Simply, because DeSantis sucks as a candidate, and at a certain point the management cannot overcome the candidate weakness. When is Congress going to do its job and vet these candidates? If her parents were NOT citizens at the time of her birth, she is not natural born and is therefore ineligible.

The United States Constitution says “Natural Born” for the Presidency rather than just “Citizen” like with the Senate and House, so obviously they meant something substantially more restrictive and in all likelihood went by Vattel’s definition of ‘Natural Born”, which was born on soil of parents (plural) who where American citizens at the time of the individual’s birth.
It is NOT Congresses job to vette candidates for eligibility to serve as POTUS.
It is the 50 SoS’s of the 50 States, who are required to ‘Certify’ every candidate they put on the ballot is qualified to serve in the office they are running for.
Unfortunately, this has devolved to the SoS’s applying “the honor system” to, of all people the dishonorable National Party Chairs of the major Political parties (for Potus, Vpotus) and State party chairs for all other offices.
The RNC and DNC (and presumably libertarial and green party) chairs will write a letter (50 copies) to the State SoS’s informing them “x” is our endorsed candidate for POTUS/VPOTUS and we (the party) certify to you (State SOS) that they are qualified to serve.
The SoS’s then certify, BASED ON that certification from the parties, and typically do NO independent examination to detirmine eligibility.
Much like the certification of election results, the process has become corrupted, such as with County Recorders/election boards that REFUSED to certify their results being threatened with arrest and prosecutions.

Nikki Haley, former US ambassador to the United Nations and governor of South Carolina, will not launch a White House bid if former President Donald Trump chooses to run.
Haley made the revelation while speaking to reporters Monday during a visit to South Carolina State University after being asked whether she would support the 45th commander-in-chief if he mounted a 2024 run.
“Yes,” she said.

The only ‘ski lodge’ in Manchester, NH is “McIntyre Ski Area” which does look like a lovely and quaint place to take the family.
I am a big fan of these “old school” smaller ski areas for many reasons, but it’s laughable and appropriate that this was the venue chosen for such an important and (in)significant announcement.

I think going forward, we need to call the first loser bunch as not in 2nd place, but 3rd place. In many polls, you can cut Trumps number in half and he (Trump 1 and 2) would still be leading.

The GOP Establishment is clearly intending to keep Donald Trump from becoming the Republican nominee even if he wins all the primaries.
The GOPe must keep Nikki and Ron waiting in the wings for however long it takes to deny Donald Trump the nomination through whatever methods and means the GOPe intends to use in getting rid of him.
Once Trump is disposed of, the choice will come down to Nikki or Ron. If, God forbid, the GOPe is successful in denying Trump the nomination, my bet is on Nikki as the GOPe’s preferred replacement.
Why Nikki? Because as slick and slimey as Ron DeSantis is, Nikki Haley is slicker and slimier.

This includes lawsuits, law changes, alphabet agencies, pandemics or any other hail Marys they will throw at PDJT. We must stop the steal and I am concerned that this is easier said than done.
