Could this lead to problems in high school and college age women forced to take the vaccines down the road? I would differ. My experience has shown that democrats tend to vote on what will benefit them, while republicans have a large percentage that vote on what will benefit the country. In the old days one could argue this was income related, but not now.

I was chatting last week with four Ukrainians who now live in the U.S. (not sure how or why, and they have heavy accents — and been meeting a LOT lately).
Anyway, somewhere in the conversation, something prompted me to decry the hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers lost, given that Russia is going to prevail in this. All four turned to me with shocked (or disapproving) faces, and one said “No way; Ukraine is winning, Ukraine will win.”
I am still pondering where they are getting their information. They still have friends and family in Ukraine. I guess no real media gets through?

President Biden recently repeated the claim that high prices are caused by greedy businesses. Biden is not alone in trying to gaslight the people into thinking price inflation is rooted in the actions of private individuals and not the fiat money system Americans have lived under since 1971. In the media we see excessive consumer spending on luxury items, for example, being blamed for continued price inflation. The fact is that increased consumer demand can only cause prices to rise in those sectors of the economy subject to the increased demand. Prices increasing across the economy are always the result of the Federal Reserve’s conduct of monetary policy.
Trying to minimize the harm of inflation, some people in government and media will insist that, while many prices for goods are higher than they were pre-lockdown, they are still lower than were prices in the 1990s when you consider that the quality of these goods has increased. The argument is that buyers are getting higher value today than 30 years ago. Of course, any increased quality is because of market-driven innovation. If America had a free-market monetary system, instead of central bank-controlled fiat currency, prices would drop as quality increases.
It is also important not to ignore the fact that the Federal Reserve’s devaluation of the dollar’s purchasing power creates an incentive for individuals to spend money as soon as they receive it and a disincentive for them to save. This is because the dollar will have less value a year from now than today. Therefore, high levels of spending are a rational response to an irrational fiat money system.
High prices and supply shortages were inevitable after the lockdowns. However, prices would have adjusted back more if the Federal Reserve had not pushed interest rates to zero. While the Fed has raised interest rates, it has not raised rates to anywhere near where they would likely be in a free market. In fact, rates are not at historically high levels, yet many worry the Fed’s rate increases are pushing the economy toward a recession. This shows how addicted Americans are to the Fed’s “easy money,”
When the dollar’s purchasing power erodes, workers will seek higher wages. This is why periods of high price inflation are accompanied by strikes and other types of union activity aimed at increasing wages. This has made unions another popular scapegoat for price inflation when the truth is that Fed-caused price increases are the real reasons behind labor unrest.

My main quibble with Mr. Paul’s article would be in the second paragraph–

Not me. I have a newish LG oven that isn’t cooking anything on the bottom and not holding temp. My mom has the same oven we had when I was a kid. I’m 53. So no. I don’t agree.
I had the same quibble when I first read it, Paprika! The QUALITY of goods is most definitely NOT better today than 30 years ago, in my humble opinion.

On Sunday, I wrote about Glenn Greenwald’s insightful discussion at his System Update news show last week about how American politicians’ threats to ban TikTok are part of the effort to gain greater government control over the social media platform that has already, Greenwald stated, “had to agree more and more” to implement United States government censorship demands.
Here is an update. TikTok has since banned Greenwald’s System Update from its social media platform.

While Greenwald says TikTok has not disclosed the reason for the permanent ban of the page used just to post clips from System Update, the two previous times the page had been called out by TikTok for purported violations, with a video removed each time, were for content critical of the US government. Five years back, technology companies were hitting their stridewith cracking down on alternative voices. That crackdown has continued over the ensuing years. Further, evidence has increasingly been revealed that fills out the story of how United States government agents have behind the scenes been pushing the crackdown.
Given this context, one is wise to be skeptical of politicians and bureaucrats of the US government, along with their media allies, clamoring that TikTok needs to be banned because it is spreading propaganda for the government of China. Now, given the results of the rasmussen reports poll on mail in ballot voters, WHY in the HECK would you urge MAGA people to “Vote in person on election day”?
Especially after seeing what happened in MARACOPA County in 2022, in which 3 different methods they used to cheat, were utterly dependent on our
voters waiting till election day, to vote in person!
Sharpigate, the broken machines both obviously only worked because our voters voting on election day.
The 3rd tactic id also dependant on OUR voting pattern: Valentine spotted it when searching the voter rolls.
THEY identified 10,000 likely MAGA voters; always registered R, always vote, but in person on dlection day, never requested ansentee ballot or voted early in person and live in red district.
They changed these voters zop codes (only) for their addresses on the voter rolls, and requested absentee ballots for them.
Because the automated equipment at the post office “caught” that the address did not match up with the zipcode, it diverted these 10,000 mail out ballot envelopes, ostensibly to a department whete humans were supposed to try to resolve the discrepency in the address.
They were then collected and transported to the Mother shop, whete they were “processed” i.e. marked for hobbs, stuffed into enbelopes, signed and inserted into the system at Runbeck, and then on into the tabulation center, where they were counted as early drop box or mail in ballots, after which the zip codes were switched back.
When the ‘real’ voter showed up in person on election day, they were told they couldn’t vote, because the records show they had already voted by absentee ballot.
When they insisted they had not, they were given a Provisional ballot, which would never actually be counted, so THEIR vote for KL was cancelled, and instead effectively “flipped” to HOBBS, so the 10,000 balllots had the effect of benefiting Hobbs by 20,000 votes.
IF these voters had requested absentee ballots, insuring the election dept had their correct address including zip code, that alone (even if they didn’t USE the ballot) would have prevented their vote from effectively being stolen
IF they had filled out the ballot, put it in the envelope and either dropped it at an early voting location , or at the County recorders office, the sharpiegate and broken machines would not have adversely impacted their vote, and Kari Lake would be Governor.
Please, please PUHLEASE! DO NOT advocate MAGA voters vote the way we think elections SHOULD BE, vote the way they ARE.
Generally, request an early ballot if they are available in your area, double checking they have your correct address, even if you don’t intend to use it.
CONSIDER using it, and EDUMACATE yourself on the specifics of voting in your specific location, to detirmine the best way to insure your vote isn’t nullified.
Vote early, vote often, vote smarter AND harder!

Starting tomorrow, arch-Eurocrat Donald Tusk will once again be Prime Minister of Poland, and outgoing Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki only has himself to blame.
