There was a woman and her dog who were engaged for it. A crew stationed itself in her house to record the actions of her dog. She left the house for work. As soon as she got into her car to return home (which she alerted the crew to) her little dog got up and went to the window watching for her return.
The next day instead of her normal routine of leaving and coming straight home, she made several stops. Her dog made no move to his usual place watching for her.
But as soon as she started driving home, he immediately jumped up and took his position at the window.
The experiment was repeated again and again, the results the same each time.
I found this amazing!!
Our precious Penny was always at her watch tower (the back of a sofa in our drawing room facing the front of the house so she could see us come in). When one or the other of our cars pulled into the drive, she’d leap off, tear through the house and out the cat flap in our back door and around the corner…her little bottom wiggling, so excited to see us.
Don’t tell me they don’t have that sixth sense. What we do not know about our beloved pups could probably fill quite a few libraries 😍 Miss her still…

The little dog we had when I was little was always waiting at the door for Daddy when he was still blocks away. It didn’t matter what time of day or which direction or street he was on. I was always amazed by that.

Our last dog, a border collie, adopted us as much as we adopted her. I was eating lunch on the patio of my favorite restaurant when I noticed our space was shared by a border collie There was a water and food bowl—the staff was obviously feeding her.
Suddenly I felt a slight weight on my knee. looking down, I found the soft brown eyes of a friendly border collie staring up at me. I immediately realized I had claimed. . .
“Sweetie” came home with me where she fit right in with our multiple cat family. She immediately bonded with my wife, who was developing advanced Alzheimer’s, becoming her constant companion. Sweetie was with us for eight years, each one of which was illuminated by her abiding love for us. she died quietly at home, knowing she was loved by her adoptive family.
Sent by Almighty God and St Francis, my friend. I do wonder if she sensed your wife’s illness You know it has been documented that dogs do sniff out these things. You and she needed her as much as she needed you both. I’m convinced of it 🕊💕
Observing her behavior, I was convinced she was able to know that my wife needed her attention. Was this part of her natural herding instinct? Probably. Honestly, it was all a bit uncanny how she so quickly understood that my wife was supposed to be her “work”. Once that happened they became constant companions.

We’ll be doing the same on the Sunday before Thanksgiving with our granddog The Mags …half poodle, half something else. Like yours, deb, she is a love. We will have go share our double bed with her..m for about 5 MI ites, before she realizes it’s not HER bed and moves off to her soft plush one.

Israel Update:
-A terror attack in the West Bank. A Jewish young guy 21 old and a woman 23 are badly injured after they were shot in a car. The baby they had wasn’t hurt.
Note: You remember my rant about Biden’s Administration asking Israel to control Settlers violent? It was a day or two ago. I mentioned that I hear of violent attacks on settlers almost daily or weekly. I never hear of settlers hurt Palestinians aside from some rare occasions per year. So wrong.
-The US attacked Iranian weapon storage in Syria. Note: A weak response to many attacks on US bases. But, better than nothing. By the way I would be interested to know why the US have bases in Syria?
-The Houthis from Yemen shot down an American unmanned airplane over the Red Sea. The Red Sea extends from the furthest south part of Israel down to Yemen that is 1,400 Miles away. It is quite insane that they care about Israel. They are so far away.
-Israeli Attack in Damascus Syria. This is common about every week or two for some years. Israel is after Iranian shipments to Hezbollah. Specially precise missiles. No data on injuries. Usually there are a couple.
-IDF responded to Hezbollah rockets, attacked technological means of Hezbollah and military posts.
-New US Ambassador went to the Western Wall to light a candle in memorial of the murdered Israelis. He also met families of people who were evacuated from the tragic area. Note: He is new and the one before was Pro Palestinian. The Ambassador that Trump had in Israel was by far the best!
-A lot of noice after it was published with images that together with Hamas were also AP, CNN and NY Times photographers. I mean they were there one with his “press” shirt filming or photographing Hamas murder and how they mutilated an Israeli body. They knew to be there and didn’t report in advance on the upcoming terror attack.
-130 tunnel shafts were destroyed so far. Lots of work.
-An estimated 50,000 Gazans left the North to the South today. This to some degree indicates that Hamas is losing the grip on the population.
-Israeli Police collected some 700 testimonials from survivors. They release a testimony of a Hamas group rape, and the rape is the easy part to read about. I will skip the rest. Just awful!
Those monsters were cutting off body parts of people including children. This women also mentioned how they hold heads of the beheaded, etc… It’s hard to believe until you listen to testimonials and you see it is real.
-There is a controversy in Israel if to release the 47 min horrors footage that the IDF made. Some Psychiatrists say it can cause PTSD just watching it. It was shown to Israeli Parliament people. The reactions were filmed and some were heavily sobbing, one man who is an experienced solider and police guy leaning over a wall and had to be supported and then went into am anger attack, one lost consciousness. None managed to watch more than a few minutes. You see things they did to children and families that are serious abuse and torture. In investigations they said that their religious leaders approved rape and killing women and children. I mean this was “approved by the so called religious leaders”.
The film was shown to leading media bosses in the US and it is scheduled for Hollywood bosses, there is a Muslim protest arranged, they are trying to prevent the showing.
-In an interview to NY Times the Deputy of Sinwar (the mastermind of 10/7 and military leader) said that “we succeeded to bring the Palestinian subject to the table and now no one in the region have peace.” “I hope the war with Israel will become continual in all the borders and the Arab world will stand with us”. “There was a need to change the equation”.
Note: I assume that the only reason this man is alive now is the hostages.
-UK Prime Minister will go to Saudi Arabia to meet the Foreign Ministers of the Arab League.
Note: In Israel we just want everyone to stay away and let us handle it. We know what need to be done. The Arab League has a long history of intense hate to Israel. In past wars they published statements about “the floods of blood of the jews”. Etc…
On another note I watched today a video of a Muslim Imam violently arrested in Saudi Arabia for contradicting the Prince in the direction of hate to Israel. So who knows where this will end?
-Still a lot of intentional obscurity of the IDF operations in Gaza. We so far have some 34 dead soldiers in the operation and many hundreds injured at different degrees. It is not a walk in the park and Hamas are not surrendering. But the upper level are saying the plans are moving forward well.
-Lots of talk about some 12 hostages to be released in exchange for 3 days of ceasefire.
To me it looks like psychological war. Making Israel blamed for refusing the release of hostages. I believe those are foreign nationals. Note: 3 days ceasefire will cost the lives of soldiers. The Hamas will improve positions, smuggle supplies, booby trap more roads and buildings. The only way Israel should stop is if they let ALL women and children and elderly out. This is not going to happen. Hamas needs its “life insurance” with them.
-I don’t know if the following is true but it is from a Channel 14 in Israel which is usually reliable. But remember that the enemy is watching Israeli TV so it could be an intentional deception. Their expert is saying:
“We are in stage B of the war which is the land maneuver and it is suppose to be for a few months. We are only two weeks into it. Then there will be larger longer step of a number of months trying to stabilize the situation in Gaza, in this stage Hamas will be defeated and wouldn’t produce any significant events. In Israel they are attempting to put Gaza under full Israeli security control but not political control. Similar to some zones in the West Bank.
Last, Israel intends to make Gaza look 100 worse than the worst village that the Hamas burned in Israel.
Note: I mentioned it before. The final image of this war is of the outmost importance.
If all of Gaza is demolished and most of Hamas is dead and the final image is a Hamas leader standing proud with V with his fingers and a big smile, then Israel is losing.
If the final image is of all Hamas Leaders are dead, Hamas is out of Gaza and the place looks like a pile of rabble. This will be etched in the enemies minds for generations. Hezbollah will be afraid and Saudi Arabia will once again believe that Israel is a good partner against Iran and will make peace. And Gazans will no longer be so enthusiastic about mass killing of jews. So this is the MIddle East equation. It is nothing like the West. Only the strong is respected and the weak is attacked. A partial win against Hamas is a loss.
-The speech of the Speaker of Hamas is played in some mosques in the West Bank in a few cities. This is pure incitement. Remember that this area is under the Palestine Authority control that Biden seems to love and trust.
-The IDF and Shabak (spy agency) produced a presentation and documentation of the war crimes of Hamas in they way they use civilians as human shields:
Hamas is using ambulances, hospitals, clinics, mosques and schools for terror.
The recording is of a Hamas talking with a civilian and tells his “I can use any ambulance that I want”.
According to interrogations they also “have their own ambulances that look like regular ambulances. They have them in a base. They use the ambulances to transport people, weapons and foods.”
More interrogation data: “Most of Hamas leaders political and military are hiding in hospitals. Mainly the Shifa Hospital.” “Under schools Hamas stores weapons and munitions”.
“Many places in Gaza were boobytrapped and the operation wires lead to mosques and medical clinics.
Note: Gaza is the largest terror city ever created. It is not a simple war, specially because of the hostages. The IDF will win!
—I just saw a report in one of my social media outlets that says the USA is attacking ferociously on Iran Backed Militia in Syria. It was described on local media as “unprecedented”. We should hear more about it in a few hours when it makes it to more main media. This follows some 50+ attacks in US bases recently.
-Reports of large IDF forces in Jenin (A terror hub city in the West Bank) are there to arrest terrorist. I saw on social media a huge explosion that was detonated against them.
So far no reports of injuries. God please no casualties. If this is clear then it’s a miracle. I mean this was an explosion that can finish two vehicles full of soldiers. IDF and Border Police have rounded a few hundreds Hamas people in the West Bank and also other organizations.

The reason I write them, is simply to share my thoughts, as one who loves the Lord and am feeding on His word every day, while watching these things, and learning.

So in that sense, the radical Moslem would in fact be the perfect replica of Mohamed and his first followers; ruthless savages, pedophiles, and murderers; that’s what their entire history has been, antichrist heathen warlords, murdering and destroying everything, to bring the world into subjection to themselves. So the so-called Westernized or secular Moslems, are in a sense, what the contemporary Christian is mostly today; one that has abandoned the first faith of the Lord and the apostles and prophets, in order to get along with and have a nice life in this world.

But we are still there because the US military disobeyed direct orders from their Commander in Chief. They even participated in his ouster by committing treason with China.
Oh yeah, the replacement they helped install allowed them to beef up their presence in Syria. Or maybe they just did it anyways regardless of what Biden wanted.
There was a serious disconnect in the Afghanistan withdrawal. Trump had them plan it, and they did so unwillingly. The Trump approved plans vanished with Trump. The installed one insisted it go forward. But the military was so unwilling, it was managed by the State Department. Which tends to control all things military now.
There continues to be a stench of mutiny coming out of the US military these days. Subdued but resentful.

1. The war in Syria was continuing and no side was winning, and then Iran and Russia went into Syria to keep Assad in. So Iran and Russia basically own Assad now.
As for Israel, Russia allowed Israel to bomb targets in Syria for a while now. Usually Hezbollah weapons transport vehicles. I suspect Israel would have done it anyway, but it is nice that Russia was ok with it.
2. When the Syrian civil war began, it was Obama’s red line. He said a bunch of stuff and made the side against Assad (I forget their name, maybe the rebels or something?) anyway, Obama made the side against Assad think that they had US support. So they rose up. But then got no support.
The fighting was ongoing for ages because neither side was strong enough to win.
In contrast, people in Iran also tried to rise against their government and were squashed quite quickly. If anyone should have support to overthrow their government, it should be Iran!
This was the end part of the Arab Spring.
3. I can’t say anything about US bases there because I don’t know.

After getting my laughs in, it is not clear to me that the Doctor was aware of the full implications of his words.
It is even funnier that in terms of a husband ‘biblically’ knowing his wife, Mohamed is represented as the wife.
To be fair, it does not seem that the author is saying anything more than that these men really did know Mohamed. But feel free to laugh at the imagery his words invoke.

I’ve looked at a number of things that Dr. Warner has on YouTube, and at a certain point he says plainly, that he is not a Christian; and it is obvious by looking at the level of stress and unhappiness on his face, that he is bearing up under very much persecution and threats for what he has posted online. However he comes to a conclusion to NOT be a believer, I have no idea; I never met him. But I do pray the Lord would be merciful and forgiving to him, for the good work he has done, and his incredible bravery.
Its the same spirit of the beast, that rapes and savagely mutilates and murders. Revelation 12 shows where that comes from, and chapter 13 shows its being acted out in men: its the devil’s seed raging and making war against the elect of God, for Christ’s sake. This is very critical information David. We need to get this out on the internet worldwide. It is totally damning for the media and it raises doubts about US involvement happening so quickly. If the terror attack upon Israel was known in advance by anyone other than Hamas it changes everything about how we all look at this. If reporters knew then why not intelligence services of Israel and other country s?

…There are some serious questions, though Honest Reporting, an outfit that tracks anti-Israel bias, goes so far as to accuse the photographers of potentially being complicit in a terror attack (via Honest Reporting):
“On October 7, Hamas terrorists were not the only ones who documented the war crimes they had committed during their deadly rampage across southern Israel. Some of their atrocities were captured by Gaza-based photojournalists working for the Associated Press and Reuters news agencies whose early morning presence at the breached border area raises serious ethical questions.
What were they doing there so early on what would ordinarily have been a quiet Saturday morning? Was it coordinated with Hamas? Did the respectable wire services, which published their photos, approve of their presence inside enemy territory, together with the terrorist infiltrators? Did the photojournalists who freelance for other media, like CNN and The New York Times, notify these outlets? Judging from the pictures of lynching, kidnapping and storming of an Israeli kibbutz,
it seems like the border has been breached not only physically, but also journalistically.

Never ever expect that hog to address the real reason why SS and MC are in trouble and will remain so. A Federal Government over twice the size it should be and who thinks that the money is theirs and not the peoples.
I don’t think they should have to contribute to SS if they are able to provide their own retirement. No contribution, no collection. It is either that, or corporations need to provide a realistic, interest bearing retirement account for their workers.
Ahhh but then that would not be”socialist” security. That would be private retirement security – same as a 401k that creates an annuity for retirement income.
The original idea (during the Great Depression) was to help those poorer folk who never made enough to save for retirement, including widows of deceased men (and vice versa).
Of course once the Democrats get their toe in the door (or in this case their fingers into our wallets)…..their demands never ceased….
As to corporations providing realistic interest bearing retirement accounts, that can look great on paper but when interest rates are close to 0, it doesn’t grow the principle as is needed to provide the required / promised payments for the retired folks. It is a bit more complex than one might think.

11/9/2023 – And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
John 16:7-11 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter (one called in to help) will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they believe not on Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father, and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.”
In this which Jesus just said, is the whole reason He has left us in the world; which while it has many parts that all work together to God’s intended end; it is because “all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.” (1 Cor. 12:11) The entire discourse at the Last Supper, and concluding with His prayer for His disciples; was about what would be our experience as Christ’s ambassadors and heralds and teachers of the kingdom of God to the world. And while all through the time He was with them up till then, Jesus taught the disciples about how to walk with God, and what it meant that the kingdom of heaven had come into them; now however, as He is about to depart out of the world, and pass the mantle down to us to continue the work; He assures us of the Presence of God’s indwelling Spirit, that would be our enabling and competence for the work.
Let’s say that again. The reason why Jesus leaves us in the world, is so that the world may be able to see our unity and love for one another, that the world may believe that the Father has sent His Son Jesus into the world; and, that by His Spirit dwelling in us, helping us to do the works of Jesus, we would convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. Our work is to preach the gospel and teach all men to keep everything Jesus has commanded: and just as Noah’s obedience in building the ark, was for the saving of his house, it was also what condemned the world; so do we bring Jesus’ word to the world, their only means of being saved, that also condemns them that do not obey Him.
This world is already judged unto death and destruction because of sin. The only reason why God judged it righteous to show us mercy and patience, and still let us live, (albeit as under probation,) is because of that Jesus Christ was coming in the flesh to give His life to redeem us to God. That is how God saw it righteous to have mercy and to forgive us; and when His only way for us to be saved, or be made worthy of being saved, is neglected, judgment is already made, and it is to that judgment they must go. This is the work that we are called to as Jesus’ disciples; and this is why the Holy Spirit has been sent down to be in us; because we need His help to do what we are here to do; which is to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; showing the world the grace and truth that has been wrought in us by faith in Jesus.
When the disciples came to Jesus on the Mount of Olives, asking Him about what the signs would be of His coming and the end of the world; the first thing He said in answering them, was to “Take heed that no man deceive you: for many would come in My Name (saying they are Christians), and would deceive many.” As we continue reading, He tells us that we shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; all which are necessary to come to pass; but the end is not yet: and that nations rising against nations, and kingdom against kingdoms, famines and pestilences and earthquakes against places, are but the beginning of sorrows. And why does He tell us these things? Because THEN will they deliver us up to be afflicted and killed. Why? Because we are convicting the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment!
Why is there going to be such widespread falling away and betrayal from formerly Christian brothers and sisters? Why will so many false prophets arise, and be able to deceive many? Why is God letting go His restraint from the workers of iniquity, and Christian love growing cold? It is the very fierceness of the times; times that are the direct result of everyone being witnessed to and convicted by God’s elect, and making light of it, not caring for it, and fighting against our words. That is why it is imperative for us to endure to the end: to preach the gospel in all the world, among all nations.
Jesus had to depart all the way He did, in order to redeem us to God and prepare a place for us; so we could be with Him where He is. So too it was expedient for us that he go away, that He could complete the sealing of our salvation by giving us the Holy Spirit, to help us fulfill God’s will in the earth till Jesus returns.

The older I get the more I hear that “if I would have known…”, when I was 17 playing GIJoe for my Uncle Sam I didn’t think I would make it to 30 and here I am 52 with a long life ahead of me if I take care of myself, watching my friend Bill die from bad lifestyle decisions has made me reassess how I will live from here on out …health is another form of wealth.

Good morning all.
They’re here pouring concrete. Garage floor and Sunroom floor are already poured. That leaves the small slab and steps for the sunroom sliding glass door, the 10′ apron, footers for the overhang posts, and the walk that leads from the front door to the garage pass door and the overhang.
Of course Murphy never takes a vacation and so the wind is blowing leaves around and is a pain in the rear! So there are a couple guys are that constantly working with blowers to keep as many leaves as possible off the new concrete.
I did what I can in my yard but the new neighbors to the south have a yard full leaves and of course some trees are still dropping.
Sherry was complaining before that she thought the sunroom was too small. But now that the floor is poured the true 12′ x 19′ size is more apparent and she is now happy and thinks it is plenty big enough.
Next week I will be taking care of some details. For example, picking out the windows for the sunroom. I have decided that sliding windows will offer maximum visibility and airflow. I just need to settle on the size(s). Then there will things like the insulated overhead doors for the garage. Windows or no windows? That is one I’m not sure about yet. Thinking no windows. For the pass door to the garage I am thinking a door with a window but with the built in miniblinds that fit between the panes of glass. The two double hung windows for the garage to have the same thing. That way when we leave for a time I can draw the blinds and nobody can see in the garage.
Two motion lights for the overhang. The new style mini fluorescents for the garage.
For the sunroom, 4′ ceiling fan with good lighting centered and another outside motion over the sliding glass door to light the steps.
Oh, we also need to pick out the doors for the pocket doors that will separate the sunroom from the living room. They’ll be wood. Probably oak with windows with some nice frosted glass pattern.
Oh rah, it’s going to be fantastic when finished.
Once the main bathroom and living room and the bedroom I’m sitting in now are remodeled we will have a “new” old house. I sure will be nice to have a spare fridge and the freezer where we can get too it from inside.

if I may offer one suggestion, it’s to put in more outlets than you might do with code only (i.e. every six feet or so).
speaking from regrets, I would suggest to consider/anticipate where you might need some. I know it’s hard to anticipate, but we put in extras, and there’s still spots I wished I would’ve done some.
for example, try to think of say, parties/gatherings/holidays in sunroom, and a need for an outlet somewhere that may come in handy for those one-off times (i.e. Christmas lighting, fans in summer, an added light, a card table has a crockpot on, etc.).
It sounds like you’re not having closets as part of your additions, but boy oh boy I wish we would’ve done lights in all closets (we only did in most, but not all). good lighting, good lighting, good lighting. 🙂

Yep! Plenty of outlets for sure.
Once they are done here with their construction there is more to do. We are going to use vinyl wood finished tile in the sunroom and matching flooring for the living room. Going to repaint the living room. Remove the big oak entertainment center from the corner where it sits next to the fireplace. Clean the existing acoustic tile ceiling. Tear up the carpet in the living room. Then floor the sunroom and the living room with the same flooring. I will install oak crown molding in the living room, the existing base board is already solid oak and will be salvaged if possible. Two new wood doors with frames going into the two bedrooms that open off the living room. Add additional lighting.
I wanted real wood floors but the boss has nixed that so it will a fake vinyl stuff that is more impervious to damage and staining.
A New TV will be mounted over the fireplace mantle. In the corner where the entertainment center was will be fan shaped corner shelves with a corner cabinet underneath.
Then remodel the main bathroom. The smaller bathroom has already been done as have the two bedrooms the open off the living room.
AFter all that is done then that leaves the bedroom in which I am sitting that serves as an office and a general collection area.
I figure it will all be done about the time they cart me off to a nursing home.
LOL! I must be living right! Jay just called me. They’re going to start framing Wednesday next week! He had already worked out the details on the windows. Two five foot wide ones facing east and three facing north. For the east facing ones that will leave only 8″ for the corners and the space in between the two windows. On the north facing it will leave only 12″.
Sherry wants as much glass as possible for the pocket doors. So it will be oak framed glass windows for the pocket doors. I can have them made to size by a local company.
There is a trick to keeping sliding glass windows able to slide easily. Spray the track with dry graphite lubricant.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. You have seen the views from the International Space Station. Oceans and mountains, deserts and continents of ice, just flatten into one vista. Then recall the view of Earth the astronauts had when they orbited the moon. One described what he saw as a big blue marble.
What comes to your mind when you think about the sovereignty of God? One thought might be to realize that God has a big-picture view of everything. At the same time, He also sees the microbes that dwell in your bloodstream and keeps count of the hairs on your head.
And He is moving through the macro and micro universe to accomplish His purposes.
What are His purposes? C.S. Lewis put it this way: “This is God’s ultimate purpose — to recreate this fallen world and to bring about a new heaven and new earth. He is redeeming a people for Himself, with whom He will dwell and with whom He will share His own glory.”
What is there for you to do?
To fall at His feet and worship Him, to be a vessel He can use, and to align your perspective and your purposes with His. Give thanks that you can know such an awesome God. Pray that others would recognize that God is in control of it all and turn their lives to Him in faith and obedience.

A similar incident happened in September when a school bus driver in Provo, Utah was saved by his granddaughter after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest while operating the bus. The young girl was able to shift the gear into neutral and then reach the brake.
Frontline News reported a similar incident earlier this year in Michigan when a bus driver suddenly fell unconscious due to a “medical emergency.”
Dillon Reeves, a seventh-grade student at Carter Middle School, and over 60 other children were traveling home on a school bus when the driver suddenly “became lightheaded and lost consciousness.” Reeves quickly moved to the front of the bus, grabbed the steering wheel and regained control of the vehicle while instructing other pupils to dial 911.
Warren Consolidated Schools Superintendent Robert Livernois said he received a call from the driver just prior to the incident saying she was feeling ill and would be pulling over. After failing to do so, Reeves, who was sitting five rows behind the driver, committed his act of heroism.
In a similar incident last year, fifth-grader Sujaan Singh saved a school bus full of other children in Reminderville, Ohio after the driver suffered a “medical emergency.”
In September, a 53-year-old school bus driver in India suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while operating a bus. As many as forty children were saved when the driver managed to stop the bus in the second before he lost consciousness. He was later pronounced dead.
In April last year a 15-year-old medical response volunteer saved the life of a school bus driver while he was in the throes of a cardiac arrest. The driver managed to stop the bus in the middle of an intersection before losing consciousness.
Ok! I was asked about “notching” the logs on the log cabin I am helping Steve build.
They aren’t notched at the corners.
They are screwed down.
The logs are cut as 6″ x 6″ with three flat sides. The other side is the original tree finish debarked with a draw knife and sanded with a sanding disk on a 4″ hand grinder to remove the residue. The original tree side faces out.
Alternating courses have the ends sticking out 6″ on each end. In a course there will be two log for the long side that are 12″ longer than the foundation and then two logs for the short side that fit inside and are butted up to the longer logs. On the next course up the two logs for the short side are 12″ longer than the foundation and the two logs for the long side a butted up on the inside of those. Thus from a distance it appears like it is constructed with notched corners.
Once a course is set we staple a three layer thickness of plastic coated foam in the center of the top surface of the logs all the way down. The foam is also put on the vertical surfaces at the butt joints. Then the next course is laid on top of that. We drill pilot holes every two feet or so. Then countersink 1″ deep with a spade bit and then drive 8″ screws which penetrate 3″ into the log below.
The foam seals the joints. The joints will be chinked and the outside surfaces stained and then sealed with a clear coat.

JWoo, I will forward the link for help with recovering the body to the landlords attorney, hopefully it will help in some way, he has been in contact with the counsulate and initiated those procedures. The dogs and I are fine for now the landlord has placed us in a studio he had available temporarily. Trying to get ahold of anyone in a government agency is difficult in the US and near imposible outside CONUS, 1800 numbers do not work. I have found a private agency called USVETS based out of Ca but have been unable to contact them thus far…
